"Hawkish" Tory Party set to take over reigns of governance after next elections; as Labour's poll remains low.
7th, June 5571
Fort William - Apparently official, is the fact that Luthori will likely see an alternate Prime Minister take over the Government after the 5572 general elections. Mrs. Pryce's National Labour Party remains deadly second, after some unpopular policies being pushed forward by the current Administration, such as the controversial education reform and end of compulsory military service within either the Imperial Luthorian Army, Imperial Luthorian Navy or Imperial Luthorian Air Force. These policies alienated the National Labour-Liberal coalition government from a good part of the Luthorian voters who were staunchly conservative, yet didn't vote at the last election due to disagreements with the Conservative Party's political direction, it leading more towards the center at the time. With the death of Jesse Lawrence, the door opened with the Unionist Conservatives to take back the Party's leadership and with Reinhold Carrington as its main contender.
With that in mind, and a general tiredness of the people from 15-years rule from the National Labour Party, either alone or in a coalition government, it seems increasingly likely that the Conservative Party will ascend to the Premiership in the aftermath of these years' elections.
Crown Street already having announced that PM Pryce was conducting a visit to Lourenne in order to continue the building-up of relations between Luthori & Lourenne and as well as to reassure the Lourennais Government about a future Tory administration and their likely approach towards Canrille. Mr. Carrington already stated during a campaign event and during the Debate, that he seeks to continue the current foreign policy, based upon trade and mutual assistance and that the Canrillaise policy wouldn't be modified, albeit that excluded "exceptional" circumstances, according to him.
Promising to persue "radical" reforms to Luthorian society and economy, he promised to "break off" the current helding consensus about state intervention in the economy, running on a prospect that the Luthorian Government should see its powers of intervention within the economy be reduced at the "bare minimum", running as a more "libertarian" candidate than ever before in Luthorian history, he also called for a reduction of state powers in favour of devolution, something normally unheard of within the Conservative Party. He vowed to meet every single Minister-President at Crown Street to "look into the concerns of the people of each subdivision of the Empire".
Although Mr. Carrington's economic campaign has been focused around the liberalization of the Luthorian economy, at an even greater scale than the one promised that the Labour-Liberal Government, he remained committed to be amelioration of the quality of service granted by state institutions such as the Imperial Health Service, the National Police Service, the Justice Department and other state institutions that he vowed to support during his entire term, while at the same time selling stakes out of government owned companies such Luthori Petroleum or the Imperial Gas Company to foreign actors and domestic investors. Detractors have dubbed him with the wish of "selling off the country", while supporters dubbed him as the "Harbinger of the Conservative Revolution".
Finally, he also vowed to support the Imperial Luthorian Armed Forces' modernization process, and notable fact, he's one of the most right-wing Conservative leaders to ever stand at an election, supporting restriction on euthanasia, abortion just to note a few of his policies, yet, during the entire campaign, in an attempt to re-assure future partners in Parliament, the Empress and the more moderate-minded populace, he stated that his "opinions on societal issues" wouldn't be a big theme of his Premiership and has only vowed to restore a "mandatory" and "patriotic" military service in the Armed Forces, something that has been withdrawn by the current government, following the CoDS' wishes to do so.
Mr. Carrington is an already known figure within the Luthorian political establishment, he's been the Member of Parliament for Chester for now over 12 years, having been re-elected twice, and he's now on his way to secure he and his Party's victory at the next general election, becoming Luthori's 4th Prime Minister under Empress Audrey's Reign and her second Tory Prime Minister. Mr. Carrington has been considered to be a "Hawkish" Tory Leader as he's now openly putting the option of military interventions to "protect Luthori's interests" and the "interests of the Luthorian-speaking states", as the interest of the Commonwealth will be a more looked-upon issue by the next Luthorian government led by Mr. Carrington. Of course, his foreign policy all depends on the person that he's going to appoint as Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs.

Ward Financial Group Announces Installation of New Headquaters in Likatonia; MABC in Mordusia; Cullsworth in Gaduridos.
September 5571
Fort William, Clovisport - Ward Financial Group's representatives recently met with Likatonian officials to discuss the possibilities of an arrangement for the construction a new headquarters which would handle the Ward Financial Group's activities in Seleya. Some months ago, Dr. D.V Ewatt, Ward's Chief Executive Officer went to Likatonia to meet with the Likatonian President and economic leaders to see an opportunity for the opening of an new headquarters in Likatonia.
