State Chancellor welcomes Ikradonian delegation to Haldor.
February, 5557 (Backdated)
Haldor, Greater Kordusia - State Chancellor Ardaric von Rohr-Mauss welcomed the Ikradonian delegation, lead by State President Leonie Hofkamp and First Minister Mark Lamberts, to Haldor to discuss bilateral cooperation between the two nations. The State Chancellor, eager to continue to develop the revitalized Black Mountain Chain Railways, announced that Ikradon was interested in the project and would be joining the project in the near future. The State Chancellor welcomed further connections between both Artanian and ethnic Dundorfian states, which culminated in the holding a large pan-Dundorfian conference in Haldor which is likely to have further implications for Dorvik, Dundorf and Narikaton and Darnussia in the near future according to the State Chancellor. The visit to Ikradon focused on Dorvish investment, which has been surging across northern and central Artania for the past several years, and welcoming free trade between Ikradon and Dorvik. The Dorvish have made overtures to assist the Ikradonian government in their ventures with connecting to the Black Mountain Chain Railways, and the Dorvish have offered a series of investments aimed at promoting the Ikradonian government to swiftly connect to the railway project, for both commercial and personal transportation. The State Chancellor welcomed Ikradon back into the fold of Artanian politics and noted that he had long desired to visit Ikradon and would be ensuring that a future state visit to the nation would be planned.

Haldor and Yishelem break bread in historic meeting.
April, 5558
Haldor, Greater Kordusia - His Majestic Highness, the King and Kaiser, Franz joined the State Chancellor, the Foreign Minister and a number of other Dorvish functionaries as they traveled to the Beiteynuese capital of Yishelem to meet with their respective counterparts. The meeting, months in the making, is a monumental moment for the international community as the Dorvish and Beiteynuese governments clashed in the middle parts of the 56th century and spawned a divide between once long-term allies Dorvik and Lourenne, the latter breaking bonds with the Dorvish and seeking out new friendship with the Beiteynuese government. The period in which caused a significant upheaval in the international order and led to a Dorvish retreat from world affairs. The meeting, taking place over the first few weeks of April, 5558, seeks to iron out the bad blood between the two nations and declare a new era between them. Political commentators and the press from both sides have eagerly talked about the meeting and while neither nation is perhaps at the zenith it once was, it is nevertheless a meeting between two titans of the so-called "Great Game" that is geopolitics. The recent visit, stirred by the announcement that Lodamun would be deploying forces to Malivia, further complicates that already tense situation in Migrant's Pass; the Dorvish have shown reluctance to ascend to the Joint Artanian-Majatran Security Agreement, commonly known as JAMS. According to the Foreign Office, it is largely due to the implications that would tie the Dorvish to certain security assurances that they cannot provide at this moment. It is likely that Dorvik will provide some sort of assistance in patrolling Migrant's Pass and ensuring the free flow of commercial and civilian maritime traffic through the area. The State Chancellor noted that he does not believe that Lodamun will be a hindrance and should they become one, a diplomatic solution is certainly possible with the Lodamunese government. While JAMS and the presence of Lodamun complicates the situation, the Dorvish and Beiteynuese meeting pressed on, the focus on re-developing the once deep trade ties between the two nations was ever present. The Dorvish Trade Commissioner as well the Dorvish Trade Commissioner for Majatra were present and the Dorvish Trade Commissioner for Majatra confirmed that they would be restoring their Majatran-based headquarters in Yishelem as well as another office potentially "elsewhere" in Majatra, likely Wiel should the agreements come to pass. Dorvish stocks jumped on the news of normalizing trade relations between the two nations and Dorvish businesses and investors were eager to sink their teeth into the Majatran market, and the Beiteynuese businesses were likely happy that another market outside of the handful in Artania, were opened to them. The normalization of trade is and was always in the best interest of both economies, especially the people. While the divorce between Yishelem and Haldor will not be healed overnight, the two parties announced that Beiteynu would be attending a state visit in Haldor in the "near future".

