Mordusia and Gaduridos sign lucrative trade deal
Oil, cooperation and friendship between Seleyan countries
April 5562
Randworth - The Ministry of Trade & Industry just announced to the Federal Parliament today that it signed within the given mandate to the Ministry a lucrative deal with Gaduridos. According to the ministry the Mordusian economy can rejoice with increased imports of affordable oil, aid with the construction of the Trans-Seleyan Railway and investments in the general economy.
For the past few days Gerald DeWitt, minister for Trade & Industry has held talks with his delegation in Gaduridos for the finalization of an important trade deal between Mordusia and Gaduridos. With the growth and recovery of the Mordusian economy the demand for natural resources, especially those needed for energy production are growing as well. According to the Commonwealth Bank and the Orca International Economic Report it was the biggest risk for the future growth and stability of the Mordusian economy. Today the government announced they cleared that risk by signing the lucrative deal with Gaduridos.
Gaduridos will gain the rights to sell a minimum of 60% of the oil needs of the Mordusian economy, these sales will be done by two companies, Hexlon Imperial Oil and M-Petrol. The two oil companies will be given a monopoly on the oil trade in Mordusia with supervision and regulations of the state, whilst they have to share and sell the oil within the nation for affordable prices to gass stations, of which M-Petrol and Hexlon Imperial Oil control 80%. Through this the energy needed for the Mordusian economy is secured. In its own Gaduridos gains generous access to the Mordusian market, for instance its agricultural products and semiconductors as well as media entertainment. If Gadurii companies will make use of this is something the future will tell.
The nation of Gaduridos have also shown themselves to be very generous. They are the second nation after Dorvik to supply Mordusia with aid to construct its Trans-Seleyan Railnetwork across its nation. The Ministry of Infrastructure has stated that their aid is considered generous and very much welcome. The aid will speed up the construction by at least two years according to the ministry.
What is benefitial to Mordusia however is that it opens yet another market for the growing Mordusian economy to sell its products. This trade deal marks the fourth, behind the deals with Vakuku, Luthori and Lodamun. According to the ministry the government will focus next on Kanjor and other Seleyan nations, possibly even Lourenne. The government has been trying to enter Mordusia on the world stage again and increase the standard of living within the nation.

Coalition deliver on promise, creating fund for businesses
Aiding the Mordusian economy, according to the Finance Minister
September 5562
Randworth - In a significant step forward for small businesses, family enterprises, and the agricultural sector, the Progressive-National-Reform coalition government has announced the successful passage of a landmark bill that establishes a $15 billion fund dedicated to supporting small and medium-sized businesses as well as start-ups. The fund, which is set to provide much-needed resources to family-owned businesses and farmers, underscores the coalition’s commitment to fueling economic growth from the grassroots level.
Speaking after the bill’s passage, Minister of Finance Richard Ashford expressed his satisfaction with the legislative milestone. "Today, we have delivered on a promise to our small business owners, family-run enterprises, and farming communities. This fund is about ensuring they have the financial support they need to thrive and to continue contributing to our economy," Ashford stated, visibly elated by the outcome.
The establishment of the fund is a fulfillment of a central promise made by the coalition government, which has consistently emphasized its dedication to supporting local businesses as a key driver of Mordusia's economy. The coalition’s platform had prioritized creating a favorable environment for these smaller players, aiming to level the playing field against larger corporations and ensure that family-run enterprises and farms remain viable in the face of economic pressures and competition.
The newly established fund will provide grants, low-interest loans, and other financial aid specifically designed to address challenges faced by these businesses. In addition to financial assistance, the program includes provisions for mentorship, business development workshops, and access to new markets—initiatives aimed at bolstering both immediate and long-term growth.
The coalition government anticipates that these initiatives will stimulate local economies, create jobs, and enhance the economic resilience of rural and urban areas alike. As small businesses and farms represent a significant portion of Mordusia’s workforce, the fund’s impact could be wide-reaching.
