FOREIGN MINISTRY LOOKING AT ANANTONESE EMBARGO EFFECT ON SEC
 
Premier’s Office, September 26, 5588:  CLAIRON PICARD asked the new Premier, Michel Maldfois, how the Anantonese Embargo effected Kanjor and he replied:
 

Three things to look at with respect to that question.  First, we are not currently trading with Kundrati.
 
Second, the Seleyan Economic Community Free Trade Agreement includes Likatonia as well as Rildanor, Alduria, Kanjor, Gaudiridos, Mordusia and Lodamun. So we and a lot of other Seleyan nations have been trading with Likatonia. We have raised the question of how it affects that agreement at an SEC conference in progress. Unfortunately the Likatonian delegate just left that conference.
 
Third, our intelligence has not confirmed actual atrocities by the government of Kundrati to date; however preparations seem to be in progress and our judgment is the inclination is there.  So we expect to be reacting before long both as Communaute de Kanjor and as a member of the Union of Canrille most probably with trade sanctions and condemnation.  Likatonia seems to be in a military alliance with Kundrati and should atrocities occur we would most likely sanction Likatonia as well. We do not believe they have to date allowed an actual Kundrati base.

CLAIRON PICARD asked if the Anantonese Embargo was premature, and Malfois replied:
 

We trust the Anantonese Empire and our other Seleyan brothers and sisters to act as they deem proper based on the best information they have as we are doing.

GOVERNOR GENERAL  ANNOUNCES SANCTIONS AGAINST KUNDRTI
 
Governor General’s Palace, April 16, 5586:  Asked by CLAIRON PICARD what the Chamber of Deputies was doing concerning Kundrati, Governor General Constance Berthier responded:
 

Like many of our friends and neighbors, Communaute de Kanjor, is passing sanctions against the rogue state Kundrati because of its abusive regime. Our sanctions will bar trade, sever relations and limit any contact with its merchant or naval vessels or aircraft to emergency situations where the ship or plane would use airfields and port facilities of our Naval Bases at Torges and Picard where they would be interred.
 
The legislation also condemns Likatonia for entering an alliance with such a regime.  We have raised the question of trade with Likatonia in the face of the Anantonese embargo with the Seleyan Economic Community and expect action m the Union of Canrille as well.

Premier Malfois
 
DUNDORF AND KANJOR TALKING ARMS PRODUCTION VENTURES
 
Premier’s Office, April 16, 5589:   CLAIRON PICARD  asked Premier Michel Malfois what was going on  between Bundesrepublik Dundorf and Communaute de Kanjor, and he replied:
 

Our Foreign Ministry and the Bundesrepublik’s Foreign Office have been discussing the possibility of some of our military hardware being sold there and some of theirs being available to us.  Both of us are adherents to abiding by humanitarian principles in international relations, and so filling in perceived gaps in our defense structure with them seems pretty natural to us.
 
This is somewhat more complicated than it may seem.  Although both our nations from time to time have military production privatized, at the moment all the items of interest are produced by privately owned industries.  So the governments involved can not just make a deal.
 
So what we are doing is sounding out private contractors with a view to making appropriate arrangements.  We are quite hopeful this will work out.

4th IMPERIAL FLEET RELOCATES IN PICARD
 
Defense Ministry, April19, 5589: CLAIRON PICARD has learned that in view of a changing situation in the Union of Canrille, two relocations have been made presumably in conjunction with one another.
 
The Chief of Naval Operations has ordered 4 Delaune Class Frigates, 4 Atyr Class Frigates and 4 Roi Class Frigates transferred from Task Force 22 in the Port of Picard to Task Force 11 in the Port of Le Cher-Comte.
 
The Acting Chief of the Union of Canrille’s Imperial Command, Admiral Antoine Suchet, has ordered 4th Imperial Fleet located in the Port of Meroix, Rildanor, to relocate to Task Force 22 in Picard.
 
There are budgetary effects and Defense Minister Marcel Augereau, the Chief of the National Defense Staff, the Chief of Naval Operations, Admiral Suchet and appropriate staff are conferring on this.

STANDARDIZING HELICOPTER COMPLEMENT ON AMPHIBIOUS ASSAULT SHIPS
 
Defense Ministry, April 19, 5590: CLAIRON PICARD has learned that the Director General of Defense Acquisition (EGAD) has been directed by Defense Minister Marcel Augereau over the next 47 months to replace all rotary craft in the complements of our 12 Alduria Class Assault Transport Ships in Task Force 12 based at Villebrun-sur-Mer with KDESG 341 F Gazelles for purposes of standardization.
 
