HBC BREAKING NEWS - KING ALEXANDER III & QUEEN MADELINE PERISH IN ACCIDENT OVER LAGARD
Backdated: November 5651
CONSTANTINE, LAGARD - Tragedy struck in the Macon Mountains of Lagard as it has been confirmed that the Royal Jet, carrying His Majesty King Alexander III and his wife, Queen Madeline. Contact was lost with the plane as it returned from Tremaine, Falristan to Bekenial, Adelia. The King and the Queen were on a visit to the Onwari First Nation visiting with the Chief. The King has made it a point of visiting Falristan once a year to visit with the Assembly of Six Nations, in an effort to continue to uphold the treaties between the Mashacara and the Crown.
Details are still sketchy, but the Hutorian Air Security and Transportation Agency, the regulating agency for all air travel in Hutori, has confirmed that that the Royal Jet, a Jetstream Aerospace Jet-IV executive, had a severe mechanical issue which led to engine failure and the downing of the jet. There were no survivors of the crash. With the King and Queen was Michael Callum, the Principal Secretary to the Sovereign, and Caleb Eastwood, the Minister of Crown-Indigenious Relations, who are representing the government during the ceremony.
Prime Minister Jason LeClerc has declared a national month of mourning over the loss of the King and Queen and shut down Parliament and the Senate. Members of the Royal Family have been recalled from across Terra for the funeral, including His Highness, Prince James, the Hutorian Ambassador to Kalistan and his children. Princess Natasha, Prince James' eldest daughter has been reportedly granted leave from her National Service to attend the funeral, while Prince James delievered the invitation to the funeral to the Empress personally.
Invitations have gone out internationally to other heads of state to attend the funeral.
Crown Princess Arianna, who was attending the Universite Royalle, in Eroncourt, was immediately escorted back to Hutori. It has been reported she will be taking her own name as her Regnal Name, placing her as Queen Arianna I. Her Majesty is 22 years old, and the youngest monarch to sit on the throne of Hutori since the time of King Henry I, in 3900.
The King is Dead, Long Live the Queen.

Funeral for King Alexander III & Queen Madeline
Hutori laid to rest King Alexander III and Queen Madeline in a stunning ceremony. The King and Queen tragically passed away following the Royal Jet crashing in the Lagard Mountains in the midst of a surprise blizzard in November. There were no survivors of the crash. The funeral was extremely well attended, with prominent guests including the Empress of Kalistan, the Emperor of Istalia, the Emperor of Luthori, the King of Egelion, the Queen of Dolgava, the Premier of Xsampa, the Governor General of Mordusia and their respective spouses, in addition to large international contingents of Ambassadors, and Prime Ministers.
Prime Minister Jason LeClerc took the time to meet privately with his oppose numbers from Luthori, Egelion, Xsampa and Istalia during the visit, while Queen Arianna was reported to have private audiences with the Crown Prince of Egelion and the Emperor of Luthori. There are zero reports on what was spoken between the young Queen and her fellow Monarchs.
Prince James, the Duke of Port Prosperity, and the uncle of Queen Arianna, has reportedly resigned his Ambassadorship to Kalistan and returned to Bekenial full time to assist in advising the Royal Household during the transition. His daughter, Princess Natasha will reportedly be returning to Kalistan to finish her term of National Service. Princess Charlotte, the Princess Royal and Duchess of Aylesbury, has also reportedly coming back from Mordusia to help look after her niece and nephews in the interim.