This comes after many calls coming from other Luthorian financial companies, such as the Martwick-Alchester Banking Corporation (MABC) for the construction of a new headquarters in Seleya.
It has been announced that the Ward Financial Group and the Likatonian Government have found an agreement towards the building of a new headquarters in Clovisport's Business Quarter, where the Luthorian firm announced the location of the HQ.
This announcement isn't surprising in any way, as it was expected that other Luthorian financial firms would have been interested towards creating an headquarters in Seleya to handle all their Seleyan affairs and businesses that they are investing into. The agreement is stipulating that the WFH would be installing themsleves in Likatonia after 5573, when the headquarters' construction is expected to be over. During the time that separates them from now to their arrival in the Likatonian market, the Ward Financial Holdings' Group would be creating a division specialized in Seleyan affairs before its move to Likatonia.
In reaction to these news, other financial corporations have announced their intentions of creating their own division headquarters in Seleya, with the Martwick-Alchester Banking Corporation (MABC) announcing that they would be opening one in Mordusia and Cullsworth Finance Inc. announcing their theirs would be located in Ciudad de Gadur.
Amids the bad day of the FWSE, these companies' values have only increased, thanks to renewed investors' confidence in their abilities.

Fort William Stock Exchange sees worst day since the Lost Souls War; amids announcement of Kalistani embargo.
7th, June 5571
Fort William - Worrying news are coming out right now from the main Luthorian stock exchange, as it seems that the Fort William Stock Exchange, deep down in the City of Fort William, has seen its worst day ever since the outbreak of the Lost Souls War. Something that has never happened during this century of relative economic stability. The President of the Fort William Stock Exchange, Lydia Meyers announced publicly that it was "the worse day in this century" for the Fort William Stock Exchange. The cause of this effective downturn from the Stock Exchange comes from an external factor, the unexpected announcement from the Kalistani Government than an embargo was being enacted upon the Luthorian Empire and all Seleyan member states of the Commonwealth.
This surprising announcement wasn't even expected by most analysts who thought that the announcement from the Martwick-Alchester Banking Corporation about the establishment of a new headquarters in Seleya would have gone unnoticed, as it has been traditionally the case with announcements from the Luthorian banking sector. The Governor of the Bank of Luthori pointed out the “weirdness” of the situation, where Kalistan suddenly has gone mad over the establishment of a simple division headquarters of a financial company in Seleya. He has predicted that the current trend in Luthorian economic growth may be able to take up this day, but growth predictions are likely to be significantly reduced, as while Luthori has reduced trade relations with Kalistan due to a fallout of relations which begun a while ago, Luthori would still be hit negatively by this Crisis.
The Office of the Prime Minister stated that Prime Minister Carrington would be addressing the nation through Parliament very soon, coming into power with a reputation of being a “hawkish” Prime Minister for the nation, Mr. Carrington’s address is expected to be very solemn, with the Prime Minister expected to invoke the Enemies of the State Act in regards to the recent Kalistani Acts of Aggressions against the Luthorian Empire and its allies.
The recent Luthorian efforts to diversify its trade relationship out from traditional partners in either Kalistan (before the fall-out), Aldegar towards new economic partners may be the best way to at least make some damage control to the economy when the ripple effect from this day will come into the Luthorian economy itself. The Prime Minister, out of his politics, vowed to support Luthorian businesses who find themselves to be in difficulty, but also called for “responsibility” coming from the part of the corporations. He stated that the Government isn’t “a money breeder” who will always “be there for you when you find yourself in difficulty”. This may lead towards a reduction of government interventions to save failing businesses.
This isn’t a good call for the now-majority Tory Party, who was today planning to introduce a vast legislative package concerning economic liberalization, with the Cryptocurrency Allowance and Deregulations Bill, the Tax Exemption Act and other similar, yet smaller bills. This Crisis may sound like a delay, at the bare minimum of these bills.
As of now, the Fort William Stock Exchange didn't close down for now, yet analysts are predicting with the current of value being situated at around 3.41%, that the day would end with an overall loss of value of the Stock Exchange of around 5%. Depending on the Prime Minister's Address to Parliament tommorow, this number may be catched up during the following months, if the Prime Minister's Speech was convincing enough to investors.

Conservative Victory; PM Carrington announces liberalization efforts.
11th, February 5574
![[Image: photography-account-p1U7YOMU_Mo-unsplash-1-1024x569.jpg]](https://www.walks.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/photography-account-p1U7YOMU_Mo-unsplash-1-1024x569.jpg)
Fort William, Luthori: In the aftermath of Mr. Carrington’s shocking electoral victory, which saw the Conservative Party increase its majority in both the Imperial Diet and Imperial Senate, Mr. Carrington was today re-appointed by Her Majesty the Empress to form an administration in Her name to govern the nation. After having been sworn-in as Prime Minister for the second time by the Sovereign, the Head of Government went to 10 Crown Street to address his remarks on his nomination, and what entails Luthori with a Tory-dominated Government at its helm. After securing a “Peace with Honour” as Luthorian papers dubbed it, with Kalistan, Mr. Carrington called an early election thanks to his foreign policy achievements having resonated with voters, who, in turn, voted for the man who seemed best suited to represent their interests at the international scene, with in truth, this “Peace Agreement” as Tory-backed media such as the Weekly Telegraph dubbed it was merely a political capitulation from the Prime Minister against Kalistani imperialism. The First Lord of the Treasury’s Address was short, yet somewhat significant, as he here directly went against the Post-Crisis Consensus that the economy should be regulated to a certain extent and that the Federal Government had a role to play in it. While he didn’t necessarily went against these concepts, he repeatedly cited Liberal thinkers during his speech, such as William Stawborne, an XVIIth century philosopher widely considered to be the “Father” of modern classical liberal thought and ideology, with his ideology of “laissez-faire”, backed by many of his creation such as the Wealth of Nations, which is today considered to be the “backbone of free-market capitalism”. Political analysts saw the mention of Mr. Stawborne’s works in the development of the liberal economic thought as a way for the Prime Minister to announce his intention of conducting “wide-spreading” liberal reforms to the Luthorian economy, as a way to make it more comparable to what the liberal thinkers were thinking at the time. Mr. Carrington has indeed announced his intention of conducting “liberalisation efforts” of the Luthorian economy, as a means to continue growing the Luthorian economy, which is in a state of continued stagnation ever since the fallout coming from the Kalistani embargo. The First Lord of the Treasury announced that these “liberalisation efforts” would be spread out during his term, as he plans to continue the efforts enacting by the previous Labour administration, but will also speed up efforts for liberalisation, as he dubbed the Luthorian economic system to be quite “ineffective”, he also vowed to increase the government’s will to decrease its influence in favour of other duchies’ administration. This stance was welcomed by the provincial governments as it seems that for the first time in a long one, a hardline federalist was in power in Fort William. Some provinces released congratulatory statements to the new administration, hoping to foster a good relationship to realise the federalist agenda that the Prime Minister has vowed to do so.
Mr. Carrington, in his new administration, announced that Mr. Oliver was going to become Chancellor of the Exchequer, becoming the main protagonist behind Mr. Carrington’s economic views and policy. Mr. Oliver is considered to be “more liberal than the Liberals”, as he has expressed support for the libertarian views, who calls for minimal or even no government intervention or involvement into the economy. His appointment in 11 Crown Street seems to be a clear message of the government’s intent with the Luthorian economy, that of removing all state intervention in the economy. While his appointment was applauded by many Liberal economists such as Keith Douglas or Stephen Harper, who dubbed this nomination as the “beginning of a liberal revolution” in our economic system. More left-leaning or traditional rightist economists expressed worries about Mr. Oliver’s appointment as they consider him to be “too radical to conduct any reforms to the economy”, they have sent open letters at the direction of the Prime Minister through Luthorian papers, calling him to scale back the Chancellor’s prerogatives over the Luthorian economy. They predict that if Mr. Oliver is allowed to have full control over the Luthorian economy through the Office of the Chancellor of the Exchequer, the economy would collapse due to sheer “incompetence” and “radical ideas” according to them. In contrast, Mr. Oliver vowed to apply the Prime Minister’s economic plans and policy “with the best of his abilities”, and has already vowed to make the Luthorian economy “greater than it has ever been”. Mr. Oliver’s ideas have already worried the manufacturing sector, as his ideas were that the Luthorian economy should transition towards a full-on service-based economy, these ideas are held by him in order to “destroy the power of the unions in the realm”, as he stated in his book, The Future of Luthori. It should be noted that Mr. Oliver’s relationship with the unions is a continuation of Mr. Carrington’s relationship with the unions, that being said, a terrible one. The unions are wary of the Government’s free-market ideology and are worried about the future of Luthorian manufacturing with this new administration, whose members of the likes of Mr. Oliver has called for its dismantlement to contain and restrain the power of the unions, on the other hand, the Government is worried about union power and their ability to conduct strikes against their economically liberal policies, but it should be noted that the powers of the unions gradually decreased over the years.
