Foreign Office announces 2-weeks long Seleyan tour; objective set at developing relations with emerging nations.
December 5559
Fort William - The Office of the Department for Foreign Affairs announced a series of diplomatic engagements that the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs, Mrs. Carolina Pryce is going to attend during an established length of time. Mrs. Pryce, who achieved national prominence thanks to an interview with the Times newspaper, announced through her offices different voyages to Seleyan countries. The Department of Foreign Affairs announced that these visits would be made ‘in collaboration’ with the Department of Trade. Mrs. Pryce and Mr. Pearson [Richard], High Commissioner of the Government of Luthori for Trade and Commerce, is going to visit some Seleyan countries in hopes of developing trade and economic relationships with that continent.
The Department for Foreign Affairs confirmed that Gaduridos, Valruzia, Likatonia, Kanjor and Mordusia are going to see “working visits” happen in the next few months. This surprising development comes as a surprise as Seleyan policy didn’t seemed to be the “great priority” of the Luthorian Cabinet, as seen during Mrs. Pryce's interview, she seemed to be hinting towards a far more “Pro-Commonwealth” and “Pro-Artanian” foreign policy, while keeping the policy of pragmatism known in Luthori. Yet, difficulties arose ever since the recent crisis in Artania, as Luthorian-Lodamese relations became far more strained ever since this crisis. Foreign Secretary Pryce made the following statement in regards to this “rift” in relations.
Quote:“For years, Luthori and Lodamun’s relationship has been cordial, first held on by the Commonwealth framework, which has been left by a Lodamun-led by the LPA, and now held on by the Security Pact between Kensington and Fort William. Luthori, of course, as always, hopes for a better understanding of this relations between Luthori and Lodamun, which would lead to a continuation of this alliance and a continuation of good relations between our two countries, and, we think that this passes by a restoration of trade between Fort William and Kensington.”
The Foreign Secretary also remarked that Luthori’s new relationship, which was being developed with Likatonia, was a “great chance” for Luthori. Mrs. Pryce is expected to use her meetings with the Likatonian President to discuss further trade expansion, with more Luthorian goods being traded with Likatonian goods, as per with the free trade clause being present in the Commonwealth framework. She is also expected to try to “break the ice” between Mordusia and Likatonia, encouraging the two states to engage in a genuine, trustful and mutually beneficial relationship for the future. As for Mordusia, amidst the recent deployment of the Luthorian Task Force in Mordusia, Mrs. Pryce wants to show that Luthori is present at Mordusia’s side in other subjects than military matters, with the Luthorian Empire being ready to give away vast loads of investments in the Mordusian railway project. Mrs. Pryce stated that the Luthorian-Mordusian relationship was “one of Luthori’s greatest chances, as the Commonwealth and royal family used a basis for this relationship that gives us one of our strongest bonds yet.”
Luthori’s visits in Valruzia and Gaduridos may be considered to be surprising, but since both nations have shown sign of relative economic growth, with the former coming out from a “dark age”, allowing the Luthorians to create contact with both countries’ governments, in an attempt to diversify trade from traditional trade partners such as Aldegar, which seems to have undergone a quiet period in international affairs as of now. Opening trade and economic discussions with Ciudad de Gadur (Luthorian: City of Gadur) and Nowograd (Luthorianized in Novograd) is likely to result in a good relationship being fostered between these state and the Empire, who looks eager to work with these new or old partners.
Finally, the Foreign Secretary will make a stop to Kanjor, where the Tory administration of the Marquess of Holdenburg tried to create a thaw in relation, yet, Kanjorian distrustfulness of the Tory administration’s real motives crashed that down. With the Labour administration being in power, it seems that the awaited taw in relation could finally happen, with discussions on trade and economic partnership being the priority of this visit. Fort William hopes that, with this new partnership, its road to Southern Seleya could be finally secured with amicable relations being the norm with Mordusia, Alduria, Kanjor and maybe, one day Rildanor.
This can also be seen in a way where the Luthorians try to cozy up to the wider Canrillaise world. So individual relation-making may be helpful in that goal.