Queen Arianna Ascends the Throne
![[Image: Arianna_I_of_Hutori.jpeg]](https://static.wikitide.net/classicrpwiki/b/b1/Arianna_I_of_Hutori.jpeg)
Queen Arianna has formally ascended the throne after she was coronated in St. Michaels Catherdral in Bekenial early this morning. The new Queen of Hutori, 22, ascends to the throne as the youngest Monarch in Hutorian history, and indeed as the youngest head of state in Hutorian history. Many royal observers are closely watching the young Queen who, unlike most of her predecessors, does not have the years of preparation to take the throne that even her father King Alexander III had. The young Queen was a student at the Royal University in Eroncourt when she returned to Bekenial, while her two younger brothers, Prince Michael (20), the Grand Duke of Kenai and Prince Eric (18), the Grand Duke of Lagard, are both students at the Royal Bekenial Military College. Other concerns for Queen Arianna, principal amongst them, is that she is unmarried, with Palace insiders worried that she either won't find a spouse, or will only find suitors directly interested in the throne.
On thing that Royal Observers did not, during her coronation, was the ruby gemstone that is around her neck. This particular royal gem, has been unseen in any other photos with any other members of the Royal Family, though experts have noted it looks suspiciously like the Red Diaspora Gem of Elior. It has been common rumor since the 3900s that the House of Steuart-Carmichael came into possession of one of the gems after the fall of the Udinov Dynasty in Trigunia, who were the last known holders of the gem (the Tsarina during the fall was Beatrice, the younger sister of then King Henry I, and her son, Prince Nikolai, was reportedly rescued by Hutorian special forces and spirited back to Hutori.
HTC & Dolgava Sign 10 Billion HLR Deal for Stealth Bombers
The Kingdom of Dolgava and Hutorian defence contractor, Horizon Technology, have signed a comprehensive 10 Billion HLR deal for Horizon to design and construct a quartet of the mythic HB-0 Ghost Stealth Bombers for the Dolgavan Royal Air Force. The deal was shrouded in secrecy for months, as Horizon needed specific permission from the Horizon Arms Export Commission, the regulatory body which oversees all arms sales internationally from Hutorian based company. The HB-0, has long been seen as the apex of Hutorian stealth technology, and the Ghosts used to be one of the cornerstones of the Hutorian nuclear arsenal, launching nuclear equipped ballasitic missiles from them. While the Kingdom of Hutori has destroyed its remaining nukes, the Ghosts have remained in service as a conventional bomber. The new Dolgavan bombers are being designed as the HB-0D Spoks and a variant specifically for Dolgava's needs. This is the second major international contract Horizon's Aerospace Defence Division has gotten in recent years, with Horizon currently supplying KF-18s for the Kalistani Air Force in another multiple billion HLR deal.

Former Prime Minister tapped as Principal Secretary to Queen Arianna
Rosalyn Woodbury taking the Oath of Office from Her Majesty Queen Arianna and His Highness Prince James, Duke of Port Prosperity
In a surprise move, Prime Minister Jason LeClerc has announced that he has recommended former Prime Minister Rosalyn Woodbury to serve as Principal Secretary to the Sovereign, to Her Majesty Queen Arianna, a move that has been accepted by both the Queen and by former Prime Minister Woodbury. The Principal Secretary to the Sovereign, one of the least known, but most important position within Hutori, is the principal advisor and aide to the reigning Monarch. In addition to their duties as head of the Royal Household, they also serve as a Deputy Minister of the Sovereign's Privy Council, and as the senior civil servant within the Hutorian government.
The position, while recommended by the Prime Minister, is one of few positions where they are maintained at the discretion of the reigning Monarch, with some Principal Secretaries ultimately serving near lifetime appointments. Rosalyn Woodbury's appointment has been lauded by those across the political spectrum for her absolute comittment to duty, with within those in the public service happy to see the former PM leading, even after a career of streamlining the civil service.
Rosalyn Woodbury herself is extremely close to the Royal Family, having grown up with Princess Charlotte, and King Alexander III, and serving as the Maid of Honour in Princess Charlotte's wedding.