Experts and stakeholders have already voiced their optimism about the potential for the fund to drive economic resilience. With initial funds expected to be disbursed early next quarter, the government aims to see measurable growth within the year, further solidifying its commitment to "a thriving economy for all."

National Party: ''Lets get Mordusia going, vote National''
National Party ready for elections, launching new election ad: ''avoid coalitions, vote National''
October 5564
Port Alexander - The elections are around the corner. Every party is gearing up to convince the voter to grant them their vote. So too the National Party. Three months ago they introduced their new leader, Edward DeWitt, a member of the Mordusian side of the Humperdinck-DeWitt family. The Nationals are determined to win back their first place spot from the Progressives this election cycle and are busy campaining against the need to form a coalition.
Mr. DeWitt went on his last speech yesterday evening surrounded by party members and voters, ending his tour in Port Alexander. There he launched the last campaign video for the Nationals, calling out as he called it ''No clear election winner, a stalled economy during coalition talks, nothing getting done. Dont risk the uncertainty, lets get Mordusia going! Lets vote National!''. This latest message follows a set of policy changes the Nationals have gone through since the last elections.
The National Party has been focussing on small businesses, farmers and ''sensible national policies'', moving away from their more federal and rural view points, mostly championed now by the Reform Party, and going towards a sort of moderate conservative point of view. The new leader has upon his election as the new head of the National Party announced that the ''National Party stands for every size of business, getting jobs back to Mordusia, keeping sustainable growth and keeping hard earned money in the pockets of the Mordusian people.'' his deputy, Hannah Colliwick, who made a meteoric rise through ranks is another interesting figure for the Nationals, she has advocated that: ''Mordusians must rely on lean but efficient government services, and let the market do the rest. We can bring Mordusia out and about!''. Her focus is on social services, healthcare and education. Something the Nationals rather not talk much about in previous elections.
Will this new direction of the Nationals help them to victory? The renewed energy is certaintly very interesting for the voters. However the competators are though and especially the Reform and Progressive Parties are gunning for the same voters and the same number one spot. Can the National Party defeat the Progressives? Only time will tell.

Election results in: Hung parliament, Nationals largest party
National Party wins plurality, coalition talks imminent. Jeremy Wilson elected for second term.
November 5564
Port Alexander - This month the public headed towards the polling stations to cast their party vote for the next parliament and next government of the Commonwealth. People could vote in two rounds for the Governor-General, Her Majesty's official and loyal representative and elected Viceroy, and for the parliament. The campaigning was fierce with all parties trying to bring as many people to the voting booth as possible. In the end the result remains as it was before, a hung parliament, with the largest party only gaining 31% of the seats.
The election of the Governor-General of the Commonwealth
For the election of the representative of our regal head of state all parties fielded a promising candidate for the office. Going into the election, sitting Governor-General Jeremy Wilson hoped to be re-elected to the same office once more. This result would be a stunning one for the Nationals, as they would have won the office for the 5th time in a row. His main challenger was Simon Reeves of the Progressives, who wished to head the government into a more centre-left progressive way. The other two challangers were Joel Knight of the Democrats and Christopher Belfort of the Reform Party. Mr. Belfort is a well-known and outspoken individual, wishing to give the rural and local governments and communities a bigger say in their future. In the end the result was very narrow:
- Jeremy Wilson, Nationals - 32,43%
- Simon Reeves, Progressives - 26,57%
- Joel Knight, Democrats - 20,80%
- Christopher Belfort, Reform - 20,20%
Interestingly, it seems that Simon Reeves, who was very much the favourite candidate in the first round in the last elections lost quite some support. In that election he won about 42,66% of the vote, with Jeremy Wilson only getting 29,59% of the vote, narrowly winning from Christopher Belfort. This time it seems that the Democrats have taken away valuable votes from the Reform and Progressives candidates and that the Nationals won more votes this time about. In the second round another thing surprised us; the Reform and National Parties made a pact to support each other’s candidates in the second round, although so it seems. Christopher Belfort and the Reform Party went on to support Jeremy Wilson in the second round. This resulted in the following outcome:
- Jeremy Wilson, Nationals - 54,22%
- Simon Reeves, Progressives - 45,72%
With this result, Jeremy Wilson won both rounds and thus has won his second term as Governor-General of the Commonwealth of Mordusia. In his victory speech mr. Wilson said that ''Mordusians have given a clear signal, they want rural matters to matter too, they want a business orientated government with a global perspective that fights for Mordusia and that is loyal to the Crown. I am honoured to be given this second term and honoured that for the 5th time in a row, the people picked a candidate from my party to represent Her Majesty the Queen in our great Commonwealth. Thank you''.
