Technology Investigations
"Investigations will be beneficial to education in Kalistan"

Since our nomination to the science and technology office, we, the LWPoK, have done investigations to find new ways to advance our technology here in Kalistan.

So far we have investigated to the point where we now have blueprints needed to build futuristic technology which can help in government investigations, military ops and education.

Right now we have a blueprint for education that can be worn on the head to project curriculum in a way that young students will understand. We cannot provide the blueprints now, but sometime soon we will have a prototype for trying.

If this technology device design works how we hope it will, it will be beneficial to education everywhere in Kalistan.

With the release of the full Kalistan File from the Vanukese Government putting the final punctuation onto the age old feud, The Kalistani Foreign Minister announced that a potential arms sale will be moving through that will dramatically alter the character of the Kalistani Military.

A short statement from the Foreign Minister announced: "We welcome the declassified documents provided by the Prefect of Vanuku.  The documents filled in all the gaps of the puzzle which confounded good relations for centuries.  The President's soul can now rest easily, knowing that the story of her demise is finally and completely told.  In addition, we can confirm that we are working with representatives of the Vanukese Government and representatives from Vanuku's large arms manufacturers on a deal for more than 130 Billion KBR in weapons and services.  We have completely overestimated the cost of procurement of weapons  We are working out the final details, but will have more information for the press soon."

The final terms of the deal are expected to be reached within the next three months.  And not a moment too soon, as back home, Kalistan sinks closer toward war with Lourenne.

(OOC:  I will be rebuilding Kalistan's military along the lines of Peru's military.  Not one of the great powers, but regionally, one of the more important militaries along the South American coast.)

The Kalistani Government today called for a second round of Nationalization.  The Bill, the KALMILINCO Charter, specifically nationalizes 9 weapons and logistics firms operating in Kalistan, reorganizes them under a single conglomerate and puts the Government at the head of these firms.  "The Goal," Premier of the Republic Dianne Carrangus explained, "is to have supply when we need supply.  One of the things that has been slowing down our production of naval and ground weaponry is that we have the ability to construct the hulls of the ships at the Naval Ship Yard, but we have to buy the guns, the electronics, the radar, the radios, the bunks and the chow from private firms.  Since nationalization began, prices have predictably gone up.  So the goal of this nationalization is simply to cut out the middle man.  And when our Navy is up to speed, this institution, like the other, can produce goods and services for the international Market which Kalistan will happily export.  But we need to make this stuff in house rather than rely on contracts and the capricious nature of the private market."

Investors of the expropriation will receive bonds for 80% of the face value of their interests in the companies listed, or may trade their old stock in at a rate of three old to one new.  As in other nationalized operations, the Kalistani Government will own 51% of the stock and is forbidden from selling below that interest unless it seeks to liquidate the company all together.  Publicly available stock will become available when the bill passes.

The Bill is fully expected to pass within 9 months.

Foreign Minister Williams puts Final touches on Arms agreement

The Kalistani Foreign Minister completed his mission to Vanuku today with the inking of a major Arms purchase, aimed at rebuilding and modernizing the Kalistani Military.  Vanuku will supply ships, tanks, aircraft, and small arms to Kalistan for just under 133 Billion KRB.  The purchases were based upon the Kalistani Military audit completed before Williams' Departure and aim to completely supply the needs of Kalistan.

The deal was between the Kalistani Government and the Vanukean Government acting as an agent for the heavily subsidized Weapons industries in Vanuku.  Shipyard Havendam and its subsidiaries will build the ships ordered by the Kalistani Government.  Arms supplier Royal Kremj will produce tanks and infantry vehicles.  Wrnukaék Tanhri will produce all aircraft for the Republic, and Anz'k Defence will produce the upwards of 100,000 small arms ordered by Williams.  All electronics, firing systems, and avionics will be built by Vanutech Corporation.  The purchases include cruisers, destroyers, frigates, Corvettes, Patrol boats, main battle tanks, armored cars, APCs, fixed and rotor wing aircraft, of both interceptor, CAS, and multipurpose, transport helos, and small arms.  Kalistani weapons industries will continue to produce artillery and logistics and support vehicles, and support craft locally to augment the support elements of the Regular Forces.

All production is expected to be completed within a year and a half, with capital ships arriving by April 4411.  The small arms will begin arriving in Kalistan within 3 Months.

