Parliament votes for the restoration of the constitution, and the military lifts martial law. Putilova resigns from the Council as the NCEFT gears up for elections in NEK and Nadiya: a return to normalcy?

Zarvospol, Kozacchyna. Ever since the declaration of war against Kizenia and New Endralon, Nadiya has been under martial law with the constitution suspended and a militaro-civilian government taking the reins. At the same time, Parliament remained active to ensure checks and balances were respected. Yet it has been 2 years since all military offensives were halted in NEK and with the recent fall of the Kizenian capital, the three houses of Parliament gathered in Zarvospol in an extraordinary session and unanimously agreed to lift the state of war thus dismantling martial law and restoring full civilian rule to the Confederation alongside ordering the Nadiyan Commission for Electoral Fairness and Transparency to begin the preparations for elections in both Nadiya and the Northern NEK Democratization Zone. Furthermore, all members of the presidential council alongside President Putilova resigned citing the need for change in leadership and their having extended their terms for far too long because of the war, shortly after, the vice presidents of the 5 biggest confederal parties were elected into the council while HMDP and FJIP appointed their respective additional presidents to lead the nation temporarily until the holding of the general elections scheduled for the year 5584 with the 5th confederal elections scheduled for 5690 as authorized by the constitution. The Constitutional Convention, which was originally elected only 2 years before the start of the war, has also begun functioning normally, and constitutionalists went back to the assembly building to draft a new Nadiyan constitution that must fit the new economic, social, and political conditions generated from the war. Many are now demanding a modification of the economic clause in the constitution to help the Confederation correctly restore its economy and build back trust with international markets, especially Vamaj, since a significant part of the oil was diverted to supply the war effort. Finally, the NGA and assembly in Endraváros held two votes to dissolve the government of the zone and hold the first direct presidential elections in the zone to elect a brand new Országgyűlés and new governor of the zone, Barta has already announced her intentions to run for the presidential race on a liberal Metzist platform which will focus on turning the zone into a communist model with truly democratic mechanisms, Ivan on the other hand hasn't openly stated his intention to run for re-election but the liberals within the zone want him to run to at least ensure that the voting paper isn't dominated by radical and moderate leftists.

Nadiya declares victory over NEK as the junta capitulates, and exiled political figures move to the Zone: after the bullets come the praises.

Zoetergraaf, Brakav.  In a stunning development to the Kerisian War, the Kizenian junta has officially capitulated to the joint forces of Egelion, Nadiya, and their allies, the FIA, following the fall of their forces to Egelian forces. The announcement was met with ecstatic joy in Nadiya as soldiers at the frontline lowered their guns. Border checkpoints began processing refugees moving into and out of the Nadiyan zone. The presidential council didn't take long to respond to the surrender by hosting the biggest military parade in the history of Nadiya alongside awarding military and civilian personnel medals for their bravery and participation in the war, with every soldier being granted the Medal for the Defense of Democracy while civilians were given the Medal for the Upholding of Internationalism. In addition, the council announced that parliament will hold extraordinary sessions with the Central Bank of Nadiya to come up with an effective economic redressment plan because the Nadiyan economy had retracted by an average of 6.3% during the war since factories were mobilized for the war, oil was diverted to supply the frontline, and international partners were cautious of sailing toward Nadiya because of the naval battles in the Pass of Deliverance. On the other hand, the constitutional convention has declared their intention to urgently address both the monarchy and economic model amendments following the war and occupation of territories that grant the citizens of NEK living under the zone the same rights and privileges as Nadiyan citizens as authorized by the Supreme Cooperative Court ruling in 5656 that allowed for Chaek Baek and the deposed Baltusian dictator to become members of the NGA and full citizens of Nadiya; alongside the local authorities anchoring the unmovable principles of the World Congress chart of Human rights, has put pressure to readjust the supreme law of Nadiya to meet the unprecedented circumstances the nation finds itself in. Furthermore, the governor of the Democratization Zone Ivan Macek has declared that 1730 political figures have came back to NEK and actively became parts of local governance as part of his government's agenda to bring back all exiled political figures that left because of the coup in NEK, Endraváros alongside the entire zone now has developed a colorful political environment with the exodus of exilees back to the zone has caused the rise of hundreds of new parties with most of them being left wing or centrist while the others are made up of conservatives and liberals, it's still unclear how Nadiya and the locals in the Democratization Zone will handle this wave of migration, but it sure will reshape NEK politics for the foreseeable future.

