The war might have made headlines, but the opening shots, as was Hutorian tradition weren't loud; until they were.

Early in the morning of March 3rd, 5637, aircraft took off from airfields Davostag's southern island, from across Etxea. These were joined by additional aircraft from the Royal Navy's Aircraft Carriers, which sent up flocks of fighters, fighter bombers and support aircraft.

As the air armada was gathered, all over the line, RHN vessels in the south and the north, joined by Allied warships, let loose with volleys of cruise missiles. This opening salvo targeted Radar, Early Detection, Air Traffic and Command and Control points across the country. 

This massive barrage of missiles, intended to blind the Legion's eyes in the sky, was followed by the twin Air Forces that made their way forward.

In the south, spearheaded by the HF-35D Super Blizzards of the 1st and 5th Fighter Wings from Extea, and HF-35F Super Hailstorms from the Bill O'Reilly and Queen Sarah VI, the venerable Hutorian multi role stealth fighters, considered amongst the best in the world, pierced the holes in the Kundrati air screen, and began ruthlessly hunting any aircraft in the sky. At the same time, HF-19 Twister ECR and HF-13AS Griffin fighter bombers, targeted other vulnerable sites; now blind AA and SAM sites, Aircraft that hadn't reached the air, fuel depots  and other that could possible deny the Coalition air forces total air supremacy.

This was repeated in the far north, by the elements of the 2nd and 3rd Fighter Wings, the strike aircraft of the Patrick Grant and Queen Victoria Carrier Battlegroups and the stealth bombers of the 6th Bomber Wings, from whom two Squadrons were marinading in the south as well.

This was Operation Lighthouse. This was the beginning of the war.

April 1st, 5637

Operation Lighthouse II

The Coalition has spent a couple of weeks plastering Kundrati with missile and airstrikes. Every target that could be imagined had been hit; airfields, Radar, Command and Control, Logistics Hub, army marshaling points, AA, bunkers are critical points.

This is not to say the Legion went quietly; the 20th and 22nd Wings respectfully were some of the Legion's best, and fought as well as they could, inflicting losses on the Coalition's air forces, but Allied command knew they had more number, superior tech, and bluntly, could afford any losses that went down.

The targets that has been chosen had been carefully chosen for two purposes; to strategically cripple the Legions ability to respond to Coalition air movements, and to throw them off balance on where the true strike would occur. While strikes continued across northern Kundrati, near the Endralon and Irkadon border, and around the critical port city of Pocoho, the real hammerblow was landing.

Around the port city of Ketia, under the shadow of a ruthless coalition naval and air bombardment, the Davoatager 8th Parachute Brigade, the Hutorian 7th Airborne Brigade and both Brigades of the Luthorian 1st Imperial Airborne Division. They pinched the city arteries, closing it off from the outside world, and dug in for a protracted conflict, controlling key crossroads, and junctions.

Then came the Marines.


At locations along the coast near Ketia, landed the Hutorian 1st and 3rd Marine Division, the Davostager 289 Coastal Rangers, and the Luthorian 2nd Imperial Marine Division. The ruthless solders began the methodical process of securing their beach head, capturing the key port town, and being ready to bring in the full Allied force.

This was Lighthouse II.

Coalition Forces Lands in Southern Kundrati - Departement of Defence Secret Paper.

The Department of Defence released a little briefing in the recent continuation of the Kundrati War.

The Imperial Defence Staff and the Supreme Coalition High Command confirmed the recent news in Kundrati.

- Luthorian, Hutorian and Davostag forces landed in Southern Kundrati, establishing a beachhead in the South, close to the City of Keita, thanks to an effective bombing campaign from Luthorian and Hutorian Air Forces, the brave coalition forces were able to establish a beachhead in the region. They were soon joined by the forces from other allied nations, such as Kalistan, Free Kundrati, Mordusia and Dolgava.

- Coalition forces are currently fighting against incoming Kundrati forces that have come to the area in order to throw these forces back into the Sea. Coalition (Luthori & Hutori) air forces are currently slowing their arrival to the coast, continuously bombing the forces on their way to the frontline.

- Luthorian and Coalition paratroopers have been relieved by advancing elements of the Hutorian 1st Armoured Division and the Luthorian 3rd 'Flaming' Armoured Division, enjoying few resistance in their move from Kundrati forces bogged down by the Air Forces.

Battle of Ketia - April 5637 (Backdated)

Coalition war planners had known that Ketia was the key to the entire conflict. It was Kundrati's southern port city, and the shortest supply junction between Etxea across the channel, and the mainland. Coalition war planners knew it; so did the Legion's High Command. No less then three Legion Divisions had fortified the city to a fair thee well, and it was the job of the Coalitions Marine to dig them out, street by painful street, after they secured the landing beaches.

Those beaches, codenamed Cobalt, Ivory, Crimson and Obsidian were tackled by the Hutorian 1st Marine Division, 3rd Marine Division, 1st Luthorian Imperial Marine Division and Davostager 289th Coastal Ranger Brigade respectfully, in addition to Teal beach being tackled by the Etxean I Expeditionary Corps. These beaches had, like the town, been heavily fortified, but the hardened troops of the Coalition had the direct assistance of the marauding air forces, straight from Etxea and the four allied Aircraft Carriers off the coast. Close run fighter bombers, and the weeks of softening by allied airpower, had broken down the beach defences significantly which eased the approach the Marines. Obisian and Ivory beaches were to the west, while Crimson, Cobalt and Teal were to the east. 

The advance elements of the 1st Hutorian and 2nd Marine Expeditionary Regiment push aggressive north and west, forming a hardened perimeter around the beach, while the 3rd Marine Expeditionary Regiment, and the Davostager Coastal Rangers push hard into the town from the west. The process was repeated on the east, with the Luthorians holding the perimeter, while the 3rd Hutorian Marine Division, crashed into the town from the east and north. Naval artillery and airstrikes, collapsed most of Ketia, and block by brutal block, the Marines performed a harsh clearing the city, eventually forcing the Kundrati defenders to fold.

