NGA approves 13B NRB agricultural and food relief program for NEKK as Nadyrail & Nadcomp reveal their continent wide "prosperity veins": food, petrol, and trains

Ever since the first Nadiyan troops landed on the shores of NEKK, the confederation has been dedicated to assisting the tripartite kingdom and its citizens through reconstruction be it through the establishement of the NEKK Reparations and Reconstruction Fund and the famous Metzist oriented  5 year economic plans launched by the governor of the Nadiyan zone in the hopes of lifting up the average citizens by guaranteeing them a home, food, and employment which made many see the direct presence of Nadiya in NEKK as beneficial to the country and now Nadiya reaffirmed it's commitment toward NEKK by passing a historic 13 billion ruble food and agricultural relief program specifically dedicated to NEKK. The program officially called Food for All crops to bloom the earth, it's an idea first pushed forward by members of the People's Alliance for Nadiya, specifically MPs from the All-Nadiyan Communist Party, it aims to help the tripartite kingdom lower its food insecurity which was found to be around 35,2% which is catastrophic by comparison to Nadiya and Egelion, and offer a study and secure supply of agricultural goods to NEKK by selling or giving them necessary crops such as wheat, potatoes, rice, beans, etc to ensure that the nation can both feed its population and sustain itself agriculturally. Furthermore, the Confederation will send agro engineers and agricultural experts to help NEKK rehabilitate its arable likes just like how Nadiya managed to restore most of agricultural lands affected by the Second Trigunian War and even achieved the exploit of pushing back the tundra and taiga which allowed it to develop a thriving agricultural sector in Kozacchyna and its interior regions. Finally, the Nadiyan government released a statement in which they stated that the program won't come in the form of conditional tied loans but donations from Nadiya with a humanist and charitable intent behind it so NEKK won't have to worry about paying back Nadiya anything and instead focus on its own affairs while the confederacy helps them make their country a prosperous nation.

While this was happening in the NGA, Nadcomp and Nadyrail held a second press conference in Petrograd in which they unveiled their "veins of prosperity", an ambitious project aiming to connect the entirety of the Kerisian Empire and grant them access to Nadiya abundant oil and gas reserves. The two companies then showed a map of the future pipelines and railway lines after representatives from both Egelion and Kizenia and New Endralon and Kuzaki were received in Petrograd in order to draw a map that would skyrocket investment and ensure a never ending era of economic prosperity between the three sister nations especially since Nadiya and Egelion's regents are direct siblings witch extensive history in their own nations. Following the conference, the Rodashyam Stock Exchange hicked up by 7% with the oil sector jumping by 12% at the prospect of Nadiyan, moreso Vamaj, oil hitting the shores of NEKK and Egelion alongside the projected economic returns from such a wide scale project that will involved thousands of workers and hundreds of construction companies.

[/b]The NGA finally approved of the Nadiyan-Luthorian Friendship Treaty after more than 5 months of debate between its ministries and the Chamber of Nations, this marks a major progress for Nadiyan relations in the old continent through the signature of a diplomatic and economic treaty with Luthori after their recognition of the Confederation as the sole legitimate government of the isles, even tho it has been the case since 5649, which is a milestone for relations between the Archipelago and the empire which historically never were good except during the First Utopianist when the old Trigunia was part of the TRA and helped in the invasion of Dankuk, now Beaguk and Dranea apparently. Officially the Luthorian Overture Act, the bill grants Luthori and more specifically luthorians a bunch of privileges in the confederacy such as the right to vote in Nadiyan elections in the case of them residing within the isles for over 1 month, 150 days of visa free access to the isles and a more open access to the Confederation's immigration protocols for citizens that wish to work in Nadiya, on top of that, Luthori was granted an embassy in Petrograd alongside the establishement of a Nadiyan embassy in Fort William. On the economic side, the LOA allows for Luthorian companies to more easily access the Nadiyan market alongside the first instances of Nadiyan uranium being sold outside of Keris, the selling of Uranium alongside the investment of Luthorian companies was quickly approved of given the large economic opportunities that would come from flow of pounds into ruble market which would also help Nadiya's expand its foreign currency reserves even further. In other news, Chief Executive Thaller has announced Nadiya's official adhesion to the Migrant Pass Society after the ratification of the treaty was approved of by the three chambers of parliament, the ascension to the MPS is seen by many in Nadiya as an open and more formal olive branch toward the new Yeudi state of Amudim after President Eva Maria Frolova made Nadiya be among the first 5 countries to recognize the new Yeudi state and wish them a prosperous, it's yet to be seen how Altea or Sholemberg will react to Nadiya's declarations, but it's certain that the Confederation is exploiting its neutral position to the bone.

