President Jozef Otčenáš hospitalized, emergency session called, vice president to take temporary power.

This morning the President was found unconscious in his bedroom by his staff early in the morning, having believed to have suffered a stroke the night before, still wearing his night robe. The president was rushed to the Kaesama state hospital and immediately put on life support as his condition seems to be dire, this shocking event comes only days before the presidents 78th birthday. His health and age have been a concern for some time now, serving the country for two decades. An emergency session was called in the Politburo regarding temporary appointment of the vice president into power, the presidents own son and head of the VKWP, Ludvík Otčenáš. Ludvík gave an address to the Politburo regarding the events,

"Comrades, as much as I wish to only be by my fathers side at this time, my duty comes first and foremost to my country and people. I will be assuming his position until god willing he recovers and assumes office once more. It is a concerning sequence of events, my father was the picture of good health and even in his late 70's often jogged in our local parks every morning. I am ordering an official investigation into the matter and all staff involved in his daily activities who could have done any possible foul play. Until my fathers health recovers the elections will be suspended temporarily until the situation clears, and all parties in the election can choose their front runners. I of course will be running myself for the presidency, and as I await my fathers recovery strongly hope he will retire after all the blood and sweat he has sacrificed for this nation, on the battlefield and at the polls. Lastly I am deeply hurt by the open comments made by many of the opposing parties regarding my fathers condition, specifically the remnants of the so called "Peoples party" and other firebrands stirring up hatred. I have received multiple letters wishing his death and mine, including death threats against us and our families. Rest assured, no insurrectionist or terroristic behavior will be tolerated, I am personally overseeing the deployment of the VKWP's paramilitary wing in the capital to aid our brave policemen in enforcing law and order. I ask for your prayers in this time, and to as always, as is the Kundrati way, stay strong and steadfast. Glory to Kundrati!"

With the elections just around the corner we sincerely at Pravda pray for the Presidents swift recovery, and give our wholehearted support to the VKWP, the true patriots party. Slava Kundrati!
