Anzlék-Zahr warns Xsampa: "Imperialism ends in blood and ashes"

Duchess Jarga Anzlék-Zahr, the current Prefect of the Kingdom of Wrnuke, has condemned Xsampan colonisation efforts.

With the recent developments in the lands formerly belonging to the Kingdom of Beiteynu the government has gravely condemned the radical decisions made by the involved parties. In the coalition agreement the Jez Shrmoishto, or Grand Coalition, outlined their plan to take a pro-active approach to 'sovereignty, justice, and freedom' in Majatra. This goes further than the previous Worldburnerist and royal dictatorship regimes that only cared about people within their ideologies and the Jelbosphere itself. Instead the more activist Grand Coalition seeks to fully fight for democracy and freedom on the Majatran continent. Minister of Foreign Affairs Dwít Z'nstro was already critical of Narikaton and Darnussia in a Grand Council debate: "The 'carving the cake' of Beiteynu was a grave mistake, even more so in a situation where one nation gets two-thirds of the pie. One can have doubts about the representation of the local people within this federal framework, what works on paper does not always work in practice." The statement was seen as a careful split from the nation's previous close ally, with even the King having been a resident and close friend of the Thallers during his exile.

Minister Z'nstro caught a lot of flak in the media for his statement, and today during a press conference the Prefect Anzlék-Zahr backed him up. Furthermore, she directly condemned the recent Shar-Mearvi Conference: "The world is regressing to times long gone, to those dark times when Luthorians and Hulstrians sat around a table and decided how to carve up the world. To even darker times when Artanians came to the shores of Majatra and forcibly colonised so many of our brothers and sisters. The imperialists of Xsampa are now doing exactly what they did. A nation of supposed socialists and communists should inherently be anti-imperialist. Instead we see how they throw aside all their principles for a swab of land on our sacred continent. I have just one thing to say to Xsampa: imperialism always ends in blood and ashes." The government has called upon nations across the globe to unilaterally condemn the deal between the Nisrad and Xsampa, with the Prefect also making a plea to Narikaton and Darnussia to reconsider their own position in Majatran lands. The cabinet has begun drafting a set of sanctions to be implemented against Xsampa, with the Finance Minister also hoping to include Narikaton and Darnussia but so far the Grand Council is rebelling against the notion of openly 'attacking' a former ally. For now, the King has submitted a request for the Xsampan ambassador to report to his palace on request of the Prefect, if they do not answer these summons sanctions will be immediately put into place.