Results for the Federal Parliament
For the elections for the parliament of the Commonwealth the people chose a bit different than their choice for the Governor-General. The previous election divided the voters amongst the four parties and this spread has only gotten worse. The largest party last time, the Progressives, had won 52 seats, still becoming a rather large party. However this time around the largest party only won 47 seats, with the smaller parties winning a few extra seats.
The surprise of the evening was the big loss of the Progressives, they lost 12 seats going from 52 to 40 seats. Another surprise was the Democrats, who albeit being often absent in the Parliament won the largest amount of seats, 6. Going from 28 to 34 seats. The Nationals gained some extra votes and gained a good number of seats, 4. Not the amount they had hoped for. During the election they often campaigned against hung parliaments and had hoped to convince the people to vote them in with a clear majority. Though it seems that the Nationals don’t mind the outcome, they were glad with the victory. The last winner of the evening was the Reform Party, who won 2 extra seats. The Party who stands up for local autonomy went from 28 seats to 30 seats.
Coalition
With the election results a given it falls upon the Governor-General to formulate a new government. He, as the representative of the Sovereign, invites the leader of the largest party to try and form a coalition government in Her name. With this in mind His Excellency invited Mr. Edward DeWitt, leader of the Nationals to form a government. Given the remarks of the Governor-General and the support he and his party got from the Reform Party, it is most likely that these two will form a new coalition. They would have a majority of 2 seats, totalling 77 seats in the Parliament.

Global Mordusia? Commonwealth to reach out to various nations
Prime-Minister & Foreign Minister inform Parliament of ''Second Foreign Offensive''
March 5565
Randworth - It will be a busy two months for the Foreign Office as the Foreign Minister announced state visits from both Potensi, Zardugal and invites being sent to Kundrati and the members of the Canrille Empire. The newly appointed Foreign Minister, Harrold Edwinson said that this was in line with the governments aim to gain a more global reach and attract trade and investments towards Mordusia.
Second Foreign Offensive
The Foreign Minister called it in the Parliament the second diplomatic offensive, wishing to drastically increasing the relations with as many nations as possible and striking quick deals which can be expanded later on. The Foreign Office feels that though it will put a strain on their organisation it will help the Mordusian economy forward greatly. Bringing needed jobs and investments to the nation. Analysts have claimed that the Foreign Minister and the Prime-Minister, both new to government, want to make a bold statement and show that the National-Reform coalition, that was formed a few months back can deliver on its promise to strengthen Mordusia, both internally and abroad.
Potensi
A bit of an unusual visit, but our Commonwealth has stated its neglect in forging treaties with the Majatran nations. It is the opinion of the government that the Potensi’s offer a unique possibility to grow, trade and gain mutual beneficial investments to both nations. Diplomats have been contacting each other over the last few months hashing out the first details and to see if a possible accord could be reached. When this was done the Foreign Office reached out to the government of Potensi and invited their Foreign Minister to grace the Commonwealth with his visit. The Foreign Minister will be visited by our own Foreign minister and will be shown various places and delicacies in Mordusia whilst also negotiating a good deal for both nations. The Potensi government on their turn stated that they will not only send their Foreign Minister, but also their King. The Governor-General has informed Her Majesty’s Cabinet in Fort William of the visit and that the Governor-General shall represent Her Majesty in welcoming the King of Potensi to the Commonwealth.