Hutorian Government Places Open Tender for New Executive Jets Following the Downing of the Royal Jet
The Hutorian Government has put out a rare public tender to replace the fleet of Slipstream IV jets currently used by the Royal Hutorian Air Force as the executive jets utilized by the Royal Family, the Prime Minister and the Lieutenant Governors of the various provinces, and some federal cabinet Ministers. The Royal Hutorian Air Force maintains a fleet of 12 such aircraft though they have beeng grounded since the tragic downing of the royal jet that carried King Alexander III and Queen Madeline in November of 5651. The Hutorian Air Security Transportation Agency, the federal department responsible for federal air standards, ultimately deemed the downing of the Royal Jet, an accident, and an internal audit by the Royal Hutorian Air Force the same. The Royal Jet was caught in a surprise blizzard in the mountains which led to severe mechanical failure. While the RHAF have stated that the Slipstream IVs are safe to fly, the crash did jumpstart an ongoing conversation about replacing them with new modern aircraft.
While local aircraft manufactuers Horizon Technology and Jetstream Aerospace are in the running (Jetstream designed and built the Slipstream series of executive jets) the government of Prime Minister Jason LeClerc wanted to expand the contract internationally to "see everything that it out there." There are reportedly companies in Kalistan and Egelion both interested in offering potential aircraft, and the RHAF also looking potentially at Luthori, Lodamun and Dolgava. Minister of Transportation Rhea Sandhu, has stressed that it is truly an open tender and "any company can win as long as they can provide what we require."
The list of requirements have been standardized, but the need to transport up to 100 people was at the forefront, with an eye on the transportation of VIPs and a total of ten aircraft to be purchased. The first four aircraft of the tender will be designed for the Monarch and the Prime Minister and two spares. The next eight will be shared between various Cabinet level officials for official international visits, and vice regal level staff, like the Lieutenant Governors of the Provinces, who technically report directly to the Crown.
Rumors at DND of Force Reductions
Rumblings have emerged from the Department of National Defence that Minister of National Defence Rachel Grey (Commander RHN Ret.) is reviewing current Hutorian Defence policies with an eye of "significantly downsizing the capacity of the Hutorian Armed Forces." Insiders at the DND have refused comment but sources close to Admiral Thomas Steuart-Carmichael, Chief of the Defence Staff, have reported significant arguments between Senator Grey and his office, though none would confirm.
According to rumor, the LeClerc government is looking at scaling back the size of all four branches of the Hutorian Armed Forces, so they can divert some of DND's not inconsiderble budget to other more domestic matters. While nothing has been confirmed at a minimum, the Greens will be looking at abolishing the Select Service Act, to drastically downsize the size of the Army Reserve, transferring more responsibility for the Reserve and the Militia to the Province, reducing the number of active duty Brigade, scaling back the size of Hutori's Fighter Aircraft Fleet, and axing at least one of the Victoria class Supercarriers. The Hutorian Defence budget is the single biggest line item on the federal budget, and the Defence department has been a target by the Green Party for years.
Opposition has been divided on the rumors, with the Conservatives, Republicans and Crown Party all swearing to tie up any attempts to downsize the Hutorian Armed Forces in Committee and would vote against any budget downsize the Defence budget without "significant consultations". The National Labour Party has offered its full support, but the minority situation in Parliament would force the Greens to get at least one more partner to vote with them, with only the Liberals remaining and Liberal Leader Katelyn Ashcroft reportedly not offering any guarantees until she reads the budget and a bill.
Many defence analysts believe this would not be something that could be done until after the next election, though Senator Grey has stated "We don't need the massive military that won us the Second Kundrati War. We have no enemies, we don't need that level of spending."

Political Earthquakes Hit Hutorian Political Leadership
Prime Jason LeClerc has been sworn in for his second term by Queen Arianna, the first time a government has been formed in her name since her ascension to the throne. LeClerc's second cabinet saw radical shifts with more then half of his Cabinet getting either shuffled to new Portfolios or removed entirely. Many analysts noted that LeClerc's first cabinet was full of political neophytes, with LeClerc widely not even tapping veteran MPs, and appointing a third of his cabinet from the Senate. This turned into a political liability for the Opposition Parties who were able to capitalize on their inability to defend themselves in the House during Question Period. Amongst those remaining is controversal Minister of National Defence Senator Rachel Grey. Grey is a retired Commander with the Royal Hutorian Navy who served during the Second Kundrati War. Grey has been at the center of controversy for alleged plans to cut the size of the Hutorian Armed Forces, with the shuddering of multiple bases, folding of units and the de-commissioning of at least one of the Victoria class Supercarriers.
