03:21, August 5688, Bannerhafen, Presidential Palace
Quote:Schuhbeck looked out of the window in one of the President’s countless office options the Palace has to offer. She was contemplating the past few years, her second term as the President of her hated Triad, she despised every minute of it, the feeling of having to deal with the savage political reality of the most capitalist nation on Terra. “I’ve been doing it for the greater good though.” She thought to herself.
After quite a few more minutes her trusted advisor and DRP vice-chairman Franziska Hüttel cautiously approached her. “Shalom Frau Präsidentin.”
Schuhbeck acknowledged her presence with a affirming nod and gestured for her to continue.
“As you might be able to see, the Darnussian Chancellor has the guards posted outside and the news about your true identity are sure to break sooner rather than later.”
Back in the mind of the President, she was thinking to herself how the political elite outside her small circle of co-conspirators would deal with the coming situation when Hüttel shook her back to reality.
“This means we have to go. Now.”
“Alright then, show me this tunnel those filthy Thallers built. It’s time to go home.”
Hüttel nodded and took the hand of the President to navigate her through the maze that was the Bannerhafen Presidential Palace. The movie-industry would be proud of the cliché that was about to realize, in a wing of the library one inconspicuous book was the key to fleeing this place. Once Hüttel moved it at exactly the right timing the bookcase revealed a way deep into the underground.
“You know I cant follow you, someone has to keep this roose going as long as possible.”
“Thank you. Thank you for everything Franziska.”
“It was for the good of the Holy Land, we tried, history will prove us right."
“Tov yoter lehoulam.”
“Tov yoter lehoulam.”
And so President Schuhbeck became Anne-Marie Kadiyot and headed back to Yishelem.
