Coalition High Command, Fort William, Luthori
Rear Admiral Thomas Steuart-Carmichael stood at the head of the briefing table. Arrayed at the table were the top officers of the Coalition forces; Luthori, Etxea, Kalistan, Dolgava, Davostag, Mordusia and Hutori. The time for planning was past. It was time to move into the present.
He cleared his throat and brought the meeting to order. He was not the highest ranking officer amongst those assembled, but he was the attache from the Hutorian Department of National Defence that had planned the invasion of Kundrati (Hutori had plans to invade everyone and that was too notorious a reputation to avoid) and had adapted this plan for use on a two front war.
"Ladies and Gentlemen, thank you. We are going to get straight to work."
The Hutorian naval officer clicked a button and on the massive screen behind him the battle plans were lit up.
"Operation Lighthouse. We have been perfecting this plan for the past twenty years and like all our battle plans I wished it did not come to this, but this is where we are."
The screen flashed to a full screen of the Kundrati Mainland in red, points lit up all over the nation.
"The first phase of our plan is Lighthouse-I. Elements from the Hutorian and Luthorian Air Forces marshalling from Luthori and Etxea will begin a schemtatic series of strikes across southern Kundrati. These will be targetted at AA emplacements, radar installations, logisitics hubs, fuel depots, airfields and everything else our fighters and bombers can reach. This will happen at the same time as Davostager, Dolgavan and Hutorian air and naval assets begin a massive strike campaign in the north to do the same. More effort and assets have been focused down south. We want the Legion confused as to where we will strike, but to reinforce that we will be invading southern Kundrati. During Lighthouse-I we will be using our subsurface assets to permenantly cripple what is left of the Kundrati Home Fleet; we plan on ensuring that we have total Naval supremacy and air superiority before the first boots hit the ground."
He clicked a button, this time showing southern Kundrati.
"Lighthouse II will be the first phase of our ground invasion. The port city of Keita is our goal. Elements of the Hutorian 7th Airborne Brigade, the Luthorian 1st Imperial Airborne Division, and the Davostager 8th Spezsag Parachute Brigade, will make an airborne landing to capture critical road crossings and towns. After that we land with the first wave; the Hutorian 1st Marine Division, a brigade of the Luthorian Imperial Marines, and the Davostager 289th Coastal Ranger Company. After we have established our beachead, follow up troops from our respective allied nations will flood into the beaches, and capture Keita. Once the port is ours, we have our beachhead. Lighthouse II we expect further follow up troops from the Hutorian III Corps and V Corps, the Davostager 1st Field Army, the Kalistani Expeditionary Legion, the Luthorian Expeditionary Force, the Mordusian Expeditionary Force and of course the Etxean I Corps. Overall command of this intial phase will be falling to former Etxean President Claudius Nero."
He clicked the botton one more time, this time focusing on northern Kundrati.
"Once the Legion is focused on the south, after three weeks we strike the second hammerblow. Under the overall command of General Max Fletcher, the Hutorian 2nd and 4th Marine Divisions, will sprearhead a landing, supported by the 9th Airborne Brigade. Once we have our beachhead, we begin pushing straight in, with follow up forces from the Davostager 2nd and 3rd Field Armies, the Dolgavan Expeditionary Force, and the I and IV Corps of the Hutorian Royal Army. Our objective is the capture of Riecny Brod. Once the northern port city is under our control, we will have established a two front war to begin to squeeze the Legion."
