Alex & Tina To Represent Dundorf at FOMAT

Oberegg, Dunlake - The young duo composed by Alex & Tina (also their stage name) will be representing our country at the next edition of the FOMAT to be held in Fort William, Luthori. This was the decision of more than 300 attendees of the Oberegg Musikfestival who listened to 25 contestants each with an original song and then proceeded to rank the best using the ranked-choice vote system. After five days of music, yesterday Alex and Tina won the contest by narrowly beating the runner-up, music veteran Die Falcon, who represented Dundorf last time in Istalia.

Alex and Tina are two university students from Sudschloss, in Grozvic, who started this duo just two years ago, and rise to fame thanks to their popularity on social networking sites. Alex is a cellist, and had a classical music education for most of his life, now he plays the electric cello with more modern songs; Tina is a singer who is finishing her music studies at the University of Nordenhaus - which has an excellent music department. DEFENCE IN CONTACT WITH EXTEA COUNTERPARTS

Defence Ministry, June 16, 5636: ODERVELD – LEUCHTFEUER sources in the Defence Ministry have learned that Oberkommando Luftwaffe (OKL) personnel are working with their counterparts in Extea on plans to facilitate sending the Soteria missile defense system components to Extea. This action was ordered by Defence Minister Maximillian von Kluge at the direction of the Government of Bundesrepublik Dundorf after consultation with allies.
 
During the period when the Humanitarian Alliance with Royaume Uni de Lourenne was the most important international connection of the Bundesrepublik, Soteria all round aerial defense system technology and military satellite surveillance and guidance technology was transferred to OKL together with training therein.  This was part of the beneficial economic and military interaction of Royaume Uni de Lourenne and the Bundesrepublik which continued with advent of the Union of Canrille.
 
ODERVELD – LEUCHTFEUER sources in the Defence Ministry also indicate our military satellite system will shortly be enhanced by better optics, guidance capability, altitude options, weather  resistance and satellite link security in replacement units.

OKL LAUNCHING ENHANCED SATELLITES
 
Defence Ministry, December 16, 5636: The Defence Ministry is replacing its military satellites. Oberkommando Bundeswehr (OKB)’s Ableitung II has making arrangements with Donnerluft which builds the satellites and Gebirgsmunition (GBM) that makes the launch missiles and Oberolmmando Luftwaffe (OKL) that handles the launch for new enhanced satellites to be sent to replace our existing military reconnaissance satellites which have been in service for some time.
 
GBM also provides the missiles for the OKL’s Soteria Aerial Defense System while Fuchstal Elektrisch provides the rocket launcher vehicles.
 
It is expected the entire replacement process will be completed within a year including calibration and coordination with all dependent systems and will then provide, inter alia, considerably better precision guidance to our Soteria Aerial Defense System through the satellite link to the ground segment communicating with the command and control vehicle for operating the data link terminal, weapons control computer, and the ultra high frequency communications link.
 
The new satellites are called Pteradon, a heavier version of the Pteradactyl, and carry a very high resolution visible and thermal infrared optical instrument with 35 cm resolution. There is also a new customized user ground segment that can distribute images and information from the optical instrumentation of the satellite to other systems including fire control units of the Soteria Aerial Defense system thereby making possible more precise targeting guidance..
 
The Pteradons will operate at various altitudes up to 800 kilometers.

Thaller Party Disbands Months Before Election

Dunburg - The leader of the Thaller Party, Herr Frederick von Thaller-Rothes, has announced during a press conference called in the porch of his mansion that he is resigning as party leader and that in the following weeks, the Party will officially cease to exist after only ten years in activity. The announcement was unexpected by everyone, and it comes only a few months before the scheduled September election, and someone is already wondering if this announcement will change the balance of Dundorfian politics. The reason the party disbanded wasn't told in the press conference, but rumors say that the leadership became more and more frustrated with the poor results they've been getting, which caused them to get not enough members of the Bundestag (15) to form a parliamentary group and thus to receive public funding. The open question to which we will recieve an answer in the following weeks and months is if this little electorate, roughly 4%, will find a home in other parties like NDZP and the JSU, and how many of these voters, who chose the Thaller Party becuase it is anti-establishment, will no longer partecipate at the elections.

Dunburg - After three terms, Chancellor Valentina Leesdorf's DSDP has lost the position of largest party and will lose about 15 members of the Bundestag according to our estimates done in cooperation with WahlAnalysisDun, the University of Nordenhaus' own political science center. Erica Kleinfelder led her party to success, managing to flip some voters from the DSDP, TLD and especially the disbanded Thaller Party, touching almost 30% of the votes and gaining about 11 new members. In general, it looks like every party composing the incumbent coalition of government will lose votes or will remain stagnant: TLD will remain largely stagnant, while its leader had hopes of growing more, while the Greens are on track to lose some members of Bundestag and the democratic-socialist DRF is looking dangerously close to them, only a few decimals behind, these years of opposition as the sole leftist political party seems to have paid off the Front. 
President Friedrich Alvensleben hasn't yet spoken about the exit polls, but a statement is expected shortly, together with a call to Ms. Kleinfelder - inviting her to Karlottenberg Palace as the victor of this last federal election, and probable next Kanzlerin; on the other side, outgoing Chancellor Leesdorf confirmed that this night was "disappointing" for the DSDP and that she would resign as the Secretary of the Party later this year.