Regardless of the administration’s policy against unions, the Prime Minister and Chancellor of the Exchequer announced that they would introduce three Acts, each of them focused around the liberalisation of Luthori’s economy. As a first measure towards the corporatisation of state-owned companies, the Government will announce in 3 months, the Imperial Oil Company (Luthori Petroleum)’s shares would be sold. Crown Street announced that about 15% of Government's shares would be sold, bringing the Government’s control over the IOC to about 64.5 %.

Government Introduces “De-Regulation” Reforms to Parliament
17th, March 5574
![[Image: westminster-parliament-river-1504x846px....k=zl4wBtfY]](https://www.instituteforgovernment.org.uk/sites/default/files/styles/og_image/public/2022-12/westminster-parliament-river-1504x846px.jpg?itok=zl4wBtfY)
Fort William - After his second inaugural address, Prime Minister Carrington alongside his Cabinet didn’t lose any time working on their promises of liberalisation of the Luthorian economy. The Prime Minister stated that it was the “main goal of the ministry” during an interview with the Luthorian Broadcasting Corporation, whom during his campaign, he had repeatedly called to privatise as well. The Prime Minister stated that the well-being of Luthorians will always be his priority, as such as he laid down his objectives, he wished for the Luthorian economy to be more liberalised so that the State could focus itself on the well-being of its citizens. He stated that the system of “Luthorian Capitalism” had failed to provide such well-being, as he pointed out that the Luthorian economy was now in stagnation due to this policy.
He defended his policy arguments by stating that Luthori was always naturally an export-driven economy, driven by the exportations either coming from its industrial or tertiary economic base, Mr. Carrington tasked the Chancellor of the Exchequer with the writing of three Bills which would be introduced to the People’s House, the Parliament of the Luthorian Empire. These three Bills are considered to be the first step in the Prime Minister’s agenda of reforming and liberalising the economy.
The first Bill that was introduced to the Committee for Economic Affairs of the Imperial Diet was the Luthori Petroleum (Partial Divestiture) Act, 5574. This Act is centred around the partial privatisation of the Imperial Oil Company, which is considered to be the Government’s first great test in Parliament and a test for the rest of market liberal reforms. This Act is planning to reduce the current involvement of the Luthorian Government from 90 % to 64.5 %, this Act in turn plans to allow the Federal Government to sell 15 % of its shares of this company to inside or outside private individuals or groups. This Act is supported by the Government and nominally, the Conservative Party, but splits in the Prime Minister’s Party seems to be rising, as some MPs are becoming less appealing to vote for the Prime Minister’s liberal agenda, especially Reformist or One-Nation Conservatives. Mr. Bishop, MD for the Northriding Grand Duchy vocally supported this Bill, with a speech in the Committee, defending the Prime Minister’s agenda and policies.
Quote:“It is rare to see such a man at the helm of our Government. It is rare to see such a personality leading our country. The sole time that we may all remember such a personality running our Government, it was either Sir Seward Asters, the Lord Rosemary, the Lady Hayden, all these names resonate within this Right Honourable Parliament as examples to follow, names that are written in stone as the “greatest statesman and stateswomen this country has to offer” in history books. [...] When faced with critics, they never backed off from what they felt was right for this nation and I think that the Prime Minister is as well one of them. Today, we are faced with a Crisis. While it’s not one that is of great interest to most of the public, everyone here knows that Luthori is in stagnation. Our economy isn’t rising as it was beforehand. These aren’t simply “Lost Decades”, this is a Lost Century. Today, we need, more than ever, to face this Crisis head on. That is why this Bill, the Luthori Petroleum Act is necessary, alongside, all other Bills that this Cabinet will put forward in the economic field. [...] It is necessary for this Nation to pass by this stagnation period and go back to the period of economic growth that we’ve seen in the past.”
