908 - 5642: Ezrahim (Beiteynu vs Neset)

Maria Kadiyot, old and frail, was leaning on the rails of the ship's deck; a simple, commercial cruise ship heading westwards, with a final destination in Gaduridos. The coasts of Northeast Vascania were gracing the horizon - probably a little bit of Rapa Pile further to her right.

As the wind of the open seas blew ferociously, she thought of what would soon befall her beloved homeland.

She had to flee; the Meleh's Gem safely tucked under her blouse on a chain around her neck.

Oh, Elior, how fate has changed and your firstborns are now chased away!

"It is done", Catherine Benowitz told the others; how ironic that their own intelligence toys and one of Allink's final acts was against their former masters. "It is now time to act upon our 5000-year-old vengeance"; a Tzafrir fidgeted. Again, the Goldblooms, curiously absent.

Her eyes, sad beyond relief.

WARNING - GRAPHIC MATERIAL

7 men suddenly broke off from the mechanised procession, knelt immediately and started moving in coordinated unison off the main street towards a block of high-end buildings. Like a train, the Jelbic-trained Yeudi marines entered through the main door.

Up the stairs. Floor 11. Hall to the left. Hall to the right. Door 114. Doorbell: Lora Kadiyot. They spread on either walls of it.

1 of them banged the door with a metallic cylinder. They rushed in; the woman exclaimed in the living room, standing up abruptly, blood leaving her face as eyes full of terror and comprehension eyed the heavily armoured men approaching her like silent, deadly cats.

1 of them pulled out a knife and gutted her. They left.

3 men did the same, at the same time, several blocks away. Up the flight of stairs of another building. Doorbell: Dimitri & Anna Kadiyot. Bang the door, go in. Couple struck with terror, child in the crib, laughing.

2 of them pulled out their military knives, approached the couple and gutted them, their hands holding their mouths.

1 of them gutted the child.

The radio chanted "Execute; execute; execute".

11 men broke off the procession at the same time, in another street in Yishelem.

9 more elsewhere; at the same time.

5 more 2 blocks southwest.

The command echoed.

All doors: Kadiyot.

The rusty wooden doors burst open with multiple bangs and Joseph Kadiyot walked in panting. Catherine Benowitz lifted her head lazily, that deep sadness still lingering in her eyes.

"What the -fuck- did you do?!", Joseph screamed. The others felt extremely unease.

"What you once did to us, asshole", she responded, wearily.

One of the two Thallers started turning a silencer on a handgun. The vibe changed immediately. Everybody fidgeted but dared not move more than an inch, the veil of death hanging around in this Yeudi Conclave room in North Kalopia.

"You just can't let go, can you", Joseph eyed the handgun, looking confused and angry.

"I can't let go? I?", Catherine bellowed; "you and your fucking gems, your lineage, your throne and your goddamn empire! We are both born of his blood, yet you are the one adamant about spilling it across time and space!".

"Don't pretend to be innocent Catherine"; and he spat on the floor in front of her.

"It's over, schmuck", she replied with cold-blooded determination.

The Thaller with the handgun stood up; he pointed it at the last known Kadiyot still alive, and shot him in the head.

The thud of his body falling on the floor echoed across 4734 years.
