Socialists claim responsibility for Recruitment Center explosion, 2 injuries, no deaths reported

Spokesperson for the Revolutionary Socialist Militia, Felicia Bennots-Phillips

Socialist Spokeswoman Felicia Bennots-Phillips held a brief Press Conference on the steps of the old Socialist Party Headquarters in downtown Kaliburg last night, to issue the following statement:

"The Revolutionary Socialist Militia of Kalistan accepts responsibility for the explosion last week which demolished the downtown recruitment center.  The aim of the explosion was to send a message to the current Government that their police state tactics will not be tolerated in a free Kalistan.  Their policies have already done irreparable harm to the the Nation of Kalistan, and therefore, our Party's Militia will not stop its activity until those policies are rolled back and fascism is outlawed in Kalistan once and for all.

"Our target, the military recruitment center here in the Capital, is merely a symbol of the larger problem in our nation, a nonstop trajectory from the abolition of nuclear weaponry to the establishment of fascism as a governing ideology in our nation.  The recruitment center itself was unpopulated at the time, and while the Militia regrets the injury caused to the two passers by, we are grateful that their lives were spared.

"In light of the government non-response to our actions, our own Militia has stepped up recruitment efforts in all districts, and will soon be fielding three more regiments of irregulars, to bring our total fighting strength above 3500 in the field, and no fewer than 3000 in support positions throughout the cities and villages of Kalistan.  We would note that at least one cell has been successfully infiltrated by Government agents, and we have taken additional measures to further decentralize command and control across the country to combat the desire for spies of the jack booted thugs to infiltrate any more of our units.  As a result of the infiltration, one combat infantry platoon has been decommissioned, and activities in Suldanor District have been temporarily halted.

"The Militia has authorized me to serve as the point person for all questions and discussions from interested parties.  As we work to bring the country off the cliff of civil war by getting the fascists and their so-called 'Socialist' allies in the PSP to resign, we will also work very diligently to internationalize this situation in Kalistan by publicizing the actions of the Militarists abroad."

Spokeswoman Bennots-Phillips then took questions from the bevy of reporters, mostly dealing with a possible endorsement for President of the Republic in the coming elections, as well as the possibility of yet another civil war in Kalistan.  Bennots often responded with the standard "I cannot make a comment on that question at this time." response, but in one telling moment she did suggest that the Militia has dropped its endorsement deal with the PSP over their unqualified and inexplicable support for the police state measures instituted by the Fascists, as well as their refusal to condemn the rise of fascism in Kalistan being moved forward by the CLD and the Minimalists.  Bennots-Phillips called the PSP "compradores" and betrayers of the people of Kalistan, saying, "Yes, we worked with the PSP, but this apparently is a new stripe for them which we did not see at the time.  We wonder how much it took to buy them off."

Howard-Carrangus named Governor of Neveras

In accord with the Governors Act and the results of the Last Election, the RSMoK names Sergeant Gianna Howard-Carrangus to the be the New Governor of the District of Neveras.

Howard-Carrangus is, like most of the political officers of the Socialist Militia, an artillery NCO.  One of the few political elites not associated with the Bennots dynasty of Ananto, Howard-Carrangus came up through the ranks in the Socialist Military fraternity before the militia was activated at the beginning of the 4th Crisis.  Her specialty in indirect fire shot-calling was renowned in her District association, and she is the three time reigning champion of round registration at the Socialist Militia Games.

Howard-Carrangus is expected to turn over Nevaras' District military to RSMoK organization and command.  Howard-Carrangus has explicitly ordered that no political reprisals be taken as a result of public calls for revenge against the fascists.  All suspected fascists are to be rounded up and sent to Fascist controlled zones in Odufaray after they are interrogated.  All those who resist the relocation will be interned for the duration of the conflict.