Dorvish delegation arrives in Kanjor for first bilateral meeting following Lourenne's end.
September, 5558
Kanjor - The Dorvish Foreign Minister Andrej Weschler arrived in Kanjor for a high-level meeting with his Kanjorian counter-part, Foreign Minister Eugène Chastain as well as Prime Minister Etienne Bessieres to discuss a number of topics. First and foremost was the recognition that Kanjor had the "right" to inherit the leadership mantle of the Canrilllaise world and in the future, Dorvik would look to Kanjor for guidance on Canrillaise affairs. The State Chancellor, scheduled to attend the state visit, was kept back in Dorvik due to the recent tensions flaring with Lodamun deploying naval vessels to Malivia. The Foreign Minister was questioned regarding his stance on the matter and the Dorvish Foreign Minister provided a shrug. "It is times like these that the continent must remain united, must stand together. The Kingdom has a cordial relationship with Lodamun and I am sure that if Dorvik announced that we would be opening a naval base in Kanjor to protect whatever, they would be against it. It is the nature of continental leaders to be against the opening of military bases on the continent. We've entered into talks with Malivia in hopes of coming to an agreement. This visit today is about Dorvik and Kanjor, not Dorvik and the mess that is Migrant's Pass." The Dorvish Trade Commissioner for Seleya was present, a major clue that the Dorvish intend to seriously invest and draw investment from Kanjor. In addition to the Foreign Minister, a number of Dorvish businessmen and officials joined the delegation and had their own high-level meetings including defense contractors, financial leaders and a number of private businesses. While economics were on the table, a number of other topics including Dorvish-Kanjorian cooperation in Seleya in a multitude of spheres including security and defense cooperation and the development of routine exercises with both armed forces.

Narikaton and Darnussian FM phones Dorvish FM, Kingdom looks for JAMS and LSCO deployments.
November, 5558
Haldor, Greater Kordusia - Dorvish officials confirm that the opening a naval base located in Hobrazia is going ahead as scheduled and will be the base of operations for a potential shift in Dorvish foreign policy. The Foreign Minister from Narikaton and Darnussia exchanged some words with reporters and started a minor diplomatic row between the two nations, a phone call between Dundorfian brothers solved the issue. According to sources close to the Foreign Office the conversation also focused on Dorvish reluctance to join JAMS, the Joint Artanian-Majatran Security Agreement which represents a significant point of interest for the Dorvish, Beiteynu and in the more recent centuries: Narikaton and Darnussia. The State Chancellor while in Beiteynu for a state visit in April, 5558 confirmed that the Dorvish were reluctant to join JAMS due to security commitments. Chief of the Supreme General Staff, Generaladmiral Magnus Gyrowetz confirmed that he had appointed Admiral Armin Behrmann as the commanding officer of contingent of Dorvish forces assigned to the new naval air base in Hobrazia. The base in Hobrazia will be key to the Dorvish ascension to JAMS and its future operations, according to Dorvish officials, notably the Foreign Office, Dorvik will likely ascend to JAMS in the coming year or so in order to participate and avoid confusion or controversy. Understandably the Dorvish have issues with JAMS and believe that its management should be chiefly Artanian with a Majatran representative on staff. The Dorvish government also announced that they had intentions of resuming patrols of Lievenian Sea and possibly further due to the Lievenia Sea Accord and the Lievenia Sea Cooperation Organization (LSCO) and Generaladmiral Gyrowetz noted the appointment of Vizeadmiral Oli Glasser as the commanding officer of the contingent assigned to the LSA/LSCO, formally known as the Marineschutzgruppe "Lievlandsee" (Luthorian: Naval Protection Group "Lievenian Sea").

Dorvish pause ascension to JAMS, place CSG "Rohr-Mauss" into service.
July, 5559
Haldor, Greater Kordusia Dorvish officials confirmed the halt of ascension to the Joint Majatran-Artanian Security Agreement (JAMS) on the news that Beiteynu was exploring the options of deploying any forces, temporarily or permanently, to Artania. "We are yet again faced with a crisis where a foreign power is attempting to deploy combat capable forces on Artanian soil and we will not stand for any violation of Artanian sovereignty." The Foreign Office noted that while it had hoped for renewed relations with Beiteynu, it would certainly not tolerate another crisis in the Migrant's Pass and announced that the Supreme General Staff was exploring all options to continue to deploy routine patrols to the pass, irrespective of JAMS at the moment. Generaladmiral Magnus Gyrowetz confirmed that Carrier Strike Group "Rohr-Mauss" (Dundorfian: Flugzeugträgerkampfgruppe "Rohr-Mauss") with the Kaiser-class aircraft carrier, DNS Prince of Rohr-Mauss, at its helm will be launched. The Dorvish re-entered into a serious naval modernization and rearmament program in December, 5555 approximately 10 years ago and the program experienced a jump due to the institutions of the Dorvish Armed Forces, they were designed to be stable regardless of government there was limited impact from previous governments on the situation, enabling the prowess of the Dorvish Navy to remain with minor blemishes. In reality, the Dorvish were able to harness their long-term global investments and utilize a significant portion of their sovereign wealth to push forward a massive infrastructure program and the armed forces rearmament. While the deployment of the CSG "Rohr-Mauss" is a step forward towards global operations, the Dorvish understand that the logistical component in the rear area will be significant and it will be an operation to support. The most notable development will be the naval base in Hobrazia which will assist in the operations in Migrant's Pass; in addition, the Dorvish have announced unmanned aerial patrols based from Hobrazia with the Quantum Möwe (Luthorian: Seagull; Internal MQ-4C), designed for maritime security.