The Trigunian disaster and the flowers of hope in a desolated land: a detailed timeline of Nadiya's tumultuous bloody birth

As part of wider push from the government to streamline the institutions of Nadiyan Confederation in accordance with the amendments adopted by the Constitutional Convention, the Nadiyan Commission for Veterans, Martyrs, Due Rights, and Reconciliation or NCVMDR for short has updated its website dedicated to Trigunian Wars and Trigunian general in general. The Nadiyan Commission for Education, Discipline, and School Reforms has also launched a update of its historical curriculum which it considers as "too biased and ignores facts to shelter well established beliefs" after a coalition of historians, archeologists, philosophes, and sociologists denounced the biased retelling of the Trigunian Disaster by hyper focusing on the atrocities committed by the Trigunian Tsardom instead of talking about the crimes orchestrated by members of the NEC themselves such as the deployment of biological weapons against civilian targets in 5567 until 5668 by the Institute during their own rebellion against the Tsardom. February 5559: The Minister of health downplays the virus by comparing to a seasonal flu and refuses Lesnov's demand for emergency funding. Meanwhile the TBV reaches Vrosnok, who also imposes a lockdown and declares the state of emergency as death cases skyrocket across the Kirikan island. MPs of the Rainbow Pact urge the government to act by carrying out lockdowns nationwide

April 5559: The government finally orders a total lockdown of the country after cases of the BTV were confirmed in the Bashnya. Protests erupt denouncing the hypocrisy of the cental government as regions are left to fend for themselves with Brakav and Nyrmenstoni both declaring the state of emergency.

May 5559: The government lifts the ban on armed paramilitary groups and firearm access in the name of freedom. The Children of Yaoshi orchestrate a terrorist attack in Rodashyam which causes opposition parties to form their own paramilitary groups. The Trigunian Central Bank decries the economic snowball that's causing the economy to deteriorate rapidly.

Septembre-October 5558: The security situation in the isles keep on deteriorating to the point of Neftkomp filing for bankruptcy due to repeated and organized terrorist attacks on its extraction sites. The TCB officially calls in Trigunia's economic collapse as Seperatist and opposition backed paramilitaries report record breaking enrollment numbers

May 24th, 5561: The Utopianists rise as favorites from the election as they become the biggest block in the Duma. The Rainbow Pact manages to wipe the CIP out of the legislature in a historic upset.

May 26th, 5561: Afon Kiselev refuses to recognize the election results as legitimate by calling them unconstitutional and undemocratic, he suspends the Duma indefinitely with the tacit approval of the Tsar

May 27th, 5561: The governor of the central bank commits suicide during a live broadcast after stating that the Tsardom has defaulted on all of its debts and that there is no hope anymore. The Rainbow Pact calls on the citizens to protest the suspension of the Duma.

September 8th, 5561: The Duma Massacre is orchestrated against protesters present in front of the Duma building in Rodashyam. It's followed by Kiselev officially banning all political parties deemed as "unholy" and "undermining the sovereignty of Trigunia", this causes paramilitaries to mobilize as reports of troops, politicians, and scientists moving to unknown locations all across the archipelago.

II) The First Trigunian War (5561-67)

October 1st, 5561 at 00:00: The October Revolutionary Declaration is released all over social media and propagated through TV and radio as the governors of Brakav, Lesnov, and Vrosnok declare independence from the Tsardom. Kozaki seperatists take over Zarvospol and proclaim the Kozaki People's Liberation Front while members of the Children of Yaoshi cult take advantage of the chaos to topple the scientific government of the Solmogrod Viral Zone

October 1st, 5561: Afon Kiselev declares martial law nationwide leading to the proclamation of military governorates over Brakav and Nirmenstoni alongside the formation of the All-Trigunian Imperial Pact.