Luthori celebrates 10-year anniversary of Empress-Queen Audrey ascension to the Thrones
January 5560
Fort William [IPC] - Luthori’s Empress and Mordusia’s Queen, Audrey celebrates her 10-year reign over the Artanian and Seleyan realms. Over the course of the year, the Palace announced that a series of celebrations to commemorate her ascension to the Luthorian throne would be held all around the country to celebrate this landmark event. Empress-Queen Audrey ascended to the Luthorian throne in the aftermath of her father [Emperor Charles]’s death, becoming the first female Luthorian monarch in over 146 years and the death of her ancestor, HM Empress Elizabeth. The Empress, upon her ascension on the Luthorian throne also took the Throne of Mordusia, where a completely different ceremony and coronation was held upon the wishes of the Mordusian government, while in Fort William, opposition to any form of coronation outside of Luthori was widely present. The Empress reigned over a period known as “the Happy Times”, as recently, last year, to be precise, Luthori’s long rule by the Conservative Party came to a crushing end, with them losing their parliamentary majority in the Diet. Since then, the decade has been known as such after being previously dubbed as the “Boring Decade”, as it seems that “nothing was going to change during this [decade] time..”, according to a Times journalist who wished to remain anonymous.
The Luthorian Prime Minister, Mr. Stephen Carol expressed his “congratulations” to the Sovereign during their traditional meeting at the Orange Palace, stating that on behalf of “him, the Government and the Nation”. It should be noted that conversations between the Luthorian Prime minister and the Luthorian monarch are usually kept secret by both the Orange Palace and Crown Street [Luthori PM’s residence], here it’s a rare glimpse of these conversations that has been released by both houses’ press bureau. Mr. Carol’s address to the Sovereign seems to have reassured more moderate-minded Tories in Parliament, who were worried about this Government’s take on the Monarchy, and in the National Labour’s side, while not worried at all, some are quite “pessimistic” about any future change to the Monarchy’s influence and role in politics as they’ve previously hoped. As Mr. Carol’s positions have been mostly “Pro-Monarchist”, as he is himself a monarchist but not completely closed to the ideals of reform promoted by some in his Party. In Parliament, the Imperial Senate and Imperial Diet both released a statement of congratulations to the monarch for this anniversary, stating that they “pray for the health of Her Majesty the Empress for her reign to be long and peaceful” and other high-ranking Luthorian companies, personalities and others expressed their congratulations and wishes for the Empress’ health.
The Palace and Government, while confirming their tenure of some “moderate events” to celebrate the anniversary, such as a national bank holiday and a Thanksgiving Church Service at the St. Richard Cathedral, ruled out any thing that could resemble the celebration of a Silver, Gold or even Diamond Jubilee (celebrating the 25th, 50th and 60th years of reign of a Luthorian sovereign), stating this anniversary (not referred to an official Jubilee) would not receive the same hommages. Although, they’ve stated that the Empress and the Prince Consort would tour the Luthori and Mordusian realm to mark this event.

Palace Confirms that Princess Alexandra Will Study in Lourenne.
March 5560
Fort William - Orange Palace’s Press Secretary, Alexander Hilton confirmed rumors propagated by the Royals tabloid about the fact that Her Imperial Highness, Princess Alexandra, the third daughter of Empress Audrey and Prince Richard, third-in-line for the Luthorian throne would be conducting her studies abroad, studying in Lourenne rather than in Luthori. This announcement is quite unexpected coming from the Imperial Family as traditionally, all members of the Imperial family, regardless of their ranks in the line of succession, were studying in Luthori, then serving time in the Imperial Armed Forces. Yet, alongside her mother’s reign anniversary celebrations, it seems that this new announcement set the stone for some form of “modernization” of the royals.
Indeed, it should also be noted that Her Majesty the Empress [Audrey] and His Highness the Prince Consort [Richard] have approved what seems to be a wish coming from Her Highness herself. She’s always been known as being one of the most talented and intelligent royals currently living and while her siblings are also intelligent on their own right, Princess Alexandra has excelled in discipline such as philosophy, law and economics classes, along with speaking numerous languages fluently, such as Luthorian, her mother tongue, alongside other languages such as Vrassan, which is similar to Luthorian in some degree, but also integrates elements coming from the Egelian language, she’s also speaking Dundorfian, similar in some form to Luthorian due to their shared linguistic heritage, Canrillaise, which is mostly spoken by all members of the Imperial Family, and most surprisingly, Yingdalan.