Zardugal
Potensi might be the first, but certaintly not the last country that has caught the eye of the government. Where Potensi reached out to the Commonwealth, the Commonwealth itself reached out to Zardugal. The Foreign Minister has stated that trade relations all over the globe and especially in Majatra can be good for the Mordusian economy, some members of Parliament were baffled by naming Zardugal. Both countries are developing economies, lower powers in the region and relatively far apart. Most question why the Commonwealth reached out to them and not to others. Still the Foreign Minister was backed up by the Trade Minister who stated that this is not the medieval period and that boats and planes and trade can move faster and further than ever before and that ‘’we need to make interesting partners all across the globe, as developing nations we can offer each other things that might lead to common growth, to think that only trade with rich nations will help is get ahead is a fantasy’’. With that no more question arose, analysts are saying it is rather interesting and good idea.
Kundrati
‘’Artania is a rich continent with various cultures and differing economies. Our ties with Luthori are the bedrock of our foreign policy, but we also want to increase our relations across Artania. Next to Luthori we want to begin with Kundrati’’. As such did the remarks of the Foreign Minister Mr. Edwinson open the remarks on the invitation of Kundrati. The idea is to seek their aid in developing good interest connection throughout the nation and seek investments or spaces for their companies, especially those companies who focus on space and satellites. ‘’This could bring forth a great partnership and bring great jobs to our nation’’ said te Trade Minister in an interview on the matter. It is the hope of the Foreign Office that the Kundrati Foreign Ministry will accept the invitation and schedule a meeting.
The Canrille Empire
It was always on the radar and the minds of everyone. When would the Foreign Office invite the Canrille nations? The largest neighbhours and largest economy in the world? Especially Lourenne, Alduria and Kanjor. All three nations could be interesting partners for the Mordusian Commonwealth. On this not the Foreign Minister, nor the Trade Minister or the Defense Minister spoke but rather the Prime-Minister. Mr. DeWitt said that it was ‘’imperative to speak of our common security and stability in Seleya and seek important trade ties and visa free travel. The Canrille Empire recently trained its troops and the Jelbec Empire parking its fleet in Kalistan is heating things up. It concerns us, as our nation is developing and recently quite reliant on our partners. We should seek out the Canrille Empire and establish a good friendship with them and cooperate with them and our own Imperial ties with Luthori to keep us and all of Seleya safe’’. No one questioned this, rather many in the parliament were in agreement, who would be so foolish as to reject the Canrille Empire? It appears not our Commonwealth. The Foreign Office will go about to the Canrille Empire and sent them an invitation. The hope is that the Canrille Emperor will grace the Commonwealth with a visit, but their foreign ministers alone would already be a good sign for the Commonwealth.

New Royal Garden in Rechtenberg
Her Majesty the Queen invited to open the new Royal Gardens at Her royal castle
March 5565
Emperor Phillip II & Empress Mary I
Rechtenberg - That Mordusia and the Orange-Villayn dynasty are connected and share a deep and important history is without question. To commemorate the great relationship with this historic dynasty the Governor-General Jeremy Wilson has ordered, as representative of the Crown, the renovation of the gardens at the Mordus Castle in Rechtenberg. Now Her Majesty, Queen Audrey, herself an Orange-Villayn of the Armstead branch (Orange-Villayn-Armstead), has been invited by the Governor-General and the Commonwealth government to open the new Royal Gardens.
Historically Mordus Castle is the royal seat of the Monarch in Mordusia. The Governor-General announced that the castle will be renamed to Rechtenberg Castle after the city in which it is located. The castle will host a new garden that will show the history of the Orange-Villayn dynasty in Mordusia, with statues and information bords as well as various flowers, mostly roses in various colours. This will symbolise the history of the Mordusian nation to both Luthori, Alduria and Hutori, but most importantly to the Orange-Villayn dynasty. A dynasty that ‘’has been a unifying symbol for Mordusia, who have stood up for us and have brought investments of Luthori and Hutori towards us. The dynasty has even lived here from time to time. We stand with them and are thankfull for their continued service to this realm’’ as the Governor-General stated in his announcement.