February 5562: The Trigunian Imperial Navy defects and sides with the rebels following the Pavlina bridge incident, they immediately began shelling Rodashyam and major Tsarist cities alongside imposing a strict embargo against the ATIP

June 5564: Following successful liberation of Lesnov, Vrosnok, and southern Brakav, the rebel states convene in Volosgrad to form the Nadiyan Economic Community as the frontline begins stalling in Brakav and Kozacchyna and the new breakaway states begin discussing taking over old Neftkomp assets to fund the war.

January 5563: Anarchists in Brakav, Nova Beagukiyan scientists in Radin, and Pan-Kerisians in norther Kozacchyna take advantage of the stalemate and the harsh winter conditions to rebel against the Tsardom which causes the R-N-B trench line to collapse and for the war to reignite again.

July 5567: After 3 years of intense fighting, The ATIP agrees to a ceasefire with the NEC following the total destruction of the Bashnya seen as the Tsarist symbol of power over the population. Both sides agree to establish a DMZ seperatinh them from each other while still refusing to recognize the other side.

III) The Warlord Era and recovery from the war (5567-5620)

September 5667: Members of the NEC begin talks concerning the reconstruction effort following the war. The Nadiyan Ruble is rolled out as a unifying currency as member states agree on centralizing the NEC

November 5567:  Formation of the Nadiyan Reconstruction Commission with Chwa Seung-Ming as its first ever leader, this lays the foundation of the NEC transition into a proper intergovernmental organization as the new commission is tasked with handling reconstruction and preparing elections.

August 5568: The first round of elections are held across all 7 member states under the supervision of the NRC. Even tho men were barred from voting in Vrosnok, the newly created NCEFT reported promising results as it insured the fairness and transparency of the elections by broadcasting the vote count live.

November 5670: Calculations from the NRC find that for the new independent states to be fully rebuilt, the NEC must spend the equivalent of 2700% of the Trigunian GDP pre economic collapse. Yet, unemployment hits lowest percentage due to the working population being mobilized for reconstruction.

February-March-April 5575: Following an attempted coup against the Utopianist government in Vrosnok by pro-tsarist forces and another coup being prevented in Kozacchyna after it's plotters were busted by Kozaki intelligence, Vrosnok and Kozacchyna implemented harsh Matriarchist laws barring men from every holding a position higher than a mayor, with the former even clamping down even more on masculinist organizations.

May 5585: The Nadiyan General Assembly passes a landmark resolution recognizing and codifying indigenous rights by recognizing the crimes committed against them by previous governments while the Pan-Kerisian horde tried but failed at jelbifying its population. Ideas such as a unification of the isles under the name of Nadiya start gaining traction across the organization and its member states.

June 5590: Following popular demands from within the member states if the NEC, the NGA is reformed into a multiparty legislative assembly tasked with elected a Secretary-General. This causes for regional parties to begin discussing the formation of NEC-wide parties.

January 5593: Kozacchyna and Vrosnok form the Nadiyan Political Action Group as a lobby firm to push for greater centralization of power within the NEC after they recently announced the unification of local oil companies into one, the Nadiyan Petroleum Compound aka Nadcomp.

March 5595: The first NGA elections are held with pan-Nadiyan and Matriarchist parties dominate the legislature with formation of the Pastel Coalition between the MUP-SC(now SN)-Love promising to radically reshape the social and religious landscape in the NEC.

April 5595 - February 5620: A great schism happens in 5596 as a group of female priests, archbishops, and nuns rebel against the Augustan Church of Trigunia to declare the Matriarchal Church of Nadiya, even tho the scriptures remain the same the leadership system barres men from becoming something higher than a bishop. It's quickly followed by a series of educational reforms focused on teaching young people traditional matriarchal valeus and to allign themselves with the MCN over the ACT, this works greatly with the female population while the male population clinginess to the ACT begins flattering. In 5610, the MCN reportedly becomes the fastest growing religious institution in the NEC, overtaking the ATC as the leading church in the isles.