The Minister may get the chance to carry out parts of her rumored plans as three of Hutori's five Opposition Parties are all looking for new leadership. Conservative Party Leader, and former Prime Minister Mark Dailey, lost his seat in Carter City Fort Carter, to Liberal Clara Wren by four points. Former Woodbury era Finance Mnister, Tasha Ulrich, has been acclaimed as the Interim Leader. This cycle was painful for the Conservatives who slipped to 3rd, their worst electoral showing in 150 years, the last time they were either not either in Government or serving as the Official Opposition. Liam Eddington meanwhile announced he would be stepping down as Leader of the National Labour Party. While his leadership helped staunch the bleeding that began during the Markham era, Eddington and the remain National Labour leadership agreed they needed to renew themselves. Eddington has agreed to stay on as Leader until the National Labour Convention in 5656. The Republicans meanwhile unceremoniously ousted long time Republican leader Marie Kincaid from leadership during their own Post Election Leadership Review, 56% to 44%. Marie Kincaid has served as Republican Leader since 5635 after she ousted Warren Douglas. The Republicans have dragged themselves back to their strongest showing in decades.
Prime Minister Jason LeClerc is expected to try and take advantage of the divided Opposition to push forward with a series of relatively ambitious goals, though newly minted Leader of the Official Opposition Katelyn Ashcroft, has been clear she's not there to "Rubber stamp anything from this government."

Crisis in Kundrati: Hutorian Response Swift as Market Collapse Sparks Riots
Live from Bekenial – November 5656
![[Image: 03_EPL51007_cr.jpg]](https://m3m.cz/wp-content/uploads/2013/02/03_EPL51007_cr.jpg)
Hutorian Embassy in Kaesama
Natalie Visser:
Good evening, Hutori. We are interrupting our regular programming for a Breaking News Special Report — unfolding financial and political chaos in Kundrati tonight has triggered emergency measures at home and abroad. HBC has full team coverage on this developing crisis and the Hutorian government’s swift and measured response. We are going live to Marcelo Devane in Kundrati. Mercelo.
Marcelo Devane:
Thanks Natlie. Tonight, the Kundrati financial system is reeling after a sudden 38% stock market crash triggered a wave of panic withdrawals and banking collapses across the nation. Several major financial institutions have declared bankruptcy, and at least one high-profile executive, Gustav Čech of Viable Bank, has died under suspicious circumstances. Riots have gripped major cities, including Lirnak, where a state of emergency and curfews have been declared after dozens of foreign businesses were torched by furious demonstrators.
This is coming on the back as the Leader of the Fatherland Front, Ludvík Otčenáš delivered a furious speech in Lirnak, blaming international capital, explicitly calling out Luthori and Kalistan, for the collapse. His rhetoric included direct calls to purge foreign influence and restore Kundrati greatness, sparking dangerous ultranationalist fervor. Observers fear the situation could worsen if the crisis deepens or scapegoating continues. Back to you Natalie.
Natalie Visser:
Prime Minister Jason LeClerc met with senior Cabinet and Privy Council officials late last night and has authorized a coordinated, multi-departmental response to the unfolding crisis. The Hutorian International Development Corporation has been authorized to offer low-interest financial assistance to stabilize Kundrati infrastructure and humanitarian programs. Prime Minister LeClerc emphasized it is “support for the people of Kundrati." While the number hasn't been publicly confirmed, rumors are that the total loan package will be one billion Lira in aid.