The garden will host various statues of famous rulers of the Orange-Villayn house, some of the Steuart-Carmichael branch, some of the Armstead branch, but also their ancestors. One of these ancestors will be brought to the garden in the form of a statue similar to that one in Alduria, namely the statue of Phillip II of Alduria and Mary I of Luthori. Empress Mary of Luthori was the last ruler of the Orange dynasty and Phillip II the last of the Stuart-Villayn dynasty in Alduria, they together founded the Orange-Villayn dynasty. They created one of the greatest dynasties this world has ever seen. Another will be of Heinrich, or Henry I, the Emperor who created a vast empire and who’s son created the second line of Orange-Villayn monarchs and split the Rothingren-Traugott dynasty in two, the Orange-Villayns and the Rothingren-Traugotts. These statues will not be the only ones. A statue will be unveiled of the Empress-Queen herself and of Empress-Queen Elizabeth, her famous ancestor.
![[Image: Heinrich-Emperor.png]](https://i.ibb.co/pz0njVz/Heinrich-Emperor.png)
Emperor Henry I of Rothingren-Traugott
It is the hope of the government to bring not only Luthori and Mordusia closer together through this act, but to also cement the notion that the Orange-Villayns aren’t a Luthorian or Hutorian dynasty, but also a Aldurian and Mordusian dynasty, that their roots run deep in Mordusian history and that this deserves attention and recognition. The gardens will be open to the general public and tourists for a small price when Her Majesty is not in the nation. The people can then see the beautifull gardens will plants from all over Mordusia, Luthori and Hutori as well as see the rich history of Mordusia's monarchy.
After the opening of the gardens Her Majesty is invited to tour the country with the Governor-General as he shows works on the Trans-Seleyan Railway, new businesses and Luthorian-Mordusian cooperation. Diplomats of the Empire are invited to talks with the diplomats of the Foreign Office, together with the Foreign Secretary of Luthori and the High Commissioner of Luthori to Mordusia. The plan is to further solidify the relations between the two realms of Her Majesty.
God save the Queen
long live the Empire

Global Mordusia! Three visits in two years
The success of the ''Second Foreign Offensive''
December 5567
Prime-Minister DeWitt & Governor-General Wilson at the meeting with Potensi
Randworth - The Second Diplomatic Offensive, the initiative of the new National-led government to expand within one term the ties with partner nations and establish important trade deals and diplomatic talks, has been the backbone of this administration. The hopes were set high and the government has seemed to be able to deliver on the promise. In 5566 and 5567 the nations of Zardugal, Potensi and Kundrati made a visit to the nation.
Global Mordusia
The Foreign Ministry has copied the old slogan of the Luthorian diplomatic stance a few hundred years ago, called ‘’Global Luthori’’ and adapted it for their own. It was met with some criticism as the Commonwealth doesn’t want to look like a carbon copy of Luthori, but overall the secondary name, the Second Diplomatic Offensive stuck and hit better. The aim was to establish more trade deals and connections around the world to make Mordusia less alone in the world and give businesses opportunities within the nation whilst also expanding Mordusian chances abroad. The first offensive was with Gaduridos, Luthori, Lodamun and Dorvik. All nations aiding the Mordusian economy with their expertise, aid or cooperation through trade. The second one aimed at fostering new relations with nations from all continents and with neighbours.
Potensi
The first nation to accept the invitation was Potensi. They graced the Commonwealth with a visit in 5566. The visit was made extra special with the surprising arrival of the King and his Royal personal to the Commonwealth. King Aris Arevyan was formally greeted by His Excellency, Jeremy Wilson, Governor-General of Mordusia in his capacity as the representing viceroy of Her Majesty Queen Audrey when foreign dignitaries visit the Commonwealth. The Governor-General bid His Majesty welcome on behalf of Her Majesty the Queen and welcomed him to Mordusia.
