The Moccia IV Government focuses on social cohesion and the defense of freedoms: "We will not retreat one step"

ROMULA - The Teentime case of last year, which erupted following investigations that revealed the controversial nightlife of young people, comprising cases of abuse and exploitation of minors in some nightclubs, has profoundly shaken public opinion in Istalia. The images of very young people caught up in degrading environments, the complicity of a segment of the entertainment industry and the silence of those who should have been vigilant have created a rift in the country, sparking a heated debate between those calling for a return to moralism and those, like the government, who insist on the centrality of education, awareness and personal freedom.

Minister Segretary of State Fabrizio Moccia has decided to respond not with a retreat, but with a political and cultural revival. During the program's presentation conference, the Minister-Secretary of State stated:

The problems of a complex society are not solved by imposing moral codes or telling citizens how they should live. Our response will be more freedom, more education, more cohesion.

In response to this cultural and moral crisis, thus, the Council of Ministers approved the Plan for Cohesion and Freedom, an inter-ministerial strategy aimed at consolidating civil liberties, strengthening social responsibility and promoting an educational model based on respect and awareness.

Minister Secretary Moccia continued saying:

Defending freedom does not mean abandoning young people to the anarchy of toxic models and profit, but building the cultural and social tools so they can choose, understand and respect themselves and others.

Among the first initiatives announcd by the Ministry of Health and Social Services, in collaboration with the Ministries of Education and the Interior, is the National Plan for the Protection of Minors and Digital Culture.
The program will introduce mandatory modules in schools on media education, affectivity and conscious sexuality, to educate young people in the responsible use of social networks and to counter the growing hypersexualization of popular culture.

At the same time, a Media and Entertainment Ethics Authority will be established, with observation and guidance, not censorship, to monitor advertising campaigns, audiovisual content and productions involving minors.
The Government reiterates that this is not about imposing new bans, but rather ensuring transparency and accountability for those who influence younger audiences.

To support an alternative cultural model, a Youth Culture Fund will also be established, aimed at promoting artistic, musical and sporting projects capable of enhancing youth creativity and offering healthy and inclusive social spaces.
Additionally, psychological and legal counseling services offered by the schools will be reinforced for families and minors, with a particular focus on cases of hardship, violence, drugs and social media addiction, etc....

Finally, the units against exploitation and digital crimes of the law enforcement agencies will be strengthened, with the aim of ensuring a rapid and coordinated response to cases of child abuse, grooming and prostitution.

With these measures, the government intends to respond to the moralistic campaigns of conservative parties, which have attempted to exploit the Teentime case to relaunch the idea of a more interventionist state in citizens' private spheres.
Moccia, however, reiterated that:

Problems are not solved by imposing behavioral models or limiting individual freedom, but by educating, empowering and ensuring equal opportunities for growth and dignity.

The social cohesion program thus represents a new chapter in Istalia's process to adapt to the changing times: an attempt to strengthen ties between generations and protect the youngest without sacrificing the values of openness and freedom that characterized the era of reforms.

With the Plan for Cohesion and Freedom, Moccia is preparing to transform the cultural crisis that erupted with the Teentime case into an opportunity for collective growth, to build a more aware, free and supportive society.
