Days after sacking Toivo Meri, the Queen spoke to the media in a press conference and has announced that she will be appointing the current ambassador of Kalistan, Irmantis Arnolds as a caretaker Prime Minister, until elections are held early next year. The Prime Minister will officially be Independent, not affiliated with any party, and will oversee the country, until elections can be held. The Queen noted in her conference that he has "respect from not only domestic politicians, but has respect overseas", and stated that he will ensure "stability, and a peaceful transition of power" for Dolgava.
Irmantis Arnolds the soon to be caretaker Prime Minister of Dolgava
Most have praised the decision outside of Conservative circles, many Conservative politicians are angry that they were not appointed to Prime Minister, and that the Queen chose an outsider that is not connected to the Conservative Party, or connected to the corrupt Government. Especially with the former Prime Minister, soon to be on trial. The elections will soon be called, and the parties will once again face off against each other to see who will form the next Government.

Dolgava has elected the Dolgavas Sociāldemokrātiskā Partija (DSP) to a massive majority. The election which was forecasted to be a Red Wave, was more than most imagined. For the Conservatives, it was a bitter night, with their party in shambles, and their former Prime Minister, now facing jail time.
For the DSP, it was a magical night, at their watchparty in Aikums, the crowd started out excited, and soon excitement turned into a massive party. They not only took the country by storm but they elected Irēna Niedra as the Mayor of Aikums, and they swept local elections across the country. In the Reiksaima, it was a disasterous night for the Conservatives, but comeback night for both the DSP and the DPP. the results and seat count are as follows
Quote:
DPP: 24.90% - 47 seats
DKP: 12.02% - 23 seats
DSP: 63.06% - 119 seats
Others/Independents: 0.1% - 0 seats
When the DSP majority was announced, the current Leader of the Opposition, but soon to be Prime Minister Bonaventūra Krauze walked on the stage in front of her supporters and declared that a "new age for Dolgava" had begun. She wore her now trademark red outfit and was clearly overjoyed by the result. The DSP and Krauze have campaigned on increasing government transparency, ditching most of their "soft Socialism" platform, to focus on bringing about transparent and normal governance back to Dolgava. She has been praised now as the savior of the Dolgavan left, and the person who brought about a majority government for the Social Democrats, who have not held governance in nearly a century.
She was supremely confident in her ability and she has been very clear about her plans. She has stated that a DSP government will "work for Dolgavans, not for their own shady companies". She has been clear that the Prime Minister position as it stands has too much power, and her plan includes creating a second chamber of the legislature, as well as limiting the power of the Prime Minister, to stop what happened with the former Prime Minister, from happening again.
The DSP will have a massive majority government and Krauze has promised to bring change to Dolgava. For Dolgava it will be a new Government, with new ideas and a new vision for the country.

The Dolgavan Prime Minister, signed an order for the Ministry of Justice, overnight under the "foreign threats to the Kingdom Act", to immediately allow the Ministry of Justice to seize all assets owned by the citizens of the Legionary State of Kundrati, companies inside of the Legionary State, and ambassadors and politicians of the Legionary State, that are in Dolgava. Assets include, all monetary assets, property and all material possessions.
Special teams tasked by the Ministry of Justice, spent the overnight hours both online, and on the ground seizing assets from Legionary citizens in Dolgava, and all companies tied with the Legionary Kundrati state. The assets will be seized and collected, and they will be handed to the Kundrati Union, with 80% of the funds going to help rebuild Extea, and 20% going to Dolgavan investment into the Kundrati Union.
In a press conference Krauze called the chemical attack by the Fascist state of Legionary Kundrati "a war crime" and has pledged the support of the Kingdom of Dolgava to the people of the Kundrati Union. The Prime Minister spoke at length about the Dolgavan response to the heinous chemical attacks by Fascist Kundrati by saying
Quote:We will not stand idle while weapons of mass destruction rain down on innocent people. The people of Dolgava stand with Extea, and we stand against the tyranny of the Legionary Kundrati state. We will ensure that any Legionary citizens in our country, face consequences for the actions of them and their government in the slaughter of thousands of innocent people, who do not want to live in a hellscape tyrannical dictatorship..."
Later in her statement she said that
Quote:I have spoken with the President of Kundrati, Mr. Nero, and we will be providing aid and support to Extea. As a world, we must stand against insanity, and for human life and dignity. We will not let chemical weapons hit any more civilians, it is as simple as that.
The Dolgavan Government will soon be inviting Mark Wilson the Kundrati Health Minister, to Dolgava to discuss the aid that will be going to the people of Extea, and talking about Dolgava supporting the Kundrati Union, through investment and aid during the long term.

