'Mega contracts' outline future of Armed Forces

Juhn Prnzsrmko, chairman of defence giant Mirztátpylsko, presents three new armoured vehicles.

1 February 5705, Wiel, Kingdom of Wrnuke
For the last year and a half negotiations have been ongoing with all the major players in Wrnuke's defence industry. The Ministry of Defence outlined several ambitions in over a dozen tenders. Priority was given to local firms, but foreign companies were also allowed to bid. Several firms from the Dual Republic chose to jointly apply with local companies to gain the regional preferential treatment, while big players from Amudim relied on the Yeudi-Jelbic treaties to remain involved in the process. The current expansion and upgrade spree is a part of the government initiative to up its defensive capabilities amongst increasing international threats. In anticipation of this development some companies had already independently developed new hardware with private funding. Mirztátpylsko's chairman Juhn Prnzsrmko held a big event with private investors, government officials and a large delegation from the press to present three projects the company had developed together with Zhtál-Jrl-Stórmsr and Wrntec. Mirztátpylsko is a producer of armoured vehicles, most well-known for producing the current iteration of Wrnuke's main battle tank: the Avlamajolépar 2W7. The original company producing these steel behemoths was absorbed by Mirztátpylsko in a large merger in 5685.

At the event the three companies presented their new concepts for the nation's mechanised force. A new main battle tank called the Birswrs 3W8 (Panther), a design similar to the 2W7 but with enhanced crew survivability, drone protection, an active protection system and programmable munitions. This active protection system will be produced by Amudim's Tzafrir Defence Industries, the only foreign element to the joint project. The programmable munitions are a cooperation between Mirztátpylsko and Wrntec. Furthermore, the tank has been fitted with increased optics by Zhtál-Jrl-Stórmsr, who currently produces market-leading optics. The second behemoth in the line up was the Brnfikrjokonbjek 1W5 (Elephant), currently Wrnuke fields the Brnfikrjokonbjek 1W3 as its main self-propelled howitzer. The massive vehicle features an equally staggering 155 mm cannon with the impressive capability to put five shells on one target within a minute. The newest iteration features a new fire control computer developed by Zhtál-Jrl-Stórmsr and Wrntec, as well as a higher quality barrel by Mirztátpylsko after troops complained about barrel wear. The self-loader has also been fully automated, removing the necessity to manually place the propellant on the loading bay. The third vehicle is mostly a concept which has been dubbed the Bzájamomrthotrmojad (Tortoise). This vehicle uses the same basis as the other two and is intended as a heavy personnel carrier. This idea is based on the increasing prevalence of drones in modern combat, giving a higher priority to troop protection in all scenarios. The Bzájamomrthotrmojad is supposed to carry a full squad and features a modular crewless turret with a 30 mm autocannon, it has the option to be fitted with the same active protection system that is present on the Birswrs 3W8. The event was hosted in agreement with the Ministry of Defence, and Minister Jezbéksrmko ceremonially signed a contract offered to him by chairman Prnzsrmko. In the press conference Féodr Jezbéksrmko stated that the MoD intends to modernise its entire fleet of armoured vehicles, this would mean purchasing as many as 1,000 of the new main battle tanks and at least 500 of the self-propelled artillery. The government was not yet willing to release full numbers, citing the information as classified.

As for other contracts, a contract was signed with Jadjohhydwasfabrk Hafndan, known internationally as Shipyard Hafndan, to refurbish several vessels of the nation's surface fleet. This includes both Kezkai V-class aircraft carriers. The aging vessels were introduced upon the formation of the Jelbic Empire and received a small upgrade on behalf of the Worldburnerist regime of the WJZR. Since then, however, the vessels have not been given upgrades. The contract states that one carrier will be drydocked while the other will continue to serve as the flagship. Once one is finished, the other carrier will be given an upgrade. This upgrade has been cited as more of a rebuild by experts, with extensive changes to the layout of the vessel and a full refurbishment of internal electronics and hydraulics. Ship armaments will also be upgraded significantly to have greater protection against seaborn drones. Other drydocks of Jadjohhydwasfabrk Hafndan will be utilised to modernise the many Snba Knstat-frigates. A separate deal was signed with the Dual Republic's Passschiffe AG to take the fleet of nuclear submarines into maintenance. The naval modernisations are expected to take up to ten years. Another two Dual Republic companies called NarikMissile and Janssen und Koch won a new tender to produce a multiple rocket launch system, or MLRS, that will be named Frjarsh (Firestorm). Currently the nation does not deploy such a system, but reports stated that there is a tactical need for them. The design is expected to be modular, so it can be mounted on both tracked vehicles and trucks. The trucks in question will be produced by Pecnék, the nation's largest automobile manufacturer. The new Pecnék XT5705 is a modular truck design capable of meeting all the requirements for both fitting an MLRS, logistics, troop transport, drone deployment, radar deployment, and so forth.

The air forces were not neglected either, with Darnussian Aeronautics Limited (DAL) receiving one of the largest contracts for a foreign company. In total they received three separate assignments, one jointly with Baotaghe Ort to design and produce affordable drones to introduce the possibility of 'suicide drone hordes' in modern Jelbic warfare. DAL will also upgrade the nation's Z-35 fighters, as well as the WH-64 attack helicopters. A contract was also signed with Apertr Sznz and the Yeudi companies Sato and Black Beisa. This particular contract was kept top secret but all three companies are known to be involved in missile and mass destruction development. Minister Jezbéksrmko of Defence did comment in the past on developing "the means to counter hypersonic threats". Whether that means developing more advanced hypersonic ICBM's or reviving the nuclear deterrent program is unknown. The amount paid for the signed contracts has also been deemed as a state secret, but estimates state that the investments done by the government in the defence sector may tick upwards to 250 billion WM, the largest single investment in the Armed Forces in Wrnuke's history.

Successful launch kickstarts Bojuzi Mye program

Onlookers observing the launch of the Jelbic rocket carrying its precious cargo at the Amshinov spaceport.

17 June 5708, Wiel, Kingdom of Wrnuke
At 10 am this morning Minister Wrné Lohn-Ginsl announced the successful launch of Wrnuke's own rocket carrying a new satellite. In 5704 Lohn-Ginsl announced his ambition for a tripartite space pact, a project that both the Dual Republic and Amudim were quick to agree to. With experts from the Narikaton, Darnussia and Amudim the Jelbic scientific team made quick progress. The three nations have a near full transparent working atmosphere when it comes to classified projects. For Wrnuke, this launch was a special moment as it marks the beginning of the new Bojuzi Mye project. Within Jelbic culture and the Tanhrist religion the bojuzi mye is also known by its literal translation as the 'evil eye'. It is an all-seeing malevolent glare often caused by envy or by literal curses from enemies, it is also seen as an extension of Tanhri's own influence in life in the sense that it will follow those that commit evil and immoral deeds and punish them accordingly. The most important facet of the bojuzi mye is that it is omnipresent, even in the current day and age the majority of Jelbics wear the turquoise eye-shaped amulet to ward off misfortune and the prying eyes of gods and spirits. It has, due to its presence in Jelbic culture, also become the name of Wrnuke's new satellite project. Currently the Jelbic kingdom has several ageing satellites in orbit with limited capabilities and the Jezkonz Bunjamín Fahmotorzjkakrna Bahthr Bro (Emperor Bunjamín Space Research Agency), in coordination with the ministries of Defence and Science & Technology, set out the ambition to prepare Wrnuke for the future. The Bojuzi Mye project encompasses launching around six satellites operating in either geosynchronous Terra orbit and in highly elliptical orbit. These space-based infrared systems (SBIRS) will focus on relaying information regarding missile warning, defence, technical intelligence and battlespace characterisation.

But this is not the only job these satellites will have. The satellites are required to be multifunctional, with them functioning as both SBIRS and reconnaissance satellites. The different orbits of the satellites will decide whether they are capable of being multifunctional in this regard. A leaked report stated that four out of the six satellites will be in geosynchronous orbits, and as such can function as the 'evil eye' watching over Terra. In cooperation with scientists from Amudim, specifically the Black Beisa facility, a special catadioptric astrophotographic telescope was developed that will be mounted on several satellites. Further technology stacked on these satellites includes radar imaging, nuclear detonation detection systems, and advanced signals intelligence. The JBFBB, Wrnuke's space agency, has assured that all satellites that will be launched in the next few years have also been fitted with telemetry that can analyse the environment it is in. It is the combined mission of the government and the JBFBB to research space and its many mysteries. "These are not just tools for protecting our nation, they are also tools for exploring that final frontier," said Minister Lohns-Ginsl at the press conference. The Minister wore his bojuzi mye necklace over his suit for the occasion, showing his personal connection to both Jelbic tradition and the new project. The JBFBB is hoping to launch the next satellite in four months.

Old wounds mended as King Temrkai visits Commonwealth

The royal motorcade arriving at Hosbury House with typical Luthorian summer weather.

20 August 5708, Randworth, Commonwealth of Mordusia
For the first time in eight years King Temrkai has visited another nation, his last visit was in 5689 to the city of Yishelem shortly after the liberation of Amudim. This historical visit hallmarked a return to normalcy in north-western Majatra. The ageing monarch swears by his constitutional role and has around three-hundred commitments every year within the Kingdom of Wrnuke, visiting schools, charities, hospitals, military installations, universities, innovative factories and so forth. The royal family has always maintained that state visits are for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the office of Prefect. However, on some occasions the King is willing to break this unofficial protocol. After Luthori signed the Majatran-Artanian Treaty and became an official member of MATO ties between Wrnuke and Luthori have strengthened significantly. What once was a deep animosity is becoming a flourishing friendship. As such, a historic visit was agreed upon by the two royal families that took it upon themselves to represent their nations. The King departed on the 12th of August and has spent the last week visiting Luthori and Mordusia, often called the Commonwealth by Jelbics. The added visit to Mordusia was a personal request from the King, who recently visited a mining company embroiled into a legal battle with regional authorities in the Mordusian nation.

On the early morning the airplane of the Jelbic monarch arrived at Shiperhood Airport where the King was greeted by the Lord Privy Seal and Secretary of State for the Imperial Household, Sir Kyle Johnson. After an initial meeting the motorcade carrying the King and the Lord Privy Seal headed off towards Fort William where the King was brought to Darlington Palace to address the Houses of Parliament. This rare honour has only ever been granted to the Hutorian monarch. King Temrkai addressed the full chambers, speaking on increased cooperation and a complete commitment to peace, democracy, and freedom on the two continents of their great monarchies. "As the dark void grows ever larger across the world it is the pressing task of the free nations to commit with full resolve and no doubt to carrying that bright torch of liberty. That is our duty, honoured representatives, Luthori and Wrnuke are two great democratic monarchies, bound by a sacred constitution and an ever-lasting loyalty to peace. They will try to divide us with poisoned words, lies, and propaganda. But darkness can never be allowed to prosper over that light. So, carry that torch and carry it proudly. We shall be right besides you." The King promised, on behalf of the cabinet, an increased effort in cooperation between the two nations and pledged to personally convince the Prefect of the "good and honest stock" of the Luthorian people. After this session Emperor William XI had arrived in Fort William and the two monarchs met for the first time, with the Emperor inviting the Jelbic King for a formal state dinner at the Orange Palace. The night was spent at this palace as well, with the King complimenting the hospitality from his host the morning after by jokingly remarking that the bed was "most comfortable" to the press waiting on him outside.

After this the motorcade carrying both the Emperor and the King set off towards the rocky hills to the residence of Hosbury House. While the weather looked good in the morning it quickly turned during the car ride up to the vast estate located in the beautiful Luthorian countryside. The rain did not deter either monarch, as they walked into the private residence of the Emperor while a waterfall showered down on them. The next two days the two monarchs discussed many matters together, and the King met the Emperor's family in an informal setting. It is said that the two monarchs bonded over their shared interest in history and historical artefacts. As a gift, to thank the Emperor for his hospitality, King Temrkai brought along a set of Mittworth armour* that once belonged to Emperor Paul III. It is a set from his later years, with the massive breastplate showing how the late medieval Emperor had grown in size throughout his life. The invaluable piece of history was once bought at auction by King Pawl I. The King implored the Emperor to house it in a royal museum for the public to see. As the two monarchs parted ways they were smiles and looked friendly, a sight that was thought unthinkable a few decades prior. To end his tour of Luthori the King travelled to 10 Crown Street to meet the cabinet of the Holy Luthorian Empire. The King has a private meeting with the Prime Minister before there was a more public session with other cabinet ministers. At the end of the meetings and with some extra time for the press the royal motorcade headed back to Shiperhood Airport.

The government airplane then flew the King and his entourage to the Commonwealth of Mordusia. At the airport of Randworth the Prime Minister of Mordusia greeted King Temrkai, before the two travelled to Randworth Palace to meet Governor-General Prince Louis-Ferdinand, a scion of the Orange-Villayn dynasty. At first a private meeting was held as the King discussed the mining dispute that has been straining relations between the two nations. Before the Bloodless Revolution and the establishment of the Jelbic Soviet People's Republic several private Jelbic mining companies had permits and rights within Mordusia. As the WJZR was established Mordusia considered these contracts null and void, but with the return of the monarchy the old companies returned demanding to be allowed to mine in Mordusia. A legal battle occurred and has been ongoing for twenty-five years. The mining giant Beshbrjrzi Trnmn OF has been at the forefront of this legal war, having bought up many of the smaller mining companies that once worked in Mordusia. Their CEO met with the King recently and asked him for help. Both the Prime Minister and Governor-General were sympathetic to the pleas of King Temrkai, though they were also firm on Mordusian independence and reiterated their stance against exploitative contracts. The Prime Minister, after the meeting, announced that both parties would sit down again to find a solution that would "make everyone happy". An idea outlined by the Prime Minister was to potentially renegotiate contracts with smaller grants. The King remarked that "such finer details are for the hard-working public servants".

The King then took some time to meet Mordusian citizens in Randworth Palace, including several athletes preparing for the Olympics. After witnessing a demonstration on volleyball the King looked impressed and joked that he feared for Wrnuke's volleyball team. In the final exchange the King also handed over a gift to the Governor-General from his personal collection: a ceremonial bow constructed from Mordusian blackwood. This acacia is unique to Mordusia and the bow has been dated to the early nineteenth century. As it is a hardwood bow it is useless from a practical point of view but at the time the rare wood was extremely valuable within Wrnuke, its rarity made it a perfect show piece for a H'án's funeral pyre. Why the bow was not burned is unknown, with the King explaining that he felt this valued piece of Jelbic history deserved to come home as the tree that 'made' it was from Mordusia. With all that concluded the King set off on the jet again to, at last, head home back to the Kingdom of Wrnuke. In a press release the royal family has stated that the King was delighted to visit both nations and hopes that Wrnuke, Luthori and Mordusia can maintain a strong friendship for many decades to come.

Bianjie and Wrnuke sign limited economic partnership agreement

Workers in the new ZSME factory in Gemun getting acquainted with the Jelbic photolithography machine.

7 September 5711, Wiel, Kingdom of Wrnuke
Representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Agriculture have presented a new diplomatic accord with the Khanate of Bianjie. The Dovani nation is one of a few listed as a 'brotherly nation' in Wrnuke's foreign affairs list, due to their Jelbo-Tukaric heritage and the fact their head of state is a H'án. Up until recently the Jelbic kingdom and the Dovani khanate have had little relations, but the signing of the recent limited economic partnership agreement has changed that. Due to increasing labour costs the Zamjetnék Smíodíyoz Métral Estifíestinyrkakríjo company, or ZSME (Advanced Semiconductor Materials Lithography), has been searching for trusted foreign nations to establish new production plants in. Global demand for photolithography machines and integrated circuits is high, and the existing factories in Wrnuke cannot match global demand. In previous statements Prefect Pshamazrk was rather critical on using foreign nations to sell these machines to, or to even deploy them: "The production of microprocessors is an incredibly sensitive endeavour, the level of precision that the ZSME machines operate at are hard to match by any competitor, so a certain reserved attitude should always play a part in these negotiations." Ultimately, she relented after she was presented with the Bianjie-Wrnuke agreement.

Under the limited economic partnership agreement the partially state-owned ZSME is allowed to establish two factories within Bianjie. While the management and training staff will be primarily from Wrnuke, all other workers will be recruited amongst the population of Bianjie. One factory has already been set up on a trial basis with limited staff for a test run and ZSME so far has only released positive press releases on the progress of establishing the plant. In turn for using labour forces from Bianjie several agricultural and irrigation experts have been embedded with Bianjie's Ministry for Agriculture. The Khanate hopes to improve its yearly yields and gain more efficiency in crop growth. In Wrnuke the majority of its agriculture is located on the lower marshes, areas that are prone to flooding, or arid steppe that has in the past heavily resisted any attempt at agriculture. The lessons of Wrnuke's past are now applied to Bianjie's ever-growing agricultural industry. A special grant was also approved that enables less affluent farmers from Bianjie to purchase a tractor or other agricultural machines from Wrnuke. The government in Wiel will pay for the majority of these purchases, hoping to further modernise and mechanise farming in the Khanate.

Wiel's Red Dawn: the rise of the left

Lohn-Ginsl during a party rally last year.

20 July 5736

Since the elections of March this year the Red Party, or Aked Prta, has been the undisputed master of Wrnuke's political landscape. Never before, since the implementation of the new constitution, has a party won this big. Under the young and ambitious Genzi Krlysrmko Lohn-Ginsl the party rose from 54 to a staggering 93 seats. The meteoric rise stunned many, but has long been coming according to political scientists. Several of them have previously reported on the "Red Creep" that was happening within the Kingdom. In this issue Grak Sháhazi will commit to a deep dive in the crevices of Wiel to describe the rise of Wrnuke's newest Prefect.

According to Hemze Wrntukaisrmko Vrn, professor in political sciences at the University of Wiel, the rise of the Red Party can first be observed during the 5698 elections over thirty years ago. This is where the leftist party achieves 48 seats, growing a further two seats to 50 in 5703. Vrn argues this is the beginning of the solidification as the Red Party on the political landscape. "The WJZR left deep scars in Jelbic society, Worldburnerist parties were not outright banned but the current constitution is written in such a way that parties that attempt to greatly alter the 'tread of society' are acting against the 'interests of the Jelbic peoples and the Kingdom' and are as such illegal. Societal upheaval is a core tenet of Worldburnerism, hence most people agreeing this is indeed a ban on the Worldburnerist ideology." The Red Party avoided any references to communism and Worldburnerism during its founding, even though many of the founders were former officials from the WJZR. Red was chosen to invoke a familiar feeling towards the left and the labour movements of bygone times. For most of its time the Red Party was a staunch democratic socialist party in the classical northern sense, but this changed around 5703 when a more flexible approach was tried by Lohn-Ginsl's maternal grandfather, the labour union leader Ibram Jeirisrmko Kárak.

The new softer touch of Kárak took a while to take hold, for in 5707 the party even lost four seats, while the liberal-conservatives under Prefect Pshamazrk were forced to cooperate with the social liberals. This coalition collapsed in a great public fight in 5711 over the migration issues. The LP under Pshamazrk pushed for strict quotas and expelling illegals, while the social liberal Jelbics Forward opposed any such measure. Once two ministers were seen almost engaging in physical violence the deal became clear - the coalition had fallen. In the subsequent elections the Red Party became second after the centrist King's Alliance with a difference of only one seat. However, for Kárak this was a victory and he became Minister of Foreign Affairs. For five years the Red Party was in government, for the first time since its founding. This success would not last, as they lost twelve seats in the 5716 elections. Tanhri's Will stormed to the top with 53 seats, but the Red Party was not invited back to the next coalition. A new discussion opened in the Grand Council about increasing political polarisation. With the largest party now swinging around fifty seats many were worried that forming a coalition would be impossible in the near future. The next elections saw, in a surprise swing, the Ahmadi Union strike up 60 seats to claim their first victory. The more secular and social tone had granted them the victory that still eluded the Red Party.

Under the Union's Prefect Mustav Sancak, this problem was addressed by introducing a new threshold for parties. Over the years many small parties had managed to find their way into the Grand Council, with four of them all hoovering around three to five seats. These small issue, extremist and populist parties subsequently disappeared in the 5726 elections. Sancak could not complete his ambition for a second term, as the liberal-conservatives climbed back to the top with 70 seats. A broad coalition was formed, but the LP blocked the Red Party from participating. By now the Red Party struggled with finding a charismatic person to pull their cart, swapping between candidates for every election. In 5730 the young upstart Genzi Krlysrmko Lohn-Ginsl, a local alderman from Gróds, put himself forward as the next party leader. This marks the beginning of the Red Party's rise to dominance. Lohn-Ginsl was young, charismatic, energetic and most importantly for the Jelbic voter: a pragmatic moderate. In the subsequent elections for 5731 the Red Party rose to 64 seats, one behind the liberal-conservatives. The old coalition continued, but people were clearly not content with the course of the government. Lohn-Ginsl's campaign was gaining massive traction, as both younger and older voters felt the appeal of the moderate left-wing people's person.

In 5733 Lohn-Ginsl broke with party tradition, officially the Red Party has always been negative towards the monarchy. When King Temrkai passed at age 88 he did so at immense popularity, having brought back democracy to Wrnuke - an ironic achievement for a monarch. His successor Bunjamín also enjoyed moderate popularity, having avoided scandals and committing most of his career as Archduke to philanthropic endeavours. Lohn-Ginsl did not agitate the royalist voter base, but instead embraced them by visiting the burial ceremony of the King, the first Red Party leader visit any official ceremony from the royal family.

Two years later the Red Party became the largest with 92 seats after a merciless campaign against the liberal-conservative government. Lohn-Ginsl became the youngest Prefect in a long time and was able to secure a deal with the social liberals to form a majority coalition with only two parties, another first since the fall of the WJZR. The government is young but has already shown itself to run a moderate left course, some tenets of Worldburnerism are shining through as the coalition agreement has some hefty ambitious goals on modernising Wrnuke's social security system and health care. Breaking with another Red Party tradition, Lohn-Ginsl has embraced a more hawkish tone than his predecessors - remarking that a strong Jelbic military is a necessity in todays difficult global arena.

Special Committee to review constitution for 'Great Reset'

Lohn-Ginsl arriving at the Grand Council.

1 February 5741, Wiel, Kingdom of Wrnuke
The elections of last year, after the unexpected fall of the Long-Ginsl cabinet, saw a steep fall for the Aked Prta, or Red Party, while maintaining their electoral lead with a narrow margin. The old coalition between the social liberals and centre-left no longer held a majority in the Grand Council, so coalition talks were opened while the old cabinet continued their work as a caretaker government. For weeks after, the conversations between parties stalled. A deadlock in parliament is what many called it, and even the enthusiastic and energetic Lohn-Ginsl seemed downtrodden. The constitutional amendment of 5725 was not having the intended effect. The Jelbic politics of Wrnuke can only be summarised as volatile, polarised and hostile - a stark contrast with the early years of the restored kingdom when parties across the aisles cooperated for greater goals. The situation got so desperate that King Bunjamín used one of his few remaining constitutional powers and summoned Prefect Lohn-Ginsl for an audience to discuss the parliamentary deadlock.

The conversation between the head of state and the head of government was reportedly productive, as the King addressed the nations only two days after on a national broadcast. During this now controversial speech King Bunjamín spoke about the recent situation in the nation and called for a 'Great Reset' - a term already controversial with conspiracy thinkers in Vanuku. Though, many believe it was chosen purposely to disarm the connection between the existing conspiracies. The speech called for national unity, to cast aside polarisation, to accept others for who they are and to work together for a greater democratic nation. The King explicitly called upon all representatives to think hard and deep on the current state of Vanuku. On social media the speech caused an outrage, with two camps forming. The one side argued the King had clearly overstepped his constitutional duties by openly calling for reforms, whereas the constitution states the monarch should be a neutral force that represents the nation domestically and abroad. The other camp however, stated that the current constitution also cites the King as the protector of the nation, and as such of the constitution. It is the first brazen act of a rather low profile monarch, during his tenure as heir to the throne Bunjamín was mostly involved in philanthropic causes and acted as a neutral representative of the throne during public outings. As King he has been more reclusive, mostly following the example of his father, and handing the representative task to his own son. However, his predecessor never involved himself in constitutional discussions. Nonetheless, Prefect Lohn-Ginsl addressed the Grand Council the day after and agreed with the King.

A special debate was called upon the request of the Prefect, with the presidium consenting to the longest possible time for the session. All members of parliament were present, even the recently injured leader of the far-right Scourge, Kuldrkai Nuremsrmko Avjokál, who joined in a wheelchair. The televised debate addressed all the issues of modern Jelbic politics, from the protests, to the cordon sanitaires, to the lack of progress and to the current atmosphere across the nation where more people are fighting about politics than voting. Lohn-Ginsl then adopted the King's 'Great Reset' term, stating that the current constitution from 5678 was drafted in the post-WJZR era when the nation was reeling from a dictatorship. It was a haphazard mixture of the old royalist constitution, fragments of the Worldburnerist one, and hastily drafted new additions to glue it all together. The amendments from 5725 did little to remedy the parliamentary issues of Wrnuke, with Lohn-Ginsl even arguing that they worsened after adding the electoral threshold, not even withstanding the damage it did to the democratic mandate of the people. This last sentence was met with applause from the smaller parties in the Grand Council, who for a long time have protested against the new amendments. To address the issues the Prefect proposed to set up a special committee to gather all concerns, list them, and then use them to draft a new constitution based on democracy, freedom, Jelbic values and the constitutional monarchy the nation has enjoyed since the fall of the dictatorship.

Much to the surprise of political pundits the proposal was voted in unanimously, without the Grand Council even agreeing on how members would be named to the newly founded Special Committee for the New Constitution. During later sessions members will be chosen from all layers of the Kingdom's society, with a focus on experienced lawmakers to draft the end result. The remainder of the debate was about the goals of the new constitution. Surprisingly, Lohn-Ginsl agreed that in the new constitution the committee members should consider restoring the ancient Royal Veto - officialising the role of the monarch as the guardian of the constitution and the integrity of the Kingdom. Representatives also agreed on removing the threshold, stating that all are welcome in Wrnuke's parliament if they manage to get the votes from the people.
