Recently, due to changes in the layout to the forum, I have had issues where I am trying to edit my posts, and the forum instead opens the window to make it a quote reply. I never want to do that: I am just trying to correct a spelling error. but it Posts it as a quote reply instead, because when I think I am hitting "Fully Edit" for some reason I accidently click "Reply" instead, or it reads reply or something, and I don't read the whole post to ensure that its not a quote reply.
The result is a post I have to then full edit to say "Ignore" because I don't have the power to delete it.
I asked Greek about this multiple times. He told me it was a community decision and he's not just going to add the delete button back, and that to get it, I have to ask the community to make a decision on this. And he is growing annoyed with repeatedly telling me he's only gonna change it if there is demand from the rest of the community, my own repeated requests notwithstanding.
So I guess I should ask: Is there any demand from the community to restore the Delete Post tick box and the ability of individuals to delete their own posts which they clearly never intended to publish in the first place? If so, how do we vote or whatever we need to do to let Greek toggle the ability for players to delete their own posts which they did not mean to post?
The alternative is to hound the mods everytime this happens, which as this point, from my experience over the last few days, is gonna be pretty often.
I've already had to ask MBites to delete one post, and there are since then, this last week, 3 additional posts on Kalistan's forum where I have had to cut the misposts and replace it with Ignore. If this absolutely must be a community decision because it isn't going to happen without the entire community weighing in, please do so one way or another.