The second Bill, which is the Banking (Confidentiality and Privacy Protections) Act, 5574, seeks to implement a system akin to complete bank secrecy, as in the Luthorian Government would no longer ask the banking corporations to give away all informations on a customers’ bank account to them, instead, the Government would no longer ask for such informations, except needed, and if that is the case, the Federal Government would need to pass by an order from the Department of Justice or the Office of the Lord Chancellor itself to have such informations. This Bill is also meant to inspire responsibility to bankers and banking officials to report suspicious accounts on their own, to avoid some troublesome bad publicity with that Order being enacted against them.
Finally, the Digital Currencies (Regulation and Market Access) Act, 5574 is the last Bill which has been sent to Committee, this Bill is planned to become the main factor in liberalising the cryptocurrency market, which has underdeveloped compared to other parts of the world or in the world itself, this kind of currency has been underdeveloped. Mr. Carrington came into power being backed by technological giants and blue-collar people, he repeatedly supported the enactment of bills which would decrease the Government’s power over the formation and regulations of cryptocurrencies. With these Bills, it’s normal to expect that the Fort William Stock Market went overdrive today, with investors and companies alike seeing their shares’ prices rapidly increasing as the day went on. With the biggest winner being BlackIce, a tech giant which would be greatly boosted thanks to these reforms.
With the FWSE seeing good results, it seems that other stock markets related to the FWSE may see an increase as well.

Opposition Passes Amendments to IOC Act; Tory Party splits during vote.
11th, May 5574
![[Image: Chamber-House-of-Lords-Houses-Parliament-London.jpg]](https://cdn.britannica.com/23/99523-050-E1D6A54C/Chamber-House-of-Lords-Houses-Parliament-London.jpg)
Fort William - Following an highly intense and controversial vote in the Imperial Senate, the Amendments proposed by the Unionist League’s Parliamentary Caucus have been passed and added to the Imperial Oil Company Act, 5574. These amendments were proposed by the Unionist League in the aftermath of Mark Ananto-Orléans’s proposal in regards to the shares that would be sold by the Government in the immediate aftermath of this Act’s passing. This controversial proposal, which would, in theory, give Kalistan control over 15 % of the Imperial Oil Company drew significant concerns in Parliament, with many politicians from either the National Labour Party, the Unionist League or the Conservative Party itself, accusing the Prime Minister of “selling his country” to foreigners by allowing any foreign part of putting forward such an offer. Due to increasing pressure from both his Government and his own Party, the Prime Minister allowed for the amendments put forward by the nationalist Unionist League which seeked to protect the interest of Luthori and her companies above all else.
This amendment, which was put forward in the Select Committee for Economic Affairs of the Imperial Diet, seeked to create a new article which would focus on the status of all shares that would be sold by the Government, and would act in a way that Luthorian companies were deliberately favoured over foreign corporations. This amendment would also entail that foreign corporations would only be able to own only up to 10 % of the IOC, and only be able to buy up to 3 % of the Imperial Oil Company’s shares which are currently being put to sell by the Federal Government through this Bill. As stated earlier, this amendment was passed with many support coming from different groups in the Imperial Parliament, the National Labour Party, the One-Nation and Reformist wings of the Conservative Party, the Unionist League, only the Liberal Party and the Conservative Party (Free-Market) opposed this amendment, with MD Howard Seymour stating that “this would only bring ruin and hinder possibilities of foreign investments in an economy that we are trying to liberalise.”
With that amendment passed, nothing remained in the way of the Prime Minister to push for the Bill’s passing in Parliament, and as the last remaining controversial point was dealt with, the Leader of the Imperial Diet, Bill Howard announced that the Imperial Oil Company Act would be submitted to a vote of Parliament. The results coming out of this vote were the same as the one for the Banking Act and the Cryptocurrency Act, one being of narrow approval from Members of Parliament, with many remaining suspicious of the Government’s attempt of liberalising the Luthorian economic system. With that done, the Government has begun the process of selling away the 15 % shares that have been promised, with numerous investors, foreign or domestic, making their way to at least take a part in what is considered to be, one of the world’s largest oil companies.