On the ground Hutorian Forces Base Kobaran, the last active Hutorian military installation in Kundrati, has been placed under Joint Operations Command. Already, medical aid, food supplies, and emergency kits are being flown into affected regions. “We will not abandon those who need our help,” said Brigadier General Carter Berrigan, commander of Hutorian Forces in Kundrati. Hutori maintains a single combat Brigade still in theatre, as the last holdovers of the Second Kundrati War.
On the business end despite the panic, Gold Lion Capital’s Kundrati branches remain sound. GLC executives reaffirmed that the bank operates with full liquidity reserves and is legally required under both Hutorian law and bank charter to guarantee all deposits. GLC CEO Adrian Gallant: “Our position is solid. Our confidence in Kundrati’s people is unshaken.” A spokesperson for Blackwell Technology, a subsidiary of Horizon Tech, confirmed several retail locations in Kundrati were looted or burned. The company is reviewing whether to scale back operations. Blackwell, which is based in Luthori, may have been mistaken as a Luthorian entity during riots.
The Department of Foreign Affairs has issued a Travel Advisory for Kundrati, citing security instability. The Department of International Trade has issued a Yellow Notice warning Hutorian investors of heightened economic risk in the region. While these aren't measures don't prohibit either Hutorian travel or investment in Kundrati, it is a warning.
More as this story develops.

HBC Business News - Hutorian Firms Move Into Open Nadiyan Market
Feb 5657
Traders at Gold Lion Capital, watching the ASX
Acton, Adelia - The ASX had a huge rise earlier today as a series of Hutorian firms were confirmed to be entering into the former Trigunian marketplace.
Air Hutori, Hutori's flagship carrier which covers 90% of all domestic travel within Hutori and widely over Macon, acquired Sky International in a 150 million HLR deal. The deal will see the current fleet of Sky aircraft rebranded with the Air Hutori Logo and slowly replaced by Jetstream Aerospace's venerable Aurora series of passenger aircraft. The knowledge of the acquisition, and the expected orders to Jetstream Aerospace, caused a huge spike in airline and manufacturer issues. Air Hutori Executives have promised that all current routes will be maintained domestically within the six Nadiyan Republics, and there will be an expansion of direct flights between Nadiya and Hutori, with St. Adrian in Kenai being labelled as the air hub. Long term plans for Air Hutori is to use the acquistion of Sky International to further extend its reach and network through Keris as a whole. If successful Air Hutori wants to pivot next into the Artanian and Seleyan markets, for which there are currently only direct flights between Acton and the various national capitals and transit hubs.
Ross Motors meanwhile acquired Trinoromod, one of former Trigunia's most well known car manufacturers. The deal, valued at 3.75 Billion HLR, has seen Ross Motor acquire every plant, the designs for every vehicle, and to take on all current employees. Ross Motor CEO, Brian Forsythe, has stated that Ross will not be laying off any employees of Trinoromod, and will only be bringing in some executives and engineers to begin retooling the plants to produce Ross Motor vehicles, in addition to the current line of vehicles Trinoromod fields. Ross Motor has no intention of stopping the production of any current Nadiyan models and would be reviewing all current plans and designs for future models before making any final determinations.
By far the largest transaction was by energy conglomerate Carter Energy Group. The Carter Energy Group took over both Chadonia, and Svemorod. Chadonia has been taken over directly by the Group's energy extraction division, and has given Hutori access to the massive reserves of Nadiyan oil. Carter Energy has also spun off a new subsidary, Carter Energy-Keris, to take over Svemorod's energy facilities across the Nadiyan constituent republics. The only major changes expected by CEG is an upgrading of the transmission lines, and various technical upgrades to the power plants across Nadiya to bring them up to standard.
THe increases thanks to the Nadiyan acquisitions has wiped out any losses that were seen in Kundrati two months ago, with investors extremely confident in the Hutorian fiscal and economic situation in the north.

