Leader of Une nouvelle Lourenne Rose-Marie Vasseur wants to become the next High Chancellor of Lourenne

A new political movement has begun in Lourenne with a new political party called Une nouvelle Lourenne. The party has risen to prominence in local elections, especially in major cities such as Eroncourt, St. Andre, Thiers, and other cities. With fresh elections coming soon, this party and its promise of peace and stability in Lourenne as well as throughout the region.

The new political party is not a radical new party in Lourenne, progressive parties have existed for hundreds, now thousands of years. However this party stands out, as it still wants to retain the status quo, of the Canrille Empire, and close collaboration between the other states of the empire, but at the same time, trying to distance Lourenne from her imperialistic past. The leader of the Une nouvelle Lourenne Rose-Marie Vasseur has stated that

"Under a new government, Lourenne's imperialistic past is dead and buried. We must focus inward, to make Lourenne the best place it can be, for everyone here, so that regardless of race, creed, nationality, we all thrive. To better ourselves, we must focus on humanitarianism, green energy and economic and cultural prosperity for everyone in Lourenne. As your next High Chancellor, if I get the chance, I will ensure that Lourenne has a even brighter tomorrow.

Vasseur has also promised a continued ties with Lourenne's allies such as the Anantonese Empire, as well as pursuing close ties with Luthori and the commonwealth, as an effort to bring peace across Terra through alliances, not through military might. Lourenne must thrive in a time where it is not the kingmaker across the globe, something that Vasseur has been pitching to the people of Lourenne for weeks now. With elections around the corner it is clear that the people want change, and they want it quickly.

In coming days, it remains to be seen how Lourenne's elections will play out, but if this new upstart movement is successful, it will certainly shape Lourenne's domestic and foreign policy in a brand new direction, while bringing stability back to Eroncourt once again. It seems the age of governemnt inaction is coming to a sharp end, and Lourenne is awaking from its slumber.

Rose-Marie Vasseur and Une nouvelle Lourenne Sweep to Victory - Pass Expidited Sanctions Against Kundrati and Likatonia

The Progressives have swept to a near unanimous victory. Rose Marie Vasseur has easily become the next High Chancellor of Lourenne, with a sweeping mandate from the people of Lourenne. Most of the National Assembly is in the hands of Une nouvellle Lourenne, with Rose Marie Vassuer spending her first day addressing the Assembly. She wanted to do this as a way of showing how the assembly has the power to bring about change in Lourenne.

In her speech she highlighted the growing authoritarianism across the globe, especially with the inhumane events growing in Kundrati. She called out those that were responsible, and said that "Lourenne needs to be a guiding light to the places where there is no light". She then urged the National Assembly to make haste and pass sanctions against Kundrati and Likatonia, which was expedited and passed by the National Assembly. With Lourenne's economy is clearly still one of the largest in all of Terra

The Une nouvelle Lourenne has been welcomed in the political landscape of Lourenne, as well as geopolitics. For the members of the Canrille Empire, it is clear that they approve of the new stable government in Lourenne, with many behind the scenes talks between Vasseur and the rest of the Empire. As for the Anantonese Empire, Lourenne has retained the status quo, of deep friendship and close ties. Also Lourenne has shown that they are willing to rekindle relationships with Luthori, the commonwealth and states like Mordusia, even with Likatonia courting a Kundrati for the time being.

The Progressives will be planning a new budget in the coming weeks, as well as controlling government spending, especially on Lourenne's military budget as a means to better control the nations budget. Their progressive agenda is in its infancy, but it will certainly be interesting to see how they continue governance in the future, as well as react to the dynamic changing landscape of politics in Terra.