With this new amendment to the original Act, Luthorian companies are considered to be “advantaged” by the Government, with numerous financial or shipping companies considering investing some of their wealth into buying shares for the Imperial Oil Company. Some economists have considered this to be “disloyal”, yet others have pointed out to Mr. Ananto-Orléans’ statements, which seems to be deliberately trying to hinder off other companies’ chances at receiving some parts of the Imperial Oil juggernaut, by deliberately trying to impress by announcing that they were willing to buy these stakes for “billions”, something that nationalists couldn’t stand, adding to this, it seems that the Kalistanis seems to have view to obtain a majority stake in the IOC, which is for now, forbidden by Luthorian law and this Act reaffirmed this precedent.

Watford Renames as “BlueLock”, interested in becoming a wider tech giant.
September 5574
![[Image: microsoft-deutschland-zentrale-projects-...rcit18.jpg]](https://image.architonic.com/prj2-3/5104765/microsoft-deutschland-zentrale-projects-01-titel-arcit18.jpg)
Fort William - Today afternoon, it was announced by the Watford Electronic Company or WEC for short, that a “total rebranding” of their company’s image, the Watford Electronic Company announced that their company’s name would be changed to “BlueLock Electronics”. This name was chosen after a meeting of the WEC’s main shareholders, as an agreement was reached during this meeting about a rebranding and a transformation of the company’s overall core objectives and subjects of interests. Ever since its foundation, the Watford Electronic Company has been considered as being an electronic hardware company, producing electronic hardware goods such as computers, laptops or phones as well. Yet, for all intents and purposes, the Watford Electronic Company preferred to work with foreign, developed software industries, such as the one present in Beiteynu. But, it should be noted that the rising trend of Luthorian economic nationalism isn’t only present in Parliament, but also in the Luthorian corporation sector, which is now more interested into developing underdeveloped sectors in the Luthorian economy, such as the Luthorian software industry, which is underdeveloped compared to its counterpart in Beiteynu or even the Kingdom of Hutori.
In light of this underdevelopment, the ‘BlackIce’ rebranding is considered to be a message for increasing efforts into the development of the Luthorian technological industry, as the company announced that they were “considering” the creation of an investment fund destined to help either struggling or rising startups to begin developing some sort of cooperation between BlackIce and them, as the company is trying to become less reliant on the Beiteynuese software industry.
Mr. Andrew Clark, COO of BlackIce stated that “these changes were necessary, as the company’s views begin to shift”, mentioning the fact that the company has begun a transition from traditional hardware production towards a more generic technological company, with a division on software development being created, on software development, it is also considered to be a fact that BlueLock’s investments into developing and upstating startups are a mean to secure control over these developing corporations to, later, integrate them into the BlackIce’s framework.
While for now, the Government is expected to refuse any direct investments into the sector, whispers are appearing in Parliament calling the Chancellor of the Exchequer to conduct state-led investments into the hardware and software electronic sectors, to build a domestic electronic industry based around these two sectors, and while the hardware industry is already renowned around the World as being one of the “finest”, BlackIce quasi-monopoly on the market is worrying as the company is without direct competitors and is considered to be “too big to fail”, some voice have begun to call for the break up of the company into smaller entities that would be able to compete with each other more fairly.

BlueLock Electronics confirms partnership with Hallowsoft.
March 5575
Fort William - Amids the current “restructuring” of the company, BlueLock Electronics has announced that they’ve “happily” found an agreement for a decade-long partnership with Luthorian software company, Hallowsoft LTD. This agreement comes as no surprise as the hardware company had announced its intention to “look inwards” to find new partners for its software department, rather than outwards. BlueLock’s Chief Operations Officer (COO) Andrew Clark was reported to be “highly pleased” with the outcome of negotiations, which would add another software company as a partner to BlueLock. Mr. Clark, after his appointment by the main shareholders of the formerly-known Watford Electronic Company (WEC), stated that the company was “in decline”, due to a lack of resolve, progress and expansion. By this deal, he hopes that all three “great flaws” of the BlueLock company could be solved.