The King was brought to Randworth, the capital of the Commonwealth and shown various museums and industries, including the Vanukuan mines and the state owned mines. During this diplomats from both nations negotiated for hours according to the Foreign Ministry. The goal was to see if foreign investments and trade could be established within the nation. A key goal of the Potensi delegation was allowing companies to enter the Mordusian markets, especially the Thaller-Siran corporation. Though the Mordusian delegation thought there would be little interest in electric cars, like the Xarvin 2.0, the government saw no objections to allowing them to invest in Mordusia. The final deal was as follows: the Thaller-Siran Corporation will be allowed to set up shop in Mordusia, sell their Xarvin 2.0 and other cars, whilst also investing in creating the infrastructure to charge and maintain electric vehicles. They will also invest in Kangaroo Motors, the Mordusian ailing car manufacturer. The idea is that with their help and technology the company will be able to better produce hybrid cars, which would fit more in the Mordusian economy.
According to the Ministry of Defense the Potensi government requested that their warships could dock and refuel in Mordusian harbours. The Commonwealth government, reluctantly, agreed under some undisclosed provisions. The docking of the ships of the Potensi navy can also only be done for a short while for shore leave and resupplying and only at ports in the Sea of Lost Souls. These rights will be given for a time of 5 years after which they would have to be renegotiated. It is not often the Commonwealth agrees to these terms, according to analyst the government is happy to have more contacts and activity in their harbours. Some voices in the Parliament have already stated their disapproval of the action. Fearing a disapproving tone from the Canrille Empire, Beiteynu and the Holy Luthorian Empire.
The visit was concluded as usual with a huge banquet in honour of the Potensi king, hosted by Her Majesty the Queen at the Port Palace in Port Alexander, the Palace used for these kinds of things if the Royal person is represented by the Governor-General.
Kundrati
Members of the Union Government along with high officials of the ArtSats travelled to Mordusia to talk with members of the Trade Ministry, this meeting was also attended by officials of the Foreign Ministry. According to the Kasaema Guardian as well as our own sources the meeting was about expanding the operations of the ArtSats company and its services to Mordusia. This company produces satellites that provide interest connection. The Commonwealth has expressed great interest in the services this company provides, according to some diplomats the government hopes that this will increase internet speeds in Mordusia’s more rural communities. The government has recently reported that amongst their infrastructure investments would be the upgrade of the internet cables, but that this would be costly and hard to do in the more rural areas. These areas need them the most and the ArtSats solution makes this possible at a more affordable rate. The Trade minister was seen to be quite happy when briefed about the success according to some insiders in the Trade Ministry.
Zardugal
The last visit to happen was a few months ago when His Excellency the Director of the Republic of Zardugal visited the Commonwealth. Mr. Diarmaido was invited by the Governor-General Wilson to discuss trade relations and establishing diplomatic and economic ties between the Majatran and Seleyan nations. Creating for both nations opportunities outside their continents.
Zardugal is not a nation close by and not everyone within the country exactly knew why the Commonwealth government invited the Zardugal government to the Commonwealth. The Trade Minister however made this all too clear during his talks with representatives of the government. Zardugal has large mines which grow in production and efficiency every year. One of the ores mined there is bauxite, a mineral heavily sought after by Mordusia. The Mordusians however produce sulphur, which the Zardigs in turn need most. Through this fact both nations can create a beneficial trade relation between one another. Secondly the general trade of civilian goods and allowing companies to operate within each other’s nations is seen as a general plus.