This on the recommendation of the Chief of Naval Operations endorsed by the Chief of the National Defense Staff.
 
EGAD is arranging the details with  Kanjorean Defense Enterprises Supply Group (KDESG) for the supply of these light attack helicopters.

GOVERNOR GENERAL ANNOUNCES SUPPORT FOR XSAMPAN DIPLOMACY
 
Governor General’s Palace, May 16, 5590: Governor General Constance Berthier today made the following announcement:
 

Communaute de Kanjor commends Xsampa for responding to military provocation by Moledet Medinat by diplomacy rather than force of arms.   The four Xsampan demands for diplomatic resolution of the conflict between them are undeniably reasonable and just.
 
We do hope Moledet Medinat will take the path to peace set out by Xsampa and resolve this conflict it has triggered.

INTERACTION WITH KALOPIA AND TAX REDUCTION BOOST ECONOMY
 

Finance Ministry, November 21, 5590:  Asked by CLAIRON PICARD how the economy is faring

with a truncated Union of Canrille, Finance Minister Fabrice Courbet replied:

 

The big boost has come from a trade treaty with Kalopia,  Kalpoian interests will be buying our Bauxite so our bauxite industry is booming.  And we are buying their diamonds; a great opportunity to upgrade our jewelry market and upgrade our industrial machinery considerably.

 
Societe Nationale de Bourse Intermediare (SNBI) is our government entity doing the buying and selling and acting as intermediary.  The treaty was conceived by the Government of Kalopia, and we are very much appreciate the opportunity to work with it for mutual benefit.                                                                                                                            

The other major development is after working on the budget and tax code, Federation Canrille can truly say the tax code is not confiscatory anymore.  Which is why we reentered the political realm

ARMS PRODUCTION COOPERATION BETWEEN DUNDORF AND KANJOR
 
Defense Ministry May13, 5591:   Defense Minister Marcel Augereau announced today five new military arms and equipment sales opportunities arranged by Bundesrepublik Dundorf and Communaute de Kanjor.  Initial contacts were by the Bundesrepublik’s Foreign Minister Alexander Schumacher and our Foreign Minister, Paul- Henri Bourmont.; detailed arrangements were handled by the Dundorfische Foreign Office and the  Ministry of Defense’s Director General of Defense Acquisition (EGAD).
 
The arrangements are as follows:
 
Fuchstal Elektrisch will manufacture and sell its FE Schnellreparturraketen light multiple rocket launcher system in conjunction with the Kanjorean subsidiary of Canrillaise Defense Systems in Communaute de Kanjor.
 
Dundorfische Hoch Logistik (DHL) will manufacture and sell its DHL Truppenbeweger 310 military air transport aircraft in conjunction with the Kanjorean subsidiary of Canrillaise Defense Systems in Communaute de Kanjor.
 
Jeschonnek Hubschauder (JHS) will manufacture and sell its JHS LCH light combat helicopter in conjunction with the Kanjorean Defense Equipment and Supply Group (KDESG) in Communaute de Kanjor.
 
The Kanjorean subsidiary of Canrillaise Defense Systems will manufacture and sell its Rafale B/C F4.2 fighter bomber in conjunction with Donnerluft in Bundesrepublik Dundorf.
 
[font=Tahoma, sans-serif]Arsenal Preud'Homme Group will manufacture and sell its Delaune Class frigate in conjunction with DHL Maritime in Bundesrepublik Dundorf most likely in its shipyard on Ikradun Island.[/font]
 
Augereau explained that the Dundorfische Defence Ministry will now be able to domestically build frigates while EGAD will now be able to buy decent air transports from Canrillaise Defense Enterprises rather than shop in Artania or Trigunia for them.

GOVERNMENT TO PROMOTE ELECTRIC VEHICLE CHARGING STATIONS
 
Governor General’s Palace, January 16, 5592: Governor General Constance Berthier convened the Council of Ministers today to discuss economic priorities.
 
It was generally agreed that expanding nuclear generated energy to provinces other than Silliers should wait awhile.  Everyone wants to do it but other things need emphasis right now.
 
It was also agreed that should Alduria want too connect with the Trans Seleyan Railroad, that Communaute de Kanjor would help and other things might need to wait. Rail lines are in place from Kanjo to Alduria’s capital.
 
Money has been put in the budget and the Bank of Canrille funds are available for maintaining the Lourennass fleets we are operating as part of Imperial Command, and no real military expansion seems necessary at the moment.
 
The project on which it was decided to channel new money was electric vehicle charging stations in Numineux Province and parts of Martois and Val d’Azur provinces.  Further, if Aldutria wanted to revive joint efforts this would be welcomed.
