In the Shadow of Conflict: Hobrazia condemns Lodamun's reckless actions

The Hobrazian government have issued a statement today addressing an unfolding crisis in southern Artania, it comes after news that Lodamun would be sending an Expeditionary fleet to Malivia and the Migrants pass, in response Narikaton and Darnussia has issued a warning of military retaliation. Hobrazias foreign minister Eli Nikoladze held a press conference today to issue a statement,

We call on all sides to step back from the brink, let us choose peace and dialogue over conflict and war. This government strongly condemns Lodamun sending a fleet to Malivia and calls for them to explain their reckless, hostile actions and to withdraw their forces. I will remind all nations that war serves no one but to beget more suffering. We must choose to take the path of peace. President Meliton has been briefed on the situtation and we will continue to keep you updated. The president has ordered for thousands more troops to be deployed to reinforce our southern Border with Malivia, we will continue to monitor the situation but we will remind all parties that whilst we do not seek war, no threat whether direct or indirect to Hobrazias national security will go unanswered and we will not hesitate to defend our interests.

Asked if Hobrazia would join any "military retaliation" Eli was unequivocal in his statement.

No, we have made that very clear to our partners in the region that we will continue to push for dialogue.

It is hoped by the government that all nations in the face of escalating tensions will heed this call to de-escalate and choose peace. Eli is now facing what can only be described as a very turbulent start to his tenure in the foreign office.