Southern Pipeline breaks ground to Aloria, more to come.
August, 5559
Grenzmark, Largonia - State Chancellor Ardaric von Rohr-Mauss was on the border near Aloria in southern Largonia to formally break ground on a terminal facility which would serve as a hub for the Southern Pipeline (Dundorfian: Südpipeline) connection between Dorvik and Aloria, a major coup for the Dorvish economically and a long-term project that has long been dreamed of by the Dorvish government. The completion of the Alorian leg of the project is expected to take a few years and will be jointly handled by Dorvish and Alorian corporations, largely Alorian corporations with Dorvish corporations providing assistance to ensure interoperability between the two pipeline connections. Dorvish Oil, the largest oil and natural gas producer on Artania continues to seek providing the best energy service across Artania and potentially expand its operations around Artania. Under the agreement for the pipeline the respective nation will be responsible for the development of its own transit routes within the nation. The connections will be monitored by Dorvish Oil and the Natural Resources Technical Management Corporation and a committee of officials from the pipeline nation and Dorvik in order to ensure open lines of communication and to prevent possible errors or issues with transit rights. While Aloria was the first to join on the project, Ikradon agreed that they were interested as well. The State Chancellor stated that they would be discussing the idea with Dundorf and if they agreed the Black Mountain Chain Railway's line would serve as a means to develop the Southern Pipeline alongside of it. The Dorvish government is in talks with Kirlawa and potentially some others to expand the project further.

A Response to threats to the Kingdom.
August, 5559
Foreign Minister Andrej Weschler didn't provide much in the way of a response to Narikaton and Darnussia "condemning" the Dorvish government for defending Artanian sovereignty. "Time and time again we have nations that bend over backwards to foreign powers in self-interest, in this case it was Malivia and now its Narikaton and Darnussia and potentially Hobrazia. Dorvik continues to defend Artanian sovereignty and will continue to do so. The Carrier Strike Group deployment to Migrant's Pass and additional patrols will resume in the Lievanian Sea and the Artanian Sea without hesitation. We will of course continue to comply with all regulations as set forth in the Law of the Sea, which is international maritime law." Reporters questioned the statement that the Dorvish would be "sanctioned" and the Foreign Minister provided a helpless shrug. "Dundorf leases commercial maritime space in Dorvik and should they decide to sanction us, that would be a pretty egregious breach of their strategic partnership agreement with Dorvik and would certainly hurt their own economy for sometime before they were able to recover. The Dorvish and Dundorfians have a long history and I am sure that we'll continue that relationship regardless of Narikaton and Darnussia, an upstart in recent years, opinion." The loss of trade with Narikaton and Darnussia would hurt, but has been minimal in recent years, largely due to the lack of continued development on the part of both nations. "While there will be pain for a bit, its nothing that cannot be recovered from without much issue. We're fortunate to have a multitude of trading partners on Artania and across the globe, including several major emerging markets." The Foreign Minister didn't have much to say about Luthori and its trading status with Dorvik. It is well known that Luthori, the wannabe "leader" of the continent has struggled to maintain trade relations with several nations on Artania in pursuit of neo-Imperial ambitions with the Commonwealth and has sought to expand its suzerainty over nations such as Mordusia, Lodamun and others. "At the end of the day Narikaton and Darnussia and Luthori are not for Artanian sovereignty, and they will continue to kowtow to foreign powers in the pursuit of self-interest." The Foreign Minister did not respond to the threats from the Narikaton and Darnussian Foreign Minister regarding any action taken against Dorvish ships. "I don't really have to comment on that, we all know that the institution of the Dorvish Armed Forces is what it is." |
