Well, simply put, within our Sphere, there are several Monarchies. With the exception of Kizenia, who recently had a coup against their Monarchy, Keris is nominally all monarchies. Egelion is certainly the most formally a monarchy, while my government would argue that Trigunia/Nadiya is only nominally a monarchy. They supposedly have a Tsarina who they are comfortable placing under house arrest and mocking with elections. She is married to the King of Egelion, but when Nadiya insulted Egelion by placing their consort under house, Egelion didn't really respond as forcefully as Kalistan would have: they sort of let it go. Dolgava is still a monarchy.

In Seleya, I believe Kalistan, Gaduridos and Mordusia are the last monarchies. Kalistan obviously has an absolute monarchy, while Gaduridos' is nominally a monarchy where the Emperor and Empress are their heads of state but they are formally represented by the Viceroy, Marquess Anantonia Alvarez-Urquizo, and Mordusia's King is the Emperor in Luthori. Both Mordusia and Gaduridos therefore have a limited, and I suppose you could say a constitutional monarchy.

And Lourenne remains a monarchy, though it is being governed by the decayed Vassar Orleans house now I suppose. I believe the nation's treasures have been looted by Egelion, and I believe the throne now sits completely vacant, with the house having gone extinct.. I believe Baeguk's last remnants of their monarchy live in exile on an island off shore while a authoritarian junta govern the mainland.

I believe that is all. Kalistan and Egelion remain the only vital monarchies along the Anantonese Ocean, unless you count Mordusia, but their monarch resides in Ft. William.

Thank you for the summary. Currently Majatra seems to be filled with rather vibrant monarchies, but we see looming threats on their status as several nations are not on good footing with one another. We believe that is is important for us remaining CROWN nations to band together and formulate a plan on how to actively preserve monarchies and their traditions. One way to do this, is to set up a new organ of the CROWN, responsible for providing financial and cultural aid to nations that have their royal traditions under threat. Does Kalistan see merit in such a proposal?

We would normally be on board with doing what we need to do to ensure that Monarchies survive the threat of creeping republicanism, or worse. However, Kalistan has noticed a distinct unwillingness from even a lot of monarchies to push back against the pernicious encroachment of liberalism in their nations. For example, Istalia, which nominally declares itself to be an Empire, with a hereditary monarchy, referred to itself explicitly as a democracy, which jealously protects its freedom of the press, which so happens to print the government line, allowing the Government to express an opinion, but not have to get blamed for it.

Meanwhile Trigunia, nominally a tsarist state, feels completely at liberty to jail its nominal, figurehead of a Tsarina, who also happens to be the Consort of the King of Egelion. They do so with impunity, and if we can take their press at their word, the Tsarina took some sort of sick pleasure at being forcibly incarcerated by the State, so much so that it didn't really seem all that forgeable at all. And what does Egelion do? Leaves it as a personal matter, sends the king directly, not to actually do anything to Trigunia for locking up the Egelion Consort for what was actually a very long time, but to get into a personal argument and leave when the poor girl, who much have suffered from significant psychological stress, supposedly, if the Trigunian papers are to be believed, chose to remain under house arrest because Trigunian law, such as it is, is just. A sitting Tsarina is quoted as saying she is no more important in any manner or fashion than the lowest street urchin.

It really undermines the credibility of monarchism when these people regularly embrace the very guillotine which will soon be used by the mob to remove their heads. So I believe Their Imperial Majesties are not sure about the efficacy of spending resources to prop up nominal Monarchs who would rather willingly go to the hangman than ever say a word against republicanism. That behavior is a shameful disgrace, and it really harms the credibility for monarchy in general. Why would we defend those nations which call themselves monarchies, but incessantly and nauseatingly criticize other monarchies for being monarchies?
