Fukkyu Party and Qiao Jiang win decisively the 5610 general elections, formation of the Federal Gaoic Republic of Midway and start of the GCA proclaimed : a goaic dream?
Watashina, Midway. In an outcome that has shocked nobody, the Fukkyu party of Midway with the collaboration of the CWMAM and ASPNSI have won the 5610 general elections with a landslide as they secured 96% of the votes which makes them the sole party allowed in parliament because all other parties automatically failed to reach the 5% threshold not only that but many of the former parties that used to exist before the floral revolution saw their membership dwindle until they all officially announced their dissolution. In addition, the formation of the Midway branch of the Fukkyu party and its victory have made it clear the people's wish for the formation of a unified goaic Republic that will unite the region under the beliefs of unity, class collaboration, and freedom. When it comes to the presidential election, Qiao Jiang secured the votes of 93% of the population in the first round, making her the first president to ever achieve this in the history of Midway, her opponent was the leader of now defunct People's Power Party who barely managed to get support from his own party before the election. What shocked many within the international community was the fact that the non Gaoic 7 ethnicities voted overwhelmingly in favor of Qiao even tho she ran a pangaoic campaign promising to wipe off the Luthorian language from Midway in favor of Kattakana.
Shortly after the officiallization of the results by the supreme court, Qiao Jiang held during her inauguration a speech in front of an ecstatic crowd in which she declared the official dissolution of the Republic of Midway instead replaced by the Federal Gaoic Republic of Midway alongside declaring the members of her government which is surprisingly female dominated with the first female premier in Midway's history, not only but she also announced the start of the Great Cultural Awakening, a massive campaign aimed at erasing Luthorian from Midway, she then urged her supporters to burn everything and anything related to the Luthorian language in addition to the threat that the new government will "punish" anyone who refuses speaking Kattakana instead of Luthorian. Immediately following the speech, thousands of books have started being burned to then be replaced by Kattakana translated books alongside the taking down of all Luthorian words from government and private buildings even within the canal itself.