Eva Maria Frolova defeats HMDP candidate for the presidential council in a historic upset on a platform of internationalism and socialist reforms, Hosians maintain their majority in the CoN & COJ: an Egelian at the helm


Zarvospol, Kozacchyna. Chuprakova Ruslana Zakharovna, the HMDP candidate and  Putilova protegee, was seen as the clear favorite for the post confederal elections scheduled by the NCEFT but it seems that pollsters forgot to ask a lot of Nadiyans about their voting intentions as Eva Maria Frolova has been declared winner of the presidential election. The news shocked everybody across Nadiya since Maria was considered the underdog of this election with her campaign mainly focusing on talking and holding rallies in rural areas which used to be the PAN's biggest support base before the magenta wave that swept the country in the last two elections. Through a series of meet and greets, social media stunts, and pure populist rethoric, Eva managed to secure the presidency with a historic 68,3% of the vote with a record breaking turn out of 94% following the adoption of a PAN motion making voting mandatory and anyone who didn't go vote being fined a hefty fine of 2000 NRB and 5000 NRB for recedevers, her victory marks the nation's tiredness from 14 years of HMDP rule and conservatism especially when it comes to the issue of men's rights during a time where the nation is holding its second constitutional convention that will determine the fate of the confederation. Furthmore, during her congratulations speech, Eva Maria reaffirmed her commitment to Nadiyan people by saying, 

It is a great honor to know that the people of Nadiya have elected me as the head of the presidential council for the upcoming 10 years, but I would like to affirm to everyone that my promises to make Nadiya a nation that treats everyone fairly and justly will be implemented after government negotiations are held and hopefully my colleague from Haivan alongside the other 5 council members will let us make Nadiya a better place for both us and the people of Terra

Shortly after her speech, the electoral commission released the results for the legislative and those saw the collapse of the HMDP from 44% of the votes to 25% while the People's Alliance for Nadiya rose from their low 13% to an amazing 30% of the votes and making them the second biggest political force in the NGA. However, the HMDP managed to hold onto their majorities in the chambers of Nations and Justice, this means that the HMDP will be forced to enter into a collation government with PAN and implement their socialist agenda. Now what's left is for the new members of the NGA to be down in and for Liliana Thaller to try and remain in her post as long as possible.

Even tho it has been nearly two years since the last confederal elections and investiture of the 5th regular session of the Nadiyan General Assembly, the HMDP and PAN were in a tight round of negotiations to install a new government despite Liliana's government acting as caretaker during the negotiations. Both parties agreed on the necessity to reform the Nadiyan economy in coordination with the central bank and the still ongoing constitutional convention who will determine the fate of the socialized economic model and they also introduced a bunch of social reforms into their government agenda with the aim of trying to equalize the difference between the male and female genders. Not only that, but the communists also requested for the passage of a massive financial reform law after getting approved by the central bank but the hopes of those reforms passing will depend greatly on the mood of the governor and her own agenda for the confederation after the conclusion of the war against NEK. However, with all these challenges facing the new coalition,  they still managed to secure a majority in the NGA with the help of the FJIP after they agreed to back up the government per the supply and confidence agreement they have with HMDP and Haivan's relatively healthy economy being the least affected from the war effort back in 83. Liliana Keitel Thaller second government was proportionally divided with PAN, some commissions were handed them such as the Nadiyan Commission for Sexual Emancipation and Gender Equality while the most important commissions such as the Commission for Finances, Public Spending, and Monetary Smartness remained under the helm of the HMDP since they are seen as more trustworthy by the markets compared to the Communists and social revolutionaries. With the government finally being approved with the promises from the ANCP to liberalize the economy, the markets reacted positively given that Keitel's second term as Chief Executive is another testament to Nadiya exceptional and unique stability as the only true democracy in Keris, some have compared Nadiya's stability to the likes of Dundorf minus confederal elections happening every 5 years but everything looks good for this upcoming administration.

Central Bank triggers article 51st of the constitution to impose harsh spending cuts alongside sweeping banking and financial reforms: the banker of Nadiya strikes once again