IV) The Second Trigunian War, or War of National Liberation. (5620-23)

April 5620: Tsarist forces launch a surprise offensive by invading the DMZ and breaching the ceasefire agreement. Zarvospol is bombed by the Imperial Air force while SG Tatyana Artemievna tears the treaty of Rodashyam apart in a live address.

July 5620: Both sides unilaterally withdraw from all international treaties settings rules on warfare. The NEC authorizes the institute to torpide Tsarist forces using infects missiles with the BT-67 bioweapon, while the government in Rodashyam officially conscripts children over the age of 13 into the imperial army.

January 5621: NEC forces launch a counteroffensive and manage to successfully penetrate Tsarist territory, Brakavan and Anarchist troops move quickly toward Kaiserberg.

March 27th, 5621: NEC forces emerge victorious during the Battle for Kaiserberg, the Imperial Governorate of Brakav capitulates followed quickly by the governorate in Nirmenstoni.

October 13th, 5621: Seeing the inevitable collapse of the Tsardom, princess Maria alongside her sisters and mother Tsarina Katharina release the Second October Revolutionary Declaration and proclaim the Rodashyam People's Commune and urge the Tsar to surrender unconditionally to the NEC

December 26th, 5622: Tsar Ivan V announces the Tsardom unconditional surrender to the NEC and their allies after the fall of Rodashyam to the revolt and crushing defeat in the Siege of Svetograd.

March 8th, 5623: Ratification of the Treaty of Petrograd, the Trigunian Tsardom is officially portioned into 5 independent republics alongside Tsar Ivan V proclaiming the death of Trigunia and its abolition as a sovereign state in Terra

V) Reconstruction, Reconciliation, and the Birth of Nadiya

July 5623: The isles are hit with an outbreak of the BTV caused from its use by the institute during the 2TW

March 5624: The new independent republics intensify their derodashyanfication campaign by making languages such as Kozaki, Dundorfian and Krivian compulsory over Rodashyan

May 1st, 5624: The NGA officially launches the Unification Protocol and sets in motion the procedures for integrating the republics with each other and help strive toward a unified government in the isles.

5625: The NEC launches massive economic projects aimed at rebuilding the archipelago quickly as it manages to successfully reduce the severity of the BTV thanks to the Wongi vaccine following another outbreak.

5627: Post war elections of the NGA witness a strong showing from pro-unification parties alongside the inauguration of monarchists and Nova Beagukiyan nationalists

5630: Economic reports from the NCB affirm that the 5 republics have been successfully integrated with one another.

5631: A Trigunian revanchist group orchestrates a terrorist attack in Rodashyam, forcing the NGA to create a reconciliation commission 

5632: The Supreme Cooperative Court releases a landmark rulling allowing for foreigners to take part in the Nadiyan political world even if they are a non permanent citizen.

5633: Monarchists win big in the NGA elections and agree to form a government with the SRs, monarchy referendum scheduled after the start of the Constitutional Convention.

5634: The Constitutional Convention begins working on a constitutional draft after it was successfully approved of by 84% of the isles' population in a referendum

5635: Confederalism is adopted as the government style of a post unified Nadiya alongside collective leadership in the form of a presidential council that acts as the head of state

5636: Adoption of the socialized economic model for the country alongside the introduction of amendments guaranteeing multiparty democracy through proportional representation

5637: The monarchy is restored after the victory of the yes vote in the referendum, but the Tsarina is granted no political power other than acting as a head of state alongside the Presidential Council, turning Nadiya into a Diarchy.

5638: The CoN and CoJ are added granting Nadiya a Tricarmeral legislature alongside the 6 major cities in the NEC become capitals of Nadiya, 5 languages are recognized as official ones

5639: Nadiyans approve of the proposed constitution for the Nadiyan state and paving the way for unification

Inauguration of the Kerisian Unity Bridge as the NGA approves another 10 billion investment plan for NEKK: an Altéa-Zarvospol line soon?