The Kundrati defenders, held off hoping for relief from the north, but commanders in the city had been made aware that Hutorian, Luthorian and Davostager Airborne forces had already secured the north of the city and were holding off any relief in addition to the distraction of Teal Beach to the far east which further diluted the Legion counter offensive. After two weeks of brutal fighting, the final Kundrati defenders finally surrendered.

Operation Holy Fury (Legion) & Operation Firebreak (Coalition) - April 5637 (Backdated)
While the Battle of Ketia raged, the Legion had not been asleep at the switch. They did not want the Coalition gaining access to one of the most important ports in the south, and it was the opinion of the Legion Army High Command if the Coalition could be shoved directly back into the sea, they could be forced to the peace table and the Legion's reign over Kundrati would be forced to be accepted as a fait d'accomplai. To that regard, the Legion gathered a massive counter offensive, under the codenamed Operation Holy Fury. Consisting of three tank divisions, the 2nd, 7th and 21st and the full might of the 1st Infantry Shock Army, some 160,000 combat troops and 350 tanks. The general commanding, General Vladan Komárek, assumed he would be able to sweep through, push across the airborne and relieve the Legion's defenders.

The Coalition Commanders, had been expecting this, and had been watching the skies like a hawk; moving a massive formation like this without notice was not only difficult, but nearly impossible, and allied air patrols saw the approaching armor and infantry long in advance. Coalition fighter bombers, performing strafing runs on the advance tanks of the column, slowing them down and causing mayhem throughout their armored fist. It was assumed by the Coalition's air commander in the south, Brigadier General Alexander Steuart-Carmichael, the Hutorian Crown Prince, that the Air Force wouldn't stop, the approaching Legion army. Stopping it had never been the intention, merely mauling it and slowing it down.

Kundrati tanks were wrecked on the roads, slowing the advance by hours and days, buying precious time for the Airborne formations surrounding Ketia to dig in and prepare. When the Kundrati hammerblows finally began to hit, the first elements hit, the 19th Parachute Infantry Regiment, of Hutori's 7th Airborne Brigade, mauled the initial Kundrati infantry advance, throwing Legion commanders, not beliving the Coalition could be as prepared as they were, nor were they had tough as they were. The offensive was further bogged down when Coalition intelligence made sure General Komarek knew that Teal Beach was threatening to break out and threat Jildrath province. Detachments were pulled off the main advance, in attempt to both flank the dug in Airborne troops, but also strike all five invasion beaches that they could. The diluation of the offensive, and the coalition preparations were enough to further hold up the Legion's counter offensive.

The Coalition had also been preparing for their own counter stroke. With the invasion beaches more or less pacified, the Coalition forces began arriving en masse, and the first units off the beach were the Hutorian 1st Armoured Division and the Luthorian 3rd "Burning" Armoured Division. Both struck north from their respective beaches, Ivory and Crimson, and punched through north, crashing through Legion defences that had been focused on containing Ketia and encircling the Airborne troops. After three days, the advance elements of Hutorian Leopard 2H7Es and Luthorian Challenger 2, broke through and relieved the airborne forces, backing up the Airborne forces with heavy armor and infantry, and stopping the Kundrati forces cold.

Out of desperation, Legion forces lobbed mustard and sarin gas shells directly at the dug in airborne and arriving coalition forces. The Coalition, having been warned in advance by intelligence of the possibility, got hurt by the chemical and biological weapons attack, but were unable to ultimately lodge them. Despite moderate casualities to the dug in Coalition forces, they were ultimately unable to break.

General Komarek had been preparing for another offensive when the unthinkable occured; he was told to hold off after Legion High Command got the worst news of the month; Hutori and Davostag had successfully landed in northern Kundrati, and forces would be needed to dig in or head north. The chance for the Legion to end the conflict here in the beaches of the south were over.

Operation Lighthouse III - May 5637 [Backdated]

With the Coalition forces having spent a month hammering in the south, and attempting to punch out of the Ketia pocket, and keeping the Legion forced on the south to contain them, Coalition war planners had been preparing for their opening a second front. The formula was simple and was used in the exact same method; the Hutorian 9th Airborne Brigade, Woodbury's Helldivers, were landed around Reicny Broc, before the Hutorian 2nd and 4th Marine Divisions were landed on Gold and Scarlet beaches to complete the surrounding and storming of the city.

The Legion, while they had prepare to defend both coasts, did not have even the remote same level resistance and preparation that had been put in the south. The north also had the full combined might of the Hutorian 1st and 4th Fleet, anchored by the Queen Victoria and Patrick Grant Carrier Battlegroup, and the full might of the Davostager Fleet, to say nothing of the constant air power being pulled in from Dovmark. The allied air and naval blitz, had crippled the Kundrati Legion's Navy, that had so expensively been repaired and rebuilt, not having a chance to sortie out and challenge the Coalition's naval power. The same process was repeated, where Hutorian Marines captured the port facilities of the north city, and once secure, Coalition forces poured in; two full Davostager Field Armies, the 2nd and 3rd, and Hutori's IV and V Corps. 

The Hutorians and Davostagers in the north spend two weeks fortifying their positions and awaiting for the coming Kundrati counter offensive.. but by that point, it would be far too late.

State of the Conflict - June 5637 [Backdated]

Entering into the middle of June, Coalition forces have successfully landed on both coasts of Kundrati and have rapidly moved to expand and fortify their beachheads. Coalition forces have moved en masse into the gaps of both and the current Order of Battle for both the Southern and North Fronts are as follows:
