Wesley Campbell, Representative to the commonwealth council, United Republic of Likatonia
Quote:Firstly we thank Mr Longsword for bringing this motion forward. The Likatonian government will support the motion for an emergency recovery agency and we will ensure it is able to fulfil its mission effectively to rebuild conflict afflicted regions as well as to alieviate the humanitarian and economic situation in both Likatonia and Alduria. This governments priority is to restore stability and prevent the conflict from re-emerging, so we must surge support to the regions that have been affected by conflict it is through this that we will ensure a lasting peace. It is often said that war brings out both the worst and the best of us, that has ringed true throughout this war. We are glad that the commonwealth is finally stepping up to the mark. With the commonwealths support we are going to heal the nation.

Bob Spencer, Representative to the Commonwealth, Mordusia
Quote:Mr. Secretary-General,
Our Commonwealth stands strong when we are united and strong. We need to work together. That is why we support with all our heart the proposals put forward.
The Commonwealth is a family of nations that share a link to one another. A common history through past colonisation, sharing a crown, having related peoples, speaking the same language or other such links we have. It started with nations that have ties to Luthori and Hutori. But it continues to expand. To that end we support the observer status for Beluzia and Vascania. We would love their involvement in this Commonwealth.
Our language is important, as such we believe that our Luthorian brothers are correct in proposing a language council to make sure that the Luthorian language remains united, but also that the differing dialects and unique regional variants of Luthorian remain protected, respected and documented.
Charity and aiding the world, not only our own family of nations but also outside of it is the duty of every good Hosian nation and of nations that share the thoughts and values of this Commonwealth. We fully support the Commonwealth Emergency Recovery Agency.
We would ask the Secretary-General to also consider a military cooperation project or agency for the Commonwealth so make sure that this Commonwealth is also strong in a unstable world. In which nations within the Commonwealth come to each others aid in time of need.

Oliver Baffield, Secretary-General of the Commonwealth.
Quote:Due to the rather concerning situation unfolding in New Englia and Deltaria, my office has communicated to the other Prime Ministerial offices that an emergency session of the Commonwealth's Council of Ambassadors, hopefully with the heads of state and of government of the Commonwealth attending this meeting, to discuss a swift and effective response from the Luthorian-speaking world towards the rapidly deteriorating situation in New Englia and Deltaria. Although this session will be primarily focused upon the New Englian situation.

Joffrey Davies, Mordusian ambassador to the Commonwealth
Quote:Mr.Secretary-General, Mordusia believes that it is our duty as a strong family of nations to be more proactive and cooperative as a Commonwealth in an ever divided and uncertain world. Especially the situation in Deltaria and New Englia concern us deeply. Deltaria more on the front of stable economics and trade, they are central to Majatran trade and a problem there could hurt the region and thus us as well. However New Englia is different, its part of our Luthorian-speaking world, with people decendent of the Luthorian world. How can we ignore the plight of a sister nation?
We believe in the approach of the Secretary-General and I would call upon the leading members of the Commonwealth and those with the strongest military assets to lead a mission under the Commonwealth flag to aid New Englia. We should also consider doing this in a limited way in Deltaria. Mordusia is ready willing and able to supply what we can to such a mission, but we arent able to lead such a mission ourselves. To that we look primarily to Luthori and to Hutori.
On the economic front. A compessionate society is what we wish to be as Mordusia. We should urge New Englia to join the Commonwealth and that we invest through the Commonwealth Development Funds in the rebuilding of New Englia and aiding the development of their governmental structures. Afterall, isnt it our duty to help our family back on their feat?
The question remains, are we man enough to join together? Are we proud enough to not seek individual glory but to stand united as a family of nations to aid those in need? Mordusia is, are the rest?