Petrograd, Kozacchyna. After 8 years of construction, coordination between Nadiya, Egelion, and NEKK, the Kerisian Unity Bridge was inaugurated in a grand ceremony as the lead architects from the three countries cut the red ribbon seperating the three nations. This engineering masterpiece spans the length of 5 kilometres over the pass of Deliverance with 2km being held using a suspension bridge while the remaining three went underground in the form of a tunnel. The bridge, fully paid for and sponsored by the Nadiyan government through its Commission of Economic Developmentalism with the help of the NCB's Comission for Humane Development, it includes an 8 lane highway and a high speed rail line underneath it that's part of Nadyrail's wider project for an inter-kerisian HSR network that will connect the major urban and economic hubs of the empire with each other and allow for cheaper, faster, and more efficient way to transport goods and people compared to the fuel heavy tucks and planes. The opening ceremony for the bridge consisted of 120 heavy loaded trucks crossing while flying the flags of NEKK, Nadiya, and Egelion to the addition of the Nadiyan navy firing celebration canons to signal the crossing of the martime border between Nadiya and NEKK. Concerning costs and maintenance, the Nadiyan government reaffirmed itself to maintaining the use of the bridge free alongside covering the maintenance costs, but they didn't mention any financement policy on NEKK's side since for now it's unclear if NEKK will keep their roads public or privatize them. Furthermore, to celebrate this historic milestone on Kerisian history, the government announced a new 10 billion NRB fund for investment in NEKK which will allow both Nadiyan and NEKK start-ups to benefit from the fund's emerging companies reserve that aims to help foster a healthy and competitive economy, the fund isn't just limited to small companies but also to social investment, construction projects, infrastructure expansion, political reform, and more on top of the preexisting 13 billion agricultural and food relief program.

Nadcomp inaugurates Keristream-1 as it continues building pipelines across the empire: let the oil flow and the gas rise

Petrograd, Kozacchyna. In a historic day for the empire, the leaders of the three members's major energy companies alongside the president of the NCB's Commission for Humane Development gathered in Petrograd to open the valve of the newly completed Keristream-1 oil and gas pipeline. The underground tube connecting Nadcomp's industrial refinery Petro-XVI to the free city of Lunçasi while passing through the western coastal cities of Portul Occidental and Nepolesti, it will deliver on average about 24,6 billion cubic meter of natural gas into NEKK alongside pumping 1,2 billion barrels per day to feed the ever growing market and demand in both Kizenia and New Endralon and Egelion whose demand for cheap quick and close oil keeps on growing to match the demands of their economic growth. For their part, Nadcomp stated that they will continue building all the pipelines laid out by the Veins of Prosperity plan with Keristream-2 the one that connects Petrograd to Altea being reportedly 65% complete with the main issue being geography and the near non-existent presence of preexisting pipelines in the Egelian kingdom compared to the Confederation's web-like system of oil lines and gas streams, but the petroleum compound felt confident that they could deliver Keristream-2 and hopefully keristream-3 before the end of the century given the extraordinary pace of the topographical and mechanical works. While Nadcomp imposes itself as Keris's dominating fossil fuel company, many are looking at them and wonder what their plans are after supplying the empire with so much fuel that they could throw up from it.

From all natural to bobs and boufants: the ever changing hair trends in Nadiya influenced by the rise of the matriarchy

Hair fashions, just like fashions in clothing, music and cinema, are always in flux and often convey the mood of a society at a given point in time. Vmeste tracks the changes in this fashion alongside the changes in Nadiyan contemporary society society.
"With today's lifestyle a young lady does have time to dedicate to her appearance. Hairstyles, makeup, clothes - everything must be easily flamboyant and a statement of her superiority. That is why hairstyles today are very formal and elegant," says Yurkova Vera, art stylist and hairdresser from the Emilia Klempner Beauty Salon in Zarvospol.

Nevertheless, trends appear every season and Nadiyan women try hard to follow them. "In this case there are several factors: Hairstyles are influenced by fashions in clothing, lifestyles and even historical events that society is going through at the particular moment," Vera continues.

Back in the warlord era

In paintings and pictures from the 55th and 56th centuries, fashionable ladies are invariably depicted with enormous structures on their heads. Back then it was popular to wear several wigs and have a very high bouffant. This style, in fact, was an international trend and it was only in the late 56th century, after the First Trigunian and the appearance of the independent republics, that Nadiya began to develop its own hairstyles and hairdressing.

