Rapa Pile: Liberation from Vascania
#1
Quote:You know the drill, reply back if you're interested, what you're thinking and especially what you want to achieve. For the most part of the story and especially the slow and steady beginning, you really don't have to do anything specific.

Play when you're in the mood.

Title
Nidahase Hande (Voice of Freedom, it's a Dune reference for Lisan al Gaib), https://forum.prtcy.com/thread-411.html
Length
Long-term, non-committal, unknown, no rush
Endgame
Attempt to liberate Rapa Pile from Vascania - keyword is "attempt", outcome will depend on organic roleplay development.

How it will be played
Indirect will be organic, direct will be coordinated on Discord (please DM me anytime).

As I write the internal story, I will plant plot points opening doors for other nations/players. Entirely up to you if you want to engage - won't hurt the story in the slightest if you don't.

If you engage back, I will engage again and off we go.

Personal limit(s)
Can't play fast, can't schedule posts and can't keep up with everything. If you want to get involved either indirectly or directly, make sure to post a snippet of your own post on the Rapa Pile newsfeed thread https://forum.prtcy.com/thread-17.html to catch my attention.

Conditions
  1. If you participate, I will paint you as bad if you try to do the right thing, and as good if you try to do the wrong thing.
  2. By "right and wrong thing", I mean what you choose to advocate as right/wrong, not a general right/wrong concept.
  3. As is my playstyle, everybody will keep guessing and there will probably be a fair amount of plot twists.
What's the backstory
  1. In 5538, Rogue completed an arc on Vascania illegally annexing Rapa Pile.
  2. (this arc) A silent and simmering revolution across the generations started, seeing as the Rapa Pilese could not fight the monster, and the international community could not stop it.
  3. In 5599, Xsampa got nuked by Beiteynu, officially marking the end of the previous world order. As the regional status quo will be assumed as such, regardless of Vascania being empty or not, Xsampa, neighboring nations, the Red Bass Ocean situation, the 3rd Point Federation, the Vamaj Network and the worldburnerists in the former Jelbic Empire will be assumed directly for the immediate vicinity.
  4. The Rapa Pilese may regard the occupation as business as usual after 100 years, but they still have an independent identity rooted.
(2) will be bridged through flashbacks building up the story since 5538 (on how the stage was set through the generations).

Will commit to this arc with Xsampa. No major goals besides going with the flow of whatever organically happens.
"Yet I am here, and here I shall remain to behold the world in all it's beauty"

"The world is but a stage. Why cry, when you can laugh instead? For laughter is humanity's preserve. Laugh it all off, fret not, Let's just enjoy the moment."

Mostly same as Weim: would like to commit to this as Beluzia, though we're further than most, but eh, still; Obviously, would go with the flow, but my personal goal is to actually make Rapa Pile free again at any cost.

Dorvik would be willing to supply clandestine support to the efforts to liberate Rapa Pile aka weapons, intelligence gathering in both SIGNIT and HUMINT as well as post liberation support.

Will commit to this arc directly as Baeguk, which would callously support Rapa Pile secessionism to the point of extremism.

Mu-Tze would be an armchair general yelling about capitalism and imperialism, but wouldn't do much beyond giving lip support to any worker's or labor demonstrations.

Luthori might be slightly pro-Vascania here. Due mostly to existing economic ties and a relatively good relationship between Fort William and Kamalata. Although, traditionally, Luthori maintained a policy of cautious neutrality, mostly being forced to.

Of course, this position will be reconsidered if Luthoro-Vascanian relations comes to deteriorate.

I'm afraid I have to put a pin on this as working on the site has taken up most of my time with no creative spark to spare.