A language which is not widely spoken within the House of Orange-Villayn and also reminding everyone of some not-too fond memories about the collapse of the Luthorian colonial empire and the fascist coup that resulted in this. Yet, ever since Emperor William X made a state visit to Yingdala alongside his Prime Minister, relations between both countries and their image in both respective countries have begun to shift towards an affirmative/positive view of both nations and their respective cultures, which may explain the recent surge in interest in learning Gao-Showan languages recently in Luthori. A trend which begun with a surge in interest for Dankukian culture, amids the marriage of their King with another man, the first openly gay marriage in a monarchy. While this also led to some interrogations about the acceptance of homosexuality in royal families, this debate was promptly shut down by the Orange Palace’s Press Corps which filed a complaint to some newspapers about this subject.
HM Empress-Queen Audrey is stated to have approved a preliminary draft to exempt her daughter from military service in the Imperial Luthorian Armed Forces, citing the “incompatibility” of her studies abroad with the military service in Luthori. It seems that the 19-year old princess isn’t going to see military service in order to continue her studies and will most likely see a civilian service being imposed on her, compared to her siblings. Princess Alexandra is expected to take up studies during the beginning of May at the University of Delaune, one of Lourenne’s most renowned and known universities. Where Her Imperial Highness is expected to learn these three subjects, alongside continuing her practice of Canrillaise, Dundorfian and Yingdalan, she is also expected to begin a course in history and political science, subjects that she already begun to learn thanks to the Luthorian education system, which during high school basically let students choose what they want to do.
Crown Street and the Malvin Headquarters, alongside the Citadel refused to comment on the Princess’ “dodging” of military service.

Kate Fleming Appointed as Governor of the Bank of Luthori.
February 5561

Fort William - From Fort William, we can hereby announce the nomination of Mrs. Kate (Catherine) Fleming as Governor of the Bank of Luthori (BoL), Luthori’s central bank. Representing a choice of reason and party loyalty by the Prime Minister and the Chancellor, as Mrs. Fleming was previously known for her left-wing positions as an economist at the beginning of her professional career, but has since moderated her position to become a standard Luthorian liberal economist. Mrs. Fleming’s appointment represents a step towards a stabilization of confidence in the currency, as she stated that she would take “measures” to stabilize the international market’s confidence in the Luthorian Pound and act with these policies to increase the value and standing of the Pound in the international monetary market. Chancellor of the Exchequer, Rebecca Landmorth stated that this appointment was meant to “stabilize the international confidence on the Pound, confidence that would be used to increase the overall value in the international monetary service of the currency [Pound]”, Mrs. Fleming’s appointment as Governor of the Bank of Luthori has been approved by the Imperial Diet, where the Labour majority of 60+ seats was easily convinced to vote for the nomination and the Imperial Senate where the Tory majority found little reason to vote against the nomination or even hold off the procedures to delay her nomination, being on the position that a stable Bank of Luthori would mean a stable economic landscape, so they voted in favor of this Bill meant to appoint her after conducting some hearings meant to know her competence in the role of Governor. The Bill received Royal Assent on December 3rd, signifying that Her Majesty the Empress officially appointed her as Governor of the State Bank. An nomination countersigned by the Prime Minister and Chancellor of the Exchequer as per with established constitutional protocols.