Upon conclusion of talks and direct payment in full for all purchases, Williams thanked Vanukean Leaders for their hard work in putting this deal together, and welcomed Vanukean officials to Kalistan to discuss permanent diplomatic relations and a potentially closer security relationship between the two countries, though discussion of those issues at the moment exceeded his authorized mission. 

Within two hours, Kalistani officials were boarding the long flight for home, grateful for the complete success in all negotiations.  Williams said he looks forward to a long and very close relationship with Vanuku and will be willing to sit down with negotiators at their leisure.

Premier Carrangus addresses Valruzian insults in Kaliburg

Called a "rogue nation" by Valruzian Foreign Minister Pilarczyk, Kalistan's Premier had some choice words to say in response:

"Well, Valruzia can take the Selayan Union and cram it.  We aren't even members of that organization any longer, as it required Kalistan to lend its military in support of any bonkers adventure that the rest of the Continent decided to embark on.  It goes without saying that Kalistan at the moment lacks the capability to live up to the terms of that agreement, but after such vicious comments in their Press the other day, we can add 'will' to the list of things we lack.  Not only is Valruzia responsible for the Selayan Union, which is an organization that does not serve the National interests of Kalistan in the least, but they are also responsible for the deeply offensive Nowogard declaration which places a false equivalent on communist and fascist Parties.  Happily, Valruzia crows about how it is so democratic.  Unlike Kalistan, I suppose, where we have actually fought numerous civil wars against fascist incursions.  Both of those two documents paint Valruzia as the hegemonic imperialist power that Valruzia is, and Kalistan is busy dealing with enough imperialists in Lourenne and Kazulia."

The Premier pointed out that Valruzia feigned indecision over whether to aid Kalistan or whether to aid Kazulia's and Lourenne's attempts to dismember Kalistani National Territory in the name of "their" trade routes.

"They're so torn:  Rogue Kalistan or ultra powerful Northern Council.  Balancing or Bandwagonning.  Hmmmm...  what should they do?  Clearly their choice is already made:  Valruzia claims to support Selayan Union.  And yet it clearly prefers Dovani solidarity.  Well, we welcome them to it.  As long as they keep registering their civilian vessels and using their Transit Passes as they are supposed to within Kalistani Waters, we don't particularly care which foreign overlord's boots they lick."

The Premier was clearly rattled.  When pressed, she released the news of the destruction of the two Kalistani Destroyers, and the loss of several LAFAs due to foreign action on the Northern Limit of the Straits.

"Frustrated?  You can say that!  We mourned the loss last night of 72 sailors and Partisans.  I made 72 phone calls.  three of them were to the same poor mother.  When we closed the Straits, we did so because our security is at risk.  We did so because these nations use our water and our resources as if its theirs, and at the moment, we lack the ability to turn them back.  Can Kalistan hold out for another year and a half?  I'm Confident that if we go down, Kaluzia and Lourenne will bleed with us.  If they pry those straits back open, it will not be easy.  They're going to have to occupy us, because as fast as we can built ships, we're going to harass their convoy routes and their shipping lanes every day until they acknowledge our control of those straits or beat us back into the stone age.  And that's it."

With this, the Premier ended the interview and went into her office, slamming the door behind her.

Shipments of Vanukean Weaponry arrive in Kalistan

For the second time, a large convoy of Vanukean ships arrived at the sleepy port in northern Vrassa today.  This convoy was carrying newly purchased Weaponry from Vanuukean defense industries, and was finally reaching its port of final destination to offload in Kalistan.  All other traffic was denied entrance into the port while the Vanukean ships offloaded their cargo of 50 Helicopters (25 Attack and 25 Transport)  (OOC:  RL Equivalent AH 64 Apache and CH-47 Chinook respectively), 50 Cheetah Mk. IVtanks (OOC:  RL Equivalent Leopard 2) 350 Salient Infantry fighting vehicles (OOC:  RL Equivalent CV90 Combat Vehicles) and 160 Infantry Mobility Vehicles (OOC:  RL Equivalent LGS Fennek). All told, more than 25 Billion KRB in Military equipment has arrived in Kalistan since last November.