PRESIDENT ASKS NDZP TO FORM GOVERNING COALITION
 
Presidential March 16, 5637: In view of NDZP carrying a few more seats than DSDP in the latest elections to the Bundestag, Bundesprasident Friedrich Alvensleben has asked NDZP’s Leader, Erica Kleinfelder, to form a governing coalition.
 
Kleinfelder has asked DSDP and TLD to join with NDZP to form a government.  TLD has agreed asking that Maximillian von Kluge continue as Defense Minister.
 
DSDP may agree taking the Foreign and Finance Ministries offered, but since Kanzlerin Leesburg has other options, ODERVELD – LEUCHTFEUER is awaiting developments.

Bundestag, April 15, 5627: NDZP Bundestag Floor Leader Erica Kleinfelder will be the next Kanzerin succeeding Kanzerin Leesburg. She announced today agreement had been reached with DSDP and TLD to form a governing coalition with NDZP which won the most seats in the last election.
 
Under the coalition arrangement, DSDP will fill the offices of Foreign Minister and Finance Minister while TLD’s Max von Kluge will continue as Defence Minister.  Former Bundesprasident Rudolph Kaltenbtrunner will serve as Interior Minister.
 
Kleinfelder thanked those who had made this opportunity possible and promised to serve all the Dundorfische Sovereign People.

OKL TAKING SOTERIA CAPACITY TO EXTEA
 
Defence Ministry, April 16, 5637: Defence Minister Maximillian von Kluge made the following announcement:
 

Oberkommando Luftwaffe (OKL) will begin delivering the Soteria Aerial Defense System to Etxea. Once fully operational, Soteria will be able to stop almost all aerial attacks.  There are those who created the system who suggest all could be stopped.  That is certainly true but one might consider that there is a lot of difference between stopping three curious drones looking for a target and reacting to 777 missiles unleashed in a short time frame. But when fully operational, almost all will be stopped.
 
The basic plan is for our Truppenwegger 310’s, our mainstay aerial transports, to carry the vehicles and equipment to Etxea heavily escorted by our HF- 16’s. There could well be some casualties from interception.  Dundorfische Hoch Logistik (DHL) and Donnerluft are ramping up to replace casualties so we can maintain our complement of mainstay aerial transports and multipurpose fighter bombers.
 
Given ideal circumstances, delivering everything necessary could be done in three or four months. But some of the vehicles and missiles and supporting equipment is still being produced. Vehicles by Fuchstal Elektrisch and missiles by Gebirgsmunition.  So considering interceptions in delivery and enemy disruptions of deployment, eleven to fourteen months is a reasonable timeline.
 
Soteria Batteries have four missile launcher vehicles and a command and fire control vehicle. Once enough batteries are deployed, the Pteradon ground segment will be assembled which has a spacelink to the satellites and a communications link to deployed batteries which will greatly enhance  the targeting guidance employed by the command and fire control unit to the missiles.
 
There are three types of these vertical launch missiles used. The A 15 and A 30 missiles are used for short and medium range aerial defense against combat aircraft, unmanned aerial vehicles, helicopters, cruise missiles, anti radiation missiles and even supersonic sea level anti ship missiles. The difference between the two is the amount of fuel used to attain different altitude levels.
 
The A 30 B missile is designed to also counter intercontinental ballistic missiles.
 
The Soteria Aerial Defense System can also be deployed on combat naval vessels, but that is not part of this operation.

OKL SENDING HF - 16 MULTIROLE AIRCRAFT TO ETXEA

Defence Ministry, November 16, 5637: The Defence Ministry announced that Oberkommando Bundestag’s Ableitung II  has arranged for Donnerluft to be producing HF-16 multirole fighter bombers for use by  the Etxean Armed Forces. Deliveries of about 20 per month will begin next month and continue during the course of its current hostilities.
 
Oberkommando Luftwaffe (OKL) will train Etxean military personnel as pilots and servicing personnel in its OKL training facilities in the Bundesrepublik.  OKL is currently training the Etxean military in operation and maintenance of the Soteria Aerial Dense System and the Pteradon Ground User Segment handling the spacelink with the Pteradon Satellites of the Bundesrepublik.

Oberegg, Dunlake - The Party Congress of the DSDP has ended today with the election of Jörg Berger, a Bundestag member representing Oderveld, and the youngest ever secretary of the party, he turned 34 just last month. The race for secretary was to succeed the retiring Valentine Leesdorf, former Chancellor and current Foreign Minister in the Kleinfelder government; and was contested by several people: the Minister-President for Grozvic, Mrs. Anna Frostenburg, the former Speaker of the Bundestag, Mr. Hans Friedrich Paulsen and Narik Minority Activist Ms. Paula Van Cleef (other than Mr. Berger himself). Berger, after his victory in the second round against Minister-President Frostenburg, has now a big duty ahead of him: lead the party, who suffered a loss of votes four years ago, to victory in the next September election. The current opinion polls says that the two big parties, DSDP and NDZP, are tied and both lost votes respectively to their smaller counterparts: the surveys in the past months indicated a growing trend for the DRF, the democratic-socialist party to DSDP's left, and for the TLD, a centrist liberal party who is eroding some NDZP support. Now, the situation seems stable, but experts and pundits warn that the election campaign "can change everything".