Petrograd, Kozacchyna. In a major development to the Nadiyan debt crisis, the governor of the Central Bank, Evelina Maximovna, has announced the triggering of article 51st of the constitution which grants the bank unchecked powers in "times of financial uncertainty coming from the civilian elected governement of the Confederation following a considerable reformation of the Confederation's institutions or the events leading to the management of an economico-social environment in the aftermaths of a subtile or explicit armed conflict that would lead to the Nadiyan people and their livelihoods be affected from the fallout generated by said armed conflicts." This close was specifically added to address the consequences that came from the Second Trigunian War and the unprecedented level of devastation generated from it, as such, the Central Bank has officially taken the reigns of the budget with the tacit approval of the Supreme Cooperative Court and the Commission for Humane Development whose chairman hailed the decision on social media as a "proof to the NCB's unwavering commitment to financial and banking stability no matter which party or government is in charge." Shortly after the declaration was made, representatives from the government were sent to discuss with the NCB on a reasonable proposal for the 87 budget, the central bank was strict in its demands to drastically cut funds allocated to the NCMAM and the NCECPSN whose budget they deem "unnecessarily high and way out of touch for the economic situation the Confederation finds itself in", on top of that, the bank found that many of the once blacklisted financial institutions went back to the black market and underground financial schemes even after the NCB spent more than a decade cracking down on those institutions just to stabilize the Nadiyan Ruble and grant it international recognition as a stable currency. Furthmore, both the NCB's board of directors and the CHD committee for rational development have both agreed on the necessity for Nadiya to either greatly reduce its presence in the Vamaj network or to leave it entirely because their eyes "Nadiya has more to lose from remaining in the sinking ship that is Vamaj than it has benefits remaining as part of a desperate attempt to salvage it after the Migrants Pass fiasco and unease that hit the Nadiyan stock markets due to the stacking of effects from the Kerisian war and the Vamaj crisis". The government agreed on the necessity to carry out those two demands alongside a new derooting campaign against financial institutions involved in those back door deals, they also accepted to flip the current 6% deficit into a financial surplus through a massive cut to the military, which still maintained their giant share even after the conclusion of the Kerisian war. For the time being, the central bank will most likely remain in control of the Nadiyan budget to the light of bankers and economists across the globe, but will the duke of the NCB ever relinquish her control over the Confederation's finances after tasting power for a second time in her term?

NGA narrowly rejects the government's bid to exist Vamaj but approves the budget for 87 alongside economic liberalization laws: the toxic relationships lives on

Zarvospol, Kozacchyna. For what felt like an eternity for economists across Nadiya, the Nadiyan General Assembly finally studied the government's amendment in the 5687 budget concerning a potential departure of the Nadiyan Confederation from the Vamaj petroleum network. The amendment was first seen by the opposition controlled Chamber for Finances before being sent to the Chamber of Economic Development, having a quick pass by the Chamber of Social Affairs and Cohesion, and finally landing in the Chamber of Energy Production and Fossil Fuel Exploitation, even tho the amendment was already stripped of most of its importance such as the immediate departure of Nadiya becoming a 4 month deliberation period with the central bank and the oil companies within the country. Yet even this violated and hollowed amendment was rejected by the NGA is a very very narrow vote with 230 voting in favor while 232 voted against it and given how the majority threshold during that session was set at 231, the nays won and shelved this law indefinitely with the Chamber of Nations siding with the NGA mainly due to the HMDP voting against Nadiya's departure from Vamaj arguing that a departure of Nadiya from the network would just Let Vascania and their Yeudi allies set the prices of oil at whatever price they want and Nadiya's presence acts as a counterweight to the madmen over at Amudin, Nadiya would also lose a considerable portion of its outreach toward Dovani and Artania especially since the partnership with Egelion wouldn't be able to cover the damages that would've been caused by a potential exit. Even tho the Vamaj amendment was killed early, the government sponsored budget for the fiscal year 87 has been approved swiftly with a comfortably majority in both Chambers without the use of a MPC which includes massive funding cuts for the military alongside decrease of pension allocations which have seen their defiscalization lifted and monetary execution suspended in favor of tax hikes on the rich alongside an extension of funds to confederal initiatives aimed at making life more affordable in Nadiya. Furthermore, the budget also included a bunch of amendments loosening some of the government's tight regulations such as the one imposed on the stockmarkets and environmental laws except for the ones in Haivan given that was a necessary part of the deal to have the FJIP back the Publica Finances Law Project but also respect the constitutional requirements for guaranteed safe workspaces and rights given that any attempts to attack those would immediately have the budget censored and the one for the previous year be applied. Yet with all these changes to the PFLP, according to the Nadiyan Commission of Accounting and Public Spending, the confederacy is expected to be flip its 7% deficit into a 3 or 3,6% surplus and finally allow for both the government and NCB to begin paying off Nadiya's debt and bring it back down to an excellent 25 to 30% debt-to-GDP ratio.