Senate Leader (Leader of the Senate), Neil Copernick stated that this vote and subsequent appointment as a “great victory” for the Labour Government, who is currently in the process of passing their budget proposal in both Houses of Parliament, although some opposition from fiscal conservatives in the Tory Party and Liberal Party is to be expected in the Imperial Diet, due to both parties’ status as a minority in the legislature, it shouldn’t be much of an issue for the Prime Minister and his government, but, the Senate is likely to be where the real issues lies, as here, the National Labour government do not hold a majority of seats, that being held by the Conservatives thanks to their advantage with the aristocracy of the nation. The Shadow Leader of the Imperial Senate, Henry Koppuyns (CON) stated that the Conservative opposition had “some sincere oppositions” about this Budget, as the military budget would likely see cuts in favour of the education and healthcare budgets. Prime Minister Carol has congratulated Mrs. Fleming on her appointment as Governor of the Bank of Luthori, stating that it was a “good thing” to continue the relative economic and financial stability in which the Luthorian Empire is currently situated.
With her appointment as Governor of the Bank of Luthori, Mrs. Fleming has the mission to provide financial stability, economic stability and finally monetary stability to the Luthorian Pound, she is also expected to create the necessary adjustments, alongside the Cabinet Office, to make the sitting government’s economic policy works, yet she will also have a right “of regard” in any new governmental economic policy, remaining the number 2 authority in that regard behind the Secretary of State for the Economy. With this appointment, the markets were reassured with a stable leadership at the Bank of Luthori, citing that the Government hopes to continue economic stability and, by appointing a social-liberal, seems to begin moving towards respecting the current status quo, or even move towards a more liberal-minded economic sector.

Imperial Luthorian Army, Air Force looks into UAVs development; Renewed interest in satellite development and space program
May 5560
Fort William - Chief of Defence Staff, Arthur Pinkman stated in a recent press briefing with journalists that the Imperial Luthorian Armed Forces would enter a phase of “..reflection..” on the future fabrication and usage of drones in warfare. The head of the Luthorian military stated that while the Imperial Luthorian Armed Forces agreed “in principle” that domestic production of drones should be secured, only “details” about that plan should be discussed within the Imperial General Staff. Many journalists and editorialists stated that this move around the construction of Luthorian drones, whether they may be used for reconnaissance or in direct theatre of operations comes from the recent Lodamese withdrawal from the Artanian continent in the aftermath of heavy diplomatic pressure from Artanian states (of which Luthori is a part of).
The Citadel “noted” this disengagement as being “in-line” with the government’s policy of non-foreign presence in Luthorian soil and on the Artanian continent, outlined during the Foreign Secretary’s speech during the Hobrazian Naval Base Crisis.
General Pinkman outlined that the Imperial Luthorian Army, Navy and Air Force, as per with their ongoing modernization program understood the necessity of the development of drone warfare in the future, with mostly the Imperial Luthorian Air Force becoming the first beneficiaries of the modernization effort in this field.
It is to be also stated that, in terms of reconnaissance, the Imperial Army and the Department of Science and Technology have begun working together to lobby the Government towards an increase of the Department’s budget, as the Army and civilian sector have begun to be more interested in the realm of the development of a Luthorian satellite network, to become less reliant on the current usage of foreign satellites. This move has, it seems, been supported by the Home Ministry and the Foreign Intelligence Agency, who seems to be more and more interested in having more tools to conduct her primary mission of protecting the Luthorian realm from external threats. Yet, the Luthorian Space Agency stated that it is “very unlikely” that a satellite could be launched from the Luthorian territory during this decade, as the “lack of funds” observed during the last decade took an “enormous toll” in the LSA, culminating in it having to remake for these lost years before focusing herself to the development of any Luthorian space program. Prime Minister Carol stated that the Cabinet was “weighing the options” before giving his first budget to Parliament, one that respects fiscal conservatism and still gave money to departments other than the military.
Coming back to the military drone project, the Imperial Air Force stated that it was currently working with Luthorian defence corporations to make the project see first, approval from the General Staff, then approval from the Government to unlock funding for bigger fundings, then construction. For now, the Imperial Air Force’s High Command, represented by the Chief of the Air Staff, Jenny Fawman stated that the “Imperial Luthorian Air Force’s objective was to run unmanned aircraft vehicles into the Artanian Sea to conduct small-scale intelligence missions and reconnaissance missions, alongside helping the Home Fleet operating in the area to enforce quick and swift responses after an alert given by the UAVs…”, of course, she recognized that this project was in collaboration with the Imperial Luthorian Navy to begin the test these UAVs. It is stated that the Imperial Army was working closely with Dall Aviation and Keller Atomic Aircraft, for the creation of a new combat unmanned vehicle, that project having the codename of “Reaper”, with this combat UAV, however, it is hoped to increase Luthori’s power projection around the globe by using these combat machines as an effective way to conduct potential dangerous operations in certain areas.