Accompanying these ships were 6 new Corvettes, dubbed in Kalistan "Sulari-Class" (OOC:  RL Equivalent Braunschweig Class), which continued on to Port Devon at Kalibug, and joined the 12 new Gallegos-Class Offshore patrol boats (OOC: RL Equivalent Holland Class) and 20 new Eshar-Class Light Patrol Craft (OOC:  RL Equivalent Armidale-Class) which arrived a couple months ago.  These ships will form the mobile section of the new Kalistani Regular Navy. The arrival of the Corvettes signals a change in fortunes for the Kalistani Navy, which has suffered significant losses in recent weeks due to the ongoing conflict over the Ananto Straits.  All remaining purchases from Vanuku are expected within the next year, as Vanukean factories work overtime to fill Kalistani Orders.

Both Defense Minister Santamaria and Foreign Minister Williams were on hand to receive the Military and Naval deliveries.  Williams issued the following statement: "We are greatly satisfied with the Vanukean effort to meet our requests.  This process lays a wonderful foundation for future talks between Kalistan and Vanuku.  We look forward to discussing a security arrangement which will be aimed at free trade, and perhaps a new alliance between our two countries.  Who knows.  Of course, we are open to ideas, especially ones that explicitly balance the growing power of Kazulia and Lourenne in this region of the world.  The Northern Alliance has taken far too many liberties with lands which are not their own, and our hope is that they can be checked from expanding any further.  We hope closer relations with Vanuku will allow Kalistan to take a leading role in that check."

Foreign Minister Williams answers Valruzian attacks with cool resolve

Foreign Minister Orenthal Williams held a brief press conference where he answered yet more provocative attacks in the Valruzian Press.  Below are his comments:

Hello.  Look.  Today, I'm going to go through this sh--  well, this propaganda point by point.  Just so we're all clear about what's going on.  Valruzia keeps making these baseless attacks, and let's just say this:  It is the belief of our government that they are piqued by Kalistan leaving their pet projects the Selayan Union and the Nowogard Agreement where they ignorantly equivocated between communism and fascism.  They may not know it, but I am not the only political theorist in our government.  Let me just say this:  to claim that fascism and communism are the same displays a level of ignorance of the meaning of both of those terms, the level of which should disqualify someone who holds that straight up incorrect belief from ever holding an office of any public trust whatsoever.  Communism, at its heart seeks to put the community in control of its own affairs.  Has it been employed by dictators?  Sure.  Have those dictators corrupted it?  You better believe it.  But the theory of communism is so far from the theory of Fascism, a word with Selucian roots meaning a (tied) bundle of sticks, meaning the dictator unites the people and holds them together to promote the interests of the Leader.  Fascism is individualism, par excellance.  It is the end of Liberalism, which fetishizes the individual over his society.  In other words, the exact opposite of communism, which prioritizes the good of the whole over the good of the one.  Now, Kalistan endorses neither, and anyone who knows anything about ethical socialism knows that.  But people like Valruzia continue to promote this false equivalence, and continue to do damage to the people's understanding of what those words mean.  Why?  I suppose so they can promote pluralism as an alternative to either the subsumation of the individual to the community, or the dominance of the single, strong individual and the subjugation of the entire society to its will.

Moving on.  I shouldn't HAVE to give a lecture on what words mean, but some of these batty nutjobs which pass for a government in Valruzia apparently need it.

1.  "Kalistan is most certainly now a threat."  We are no more of a threat than the foreign navies who currently are attempting to occupy our waters.  The Lourenne Frigate which was destroyed, was sitting spitting distance off Ananto.  They would have gotten closer, but the skipper wisely decided not to run aground on the beach off the Dah Delta.  The Freighter which was destroyed refused to heed Kalistani calls to stop, and we lost two destroyers of the Kalistani Regular Navy in that engagement, as well as Militia craft in both.  All told, Kalistan has suffered the loss of nearly 100 of its men.  So tell us, who is the threat?  Kalistan who is trying to defend its Territorial Waters and its sovereignty, or the powers aligning against us who kill our citizens and sailors by the score?

2.  "they have cut off trade to east Seleya in that region,"  Not so.  According to our order, all civilian traffic needs to register at Port Sweedes, Port Elga or Port Devon and then can freely transit our waters.  A small detour and then they may freely transit.  And those unwilling to do so may still travel around the East side of Ananto, unhindered.  We have not cut anything off, as far as commercial transit is concerned.  What we HAVE opposed is foreign powers using Kalistani Waters to conduct their wars with one another.  We are actually promoting peace by denying foreign military powers the free right of passage that they once enjoyed.  And we would do so if they were attempting to transit our land without adequate permission as well.  To us, it is no difference.  For our security and for the security of others, we will keep the Ananto Straits closed until we have a navy of an adequate size that we can destroy whoever decides to transit those straits with the aim of attacking us.

