Foreign Ministry Delegate to Visit Kasaema amid far-right Rise to Power
September 5584
Kasaema, Kundrati - A delegate representing the Foreign Ministry attended a meeting in Kasaema with members of the new Administration that was elected after the Kundrati election which saw a victory of the far-right party 'Kundrati Legion', who made headlines in the past for some of its most radical stances. The delegate expressed Dundorf's respect for Kundrati democracy and willingness to work with any Administration of a historically friendly country, with deep economic and politicial connections. However, Dundorf's longstanding support for human and civil rights, as well as the pursue of an 'humanitarian' foreign policy, prompted the Government to clarify some conditions for the continuation of a healthy Dundorfian-Kundrati bilateral relationship: support for the political rights of the opposition and respect of civil rights and protection of any citizen, whatever the background.
The Foreign Ministry said that while some reassurances from the new Government in Kasaema have been given, they will be continuing to 'closely monitor' the situation in our eastern neighbor, and will keep borders open, although with increased scrutiny and security as a surge in people passing the border is expected.
The delegate, found at the Dunburg airport, returning from Kundrati, was asked by our reporter for a comment, here's what he told us: Quote:The ball is on Kundrati's side now - we made clear our stance. How they decide to act from now on will determine the future status of the Dundorf-Kundrati bilateral relationship. We support any democratic decision of the Kundrati people, but we won't be supporting any violations of civil and political liberties.

Foreign Office To Suspend Dundorf-Kundrati Partnership
October 5585
A policeman stopping a vehicle at the Dundorf-Kundrati border.
Dunburg, Oderveld - Following the institution by the Kundrati Union of 'labor camps' where the people are jailed for 'unpatriotic' actions, and where they will be used as free labor, the Special Delegate of the Foreign Office for Eastern Artanian Affairs Alexander Schumacher - who attended a summit representing Dundorf and voicing the Federal Republic's concerns relating the election of a far-right party - has announced that he and the Foreign Minister will adopt a 'suspension' of the current partnership treaty regulating international relations between us and our neighbors to the east, limiting trade and re-establishing border patrols as the main consequences. The suspension of the treaty doesn't mean Dundorf is withdrawing altogether from the treaty, as that action would require Bundestag's approval, but simply it will start not enforcing its provisions.
Mr. Schumacher released a statement after walking out of his meeting with the Foreign Minister this morning:
Quote:We were open-minded [regarding new leadership in Kundrati] and maintained that attitude by partecipating at that meeting. We said that other than words we would have judged facts too, sadly this new reform which jails people for unspecified reasons, broadly labeled as 'unpatriotic actions', and then uses them as free labor in camps, was a fact we judged heavily negatively. Today, we reached this historic decision, hoping that future leadership in Kasaema will work to repair this situation.
For now, the Foreign Office confirms, basic diplomatic relations will stay in place, so the Ambassador won't be recalled, but they made clear that this further step would be considered in the future, should the Union to the east not stop its authoritarian backsliding. For what concerns trade, Ikradun Island is preparing for an higher traffic of ships and cargoes, there are rumours that a new logistics contract to manage part of this higher traffic will be awarded to a company - possibly Pontesi's Derovyan L&T, sources says.

Border Shut Down amid Kundrati Crisis
(backdated) May 5586
Dunburg, Oderveld - In the capital, a new Foreign Minister was sworn-in as a member of the new government, it's Alexander Schumacher, who ascended to the position just recently, but has a deep experience in eastern Artanian affairs that he matured while working as an analyst and delegate of the Foreign Office. His arrival to the Ministry has sadly coincided with the break out of a civil conflict in Kundrati, our eastern neighbor which experienced far-right governance for the past years, and that has plunged into chaos as a result of that governance.
Minister Schumacher declared that the border running between Dundorf and Kundrati will be shut down and border security will be increased to protect Dundorf from possible spillovers, it will be still possible for refugees to cross the border after a simple security check, in order 'to keep true humanitarian ideals while ensuring Dundorfians' security at all costs', said Mr. Schumacher. The new Minister also added that formal diplomatic ties with the far-right legionnaires government have been shut down, and that for now the Federal Republic won't recognize a new Government.