This quick interest in the unmanned aircraft vehicles also comes in handy with a rapid return to interest to the stars, as many Luthorian politicians, lamenting the state of “stagnation” that this country is in, seems to restore some form of innovation in the Luthorian Empire, and the development of the space industry seems to be a way to do as such. The development of AI in these technologies is also to consider a real possibility.

Fruits of the Open Door: Luthori and Kanjor signs bilateral meeting; prompting hopes on future bilateral relations.
July 5562
![[Image: statue-buenosaires-argentina.adapt_.1900...900&h=1268]](https://static.nationalgeographic.fr/files/styles/image_3200/public/statue-buenosaires-argentina.adapt_.1900.1.jpg?w=1900&h=1268)
Fort William, Luthori [EI]; Atyr, Kanjor [NPA] - Foreign Secretary Pryce announced her engagement in a "Seleyan Tour" recently, as Luthori's collimator shifted amids the tides of recent history. Mrs Pryce's traval to Kanjor represents the very first visit from a Luthorian Foreign Secretary or even the first visit from a Luthorian dignitary in the Southern Seleyan Canrillaise-speaking country. Here, while the pomp and glamour, representative of traditional "state" visits was lacking, due to the status of this visit as a "working" visit, the Foreign Secretary was still well-received by her Kanjorian counterparts. So, well received in fact, that we may even forget the frictions existing between a Luthori led by a Tory administration, which was also eager to visit Kanjor, which at the time, seemed like the "successor" to Lourenne's traditional role as the Leader of Humanitarian, Democratic Values. Yet, as History remembers, Kanjor would have never reached such a place, as, in the aftermath of the NRP's dissolution and the end of the interim government which ruled Lourenne to led her in a "transition" period, a new party, formed by ex-NRP members, eager to not see their nation's falling from her place, named the Party for Canrillaise Restoration, filled the vaccum and lead Lourenne through this decade filled with stagnation worldwide. Prime Minister Carol stated in his inaugural address that a "new way" forward was needed in Seleya, a sentiment echoed by his Foreign Secretary.
With this visit, it seems that a significant step has been marked towards the overall normalization of relations between the Canrillaise World and the Luthorian Empire, whereas relations are still cold between the United Kingdom of Lourenne and the Luthorian Empire, the Palace of Oisy's upcoming visit to Fort William is hoped to be a continuation of Mrs. Pryce's visit in Kanjor, continuing the small, albeit careful steps towards a meaningful reconcilliation and normalization of relations between Eroncourt and Fort William. Something that could potentially be helped by the Canrillaise Emperor's quest for a bride to become Empress of Canrille. Her Highness, Princess Alexandra, currently studying in Lourenne for over 2 years now, has been stated as being a candidate, although the Orange Palace seems to have denied this. No communication from the Palace of Lights, who conduct this inquiry with the upmost secrecy has been heard about the candidates, fueling rumors and conspiracy theories online.
Mrs. Pryce's visit to Kanjor was, for the first part, fuelled with diplomatic conduct, as firstly, the Foreign Secretary met with her Kanjorian counterpart at the Foreign Ministry of Kanjor, Mr. Eugène Chastain, with whom the Foreign Office negociated and handled most of the diplomatic work with. As Mr. Chastain was more likely more "Pro-Luthorian" than his predecessor at the Office, Mrs. Angèle Marin, whose comments about the Luthorian Government's conduct in Seleya seems to have drawn back the development and normalization process by some years. Mrs. Pryce also met with Kanjor's Prime Minister, Mr. Etienne Bessieres, alongside key officials which were members of the Kanjorian Government. During a reception at the Governor-General's Official Residence, where the Luthorian Foreign Secretary and High Commissioner were well-received. Mrs. Pryce's words were about an "hope" that "this visit may sound the beginning of a new age for Luthori and Kanjor, for Luthori and Canrille". Mrs. Pryce and other Luthorian government officials were never afraid to admit their admiration for the Canrillaise Empire and its system of government, drawing similarities to the Canrillaise rule of law and the Luthorian system, compared to a more discret Tory Party, who, while favourable to the normalization and reconcilliation process currently ongoing between the Canrillaise World and the Luthorian World, with some steps being acheived in domains such as fashion, the Tories' successive administrations favoured a policy of "neutrality" towards Canrille, than engaging steps towards reconcilliation.