3.  "and pose the danger of threatening the relatively peaceful nation of Indrala, who also boast an incredibly robust economy."  We have done no such thing.  We sent a telegram to Indrala, our old allies, to inform them of our intent to close the Straits.  They never responded, so that was the last thing Kalistan ever said to or about Indrala up to this very moment.  We have not been attacked, nor have we attacked any Indralan shipping, and as a matter of fact, due to our historical relations with Indrala following the Ananto War, where Kalistan was actually invaded by Indrala, we would have been willing to grant a blanket waiver to Indrala.  They never got back to us, so we haven't had any further discussions with them.  But under no circumstances do we wish to threaten a country which has leveled our capital once in the past.

4.  "The 'Republic' of Kalistan is quickly becoming a threat to Seleyan stability and international peace." The only threat we are becoming is to the imperial designs of The Northern Alliance, its client state in Lourenne, and the 'republic' of Valruzia whose imperialist designs are showing everytime it utters the word Kalistan.  People like Valruzia don't like Kalistan standing up for itself.  They probably will not like the fact that within  two months, the final shipment of Kalistan's navy will arrive from Vanuku, and we will launch 2 Cruisers and 8 Destroyers into the Ananto Straits.  Kalistan has stood up, and we no longer need guidance from the 'republic' of Valruzia, who daily acts more and more like an Empire.  Without the quotes.

5.  "which ultimately boiled down to sanctions and an embargo on certain types of Kalistani goods."  As Kalistan has no formal trading relationship with Valruzia, let us remind you that embargoes and sanctions do not stop the smuggling of ODEN products into any nation in the world.  In Kalistan, drugs of all types are legal.  We are pleased that Valruzia shares our sentiments toward the chemicals.  But when you put sanctions on Kalistan, rest assured, our national products will nonetheless continue to arrive in your streets.  Your own people will negate whatever sanctions you put on Kalistan.  Have faith.  We'll do just fine, thanks largely to the good smokers of Valruzia.  Look:  If you want to trade with us, why not join ODEN?  It is a great organization, and at least then we can do everything above board.  Furthermore, the things your sanctions embargo to Kalistan are things we make in Kalistan already.  Perhaps you have not read our laws, but those are not things we import anyway.  You are wasting your members' time and efforts.  And as far as refugees leaving Kalistan for other nations:  We welcome that.  Our borders remain open, and if they want to leave, we certainly do not stop them.  Additionally, we will not be enforcing any of your travel bans, and all nations which expel our diplomats will have their embassies seized and their diplomats will lose all status as such.  We shall do to others as they do to us.  And the Government of Kalistan will have no compunction in returning any insult of this nature.  However, last time we checked, our diplomatic missions in this world are few and far between.  SO, its not much of a worry for our government.

6.  "When we want Kalistan to be alone, I mean it."  Then you, alone, shall necessarily need to enforce it, yourself.

7.  "This treaty will show them what it means to defy international stability, as well as fall into totalitarianism."  We have not threatened international stability.  We are merely defending our legitimate national interests.  It is very telling that while Valruzia chooses to ignore another country's sovereignty, she also speaks of threatening international stability, and at the same time, of joining a hostile, hegemonic and imperialistic alliance that unnecessarily bullies small, and at the time defenseless nations like Kalistan, while similarly arming puppet states like Lourenne to the teeth so it can help that hegemonic state threaten places like Kalistan.  If Valruzia is so interested in international stability, it is the hegemonic sort that it is looking to as its model.  One that we oppose, and will continue to oppose as long as we are able.  Perhaps Valruzia is willing to become yet another puppet regime of a global power, but Kalistan is most certainly not.  Unlike Valruzia, we are apparently willing to not let others chart our course and force us to bow to their strategic needs.  Its why we left the Selayan alliance:  We do not engage in mutual security arrangements, and whoever signed that treaty for Kalistan did so in error.  I think this is what has got Valruzia so up in arms:  That we dared to chart our own course, rather than let it be decided by a state which is seeing how much of the Kazulian boot it can lick before having its face stomped in.

We will not comment again on any Valruzian action or comments unless Valruzia informs Kalistan that they too have decided to set a course independent from the Northern Council's dictates.  Only when Valruzia grows a spine and starts acting like an independent nation instead of a sycophant colony do they even deserve our attention.  Good luck to them and their embargo.  They ships and official personnel are hereby deemed personna non grata in Kalistani Land, Sea or Air, and we will work with the Government of Kalistan to physically eject each and every last one of them from the Country by the shortest route possible, even if it means out into the Ananto Straits, which they seem to deem fit to claim is theirs anyway.

With that, FM Williams announced an official proclamation from the President and Premier declaring all Valruzian officials are officially to be taken into custody and expelled from Kalistan.  According to the proclamation, no Valruzian will be injured if he does not resist arrest, nor will they be incarcerated, but they will be loaded onto a neutral cargo ship to be directly deported to Kazulia.  "Let's see if their new Masters want to look after them."  Arrests were made throughout the night, as Valruzian officials suddenly became the first deportees since the Socialist Party took power five years ago.

The Refitting of the Kalistani Military is officially complete.  The Kalistani Defense Minister, Philando Santamaria, reported that the last of purchased items from Vanuku's recent sale to Kalistan arrived in port at the end of February, exactly on schedule.

The Defense Minister was ebullient in his praise of Vanuku's work.  "We wish to thank the Vanukean firms responsible for filling our orders, on time and in exceptional quality.  We understand that Vanuku is currently engaged in a major conflict in Jelbania, but under no circumstances did they let Kalistan down.  Their industries fulfill their contracts on time, and their production is excellent.  We have had opportunity to inspect every piece of gear that they have sent us, and we find no flaws with any of it.  Reliability and excellence in production:  No higher praise can be offered to a country by its businesses.  Vanuku should be proud, and we are thrilled that they chose to sell to us."


The First of the new Kalistani Destroyers begin arriving from Vanuku in mid-February.

In addition to weapons that arrived last year, Kalistan now adds the following systems to its arsenal:

8 anti-submarine destroyers, dubbed the Kaliburg-Class  (RL Equivalent:  Arleigh Burke-class)  7 of which will see immediate sea service, the eighth, the KRS-69, which will be studied and reverse engineered from top to bottom, and shall have blue prints made of it to begin construction of more just like it at the ship yards,

2 Guided Missile Cruisers, Dubbed the Luxon-Class (RL Equivalent: the Ticonderoga Class Cruiser), 1 of which will see immediate service, and the second of which, KRS 71, which will be studied for a year before being launched, so that Kalistan may draw up blueprints of the ship and begin manufacturing them at the ship yards.

12 Attack Submarines, dubbed Victor-Class (RL equivalent:  Walrus Class Submarine)

2 Multipurpose Frigates dubbed the Daniel Guzman-Class  (RL Equivalent:  The Karel Doorman-Class Frigate)

10 Air Defense and Command Frigates dubbed the Ontiveros-Class (RL Equivalent:  De Zevon Class Frigate)

30 Multi-purpose Jet Fighters Dubbed "Tornado" in Kalistan (RL Equivalent: The Typhoon Fighter)

30 Interceptor Class Fighters, Dubbed the "Dust Devil" in Kalistan (RL Equivalent, the F-14 Tomcat)

45 Close Air Support Fighters, dubbed "Smoke Monster" in Kalistan (RL Equivalent:  SU-25 Fighter)

All ships and weaponry will be listed in an official Kalistani Military Registry, and have been commissioned and launched in Service.

Kalistan is thankfully no longer Defenseless.  All Commissioned ships will immediately begin patrol duty on the Northern and Southern Limits of the Ananto Straits.

Kalistani Defense Minister Philando Santamaria announces plans to build new Kalistani Multipurpose Base on Bozo River in Ananto

Kazulia has engaged in what Defense Minister Santamaria has referred to as a "grand arc of hypocrisy" over the Ananto Straits issue.  In prepared statements, the Defense minister responded.

"We would confirm that several members of the Kalistani Regular Navy have been captured on the high seas by the Kazulian Navy.  All sailors have been ordered to cooperate fully, within the bounds of international law, with their captors.  They will give their name, ranks and serial numbers and nothing more.

As for the violation of our National territory, we would like to merely correct the record.  The Lourenne Frigate was not destroyed in the Straits, as the Kazulians claimed, but off Ananto's East Coast, where there is no prohibition of travel, except within the internationally recognized National Waters of Kalistan.  That Frigate was sunk there because it was well within Kalistani Waters, as recognized even by your precious Law of the Sea, and so to defend such a blatent and unequivocal violation of sovereignty puts Kazulia on the wrong side of the international law debate.