This deal is also advantageous for the company with whom BlueLock Electronics is associating with, Hallowsoft. This company which was formerly unknown to most of the public, has now seen great publicity for them since they’ve officially announced partnering with BlueLock Electronics. The Fort William Stock Exchange saw a great boost for the stock of all these software companies. Hallowsoft was one of these beneficiaries, but also other software companies saw a great boost in the price of their stocks in the Fort William Stock Exchange, with some seeing their stock price rising by 30 % in this single day. It is safe to admit that this partnership greatly helped the software industry.
While all of this is fine, there is still a lack of experience of the Luthorian software industry compared to its foreign counterpart, yet a large sway of this comes from the lack of software engineers in Luthori, which is, again, due to a lack of interest in the profession. Yet, sources coming from the University of Fort William may suggest that this problem may soon be overturned, as more Luthorian students entering university may have suddenly found themselves in a class to, one day, become software engineers themselves.
With this new collaboration being secured, both companies have announced working on a new project, a new computer that would be announced in 3 years from now, and with MicroLTD, BlueLock and Hallowsoft working together on this project. While BlueLock would be focused around the creation of the computer itself, as its specialisation into the production of hardware leans into, both MicroLTD and BlueLock would collaborate on the creation of a processor that would be powerful enough to outpace their competitors either in the domestic front (Invergn) or foreign competitors as well.

Commonwealth SG calls for extraordinary meeting of Commonwealth HoGs.
April 5578
Fort William - Commonwealth Acting Secretary-General, Jeremy Clarkson confirmed during a press conference that all members of the Commonwealth have been summoned by his Office for an extraordinary meeting being held at Randworth, Commonwealth of Mordusia. Mr. Clarkson effectively validated numerous rumours which were emerging either in the social media or the press. The Mordusian, Hutorian, Luthorian, Rutanian Prime Ministers alongside the Likatonian President were all notified of the upcoming conference in Randworth. Mr. Clarkson’s meeting couldn’t have come at a more opportune moment, as back in Likatonia, their Government succeeded in passing the necessary agreements for joining the Commonwealth and they’ve begun participating fully in the Commonwealth’s apparatus.
Prime Minister Carrington has not yet reacted to the announcement of this emergency meeting of all Head of Governments of the Commonwealth, but Bismarck Palace seems to have reacted positively to the news, as their issued statement, surprisingly positive about such developments make seems. In Fort William, the Luthorian Prime Minister has been confirmed to be present at this Conference, where, according to his entourage, he looks “eager” to meet his fellow Luthorian-speaking leaders and look towards a way to act as per the Secretary-General’s wishes.
Speaking of this meeting, it seems that this meeting was triggered by the entry of Likatonia into the Commonwealth framework, which has been stated to have been the case for years now, but this hasn’t been made official by the Likatonian Congress, which voted some months ago, at the unanimity, that Likatonia was a member of the Commonwealth by ratifying the treaty, a necessary step after signing one, that is the cause of the calling of this meeting, yet, the discussion platform wasn’t even known to all Commonwealth governments before the Secretary-General’s Office sent them a memorandum about the focus of this Year’s Meeting in Randorth.
According to the memo, the meeting is focused around the primary subject of defining and reforming the Commonwealth framework, by expanding its agencies and capabilities, and also by allowing it to run independently from any of the governments forming this organization, by empowering and changing the working manner of the Council of Ambassadors, and by creating a council where all Heads of Governments and Head of State of the Commonwealth could frequently meet to discuss when needed, but with administrative and day-to-day governance of the organization being handled by the Secretary-General and this expanded Council of Ambassadors.
Randworth is excepted is release a small statement in regards to the announcement of the location of this Conference, the Mordusian capital is likely to prepare itself for the big diplomatic event, which would cement Mordusia’s place as a rising power in the Luthorian-speaking World, but the Office of the Secretary-General of the Commonwealth stated that they would “open up contacts” with the Mordusian Federal Government to “look upon” the details of this conference, which is expected to begin in 2 years from now.
The Commonwealth is expected to change its policy after this conference, and it'll be interesting to look upon which policy the Commonwealth would be headed to by its member states, especially the Luthorian Empire. Prime Minister Carrington and His Cabinet were silent upon the Commonwealth framework, yet the Conservative Party is likely to remain steadily "Pro-Commonwealth", like the National Labour Party is.
