Almost Election time!

Welcome to the first official aired program of Dorvik News Service, I am your host Elena Horst. For those who do not know Dorvik News Service was launched by the Communist Party of Dorvik under the party station. Though not officially the state declared news service we are hoping that with elections we can obtain the rights to do so. Our first report comes with the nearing of elections, in January the people of Dorvik will vote on the new Reichstag (Soon to be People's Congress of Dorvik) seats, with the recent founding of the Federalist Party the CPD will have some competition though the CPD believes that the will of the people will lead them onto success in the elections; despite some set backs in their first time in office.

General Secretary Petrov has released his manifesto at the 2nd Party Congress in Vinisk, reports are that the focus will be on eliminating harmful influences from Dorvik and seeking to establish foreign ties with nations who have similar politics as our self; which prompted Deputy General Secretary (Candidate for Premier) Adrik Ivanov to release a statement asking anyone wishing to engage in diplomatic negotiations to contact the CPD directly. The CPD has recently joined The International, this is a wondrous achieve for the CPD which was only founded months ago, we are rapidly approaching 1 year of service to the people. Though with a heavy heart General Secretary Petrov has noted that he will attempt to reform the military and stop the fascist, capitalist influences within the military.

Recent Success in the Reichstag

We move to our next report, the CPD's recent success in the Reichstag. Though meeting little opposition for it's bills seeing as the Federalist Party holds no seats, the CPD has generally improved the nation sweeping away the fascist elements such as the former flag which displayed the Imperial Bird of the former National Socialist parties of old. The CPD has also allowed for a more democratic process in the Reichstag, allowing for more bills with more proposals to be brought forward, the Federalist Party agreed openly with the CPD on the bill, the CPD also avoted Yes for two bills proposed by the Federalist Party about the ability to euthanize someone. Though the CPD defeat the Federalist Party's attempt to seek power in the Autonomous Districts by attempting to allow local appointment of mayors; protests raged through the streets of a few cities when they heard the attempt; General Secretary Petrov called for calm noting that the bill would be swiftly defeated and not tolerated.

In the future moves the CPD has called for an increase in the amount of seats in the Reichstag, the amount of 75 to 150 to allow for more ideals to be instilled in the government. They have also called for the change of the nation name, claiming it be changed from the autocratic Free Republic of Dorvik to the People's Republic of Dorvik, Deputy General Secretary Adrik Ivanov has released a full statement on the name change and it's reason; you can pick up a copy at the local City office or your regional office. General Secretary Petrov has also called for the name of the Reichstag to be changed from the Reichstag to the People's Congress of Dorvik once again General Secretary petrov cited that the fascist and monarchic remnants still exist in Dorvik and the people do not wish for that.

Opening news
Hello again everybody I am your host Elena Horst, we come to you on a beautiful day in Dorvik. We have some amazing news, the People's Congress of Dorvik is still held by the Communist Party of Dorvik! All 150 seats; though in other news the Federalist party has been rumored to be making gains with dissidents within the government, Premier Ivanov has already stated that there are no dissidents within the government as everyone is allowed to speak freely; General Secretary Petrov has yet to release word on his opinion of the subject. Let's move onto our other top stories.

New National Flag
The People's Congress of Dorvik moved to change the current flag of the nation, some feel that it is too representative of a former, more ancient government and have went forward to include that national color of Dorvik within the new flag, Dmitry Dolgorukov the Minister for Culture has stated that "...This new flag will represent the will of the people and the will of the nation..." Also the nation's cultural minister, Dmitry Dolgorukov has released a statement which outlines the revival of Dorvik history and it's diverse populations.

State Media confirmed
In a legislation passed by the People's Congress the Communist Party has won over rights to all state media, both radio and television making it easier for them to remove the harmful influences which threaten to penetrate our society. General Secretary Petrov has already noted that anyone who was an owner or a manager or even a member of a television or radio station before the party took power to please come and they will give you a job and a similar position. Premier Ivanon, a noted member of the CPD's Communications Committee has already stated that the media is flourishing. It shall be up within the next month or so was his estimated time.