"The warlord epoch was obviously not as extravagant and substantial in terms of hairstyles as the 55th and 56th centuries, but haircuts did occasionally produce a shocking effect," says Siyasinova Tereza, an art historian and instructor at the Institute of Fashion, Design and Technology. "I witnessed the evolution of fashion in the 20s and can say that all those ‘babettes’ and bouffants were ridiculous rather than beautiful."

Nadiyan people had an ambiguous approach to fashion. Fashion was considered to be a "Tsarist thing," and if a woman looked stylish, it meant that she was not working and spent all her time in front of the mirror. Monotonous hairstyles in the form of conifer cones held back with hairpins and other devices, as well as short haircuts, were the favorites of Nadiyan women.

"And yet." Tereza continues, "this trend of short haircuts only lasted for the duration of the FTW since the population was more focused on warding off the Tsardom than taking care of their hair. Shortly after the war ended and the women saw the rise of openly matriarchist republics such as Vrosnok, Kozacchyna, and Lesnov, they began a more lengthy style for their hair to the likes of Fanya Žylinskaja, the sensation of the time."

An idol appears

"The main trendsetter in the republics was cinema. These were naïve films, which often had nothing in common with reality. But they taught the Nadiyan men and women to dress well and cut their hair according to the latest fashions," Tereza explains.

The female generation of the 70s and 80s chose Sabina Essen as its idol. She was a famous theater and cinema actress, a singer and winner of two Frolova prizes. Her portrait was printed on stamps and postcards, and many Nadiyan women imitated her style. She was the first to introduce hair bleaching and high, bulky styling in the isles.

In the 80s the country discovered a new idol: Sonia Balitiu. She became famous after the film Fanfare Night, thanks to which a new look appeared in the isles, one that harked back to the Luthorian pin-up girls. These new phenomena engendered new hairstyles, such as those with the use of gel, which smoothened the hair.

The fashion divorce

It was during the years following the STW that the Stilyagi (the original "hipsters") appeared in Nadiya. While most of the republics didn't care, they were immediately labeled as victims of the capitalists's pernicious influence and were therefore socially dangerous in Lesnov.

"Roundups were carried out on all streets of cities in Lesnov and those with the wrong hairstyle could be taken to the police precinct, where their ideologically detested quiff would be shaven off," says Tereza. Girls in the Stilyagi movement had incredible bouffants or short haircuts that were arranged in a fantastic dishevelled mess, which Soviet satirical magazines called "I'm my husband's fool," trying to mock how unkept their hair was and imply that they aren't the dominating partner in their relationships.

In the 5630s Nadiyan morality promoted moderation and minimalism in everything. Short hairstyles resembling that of Odeta Siano, a Nadiyan singer of Valruzian origin, became very popular. Dyeing hair became trendy, only this time it was fashionable to color it with henna and indigo dye. These were the cheapest and most accessible natural hair dyes. It was impossible to find artificial dyes at that time, and if they could be found, they cost too much since the republics were still recovering from the war.

From hippies to sleek backs 

In the 5640s the first hippies appeared in the country. They did not take care of their appearance, did not cut their hair and preferred a light creative mess on their heads. But by the mid-40s, bleaching and the platinum blonde had once again become popular. The trend was set by the film The Diamond Gun, directed by Yuk Kyung-Hee, in which actress Varga Alexandra played the femme fatale, Sitnikova Mira.

"This look became fashionable again in the beginning of the 50s. Many girls asked me to dye their hair cold blonde," comments Yurkova Vera.

Haircuts in the 5650s resembled haystacks. Highlights, bouffants, waves - not only girls did this to their hair, but men as well - at times, all three procedures simultaneously. Women had no mercy on their hair in their quest to obtain maximum volume and had it permed, something that needed to be repeated in a salon every six months.

Ever-shortening cycles

It is possible that all these fads will once again be popular. "Fashion is cyclical," says Tereza. "Its evolution is like a spiral and every 10 years or so something from the past again becomes a trend. The only difference between contemporary fashion and that of the 57th century is that now the period between these bursts of trendsetting has been shortened."