HBC BREAKING NEWS - Hutorian Government Prepares Pullout from Kundrati Following "Break Down in Civil Order"
February 5657
Protests gripping central Kundrati
Kaesama, Kundrati — After two decades of military presence, humanitarian aid, and economic development, the Hutorian government is preparing a full-scale exit from Kundrati, signaling the end of twenty years of political detente.
In a sweeping set of directives issued early this morning from the Ministry of Foreign Affair all non-essential personnel at the Embassy in Kaesama and at the Consulate in western Kundrati have been ordered to evacuate the country immediately, as the Embassy is preparing to shutter its operations within days. Ambassador Ken Worthing has already been recalled to Bekenial.
The move comes amid worsening political violence inside Kundrati and the rapid centralization of power by the ruling VKWP, which has drawn comparisons in terms of rhetoric and tactics to the Kundrati Legion. One senior official inside the Prime Minister’s Office, speaking on background, stated. "We've been quiet too long. No longer. It's clear that Kundrati desires it's past. Then we'll leave them to it."
Effective immediately, Foreign Affairs has escalated Kundrati’s travel status to a formal Red Notice, advising all Hutorian citizens to avoid travelling there and encouraging any remaining to leave immediately. According to a statement, the Department stated. "Based on increasingly hostile rheotric to foreign nations, we can not be certain that that angry won't be directed to us, and we can not allow our citizens to take that risk.”
All Hutorian citizens still in Kundrati are being urged to report to Fort Berrigan, with transportation costs being covered by the Department. Fort Berrigan, the last standing Hutorian military base in Kundrati, has been preparing for it's formal closure in April, has now turned into an evacuation point for Hutorian nationals returning to Bekenial. In additional Hutorian national, remaining Luthorian citizens who are in Kundrati have also been diverted there, where safe passage first to Hutori then back to Fort William has been guaranteed by the Hutorian government. Fort Berrigan has become the only exit for these nationals as Air Hutori, Hutori national flag carrier airline, has cancelled any remaining direct flights between Acton, Axminister and Kaesama.
The exit of Hutori hasn't been restricted just to its citizens. Blackwell Technology, the Luthorian based consumer electronics subsidary of Horizon Technology, has closed it's remaining stores and ended it's plans for expansion of the creation of a technology development centre in Kundrati. Blackwell CEO, Sir Anthony Dearwood cited escalating anti-Luthorian sentiment, for the reason for the departure with the company formally announcing its complete divestment from Kundrati, ceasing all operations and liquidating remaining assets.
The stakes have grown even higher for the wider Kundrati economy with rumors that Gold Lion Capital, the last major international financial institution still operating in Hutori, and a bank closely affilated with the Hutorian Royal Family, is preparing to end all operations in Kundrati. This is in spite of receiving assurances from the VKWP regarding require bullion stores needed to keep branches open.
“The risk environment is simply no longer tolerable,” said one GLC board member, speaking anonymously. “You can’t transact in a place where laws change by the week and armed factions answer to no one.”
While officials at GLC aren't confirming anything, sources close to Lady Margaret Steuart-Carmichael, a cousin to Her Majesty Queen Arianna, the current Managing Director of Gold Lion's International Banking Division, has become increasingly unhappy with the domestic political situation with the "risk factors now massively outweighing any profit considerations." GLC's branches current remain open, and their banks solvent with a spokesperson for the bank stating. "If we were going to close up shop, we would give our customer more then enough time to fully close their accounts and transfer their funds to a domestic bank of their choosing."
While nothing has been heard from Carter Energy Artania, the subsidiary that operates and owns approximately 19% of Kundrati's power grid, there are rumors that they are equally as unhappy, and worried about potential nationalization of the nuclear power plants, they rebuilt and now operate for the Kundrati people.