Military reform and recovery
The face of General Secretary Petrov was shown in every home today as he spoke about the necessity for defense and security, he launched a campaign in the People's Congress to reform the military into a more stable and suitable position. The Military Reform Act I-2962 has lead to the disbanding and creation of the People's Military of Dorvik, the official military of the People's Republic of Dorvik, while some rumors are floating around that the CPD is looking to establish a paramilitary wing of the party, Premier Ivanov, General Secretary Petrov and Defense Minister Stormov all dismissed the rumor as "...fascist and barbaric..." Within the coming weeks you shall see the PMD grow in size and strength, General Secretary Petrov notes that this is merely for the security of the nation.

BREAKING NEWS: Black Eagle Association wins out!
August, 5555

Haldor, Greater Kordusia - In the midst of the chaos of a snap election, the Black Eagle Association was able to seize the will of the people and win out in the August, 5555 State Election. Ardaric von Rohr-Mauss, the expected State Chancellor, welcomed the decision on the steps of the State Council building in Haldor as he greet jubilant crowds alongside His Majestic Highness, the true King of Dorvik: Franz von Faust-Essen. His Majestic Highness grabbed the hand of Ardaric and raised it into the air and shouted: "Long Live Sacred Dorvik!" The crowd roaring in applause, according to the Ministry of the Interior and officials with the State Security Service, the crowd was estimated to be approximately 137,000 with hundreds of thousands of others littered throughout the other cities in Dorvik celebrating the return to what many call "normalcy". Black Eagle Association is expected to take their seats in the State Council the following day, after the election, and swear in the new Council of Ministers by the end of the month.

Agrarian Communist Party and Communist Party of Dorvik Make up latest cabinet
The Cabinet Proposal of July 3026 passed with 272 voting yes, and 228 abstaining. The former ruling majority, the Catholic Political Union was stripped of it's super-majority in the last elections and the combined seats of the Agrarian Communist Party and the Communist Party of Dorvik have made an entirely new majority which has seen the Catholic Political Union stripped of all it's power, except the Head of state which is a ceremonial role at best.

The latest cabinet is chaired by Trajan Petrov, General Secretary of the Communist Party of Dorvik and leading committees from the Agrarian Communist Party. The ACP and CPD have formed a close alliance over the past years.

State Chancellor sets Council of Ministers, sets sight on economic restoration.

Haldor, Greater Kordusia - State Chancellor Ardaric von Rohr-Mauss was swift in the development of his Council of Ministers, many of them veteran political families that have served the people for Dorvik for centuries and have a keen eye for politics and the landscape of the world. The incoming Foreign Minister, Andrej Weschler, has worked at the Foreign Office for several years prior to his appointment as Minister of Foreign Affairs. Weschler has re-called several dozen ambassadors and appointed new ambassadors in their stead, largely those that were incompatible with the mission and vision of the new King and new State Chancellor. In addition, the Kingdom has sought to normalize relations across the board and the Foreign Office confirmed nearly a dozen discussions on-going with several nations to normalize relations, development new ties and expand on economic cooperation. The State Chancellor and Foreign Minister are expected to visit Lodamun in the coming months, a state visit from Hobrazia is planned and a number of other state visits and high-level meetings are in the works. The domestic situation has been tense as the Ministry of the Interior has focused on the changing of laws throughout the various regions of Dorvik, the provinces as well as working to appoint and promote thousands of civil service workers across the country.

The State Chancellor has appointed a new General-Plenipotentiary (Permanent Representative) to the Pan-Dundorfian Free Trade Treaty to oversee additional implementations and ensure that notable border crossings in Miktar and Largonia are equipped to handle the influx of trade. "We welcome Pan-Dundorfian cooperation, and we're eager to re-develop ties with Narikaton and Darnussia and thank them for carrying the banner of Pan-Dundorfianism." The Black Eagle Association includes a number of pan-Dundorfian organizations including representatives from the Political Leadership Corps of the VDKV's Dorvish region. Hauptbefehlsleiter Emil Brötzmann, the new General-Plenipotentiary to the Pan-Dundorfian Free Trade Association, is expected to work closely with both Dundorf, Narikaton and Darnussia and potentially Aloria should the situation come to fruition. The emphasis on rebuilding the economy continued as the State Chancellor appointed Dr. Madlene Heilbronner as the new Dorvish Trade Commissioner and General-Director of the Foreign Economic Council, a powerful body which largely controls Dorvish foreign investment and trade across the globe and domestically.

ACP and CPD lose majority
With the recent election, the Agrarian Communist Party and the Communist Party of Dorvik have lost their combined majority in the Supreme Soviet of State, the national legislature of the People's Republic of Dorvik, the current seat display shows:

Communist Party of Dorvik - 118 Seats.
Agrarian Communist Party - 107 Seats.
Catholic Political Union - 275 Seats.

However, the statement released from the Communist Party of Dorvik's press office has stated that while the General Secretary was disappointed by the election results "...the will of the people has spoken, and they have concluded that the CPD and ACP have not gotten the job done, therefore they have put the CPU back into power; we hope that we can change their thoughts and their opinions however we doubt that will show overtly until the next election."

Communist Party of Dorvik Party Congress held
The firstly numbered CPD Party Congress, known now as the 1st Party Congress, was held. Trajan Petrov, the now 50 year old General Secretary was re-elected to the post by unanimous vote, however, Premier candidate and Deputy General Secretary Wolf von Leibitz has met opposition due to his recent run in with the CPD party paramilitary leaders, however he was elected again to his post in a 400-100 vote.

State Bank confirms start of large-scale infrastructure projects.

Schwarzenbüren, Largonia - Officials from the State Bank of Dorvik have confirmed that the State Capital Fund would be providing a low-interest loan to the Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport to continue with plans to revitalize the continually stalled Alpenpass (Luthorian: Alpine Pass). The project, initially slated for nearly 200 years ago, was to develop a highway system which connects Largonia and Miktar, cutting the transportation and preventing having to go around the Black Mountain Chain for overland travel. The project, which is expected to take seven years and cost approximately $50m LOD will provide the Dorvish economy, especially in Largonia and Miktar with a much needed boost and as typical with Dorvish loans, the government requires that approximately 45% of all workers hired on the project are the unemployed and provided additional training and education, of which the State Capital Fund will provide a grant of an additional $25m LOD if the targets and goals are met. The oversight of the project will be handled locally by the Provincial ministries of Infrastructure and Transport, Minister-President of Largonia Konrad Danneberg welcomed the announcement from the State Bank of Dorvik and highlighted the need to improve internal commerce within the nation. "Largonia's unemployment has reached approximately 7.3% and that is unacceptable." On a whole, according to the Ministry of Finance, Dorvish unemployment is approximately 12.3% of a the population and a much needed source of income and re-development will focus on what the Dorvish have historically done best: "hard infrastructure" such as roadways, railways, energy infrastructure and the like. Officials from the Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport highlight that the project will also be connected to the Black Mountain Chain Railway, of which it will be connected to.

New government takes power in Dorvik

Following the May 3066 General Election, Wolf von Leibitz held onto the Presidency for the Communist Party, but the People's Assembly fell into the hands of the Catholic Political Union and Enlightenment Party, which will form Dorvik's new government, fronted by senior CPU leader Claire Johnson. "We have a job to do, and will get on with governing in the best interests of the country for the next 4 years, said the new Chancellor.

Haldor, Greater Kordusia - State Chancellor and Foreign Minister Andrej Weschler welcomed the Beluzian Prime Minister Zachary Jameson to Haldor to discuss the development of economic ties and diplomatic normalization. The visit, taking place in late November, 5555, focused on the development of trade between the nations. The nascent Dorvish Kingdom looking to re-develop their economic output over the coming years, the Dorvish offering both investment and welcoming investment into the nation as a whole. Beluzia and Dorvik have always maintained cordial diplomatic relations, never really expanding beyond basic regional trading partners and the Dorvish government seeks to really expand trade ties with the western Artanian nation as a whole. "We're going to have discussions at a high-level on the development of new trade relations, focused on the development of the typical Dorvish infrastructure and investment in the Beluzian financial sector." In recent years since the restoration of the "True Kingdom", according to Dorvish political watchers, the Dorvish financial sector has once again spread its tendrils through Artania, working to develop ties with dozens of banks and financial institutions across Artania. Prominent Artanian financial institutions have returned their headquarters across Dorvik, namely to Wasse-am-Kas, the financial capital of Dorvik and the recent developments in Majatra have sparked a huge uptick in the Dorvish-Majatran Bank and the Dorvish Development Bank's local Majatran branches. While the Dorvish never fully "slipped" from their dominance in the Artanian oil and natural gas market, the Natural Resources Technical Management Corporation, often known as the NTVS, was present with the meeting between Haldor and the Beluzian government and oil and natural gas exports will begin at once.

New Central Committee and paramilitary leadership for the CPD.

DAP (Dorvik Associated Press) - Today, April 3067, the Communist Party of Dorvik has announced it's new senior leadership for the next years. Silas Petrov, son of Raymond Petrov, founder of the Communist Party of Dorvik will become General-Secretary following in his two brothers foot steps, Hadrian and Trajan. Silas is a fiery young man who has a long history for asserting dominance into the many regions of Dorvik. He came to prominence as the Governor of Dorvan with his reform of the social welfare system in Dorvan, this is amongst his many good deeds that has been well received by the media. Silas is also known for his fanatical militarism and continued support of the Dorvik Military, having earned himself the title of Colonel in the Dorvik Army. Silas seeks to return the CPD to number one in Dorvik, leave the rest of the parties behind.

Aside from announcing the new leadership which consists of Silas and his close friend and ally, Ulrich von Gorahm, Silas has also announced the disbanding of the Red Guard. The Red Guard was the former paramilitary group of the CPD, the new paramilitary group will be the Kampfgruppen der Arbeiter, or Battlegroups of the workers. The Kampfgruppen der Arbeiter, known as the KdA will be lead by another ally of Silas, Nikolai Ivanov, grandson of former Deputy General-Secretary Adrik Ivanov. The new General of the KdA has announced that he will not use this to "...seek revolution, attempt coups or play kingmaker." However, skeptics in the government believe this is a further ploy to cement the dictatorial powers of the CPD.

At this time, no other central committee names have been released.

The Black Eagle soars again? An insight into Dorvish defense rebuilding.

Haldor, Greater Kordusia - Minister of Defense Sigismund von Gath, scion of the Gath family, announced that the three drydocked, essentially bare bones Kaiser-class aircraft carriers would be cannibalized in order to produce a functioning Kaiser-class in the coming 5 to 10 years in accordance with the state budget. The Defense Minister met with several candidates for the role of Chief of the Supreme General Staff and Inspector-General of the Armed Forces alongside the State Chancellor in November, 5555 and early December, 5555 and selected Admiral Magnus Gyrowetz to become the new Chief of the Supreme General Staff and Inspector-General of the Armed Forces of Dorvik. The selection of a member of the Dorvish Navy places great emphasis on the Kingdom's quest to return to being a blue water navy in the future, especially as the "great game" kicks off again. The Dorvish are not blind to the obstacles in their way, training and command selection have dwindled and the Dorvish national spirit requires a rekindling that can only be brought on by service to the Kingdom and its people. As the Artanian historian Mathias Hornbostel stated "Whereas some states possess an army, the Dorvish army possess a state." , something that according to those Dorvish watchers, they have lost but are regaining it slowly. It is expected that by the New Year, 5556 Admiral Gyrowetz will be promoted the rank of Generaladmiral and will be at the helm of the Supreme General Staff, citing formal approval by the State Council.

Since the assumption of the Black Eagle Alliance in August, 5555 the Dorvish Armed Forces have worked tirelessly with interim Chief of the General Staff General (Air Force) Victor Jürgens working to re-develop the armed forces on a strategic level. The first was conducting an internal review aimed at purging those associated with corruption of dereliction of duty to the people of Dorvik. In accordance with military law, approximately 375 members of the Dorvish Armed Forces were arrested and court-martialed for their association with corruption and dereliction of duty, the next focus came on working with the State Council to re-develop the budget for the armed forces and the state budget continues to be in the works according to representatives from the Supreme General Staff. The final piece of the puzzle came as retention and training became a fixation of the heading-towards-retirement Chief of the Supreme General Staff, with an eye on professionalization and retaining officers, non-commissioned officers and enlisted personnel in key duty assignments. General Jürgens was also able to secure a key agreement within the Dorvish-Hobrazian Strategic Partnership Agreement in that the Dorvish would re-open a joint base in Hobrazia, named after the first commanding officer of the base, VIce Admiral Lennart Knoerr. The base will focus notably on the development of logistics between Hobrazia and Dorvik, with great emphasis on the Dorvish conducting underway replenishment and re-developing their ability to support missions abroad.

As it is tradition, the Dorvish Armed Forces have conducted their wide-scale review of equipment and worked on replacing and modernizing their equipment. Defense representatives from dozens of defense corporations, most notably Artanian Defense Group (ADG), which has restored its facilities in Dorvik and seeks to re-develop its deep ties to Artanian-based countries. This includes a wide-scale overhaul of aerospace facilities, largely managed by the Dorvish Air Forces' Konestadt Air Base, in Konestadt, Dorvan where the Dorvish Space and Rocket Command (Dundorfian: Weltraum- und Raketenkommando) is based. The most notable focus will be on the modernization of the widely used Terran Positioning System (TPS), a major focal point of Dorvish aerospace investment over the course of the coming years.

Haldor, Greater Kordusia - Chief of the Supreme General Staff Generaladmiral Magnus Gyrowetz confirmed a new modernization program aimed at upgrading and updating the Dorvish Navy's 15 Graf-class ballistic missile submarines while admitting that the Dorvish Navy was seeking to develop new submarines, both nuclear powered and conventional. The Graf-class, jointly developed with Hutori, is one of the Dorvish's prized possessions and the program was a closely guarded secret and upon unveiling, provided the Dorvish with an unparalleled "spear" in both nuclear warfare and conventional warfare. In the press conference in which the new Chief of the Supreme General Staff was named, he also noted that the Dorvish Navy had asked the State Council for approval for 5 more Graf-class, and another 10 Fürstenscheid-class conventional submarines. This comes at a time when the Dorvish Navy is aiming to rebuild its capabilities of its surface fleet which has suffered from neglect over the past several decades and has received little maintenance or attention according to those close to the Dorvish Naval Staff and the Supreme General Staff.

While the focus has been on the development of the Dorvish Navy and its equipment, the General Supply Department, which is the combined logistical apparatus of the entire Dorvish Armed Forces, has seen a wide-scale refit and a large number of logistical officers have been promoted in order to develop the logistical effectiveness that the Dorvish Armed Forces prided themselves on. "We've got to focus on the mantra that "Logistics wins wars" in the near future." While the Dorvish Navy has been the focal point of the new Chief's leadership, the Dorvish Army confirmed that they had been re-working the KF51 Panther program, somewhat of a modernization of the Leopard 2A7 and 2A8 programs, potentially a replacement depending on the future according to the Inspectorate of the Army. The new Chief also announced a restoration of the "Black Eagle" bi-annual military exercises, the first time that they would have been conducted in several years.

The Dorvish Air Force has been paid little attention to, but according to sources close to the Dorvish Air Force, the Dorvish Air Force has quietly restored its focus on its unmanned aerial warfare systems. The initial focus began in 5378 and continued underneath the watchful guise of the Air Force Procurement Office (Dundorfian: Fliegertruppe-Beschaffungsamt) in cooperation with Quantum Defense Engineering GmbH (Dundorfian: Quantenverteidigungstechnik GmbH). The two prominent models that are being operated by the Dorvish Air Force are the maritime-based Quantum Möwe (Luthorian: Seagull; Internal MQ-4C) and the Quantum Sensenmann (Luthorian: Grim Reaper; Internal MQ-9C) with further models being developed according to representatives from Quantum.

"We are worried about this Act, the name doesn't seem so reassuring and it makes us thing the CPD wants a return to a communist nation, CPD and NSPD that in our opinion are two authoritarian parties have decided to use the Russian and German languages two languages that in past expressed two authoritarian thoughts, Dorkiv has always used English and people don't care about it, English or French are always used in all world and usually they are associated to free countries, we don't know how it will end up but we all hope CPD and NSPD think of that very well, because Dorkiv don't want another dictatorship.

Dorvish, Dundorf and Narik and Darnussian governments meet in Haldor to discuss Pan-Dundorfian cooperation.

Dorvik - Foreign Minister Andrej Weschler welcomed the Foreign Ministers of Dundorf and Narikaton and Darnussia to Haldor in the early weeks of March, 5556 to discuss Pan-Dundorfian cooperation. The Pan-Dundorfian Cooperation Forum (Dundorfian: Gesamtdundorfisches Kooperationsforum) was announced after the foreign ministers of the three countries agreed to meet to discuss a number of topics, mostly the Pan-Dundorfian Free Trade Zone Agreement and how to better develop trade between the three nations. "It's a great moment when our Dundorfian brothers and sisters come together in these moments to embrace our deep cultural ties with each other." In addition to representatives from each nation being present, hundreds of business leaders from across a number of fields were present and were able to mingle and discuss the development of business ties, investments and the wider impact cooperation with each other. In recent years the Dorvish economy has seen in uptick in trade with both Dundorf and Narikaton and Darnussia as a result of the trade agreement and it's impact on the growth of the Dorvish economy cannot be mistaken according to the Dorvish Trade Commission. The Dorvish General-Plenipotentiary (Permanent Representative) to the Pan-Dundorfian Free Trade Treaty, Hauptbefehlsleiter (VDKV) Emil Brötzmann, spoke at length about the need to continue Pan-Dundorfian cooperation and how its impact on all 3 economies has been monumental. The Dorvish government has also offered to work with the Narikaton and Darnussian government to potentially find ways to expand the Black Mountain Chain Railway to Narikaton and Darnussia, providing a vital railway link to the nation. The Black Mountain Chain Railway connects Dorvik, Dundorf, Kundrati and Kirlawa however Luthori and Ikradon are not a part of it but could potentially benefit from the BMCR. The Dorvish Foreign Minister also revived hope that the Dorvish could develop the so-called "Southern Pipeline" for years, again potentially connecting a large part of the continent to the vast Dorvish oil and natural gas market.

New Party Forms From Other Party Ruins

The previous National Socialist Party of Dorvik, changed its name twice until it became officially the People's Party. The National Socialist Party used to be one of the leading parties in Dorvik, with almost always second-majority in the then People's Assembly. After being dissolved by its leader in 3062 it was re-established 4 years later by new leadership and by the parties leftist-previous members. These leftist members only accepted the socialist idea of the party as well as the belief of a oligarchy ruling the nation, and not the Fascist ideas the leadership of the party tried to impose, this brought up to the events of the first parties breakup.

The new leadership of the People's Party hopes to achieve a majority with the Communist Party of Dorvik in the soon to be National Assembly, and to restore true values of the country; and to change the laws that have imposed the people in chains.

It was the first meeting between the Dorvish and Alorian monarchs in centuries, as the Dorvish monarch welcomed a return for the Alorian monarch and recognition to the restored monarch. The Alorian and Dorvish monarchs, once underneath the Dundorfian Reich, have a long shared history and the restoration of the Alorian kingdom comes at a time when the continent seeks stability, something that the Dorvish feel a monarchy provides.