The Prime Minister of Dolgava, Bonaventūra Krauze announced today her plan to initiate sweeping reforms, to reform the Dolgavan government, and limit the power of the Prime Minister. Her plan will be to give Reiksaima, and the legislature more power, by creating a second house of Parliament, and to give more power to the Dolgavan monarch. This may seem like a move to empower the monarch, and subvert democracy, however most Dolgavans trust the Queen and the monarchy, more than the Prime Minister, who holds too much power, and the people want to ensure that a politician like Toivo Meri, cannot take advantage of the position anymore.
Krauze's plan is multifaceted, and has broad support across her party. The first would create a second chamber. This chamber would be elected by the Dolgavan people, with members being appointed from the Prime Minister and the reigning monarch as well. This chamber, would keep the Prime Minister in check, by reviewing laws signed by the Prime Minister, and giving that chamber the ability to send legislation back to the Reiksaima, if they do not see it fit. This chamber will work with the Reiksaima in passing legislation, and will be the last rung of a bills ladder. As it stands now, the Prime Minister makes the final say, but with the introduction of a second chamber, positioned above the PM in the process, it would keep the PM in check.
Also Krauze has announced that she would like the powers of the Dolgavan monarch expanded, giving her the ability to fire any cabinet minister. Usually a Prime Minister could do this, but if you get a case like Toivo Meri, corruption would overrule the Dolgavan constitution. This way, a monarch can fire a rotten apple, without completely firing the entire government.
Krauze has also considered other reforms that she said she will "highlight at another date" but said that the reforms to make a second legislature, will give more power to the Dolgavan people, and less to "corruption and chaos". This move will solidify her campaign of cutting the power of the executive in Dolgava, and ensuring that checks and balances exist.

Dolgavan Prime Minister Bonaventūra Krauze had a summit in Xsampa today, to finalize a free trade agreement between Dolgava and Xsampa. The deal comes as Krauze's government has been expanding Dolgava's trade horizons, with more emphasis being placed on states that Dolgava historically has had little access or interactions with. Krauze's visit was very good, and provided the press with details about the meetings, as well as Dolgava's plans in the future for this agreement.
Krauze spoke with the media telling them that
Quote:I am deeply excited to be here in Xsampa, to finalize this trade deal, which has been in the works for a significant amount of time. It is our hope that trade barriers across borders, and across continents fall, and Xsampa is yet another country where tariffs have fallen to the wayside. Xsampa is a vibrant nation, with a strong culture and a resilient people, and I am glad that we will be working with them as trading partners for many years to come.
As for companies seeking to do business in Xsampa, they must abide by local laws and such, but the government is leaving that up top the private sector to work out, and leaving lots of freedom in the hands of companies. This did not stop Krauze from encouraging businesses to seek closer ties to Xsampa, she continued saying
Quote:I have been speaking with the government here, and I must say that I have been treated very well, and they have been extremely gracious to the Dolgavan delegation present. I think Dolgavan companies will soon realize that doing business here is worth it, and there are many mutual benefits that we both share, there are many goods and services that can be easily traded back and forth, and we will both benefit greatly from this.
Krauze mentioned that she will be spending a couple of more days in Xsampa, before leaving, and overall her impression with Xsampa has been nothing short of satisfaction. For Dolgava, getting rid of trade barriers has worked in the past across continents, and with Xsampa joining the list of nations, on extremely good terms with Dolgava, it opens Dolgava up to more of Terra's trade and economy, for the better

The Reiksaima has grown the powers of the Dolgavan monarch, by once again, having the Dolgavan Queen or King, be the commander in chief of the Dolgavan armed forces, taking the absolute title from the Dolgavan Prime Minister, and weakening the absolute power of the Prime Minister. The decision comes at the urging of the Social Democratic government, who is actively trying to weaken the position of Prime Minister, as the PM has been historically the most powerful person in the country by far. By having Queen Jaanika become the Commander in Chief, it will keep the Prime Minister's power of declaring war, at random in check.
The Reiksaima debated this for almost a year, with many motions being voted on and failing. However the final agreement gives overall command to Queen Jaanika, in which she will have the ability to have the final say on declaring wars, and she will be involved in all national security briefings. She will be apart of all meetings to do with the Dolgavan Ministry of Defense and will be an active participant in national security discussions. The agreement has been approved by the Queen, and it is clear that she wants to take part in the negotiations.
With the Queen becoming the commander in chief of the armed forces, Dolgava is returning to its roots, when the monarch controlled the army and navy and air force, and this is being done in the name of Government transparency and rooting out executive corruption that has plagued Dolgava in the past. By creating checks and balances, it is helping Dolgava to have a more balanced government.