Agreements in regards to a deepening of Kanjorian-Luthorian commerce and trade and economic relationship were signed between the two Foreign Ministers, who, after days of negociations conducted by both of their respective Offices of Foreign Affairs, came to an agreement, advantaging both the Luthorians and the Kanjorians alike. Luthori's Foreign Secretary and her Kanjorian counterpart signed an agreement that would pave the way towards the establishment of a free trade between Luthori and Kanjor "long-term", according to Bismarck Palace, and while today, this wasn't the point of Mrs. Pryce's diplomatic visit in Kanjor, that was to only discuss the possibilities existing to develop Kanjor and Luthori's economic partnership in the short and medium term. One agreement was signed to allow the participation of both Kanjorian and Luthorian companies in both countries' markets, one that is likely by Kanjorian companies as their base of operations for any expansion into Artania proper and for Luthorian companies as another competitive market to set their eyes into, distancing themselves from Luthori's traditional and stalwart Commonwealth ally, the Commonwealth of Mordusia. Other paper were signed such as a general agreement about reducing tariffs that can be imposed upon both countries' manufacturated goods upon arrival in each other's territory. Luthori has currently held a tariff (ad valorem) of 10,5 % on all Seleyan goods, except Mordusian, Likatonian, Lodamese goods, although this policy is likely to be changed in regards to Luthori and Lodamun's fricition with eachother, as the Department of Trade stated that the "current weight of Lodamese trade in Luthori may call for a reflexion in terms of tariffs and quotas regulations", especially as this privilege was kept well after their departure from the Commonwealth framework, which binds Luthori to apply no tariff and quotas coming from any of its Commonwealth partners. High Commissioner Pearson confirmed that the Department of Trade would look to reduce the overall tariffs ad valorem imposed on Kanjorian goods, as Kanjor is likely also going to engage a conversation about this subject. Talks within the Cabinet talks about a decrease of 4.75 % of the tariff compared to today, bringing it to a level of 5.75 %, a number which is hoped to be decreased long-term to allow for the creation of a free-trade agreement between Atyr and Fort William.
Luthorian exports of automobile, agricultural products, high technology products and other manufacturated goods are expected to increase over the course of the years, especially as it is likely that Kanjor reduces her own tariffs on Luthorian goods, as well as Luthorian investment into the country's economy. Already, some Luthorian companies specialized in finance such as Cullsworth or the MABC have already invested some part of their money into the "megaproject", which would see the Isle of La Tondelle being connected to Mainland Kanjor and Mainland Seleya through rail and road, and Luthorian private construction companies such as Ethan Brothers, have invested and explored the possibility of working as a contracted company in this construction yard. In Luthori proper, Parliament and more precisely, the Imperial Diet "congratulated" the Prime Minister and His Administration on this diplomatic agreement, adding another laurel to the Luthorian Government, after their successful visits in Gaduridos, Mordusia, Valruzia and Likatonia. Something that may prove useful, especially as the General Elections are coming close.

Government Empowers Imperial General Staff to Swiftly Conduct Military Modernization.
