Directorate for Foreign Affairs confirms Talks with Istalia about approaching 3PF

The member states of the Triad specifically Narikaton and Darnussia and Istalia have had a rocky relationship historically. Historians explain this by ideological alignments of the past which caused the relationship to be permanently stained by mutual hostility/and or suspicious restraint. In any case, the Imperial State of Istalia has made the first step forward in a very unexpected turn of events and approached the Majatran branch office of the Directorate to initiate talks with Bannerhafen, mostly due to their interest in structuring and improving relations with the 3rd Point Federation. Many politicians as well as large parts of the electorate hold a sceptic attitude toward the behind-the-scenes talks between the two. Some argue that the burnt bridges left by past decades of Thallerism can never be rebuilt, others counter that real-existing Thallerism has ceased to exist for at least a millenium and that the two nations are natural allies due to their geopolitical interests.

Experts explain that the shift in Istalian attitude is a by-product of their reconciliation with Deltaria which ironically has a Thaller sitting on its throne. An anonymous official from the Presidential Chancellory stated that “if the Deltarians and the Istalians can be friendly, so can we.” It seems like that time will tell how the sands of time flowing will heal historic wounds.