The Crown Prince of Dolgava has begun to take very limited official engagements as Crown Prince, of course when he is not in school. This comes as scheduled, due to to the fact that Dolgavan royals are usually brought up around the system when they are young, as to teach them how to be the monarch of Dolgava. For Prince Kazimierz, he has been alongside his mother at official functions and spoke briefly at the annual Royal Ball, thanking everyone for attending.
Prince Kazimierz has done well in his schooling, recording high grades in Math, writing and other classes. He has also been very active in youth organizations and is active in sports. He enjoys going skiing and has taken an interest to skiing at a high level. Kazimierz is expected to continue to learn, while enjoying his childhood, in a balance that gets him ready to eventually become leader of Dolgava, but at the same time, enjoying his childhood in a safe and comfortable environment.
Sources close to the Royal Palace describe the crown prince as "charming, witty and a future leader". They also said that he will "be more than capable of retaining dignity and grace in the Dolgavan Royal Family".

Elections have come and gone, and the Social Democrats have expanded their already large majority. The leadership of Prime Minister Bonaventūra Krauze has steered Dolgava with a steady hand, and the people of Dolgava are very content with the leadership of the Social Democrats.
Quote:
DPP: 23.8% - 45 seats
DKP: 11.1% - 21 seats
DSP: 65.1% % - 123 seats
Others/Independents: 0.1% - 0 seats
Bonaventūra Krauze and her party had expected to win, and to win in similar margins of victory as 5 years ago, however in a situation that has not happened in decades, the ruling party has expanded their majority. This is a major win for the Social Democrats, and has further bolstered calls for more progressive reform inside of Dolgava. Krauze made a statement today calling for a renewed push for reform in Dolgava, especially as those in her party are calling for promises to be made she said
Quote:Change does not happen overnight. Change can be slow, but tonight the people of Dolgava have given me and this government a mandate to shape Dolgava to a better, more prosperous state for all Dolgavans. Together we will push for a child tax credit, and guaranteed maternity leave for all Dolgavan workers. Together we will push finally for Universal Healthcare for all Dolgavan citizens. Together we will ensure that wages are fair, and that the working and middle class are protected. Together we will form a second legislature, and ensure that government transparency and accountability are what drives the decisions of this nation's leaders. Together we will stand with our allies against Fascism, and we will stand against tyranny. Together we will continue to do all of this, and I thank you all for the confidence and support!
The Social Democrats have done something that few governments have done in decades, and expanded their majority. This comes as Dolgavans support the government as tensions continue to rise worldwide, especially in Artania. To support the existing government is a clear sign that Dolgavans want stability and a competent government.

In a rare September snow, the Reiksaima was busy in a heated debate on whether to join Hutori, in joining the ongoing Kundrati War. We do little be explaining the cause or the reasons for the war, as our viewers know it full well by now, however, as the Kingdom of Hutori and the Kingdom of Dolgava are in an alliance that is thousands of years old, the Dolgavan government feels that Dolgava should follow Hutori's lead and join the war against the Legionary Kundrati state.
The Prime Minister Bonaventūra Krauze has made it clear that Fascism cannot be tolerated, and that the Dolgava should support Hutori at all costs, but many inside of the Reiksaima hold a differing opinion. Conservative MP's feel that it should not be the business of the Dolgava to meddle in the affairs of Artania, and that declaring war, would further destabilize the conflict. Furthermore, with the Queen of Dolgava now having the final say, it will be up to her on the final decision. She has been apart of emergency cabinet meetings for days, as Dolgava monitors the ongoing conflict.
Social Democrats widely support war, as a means of freeing Kundrati from a regime that has been active in crimes against humanity. The DBC made a poll that showed that 53% of Dolgavans support joining the war, with 46% not supporting it. Krauze has incredible popularity, and has been a stable and competent leader, so her approval ratings could take a plunge if Dolgava gets itself wrapped up in the conflict. For now talks are still ongoing, but it seems like war is the only reasonable path forward for Dolgava. Supporting Hutori would ensure further build alliances, and grow Dolgava's presence worldwide, but at the cost of potential lives. something that the opposition has been clear about over the past 24 hours. Dolgava is holding it's breath, waiting for the results of the Government, will they join or not?