March 5563
Fort William, Luthori - Communications coming from the Department of Defence and the Office of the Prime Minister states that the Government seems to be heading towards a confirmation of the standing order given by the Citadel about the development of new weapons system for the Imperial Luthorian Armed Forces. Recently, the Imperial Luthorian Army and Air Force explored the prospect of exploring the development of new intelligence and attack drones, which would be either used in reconnaissance missions all around the locations where the Imperial Armed Forces are currently deployed in. Prime Minister and Defence Secretary alike seems to have been convinced by the Imperial General Staff to authorise the enactment "State Authorization on Military Development", this so-called "State Authorization" gives to the Imperial General Staff absolute authority to conduct military modernization as it saw fit, without the ever-needed influence of the Malvin Headquarters. Although the State Authorization has a glitch, the Department of Defence still remains the absolute authority in that matter, so any Defence Secretary can veto and push for another policy of military modernization if they saw fit. The Chief of Defence Staff, Arthur Pinkman offered his thoughts about the enactment of such authorization.
Quote:There is very little thought about the enactment of this Authorization, as the Imperial Armed Forces have been acting independent, although with the State's blessings with the "Howard Memorandum", which authorize the Chief of Defence Staff, the Imperial General Staff of enacting policies which would, if necessary, help to the overall modernization process of the Armed Forces. Although this should be noted to be only a "Standing" Order, as this was limited in time. This new order stipulates that this is only going to come to an end when the Government and the General Staff see fit. Although, as per our constitutional traditions, the civilian authority always has the last word. We can only thank the Honourable Prime Minister and the Honourable Defence Secretary for having empowered the Imperial General Staff to conduct the reforms needed in our military.
The first effect of this Order comes from the Authorization from the Imperial General Staff and the Department of Defence for the development of two separate projects. The first being, in regards to Luthori's current capabilities in the manner of ballistic missile production, as the Luthorian Government seeks to increase the number of ballistic missiles currently operating within the Imperial Air Force's Command. Luthori also seeks to develop IRBMs and ICBMs, like the one developed in Beiteynu, known as the Yeudicho ICBMs and the ones developed in Kundrati, in terms of IRBMs. For now, this project is only remaining as such, at the state of project, this "Project Nightfall" as it is called, is just remaining at the state of “eventuality” for now, as no visible progress on the issue has been made beforehand. The other project also calls for the development of, this time, unmanned armed vehicles (UAVs), like the ones which have been developed in Lodamun, one of the great inspirations for this policy. “Operation Watchful Eye”, as it has been dubbed by the Imperial General Staff, was formerly a top-secret operation, now it has been revealed to the public eye, after some hints in the media. This Operation has been more concrete, as the Government came to a deal with Luthorian companies such as the Sterling-Verner Group (or SV Group) for the development of an unmanned armed vehicle, called the “Watchkeeper”. This reconnaissance drone will be tasked with handling operations of reconaissance in the Artanian Sea. The project for an attack drone, the “Reaper” project has also been given a green light from Fort William.

Luthori/Gaduri State Visit: A Friendship Rekindled and Healing.
11th, October 5564
![[Image: ultimatemexicocity-hero-shutterstock-105...0x800.jpeg]](https://www.mexique-voyages.com/wp-content/uploads/ultimatemexicocity-hero-shutterstock-1058054480-1280x800.jpeg)
Fort William - Today, Foreign Secretary Pryce and High Commissioner Pearson met with Gaduri officials to rekindle a long lost relationship beyond the Aldegar Canal. The Republic of Gaduridos and the Holy Luthori Empire, during the last moments of the 55th Century, forged together a quite pleasant and respectful relationship over the years. This relationship was steered around by the developing trade relationship between Ciudad de Gadur and Fort William. Yet, due to the Government’s eventual collapse thanks to the Gaduri radicals’ efforts, this trade relationship which was only beginning to bear fruits for both countries began to collapse. As Luthori’s gaze increasingly looked south instead of East, towards Aldegar and Mordusia. Yet, recently, it seems that Gaduridos has begun reentering the Global Financial and Economic Markets, the Luthorian Government has begun to reopen informal ways of communications between Ciudad de Gadur and the Bismarck Palace. Prime Minister Carol, amids his arrival in 10 Crown Street, seems to have received calls from some Gaduri politicians within the PSSG (Seleyan Social Democratic Party of Gaduridos) to begin a process for the restoration of relations between Luthori and Gaduridos. With that context in mind, Mrs. Pryce, as per with her ongoing Seleyan tour, visited Gaduridos. She was welcomed by the Gaduri President after disembarking from the Luthorian state-chartered plane that she used for her travels. The objective and mindset of this “working” visit was quickly established during preliminary meetings between diplomatic representatives from both countries, that being, the complete restoration of the Pre-Radicalization [in Gaduridos] relationship over time.