Which brings us to our third point.  As they don't respect ANY claim of Kalistani sovereignty, under what right do they have to appeal to International Law when they are destroying Kalistani Shops and killing Kalistani Sailors?  They most certainly find themselves upon a grand arc of hypocrisy when they complain about Kalistan closing the Ananto Strait until the security dilemma caused by Kazulia's arming of our neighbors is resolved, while at the same time, promising to interrupting Vanukean ships on the high seas.  Need I remind Kazulia that no official state of war exists between our two nations.  Why a neutral third Party's ships should be molested on the high seas is beyond us, and yet, here is Kazulia's promise.  We take them at their word:  We believe they will, because while the mock Kalistan's historical claims, they themselves declare themselves the policemen of ALL the seas.  It is a hard thing to make that contradiction in logic close, even for so craven an imperialist power like Kazulia."

The Defense Minister then announced plans for a new Naval Base in North Eastern Ananto.

"Given our new navy and basing needs, as well as a desire to continue to build more ships, Kalistan will build a new Naval, Air and Ground base in Northeastern Ananto, :along the Bozo River.  This river, which provides a deep harbor flows through a part of the island which is sparsely populated and quite remote-  The only individual property up there are a few isolated vacation homes and fishing docks.  The proposed base will cover more than 1400 square miles, it will contain a new Naval Ship yard with drydock and refitting facilities, a refueling depot. It will contain an airstrip capable of servicing military and civilian jets.  And it will contain the largest training area in Kalistan, with hundreds of square miles, including flatlands, valleys and foothills for maneuver and live fire.  The Bozo River facility will be the pre-eminent training center in the region.  Mainside will be a veritable city, capable of hosting visiting training elements from across the world, and will serve as the new Headquarters for the Kalistani Regular Navy.  Additionally, the Bozo River facility will give Kalistan eyes on and direct access to the Anantonese Ocean that we lost when Eavari and its archaic deepwater naval base was destroyed in the War."

The Minister gave few additional details, other than to say that Construction was already underway.

Construction of the new Bozo River naval facility is moving swimmingly along.  Naval engineers associated with the Kalistani National Ship Yard at Kaliburg have overseen a channel widening and deepening project of the tidal Estuary of the Bozo River.  This week, engineers announced that they had deepened the river channel from 39 feet to 50 feet, and have stabilized the shoreline with hundreds of tons of boulders and debris.  Additionally, they have deepened the port itself to a distance of 75 feet to shore to a depth of 60 feet.  Because of this, ships will be able to dock off shore and use shuttles to get into land as the Jetty is built, and smaller supply ships will be able to easily enter the Bozo River estuary to deliver supplies at the building site, rather than having to load them onto trucks and transport them over swamp and plain to bring them in from north or south.  This will dramatically speed up building of the infrastructure of the future base. 

In this remote corner of the Republic, where nearly nobody lives or even visits, life for the workers who began on the earliest phases of this project last month has been difficult.  As the channel project was beginning, workers were building a temporary town about 20 miles down the shore from the River.  The town, lovingly referred to as "Bozoville" by its inhabitants is still a conglomeration of GP tents, container apartments, and field canteens that serve the needs and wants of the laborers .  Creature comforts are few and far between in Bozoville, so ODEN maintains a presence in the town, as well as a number of professional women and men who have moved to the camp to keep the workers occupied during their off time.  Laborers freely mix with NSPers, though the skilled labor does much more difficult work than the conscripts, who often either fill the need for unskilled labor, or work with Naval planners in design and engineering of the various facilities on the base.

As the Dredging continued, a temporary bridge over the Bozo River, the first such bridge ever erected was completed early this month.  Now, workers can freely travel back and forth to the far bank.  Construction of the base Mainside has begun as the first offices and barracks have been framed and roof gables are being lifted into place.  Once the first barracks are completed and the base is electrified, permanent wokers will move to the base, and a second contingent of workers will move into Bozoville who will be responsible to build infrastructure and a permanent defense road to Eveari while base construction is under way.

This major construction is expected to take two years before even Kalistani militia can take up a post here, but the goal of completing the jetty and the harbor, with at least one docking facility, is set for the end of the year.
