Bassam al-Hajabk (SoK), the Minister of Finance, announced that the Golden Crescent Bank and the Khushal Bank of the South have announced intentions to develop several new branches throughout Kafuristan. The two banks, both of which are classified as "Ahmadi banks", and have operated out of Kafuristan and the wider Ahmadi world for centuries, are expanding operations. The banks announced intention to open approximately 40 branches throughout the entire country. The development plan, which was proposed by the Minister of Finance and executives from the bank, is planned to occur over the next 5 years and focus first on more local developments over major urban areas. This move comes as the Kafuri government seeks to continue to modernize and digitize everyday Kafuri life and these banks, which generally have a favorable view by Kafuri's, are a major component in bringing localized banking to less urbanized areas of Kafuristan.
This move comes on the heels of a series of high-level meetings between Kafuri and Badaran officials expanding trade and economic ties. The Finance Minister, the Minister of Trade and Industry Muthanna al-Halayji as well as dozens of Kafuri business officials have been attending meetings throughout the past several weeks. It is likely in the incoming weeks that the governments in Bier Qassem and Kasraj will announce a new free trade agreement and cooperation in maritime security in the strait between Kafuristan and Badara, notably aimed at ensuring trade between the two nations is both free and fair.