Fort William released a small memorandum contemplating [“On the State of Gaduri-Luthorian Relations and Its Future”] the issues lagging with the restoration of the relationship, mostly focused around the overall decrease of trade between Ciudad de Gadur and Fort William over the years in favour of more stable countries in the continent [ie. Aldegar, Mordusia, Kalistan (formerly)], and that a restoration of the Pre-Radicalization Era trade relationship, would take up “some time”, if not even decades of continued work towards the restoration and expansion of that relationship. While Fort William states the difficulty of the task ahead, it remains optimistic on the future status of relations between the Luthorian Empire and Gaduri Republic, especially as Luthori’s other traditional ally in the region, Aldegar suffers from economic stagnations since some years now, prompting investors worries about the state of the country’s economy and prompting the Luthorian financial and economic class to pressure the Government to “reconsider” the currently existing trade ties between Luthori and Aldegar, forcing it to enter some sort of “consideration” about the expansion of Luthori’s ties in Seleya by forging or reforging new relations with other Seleyan nations. This was seen during the recent working visit from the Foreign Secretary in Kanjor, opening ties in the economic sense between the two states, something that is reproduced with that working visit.
The Foreign Secretary was accompanied during this trip by the Luthorian High Commissioner for Commercial Affairs, who is there to accompany the Foreign Secretary in the difficult tendrils of the restoration of trade routes between Luthori and Gaduridos, as well as the restoration of commerce between the two nations. A declaration of “General Framework” for relations was adopted by the Luthorian Parliament, calling for greater ties between the Seleyan Continent, the “heart of Terra”, as it was called in the Framework and Luthori proper, with a greater emphasis being put in the Commonwealth organisation, and more specifically, on the Commonwealth realms. Alongside this Framework, the Foreign Secretary’s subsequent negotiations with the Government of Gaduridos was focused around the restoration of relations, of course, but also, with the overall deepening of that said relations on the same time. Fort William proposing many advantages to either Gaduri citizens, businesses or even State in exchange for the restoration of trade, alongside the lines of the Gaduri-Luthorian Friendship Treaty, signed in 5480. This Treaty was reaffirmed by the Imperial Diet to be the “basis of relations, upon which the Government must base itself upon when handling relations with the Gaduri State”, this reaffirmation of the Treaty was confirmed during the meetings between the Foreign Secretary and her Gaduri counterpart, making negotiations in terms of trade much more easier than compared with nations such as Valruzia or Kanjor, with whom Luthori is only developing relations since a short time.
What came out of these meetings were either completely expected, or were, in a sort, even unexpected in Luthorian regards. The Foreign Secretary’s deal entailed the complete restoration of Luthorian trade to Gaduridos and vice-versa, in no particular timeframe being explored. Another thing entails, and that’s the surprise, the selling and offering of River-class offshore patrol vessels to the Gaduri Coast Guard. Fort William agreed, in the same vein as the deal made with Yishelem about the selling of 3 Vanguard-class submarines, something that would be added with 2 other submarines of the same class being offered to the Yeudi Fleet. Here, the Luthorians also made the same lucrative deal, selling 4 River-class offshore patrol vessels for £160 millions, this was also added with the gift of 2 other River-class to the Gaduri Naval Forces. Such contracts are expected to end in 5567, with the delivering of all River-class patrol vessels to the Gaduris. The last part of this deal entailed economic investments coming down from Luthori to Gaduridos to continue the current stimulus seen by the nation, such investments would come from Luthorian financial institutions into the nation. These investments would for now, be focused around agriculture and manufacturing, especially steel manufacturing, where Luthorian coal would be used in Gaduri factories for the manufacture of such material.
It seems that the Luthorian-Gaduri friendship is slowly healing, towards a more prosperous future, hopefully.