Socialist Partisans in the Mountains between Vrassa and Neveras, attempting to create a solid link between mountain Groups in Neveras and RSMoK forces in Ananto District

In other news, Socialist Partisans, in association with activities carried forth by the 5RLA and SLAM-KLAWS have launched a major link up operation between forces in Vrassa and strong points in the Neveras Mountains.  Several roads are held against the Socialists by strong National Military resistance, and at least three mountain passes leading into Neveras are blocked by fascist holdouts.  14 Socialist Partisans have been killed in sporadic fighting, but RSMoK commanders have reported that with the spring thaws in the mountains and the recent gains made by Socialists in District Governments, the stalemate will be ended by mid-Summer, and militia forces are expected to link up soon afterward.

RFP Press release

The RFP announces that it's party militia, the Kalistani Libertarian Army for World Socialism has secured the cities of Noella, Klupticana, Odufaray and Dana, Dana, Suldanor, in order to secure the Kluda against fascist activity.  Fighting was fierce, but we have managed to take control of the mouth of the Kluptoon River at Admiral Point and Pass Pagane.

Additionally we have set up secured areas in the People's Reclaimed District of Reynoldia, New Vintalli, Suldanor, in Pontefracte, Monty, Vrassa, Silver Beach, Jerristan, Odufaray, Bonghu, High Bong, Neveras, and in the old city of Port Davon in the former People's Imperial Palace.  In these areas, judges under the direction of Scribonius Veseli-Cuthbertson and the Kalistani Civil Liberties Union Extension (KLUE) are rapidly reviewing cases of people unfairly convicted under invalid fascist laws to be declared innocent and removed from detention.  Additionally, they are preparing to go forward on the cases for prosecution of Fascists.

New branches of the Clark Facility are being constructed in isolated areas of the Bedoll Valley of High Neveras, and in a location in Mount Mother Superior National Park.  Here we will assist former fascists to return as productive members of Kalistani Society, and treat those suffering from Fascist Dictatorship Support Syndrome.  Further branches of the Clark Facility are being constructed in other undisclosed areas according to Yaritza Williams. 

The Pagan Army of Nature is also operating in rural areas to disrupt fascist supply lines and to establish safety zones for rural Kalistanis endangered by fascist aggression.

We expect to additionally take control of the mouths of the Lucid, Kriz, and Neveras Rivers within a few days, as well as control shipping traffic in Sugar Bay, from outposts in Zebra Beach, and Sweet Port.  We also plan to take control of Catfish Bay and the Xanadu River of Ananto.

According to rumors released by apparent spokespeople of the February Guard, Andrew A. Andrews, Andrea Q Andrews, and Andrew W. Andrews, the February Guard, the Circle of the Violent Rose, the Aquarius Society, and their allies, are proceeding successfully with their usual activities, according to rumors.

After a battle in Vrassa City, 213 members of the fascist Eagle Militia have surrendered to RFP-KEG-SLAM forces. 

The RFP-KEG-SLAM and it's allies invite the remaining fascists who have infected our Country to surrender unconditionally, completely, and immediately.

SOCIALISTS POISED TO HEAD NEW COALITION GOVERNMENT

Recent elections in Kalistan have shown the popular support for the anti-fascist allies in Kalistan.  Therefore, it looks as if the Socialists will join a coalition Government for the first time in decades in Kalistan as the 4th Conflict slowly winds down.


Felicia Bennots-Phillips, soon to be named Premier of Kalistan

Socialist spokesperson, Felicia Bennots-Phillips has been named to the Shadow Premier seat in time for the coming election in the Assembly, and will likely be the next Premier of Kalistan.  Gianna Howard-Carrangus has been asked to serve as Foreign Minister, while maintaining her post as Governor of Neveras.  Eduardo Kington, Captain Frederick H. Griffin (Signals), Dana Oberst, and LaVar Fredrico round out the Socialist Delegation at Trade, Defense, Health, and Education respectively.

In other news, the Revolutionary Socialist Militia has broken through between Vrassa and Neveras, and is now in the process of fortification of their positions ahead of what is expected to be a ceasefire offer from the incoming Government.

RFP Press Release.

The RFP announces that with the dissolving of the last of the parties who took part in the fascist uprising, but who did not surrender, the RFP has ordered it's party militia, the Kalistani Libertarian Army for World Socialism to stand down.

For the moment, the RFP will remain in it's Revolutionary Freedom Party Stance.

Additionally, the RFP announces that it's current party leader, Blondell Takashi will be running for president in the next elections, and requests the support of the Kalistani Left Alliance.

Aquarius Society Press Release.

The Aquarius Society announces that, under it's auspices, Juan-Antonio Kumar Wilson-Ananto has been declared Emperor of Kalistan as Juan-Antonio I. After taking the Platinum Throne in Port Davon, as per tradition, he traveled to Razak, Poppistan, Vrassa, where he was crowned King of Razak.

Juan-Antonio I was stated to have said, "I am so proud of the people of Kalistan for standing strong and beating back the fascist invasion in the most recent Crisis. It was truly a great victory for socialism and for libertarian socialism. I am humbled to be the symbolic representation of anarcho-monarchism in our great nation.

He then lead the crowd in the singing of the Kalistani National Anthem, and the Ballad of Patrick the Martyr.

Kalistan's Patriotic News(KPN) is back again!The newspaper of the party reopens and alongside that, we hope a new era for Kalistan will begin. 
Tonight, we publicise the speech of Tony Smith, spokesman of the party,in Ananto:

''Our party has been for a long time absent, did not participate in legislative or presidential elections and was demonised by diversity an apathy.  Luckily, a young lawyer from Odufaray Roy Koriston took the initiative and recreated the party from the ashes of destruction.  He convinced his fellow Patriots, that what they have in common, are more than what separates them.  He said that it is time for a new kind of politics for a new time.  He said that the Patriotic Rebellion will seek for a cabinet that unites people, brings them together and gives them incentives to create and imagine.  For that, a wide consensus amongst the parties is needed.  Unluckily, RFP's comments have insulted our democratic sense and therefore we conclude any cooperation with that party.  We made a contact with the International Unity Party, but they will accept the cabinet coalition proposed by SPoK.  So, they leave us with no other option.  We seek majority of the seats by ourselves and for that we will fight with all our powers and we will do our outmost for the purpose.  Not because we want the ministerial positions or because we are humbled by power and influence or money and fame, but because we have deep passion for the Free and United Country of Kalistan.  It is time to block the Socialist coalition and their destructive policies.  Unwilling to modernize the country, supporters of statism and corruption, thay have destroyed every invesmtent effort, whether it comes from the inside or outside of the country.  They don't want to privatize failing industries, they spend way too much and above all, they live in a dreamy world, believing that what they've created is a welfare state.  Instead, they have built a big, corrupt and disappointing state.  They have destroyed the corporations with taxes, they have freezed the market with unfair rules and they have widened corruption to many aspects of every day's life.  Their unwillingness to change means we have to restructure the country.  Our previous statements don't mean we are capitalists.  Instead, we believe the state is a regulator and the power against monopolies.  The goverment must intervene, exceptionally when unfairness is witnessed.  We think now is the time for a new spirit of enterpreneurship, of patriotism, of innovation and of devotion to reforms and changes needed in order to radicalise the country.''

GOVERNMENT NAMED GOVERNORS; STRESSES PUBLIC SERVICE

In accord with the District Government Act of 3339, the Socialist Party has named the following partisans to be Governors in their respective regions:

1 Ananto District: Daniella Bennots-Carrangus
2. Odufaray District: Dr. Howard Stevens
3. Nevaras District:: Imogene Carrangus
4. Suldanor District: Victor Handel

All Governors will report to District Government immediately, and begin work in the implementation of the law in those Districts.

