Office of the Secretary-General, People's Council, Wiel, Jelbic People's Soviet Republic of Wrnuke, 20 November 5667, 15:21
Jarg Hukrskez'lkjo sat at his desk in the Secretary-General's office, two months earlier he had been promoted to the position of personal assistant to the most powerful person in the WJZR. Not the most glorious position, he had been a senior diplomat before this and even spoke at the Yeudi Conclave on behalf of the WJZR. Though thinking back on that day made him nervous, when those other Jelbics with posh accents and fancy suits cornered him. Best not think too long about that-- The phone buzzed in his pocket and he rushed to his pocket to pick it up. "Hukrskez'lkjo speaking." A familiar voice that filled him with dread was on the other end. "Hello Jarg, long time no talk. I would like to speak to the Secretary-General--" "You cannot call me here, are you mad? How did you get this number? This is a secret government nu-" "QUIET!" He was taken aback by the sudden outburst. "You have not even an inkling of an idea of how much in danger you are, the same as the Secretary-General and a dozen other people in your office. Hand me to him, now." On the other side of the office he could see Bozujigumo looking at him a tad annoyed with a raised eyebrow. He lunged up and near ran to his desk to hand him the phone. After a few seconds his expression went from annoyed, to worried, to panicked. He handed the phone back to Jarg and pressed the panic button. The Secretary-General stood up and looked at Jarg. "We must go, now."
Plaza of the Bloodless Revolution, outside the People's Council, Wiel, Jelbic People's Soviet Republic of Wrnuke, 20 November 5667, 15:47
Jishák Hukrskez'lkjo was an old man at 72, but still surprisingly fit. His grandfather had been the man at the helm for the founding of the WJZR, the first Secretary-General of the first Worldburnerist nation in the world. His entire career he had spent in service of the WJZR and the party only to see Bozujigumo and his cronies tear it down. Now he and his comraded would put a firm stop to that. He could not help but smile as he saw the dozens of People's Army soldiers marching into the People's Council to arrest the enemies of the state. After a few minutes his radio started buzzing and he let them know he was listening. "Mister Hukrskez'lkjo, no trace of the Secretary-General or your cousin, sir." His grip around the radio tightened as he responded. "Understood, keep searching." How did they get away? The plaza had been surrounded and-- Several jets flew above him, dangerously low. Odd, he did not know they had convinced some of the air forces to join their coup. As he turned to watch the jets fly off he spotted several attack helicopters. Wonderful, they really were gathering an army. Just as he thought that he heard strong engine noises and saw several tanks appear on the opposite side of the plaza. An uncomfortable feeling started to spread throughout his body.