At the heart of this exodus is Fort Berrigan, home to the 3rd Armoured Brigade – “Crimson Resolve.” First to land during Operation Lighthouse, the Brigade is now the last Hutorian military unit on Kundrati soil and preparing to withdraw in full. Under Brigadier-General Mira Talbot, a veteran of three tours, the Brigade has begun the final phase of evacuating civilian allies, decommissioning heavy equipment, and preparing the base for destruction to prevent strategic capture. A classified memo leaked to HBC outlines that all Hutorian property left behind is to be rendered inoperable or destroyed, with base demolition scheduled within 72 hours of final withdrawal.

Bekenial, Hutori — In a surprise morning announcement from Newport Castle, Prime Minister Jason LeClerc formally requested that Queen Arianna dissolve Parliament, triggering a federal election on April 14th a full month ahead of the expected schedule. LeClerc, who was joined on the palace step by his members of his inner circle, and his campaign chair Avery Bishop, framed the decision as “a clear-eyed response to domestic and global upheaval.” Among the issues he cited: the complex fallout from the Kundrati withdrawal, stalled defence reforms, and persistent economic challenges.
“Hutorians deserve a fresh mandate,” LeClerc declared. “Let’s give the public the choice they deserve.”
The Queen granted the writ moments later, sending the capital, and the country, into full campaign mode.
Green Leader and Prime Minister Jason LeClerc left Bekenial for his hometown of Constantine in Lagard to kick off the Green campaign. The Prime Minister is seeking a third mandate, and he's hoping for his first majority. The Greens are currently leading in the polls, but have been stagnant, without them able to make any breakthroughs. While there was some boost, after LeClerc's decisve actions against Kundrati, the continued deficits, botched National Defence reforms, the Greens overpromising and massively under delivering have soured the coalition they have cobbled together that has allowed them to form government. There is also the issue of LeClerc himself; Jason LeClerc has been Green Party Leader since 5627, and an MP just as long, and is the longest serving federal leader. Voter fatigue has long set in, and if LeClerc is able to kick the trends it would be considered a small political miracle.
Unlike in 5654, where the Opposition was tired and still relatively disunited, the Opposition that LeClerc is facing now is no longer what it was four years ago. Katelyn Ashcroft, the Leader of the Liberal Party, has led the Liberals to within striking distance of the governing Greens, and is in a statisitcal tie with PM. Ashcroft, who kicked off her campaign in her hometown of Wrightstown in Kenai, has offer a return to true political stability, with the Liberals under having firmly reclaimed the centre. The Conservatives, under former Adelia Premier Melissa Houston, has seemingly stopped the bleeding to the Crown and Republican Parties that the Conservatives have been dealing with. Many analysts believe that the Conservatives would be a much strong situation if it were for continued weakness with the Dailey brand, the relative strength of the Republicans and Crown Party, and the fact Houston doesn't have a seat in the House yet. She's kicked off the federal Conservative campaign in Glentingham, a traditional stronghold for the Houston family.
This election will be National Labour Leader Clara Robeson first true federal campaign. The 23 year old MLA from the Isle of Sutton, is seen as a rockstar, whose victory in the National Labour Party Leadership election, despite coming from Hutori's smallest and least populous province, was considered a true breakthrough for labour, youth and the next generation. Robeson is seeking one of the Isle of Sutton's seat in Sutton City, but is running against the entrenched the inherit strength of the governing Greens. Analysts are closely watching her campaign to see if she can build any momentum into pushing National Labour out of the electoral wilderness.
Both the Republicans, under Avery Dandridge, and the Crown Party, under Lord Jacob Williams, have pivoted to much smaller regional based campaign, focusing on a small number of seats to expand their respective caucuses; the Crown Party is seemingly focusing on a handful of seats in rural Adelia to obtain those all important 12 seats in Parliament, offering them official party status, while also looking at St. Adrian and Constantine in Kenai and Lagard respectfully, which are considered royalist friendly cities. The Republicans meanwhile are focusing on Kenai and Roccato, which are considered the most Republican friendly provinces in the country.
More as the election develops.