Like with many foreign heads of state or heads of government, the representative of the Crown, the Governor-General welcomed the Director in Port Alexander at which he showed the ports and various of the local mines. They then hosted lengthy talks in which gifts were exchanged. At the end of it all the Director was treated to a banquet in the Port Palace in Port Alexander. The banquet was attended by the Governor-General, the Prime-Minister and most of his cabinet, the leader of the Her Majesties Loyal Opposition and the Luthorian High Commissioner to Mordusia. At the banquet the Governor-General called the visit ‘’a special moment for both of our nations. Both developing a better life for our citizens and willing to work together on this new budding relationship’’.

Trans-Seleyan Railway reaches Randworth!
Towards the South it goes!
November 5568
Randworth - Good news for the Pan-Seleyans and those who just want to take a good and fast trip across the continent. The Trans-Seleyan Railway has now been connected to the capital in Randworth. Marking an important milestone for M-Rail and the Mordusian Railway Authority. The news was brought by the MRA today. The occasion of the opening was widely celebrated with the opening of the platform on the central station to which the railway is connected.
The construction of the Trans-Seleyan Railway started in 5558 at the northern border with Aldegar from which it was build to connect with Tamwie. From there the railway would bypass the other cities in the province of Coliwick and move directly towards Randworth. From there a secondary connection was laid towards Saridan, connecting them as well. With the north now duly connected the move south will begin next year. The idea is that the next stop will be to connect Port Alexander, the capital of province of Treldoge and Port des Pieux, the capital of the province of Voisain. With those connections the two major harbours of the Commonwealth would be connected to the Trans-Seleyan Railway. Which would bring lots of opportunities for both ports in activities and transportation of goods and services. Something that the government sees as absolutely necessary for the economic development of the nation.
Construction of the railway has been going increasingly faster over the years. In many ways thanks to the support the Commonwealth gets from foreign investors and friendly nations. Dorvik, Luthori, Gaduridos are but a few of those who contributed to the great improvements of the construction companies to build this network. The government has many occasions mentioned and thanked these nations for their warm contribution to ‘’not only Mordusia, but also all of Seleya’’. The only question on the minds of the government now is if the Canrille Empire will pitch in to connect them to the rest of Mordusia. Infrastructure Minister Henk Smith stated that it would ‘’help a lot to get their expertise and financial might, but regardless of it, we will connect them to our part of the TSR’’.
The Minister for Infrastructure Henk Smith was of course present at the joyous occasion, he himself a son of a Saridani immigrant mother and a Mordusian father, proudly stated that the connection would ‘’connect our continent together and hopefully bring us all closer together. Kinship, kindness and looking over our borders is what brought me into this beautiful world and in this great nation. This railway will bring these opportunities for all Mordusian, nay, for all Seleyans. Now onwards to Canrille!’’. Afterwards the Minister and the attending executives all opened the platform.
Though the opening was seen as cheerful, it hid a rather heated discussion between all the partners. It hid a bitter discussion between the partners on the third phase of the move south. The first two would be the connection of the ports, of which the partners at first couldn’t agree which would be connected first. This third part that is so heatedly disputed is what to do first, connect the province of New Orange through a connection to Rechtenberg from which the Canrille Empire can be connected through a connection with Alduria. Another option is to connect to Rildanor from Port des Pieux and then to connect New Orange. The more nationalist and royalists within the government advocate for connecting New Orange first. After all connecting the city of Rechtenberg with Rechtenberg Palace would bolster an easy connection to a cultural and historic site as well as boost monarchist sentiments. Rechtenberg is home to the official residence of the Mordusian Monarch, Empress Audrey, Emperess of Luthori & Queen of Mordusia. Others, who are more economically inclined, say that the connection to the Canrille Empire takes precedence and it would further bolster the Mordusian economy. The position of the Infrastructure Minister is unknown, some speculate he doesn’t know which side to fall and is in turmoil over it. Some speculate that the Prime-Minister, Sir DeWitt is quite annoyed with him over this.

