ROMULA - A few months into the third Moccia Government and ten from the beginning of the hegemony of the left, the first signs are emerging of an increasingly open, tolerant, and free society, where creativity, opulence, and individual freedom become pillars of daily life. The government, since last September, has decriminalized various private behaviors, including private parties with controlled drug use, escorting, and pornographic activities of all kind, entrusting the health system and harm reduction services with the monitoring of public safety and health. At the same time, funding and incentives for art, cinema, fashion, and music have been increased, allowing for complete creative freedom, although many criticizes saying that this is contributing to the normalization of excess and transgression as part of everyday life.
Young people's disposable income and their ability to consume have further increased thanks to competitive wages, subsidized credit, and a consolidated welfare system, encouraging active participation in high-level cultural events and entertainment. Among the most popular events are festivals, vernissages, fashion shows, and private parties that combine art, luxury, and the international jet set, cementing Istalia as a sought-after destination for global tourism. Since two years, one of the most notable events, attended in large numbers by young people from all over Istalia and abroad, is the restored "Amordance Festival", held like in the past within the pleasant plains south of Catambert, close to the border between Nicoma and Silicia. In the past, Amordance arose to be one of the largest and most important electronic music festival worldwide and the organizers have made no secret of their desire to make the event one of the main ones on the world stage again.
Criticism, of course, is now raining down endlessly on the government from traditionalists and conservatives of the country. The Aurorian Church and conservatives in parliament denounce a progressive departure from traditional values, while some members of the Hosian Democratic Union and the National Liberal Party emphasize the risks associated with tolerance of drugs and sex work, fearing a possible weakening of society's moral principles. The Hosian Democrats, furthermore, throught their parliamentary leader Luciana Bergoglio, stated that:
