The Harrington Company of St. Christopher was formed by an act of the National Congress in October 5348. 

It exists as one of the more unique structures in Terra as it stands as a chartered company in the service of the Commonwealth of Lodamun and its people. It is the singular entity responsible for the vast majority of all trade into and out of Lodamun. 

Its Chief Executive, known as the Merchant-General, is a cabinet position (appointed by the President) as the Harrington Company assumes the role of Lodamun's principal negotiator in all regional and/or international trade negotiations. As such, it is the final authority on all matters related to trade within Lodamun proper. 

In addition to this, the Harrington Company forms the defacto Merchant Navy of the Commonwealth of Lodamun. The Harrington Company is the largest shipping entity in Lodamun and is responsible for around 70-80% of all trade container traffic into and out of Lodamun. It maintains an ever-expanding fleet of container ships, bulk carriers, LNG carriers, etc.

In recognition of the ongoing incident involving a tanker in the vicinity of Vascania, the Chief Factor of the Harrington Company has ordered that Harrington Company vessels and/or ships carrying the flag of the Harrington Company traverse the area under the protection of the Maritime Security Unit (MSU) or avoid troubled routes entirely. The Harrington Company has long maintained an eye on the state of piracy in the waters surrounding Vascania and Rapa Pile. Thus, it created the MSU almost a century prior for this specific reason. It ought to be reiterated that the Harrington Company maintains a no-contact policy with pirates, privateers and other seaborne trouble-makers, meaning that it will not negotiate with hostage/ransom takers.

The Harrington Company, in accordance with directives from the Lodamese Government herein, makes the following sanctions announcement against the Kundrati Union (and its successor states) and the United Republic of Likatonia (and its successor states):

Be it hereby ordered that Likatonia and Kundrati Shall be embargoed throughout the Anantonese Empire, from this day until a resolution satisfactory to all three constituent Nations of the Anantonese Empire is reached with Likatonia and Kundrati.

Be it Hereby ordered that No Commercial Ship bearing either Likatonian or Kundrati Colors shall sail unmolested through the Anatntonese Ocean. All ships attempting to enter through the Strait of Karzon will be stopped and turned back. If they refuse to stop, they will be fired upon, with the aim of disabling the ship. Should these ships be disabled, they will be towed to the nearest Imperial Port where they will be impounded, along with all their goods, while their crew will be deported back to their home nation. Any ship found to have run the Karzon Strait and to be found within the Anantonese shall be immediately impounded, along with all their cargo at the nearest Imperial Port.

Be it so Ordered that no ship bearing Kundrati or Likatonian Colors shall receive safe harbour at any Imperial Port in any situation other than impounding or Verifiable Emergency when intervention is necessary to save human life. Running out of fuel does not constitute an emergency.

Be it so ordered that ALL nations' commercial vessels who have had as a port of call any port in Kundrati or Likatonia listed on their manifest will be subject to stop and search at the Karzon Strait. All goods originating in Likatonia or Kundrati will be declared contraband and will be seized. This order holds for friendly nations as well as hostile nations.

Be it so ordered that all overland commerce to and from Likatonia along the Trans Seleyan Railroad shall be halted. Passenger Travel is still permitted to pass through Baltusia, Tukarali or points south.