Imperial visit! Canrille Emperor visits Mordusia
Canrille-Commonwealth relations improving
January 5567 (backdated)
Port Alexander - Though the relations between some Commonwealth members and the Canrille Empire have not been the warmest in the last few centuries, the relationship between Mordusia and Lourenne has always been cordial, something that was re-affirmed and even seen improved if the Foreign Ministry is to be believed. The Lourennais King and Emperor of Canrille, Emperor Maximillien V graced Mordusia a visit. His Imperial Majesty was greeted and hosted by Governor-General Jeremy Wilson.
His Imperial Majesty arrived in our beautiful nation in Randworth, where He was brought to the offices of the Governor-General. There His Imperial Majesty met with leaders of the various parties after which His Imperial Majesty was shown the city of Randworth itself and its historical sites. Before departing the capital the Emperor and the Governor-General had an hour of productive conversations on mutual relations and cultural ties.
During the visit the entourage of the Emperor of Canrille was split into two, with the High Chancellor, Mr. Arnault and his delegation going with the Prime-Minister and his diplomats to discuss matters of governance and cooperation as well as discussing national security. The remaining entourage went with the Emperor and the Governor-General towards Port des Pieux, the heart of Canrille cultural influences on Mordusia and where the Lutho-Mordusian cultures and the Canrille-Mordusian cultures mix. Here the Emperor was introduced to Aldurian, Kanjorians and Canrille Mordusians living in Mordusia, being business owners, public servents or artists.
After touring through the cultural diverse city of Port des Pieux the Emperor was brought to the other side of the country, to Port Alexander, together with the High Chancellor and all Canrille diplomatic visitors. There the Mordusian Royal Government and the Governor-General hosted them at the Royal Port Castle where a statue banquet was held in honour fo the visitors. The Governor-General commented that he specifically had the menu designed to showcase Mordusia’s rich history, giving a kangaroo steak, whilst also pairing it with Aldurian wine.
The visit was marked as an important development in Mordusian-Canrille relations as well as Canrille-Commonwealth relations. Though not much was said about the latter by the Governor-General or Prime-Minister DeWitt, who rather leaves that up to Luthori to improve. The Prime-Minister however did state that the talks with the High Chancellor were productive and that the connection of the Trans-Seleyan Railway, economic and cultural ties with the Canrille Emprie were discussed. A great sign of relief with the government was the assurance that the Canrille Empire would stick to its policy of aiding in the naval protection of Mordusia’s east coast.

Rechtenberg - The Commonwealth was shocked to hear the sad news of the passing of Her Majesty, Queen Victoria II, Queen of Hutori & Mordusia. Her majesty passed after reigning for over sixty years over Hutori and 27 years over the Commonwealth of Mordusia. Governor-General Wilson stated in a release that the Commonwealth is sad to hear of her loss and that the Commonwealth will always remember her commitment to the nation.
Long have the Orange-Villayns ruled Mordusia, ever since the country was a colony of the Luthorian Empire has this dynasty have influenced the nation. Later on as the red rose stood on its own two feet it often had a ruler of this dynasty. But as many of the great dynasties in our world it has many houses. The Steuart-Carmichaels are such a house. They are the decendents the Orange-Villayns in the direct line, once a cadet branch, they became the last ruling branch for a while and often took the throne in Luthori but also Mordusia. Victoria II was a monarch invited by Mordusia during the Luthorian instability to take up the Orange-Villayn throne. Her contributions to the nation will always be remembered.
His Excellency the Governor-General has announced that Queen Victoria II’s statue will be placed a long side the previous Luthorian Emperor in the Royal Gardens at Rechtenberg Palace in New Orange, to signify the ties of Mordusia and the links between the Orange-Villayn houses and the country. But also to thank her for her tireless service to the nation. In honour, and recognition of their contribution to the nation, the Governor-General in name of Her Majesty Queen Audrey, Queen of Mordusia (Empress Audrey of Luthori in Luthori) granted the right of bearing the title ‘Prince of Mordusia’ to the children of Queen Victoria II.
The Ambassador to the Kingdom of Hutori has expressed on behalf of the Commonwealth and the Crown their condolences to the Royal Family, the King and the Hutorian nation.