In related news:
* the SP has offered to supply temporary staffing for District Branches until a new bureaucracy can be appointed. Of primary importance is NSP activities in the District, and the full functioning of the National Food Bank.
* A Summer of service has been called for all veterans of the NSP. Beginning in the Spring, SP will pay a a premium for all those who volunteer to work alongside NSP activities rather than working in their normal jobs. The SP has argued that national service and public works have been woefully neglected during the SP's tenure in Office, and consequently, the SP has taken it upon themselves to encourage young people across the Republic to work to improve roads, public buildings, and strategic farms for the benefit of the entire nation. The SP will pay a 3% premium over a worker's normal salary for the months May through September for all volunteers.

BREAKING NEWS- The SP nominates Schultz as candidate for President, Announces New Initiatives for Kalistan


Dr. Georg Schultz, ODEN:  SP candidate for President in the 3759 Elections

Today, the Socialist Party of Kalistan announced that it had nominated Georg Schultz to run for President in the 3759 elections. The Socialist Party had supported the RFP's Candidate in elections over the last few decades, with varying degrees of success, and has decided that the time is right to make a bid for the office. Schultz is currently an Associate Director of Balances at ODEN here in Kaliburg. Schultz has bid to continue the Governing Coalition which has directed Kalistan affairs for the past few cycles, and has offered to continue to work with SEE to ensure that the various Party Portfolios are adequately addressed in the Government, should he win. Schultz acknowledged the disappearance of the of the PCC, and will continue to work in government with the SEE as it has, regardless of who has won the election.

In other News, The SP has announced that its militia will be partially activated for the purpose of drills. Ananto, Odufaray and Neveras regiments are to report at SP training grounds outside Kaliburg for the first round of drills. Vrassa and Suldanor regiments will conduct MOUT drills on the grounds of Bennots Estate in Suldanor. The SP has also begun converting SP owned merchant Marines into a fast-ship coastal militia, for the purposes of practicing amphibious operations in Odufaray. The SP calls its militia up for drills in accord with the Party Militia Law. Drills are expected to last for two weeks, after which time, the Militia will be stood down.

Finally, the SP has announced its new Legislative Agenda for the final year of this cycle. Party spokeswoman Felicity Kreuger stated Wednesday Last: "The Socialist Party will remain committed to social justice and economic equality. We have had to adjust our spending and taxation priorities recently to bring the budget back into balance, but as the RFP steps into Economic Ministry, we can focus on our legislative agenda. Within the next year, we will evaluate our positions, and then potentially promote a Socialist Positions omnibus with the goal of making some adjustments to our Party's positions. We will also continue to defend the gains made by Kalistani People and prevent the roll back of the the dual economy in Kalistan. We have had some very productive conversations with the SEE, and look forward to continuing to work with them and the RFP on meaningful legislation in Kalistan. We will build on our successes for the future of the People of Kalistan."

Of course, Kalistan will continue to prosper as a nation as long as they enact the program of the Socialists.

SOCIALISTS TAKE PRESIDENCY, LOSE NEVERAS IN RECENT ELECTIONS

The Socialists celebrated a narrow victory last month on the Second Ballot of the President Elections, returning to office for the first time in decades.  RFP endorsement on the second ballot gave Schultz the majority. As a result, incoming President Schultz finds himself executive of a country with a balanced budget, a stable government, and cooperation between the ideological left and right. The President issued the following statement:

"We wish, first of all to express our sympathy for the family, friends, and political associates of Former President, and our opponent in the previous election, President John Roberts. He was an honorable individual, and no words can express the sorrow of the nation at his loss.

"Looking to the future, we hope to continue to work with the SEE, who has replaced our Party as Plurality, and will name the next Prime Minister. We have offered a test resolution on seating, and hope to have a new government in place well before the end of the year. In the meanwhile, Premier Bennots has proposed a constitutional amendment restoring a codified prerogative to the Presidency. We welcome her efforts, and encourage all Parties to join the effort."

In other news, The Socialist Party has named District Governors for Ananto and Odufaray. Upon departure from the office of Premier, Daniella Bennots-Carrangus will return to the office of Governor of Ananto District, and Corporal Freida Delgado, SP-Odufaray Artillery Corps, was named Governor of Odufaray. Delgado will act as acting Governor for Ananto until Bennots resumes her post later this year.