Tsarina Anastasia abdicates in favor of her daughter citing old age and fatigue, coronation ceremony to be synchronized with Egelion's: two siblings for one empire

In addition to that, the Tsarina announced that the coronation of the new Tsarina will be synchronized with the ascension of Prince Leon to the Egelian throne as a symbol of unity, trust, and kinship between Nadiya and Egelion as the two siblings will govern simultaneously with many already suspecting that the Tsarina's oddly close abdication announcement to the one of King Artemio in Egelion, and the synchronization of the coronations has already made Nadiyans suspect that something major is in the works between Zoetergraaf and Altea especially with the monarchy in NEK falling under the grip of the Egelian-Nadiyan royal family, but it remains to be determined what will happen once the grand dual coronations happen under the gaze of millions of eager eyes from all over Terra. Finally, in her statement, Anastasia put a focus that her abdication as Tsarina doesn't mean that she will step away from political life, instead she reaffirmed that she will remain politically active by quoting late Tsarina Maria who said, "I would rather live the rest of my life and die as a representative of the people than die as an old hag on a throne made of blood and betrayals. Digital ID and update of governmental websites as the government pushes for rapid and efficient digitalization, NCECPSF creates knownadiya.gov.ny: smile for the camera!

During the annual Summit for Nadiyan Innovation and Start Up Exposure, the government has announced their intention to implement digital ID all across Nadiya after small localized experiments have shown great results. This comes amidst talks within the Thaller administration to streamline the accessibility of governmental websites and cut down on bureaucracy by imposing a transition toward an all digital management of papers, documents, and civilian affairs. Already parts of the digitalization program have been implemented through the creation of apps dedicated to handling the procedures of universities and higher schools alongside the Nadiyan Postal Service transferring some of its services such as money withdrawal and check transfer into its online app PosMob, those two projects have reported excellent results in the form of academic procedures being far more quick, teachers being able to more easily contact their students, estimated wait time in postal offices decreasing by 46%, and a far quicker delivery of checks to their recipients.however, those apps still suffer from some major bugs such as Uni students sometimes finding themselves logged out of their accounts by accident.sn incorrect tracking of university busses and their esteemed times of arrival, and checks being rejected even tho they aren't falsified, those issues were addressed by the government who swore to "upgrade and heighten the experience of our users on those apps as efficiently as human possible"." Nadcomp & Nadyrail reveal joint project to connect Nadiya with mainland Keris as part of economic talks in the new empire, the NCB approves and praises the project: Keris's brand new veins

Following the proclamation of the Kerisian Empire during the synchronized coronations of Tsarina Carolina and King Leon, Nadiyan companies have already started scrambling for the new economic opportunities given to them by this proclamation especially King Leon's declaration about his vision for an integrated empire where citizens of Nadiya, Kizenia and New Endralon, and Egelion will be able to move freely and their goods fly between borders without tariffs. Even tho no formal economic agreement has been negotiated between the members of the empire, the Nadiyan Petroleum and Natural Gas Compound, Nadcomp, CEO Lermontova Roksana has already made clear her company's intention to build a trans kerisian pipeline and gazoduc network connecting Nadiya with the rest of Keris which would give the company a very favorable advantage over its competitors such as the lodamunese owned Neftkomp, and the Lourennais owned PetroRoyale as the top oil exporter and most profitable fossil fuel corporation in the archipelago. Shortly after that declaration, the CEOs of Nadcomp and Nadyrail, aka the Nadiyan Corporation for Rail and Iron Tracks, Lermontova Roksana and Kyon So-Ri respectively, held a press conference at the HQs of Nadcomp where they announced the official start of construction efforts on the Bridge of Kerisian Unity, this massive project involving companies from both NEKK and Egelion, the 5 kilometers long bridge will consist of two parts, the first part being a suspension bridge spanning 1 km connecting mainland NEKK to a nearby island linking the first part to the  second part of the bridge being an underground tunnel leading to confederal highway N13 leading to the Confederal capital Petrograd. Furthmore, the bridge is part of a more global project to build a trans-kerisian network of pipelines and railways that will both connect each member of the empire to one another but also cover the oil, gas, and energy needs of both NEK and Egelion by offering them a direct link to Nadiya massive and vaste oil reserves which allows them to buy their oil for a dirt cheap price alongside addressing the worry of regional conflicts affecting their energy supplies since they have one of the world's 4 major oil producers right at their doorstep. In addition to the oil, the promised trans-kerisian railway will allow for goods to quik ly move between the major hubs of each nation and also help NEKK in their reconstitution effort since they won't have to rely so heavily on the war damaged road network and affected ports, saving them time, money, and effort that can be spent elsewhere in more critical parts of the country. Finally to seal the deal, the Nadiyan Central Bank has given their stamp of approval for the project and even describing as a "promising project who will bring countless riches to all of Keris alongside cementing the continent's position as a major hub for trade and part of the axis dominating the world of finance and business in Terra."