Foreign Minister meets with Kanjorian Officials, Bundestag to Ratify 'Migrants Accord'
June 5589 (backdated)
Dunburg, Oderveld - Foreign Minister Alexander Schumacher welcomed his Kanjorean counterpart in the Foreign Office earlier this week to discuss about a possible trade exchange between the two countries, mostly relating military assets such as aviation and ships. Kanjor is part of the Canrillaise Union, a set of nations with which Dundorf has cordial relationship due to the common alliance to the United Kingdom of Lourenne, it is thanks to this relationship that the Foreign Minister hopes to develop in-depth more solid relationship with nations part of the Canrille world, and Kanjor represented 'the perfect candidate', said Schumacher, as Dundorf seeks to maintain its military up to date.
In unrelated news, Schumacher also outlined how happy he was that the Vertragsaktualisierungsgesetz had passed in the Bundestag, which according to him marks 'Dundorf steadfest involvement in a cooperative and secure Artania', and other than that, he was also happy that the bill received unanimous consent of all the members who voted because it represent 'wide agreement' on both sides of the aisle on foreign policy.

The Nordenhaus Motor Show is back!
May 5593
An image from the Events Center of Nordenhaus, hosting in these days the Motor Show.
Nordenhaus, Dunlake - A cherished event by the citizens of Nordenhaus - and Dundorf as a whole - the Motor Show has returned in town to show all the latest car models to the public, as the Show usually does, but this time, not only that: the organizers introduced a couple of new things. Let's proceed with order: Maibaum-Bain and OCHEL dominated as usual the scene of the Dundorfian cars, both presenting their new models pandering at their respective audiences: luxury, larger cars for M-B, and compact, utilitarian cars for OCHEL, confirming a business model that has been established for a very long time. Due to the disruption of the Kundrati trade route, car exports fell off in the recent years, representing a major source of lost revenue for both companies, now their hope is to rebound - thanks to this edition of the motor show - in the Dundorfian and broader Artanian market, with the hope that trade can be opened with Beluzia in the next years.
We talked about some novelties introduced by the Show's organizers earlier, but what are they? In the past editions, the show welcomed buses and tractors, and this year, it welcomes classic vintage cars, mostly from the late 4000s, and old cars auctions, in another part of the Events Center that hosts the whole thing. Alberta Herring, the President of the Nordenhaus Motor Show Organization, said that there is a vast number of vintage cars enthusiasts that are now attracted and more motivated to attend the show, some of them with the financial disponibility to partecipate in auctions, putting the Motor Show among the most attended events in Dundorf.

Dundorf To Assist Xsampan Population With Aid
May 5600
A child in Bajoum, Xsampa receiving a package of food aid.
Dunburg, Oderveld - The first humanitarian packages of food and medicines have arrived today in Xsampa, the Federal Foreign Ministry revealed today, and the medical personnel to assist the population is now en route to reach the city Bajoum, known as Xsampa's second largest city and as the temporary seat of the Xsampan government in these dark times. Dundorf and Xsampa have a friendly relationship that was built at the time thanks to Lourennais facilitation, and Xsampa represented, prior to the war, a top destination for Dundorfian tourists. When months ago, the Homeland State of Beiteynu seemingly launched a nuclear weapon over Metz-Leonid, the capital city, outrage and condemnation from Dunburg was immediate, especially since our country refuses the idea of nuclear weapons as part of its Humanitarian foreign policy, and most importantly, for the absolute civilian and humanitarian catastrophe that act caused.
As of now, Dundorf will contribute to Xsampa with this humanitarian aid, but Foreign Minister Alexander Schumacher said that the Federal Republic is ready to partecipate in the rebuilding efforts to help the Dovanian country to make a comeback, it is widely known that Dundorfian expertise in enginerring, infrastructure and clean energy is strong and proved, and many people think it'd be a good idea to put it at the service of Xsampa's reconstruction.
