Education Reform in Kundrati; Molding a future without hate.

Education is the lifeblood of every nation. It molds the future. It determines whether the future generations grow up ready for the needs of a better life, or grow up with our any tools and help. In Kundrati, it is vital for the future of our nation. You can do everything to get rid of hate but if the next generation grows up with that hate, then it's all for nothing. That is why the current Minister of Education, Emilli Ercolea (SDLP) has announced that the Ministry of Education will begin major reforms to itself, it's institutions and the curriculum across the entire country.
For starters, no one can learn if the textbooks are 40 years old and still think Kundrati was torn into two nations. No one wants to teach in a school that's rotting and collapsing. That is why the first step is modernizing and upgrading the infrastructure of schools. New modern textbooks, modernized classrooms, safe buildings, all the like. A special focus will be on acknowledging that this is a modern era. Schools across the country will be supported in rolling out low cost laptops and tablets for school usage. Alongside this, supporting the construction of education workshops and science labs to ensure STEM and the trades are adequately supported.
But modern classrooms aren't enough. The institution of education itself must be reformed. Hatred and bigotry must be ripped out, root and stem. The Ministry of Education will be authorized to create the Independent Education and Standards Authority, which will be responsible for setting all learning standards, textbooks, curricula, license teacher preparation programs, and ensure the publishment of school performance data. Alongside this, all newly printed textbooks will be required to pass a test of being not racially biased, politically biased, and pass a multi perspective, no hatred quality. We cannot have hatred slipping through the cracks. Furthermore, school governing. This is vital for rebuilding the framework of civic democracy outside of classrooms and the ballot box. As such, a legal framework will be created for school councils (consisting of teachers, parents and the community) with budgetary powers.
And the curriculum itself. The curriculum must be modernized and reformed. This is where the Kundrati Reconciliation and Civics Curriculum will come into play. For starters, the basics obviously. Math, language arts and science. Those will remain untouched. However, included in the curriculum will include history, with a special focus on what lead to the rise of the legion, the crimes they did, and how they fell. A special focus will be placed on the victims of the crimes that the Legion committed. Next, civics. The next generation will be taught in the way of democracy. They'll learn how the government works, rights and responsibilities, civic discourse and conflict resolution.
But what is education without educators? Across the world, you see cases of them often being ignored and disenfranchised. In Kundrati, this tragedy cannot be allowed to occur. As such, for teachers, they will receive full national certification, receive a major increase in pay, and be given a clear career latter. Furthermore, across the country, efforts will begin to train more teachers via college programs. For new teachers, they will receive mandatory paid mentorship.
To further bring down hate, all schools across the country will follow a uniform guideline over what defines hatred, bigotry, and discrimination. Every school district will be required to have counselors to ensure the mental health and wellbeing of staff and students. Healthy students are, after all, productive students.
But education doesn't stop at schools. The Ministry of Education has announced several programs for those out of school. Particularly offering college scholarships for those in underrepresented communities, disaffected communities or impoverished backgrounds. Furthermore, paid apprentice programs for those involved in public works.