For the last two or three years women all over the world have been sticking to one rule – the simpler, the more natural and romantic, the better. And yet just five years ago Nadiyan women were fixated only on Nadiyan and Egelian pop stars – a black bob like Frolova’s, highlights à la Rosaura or a fashionable asymmetric bob like the one sported by Roe Eun-Hye were the most popular trends among Nadiya's chic young things.

How three technocrats saved the Nadiyan economy from a wave they ardently opposed

The Nadiyan Confederation, and more specifically the Nadiyan Central Bank, have a somewhat unique mindset and attitude when it comes to handling the financial world of the nation with its complex and cut-throat environment which hasn't been matched anywhere in Terra as most nations don't fall under the category of bankocracy like Nadiya and its banks. 

The Confederation's financial uniqueness showed itself again following the conclusion of the Kerisian War and the government releasing sn alarming report on the country's financial situation, this led to the NCB and its allies to trigger article 51st of the constitution and effectively take over Nadiya's budget for an undetermined period of time. 

However for the nation to reach such a situation, a series of decisions and power expansion must be studied in order to understand Nadiya's orphan position among the banking world.

I) Establishement of the NCB & Creation of the Nadiyan Ruble

For starters, the history of the Nadiyan Central Bank begins in 5568 shortly after the First Trigunian War erupted, the Bank was created alongside the Nadiyan Economic Community, a decentralized economico-political hybrid that blurred the lines between being an intergovernmental organization and being an economic and trade union.

The idea of a unified yet decentralized Banking system was first brought up by representatives of the Free Democratic Republic of Brakav, who had recently suffered from a robbery of its gold reserves by rogue elements of the imperial Governorship that controlled the major city of Kaiserberg in the north.

The Brakavans argued that the newly independent breakaway republics needed to create a unified currency as a counter weight go the imperial Trigunian Ruble but also as a way to grant the new republics a glimpse of legitimacy among terran nations especially since most didn't recognize those republics and others openly embargoed them which caused currencies such as the Kozakis Rada, Lesnovian Ruble, Nova Beagukiyan Won to free fall and threaten the collapse of new republics.

This ultimately led to the creation of the Nadiyan Ruble, a common currency between the 7 members of the NEC with the new NCB being put in charge of its regulations while the financial ministers of the member states were permanent members of the board of directors which allowed them to effectively exploit the central bank by appointing a loyal governor in exchange of them conceding powers to the ever more powerful Nadiyan General Assembly. Ultimately the gambit of conceding political support in exchange of money will be the nail on their coffin. 

II) Dawn of Unification & rise of the twin serpents

Only 10 years had passed since the conclusion of the Second Trigunian war and official execution of the entity known as Trigunia by the NEC and their allies, yet the archipelago suffered from a wave of revenchist Trigunian terrorist attacks that rocked the established belief that decapitating the twin headed eagle and organize "fair and transparent trials", which were nothing more than a grand piece of theater because those same nations that judged Trigunia for their war crimes had committed heinous ones themselves on the population that was still living inside the Trigunian Tsardom by deploying weapons of mass destruction in the form of a weaponized viral agent capable of physically handicapping thousands of people by attacking the eyes and hijacking blood pressure this in turn would cause the infected to lose their eyesight and for the lucky ones to suffer from chronic vision issues.

On top of that, recent polls and elections had shown the population longing for a unified country as opposed to the newly reformed five republics which suffered from political and economical instability due to the lack of diplomatic and economic unity between them, which pushed the NGA to officially launch a unification protocol that would focus on economic and social integration between the republics until  they were "parts of the same body and mind, indivisible and synchronized". During the period that followed the launch of the protocol, a dynasty began establishing itself as the rulers of the financial world in the Isles and those were the Maximovnas.

 Originally a Trigunian aristocratic family, they jumped ship after the NEC announced the creation of the Nadiyan Ruble while the Trigunian Ruble had already lost more than 1200% of its value because of the war, the Maximovnas were quick to build connections with the rebels as the first records of them in the NEC have them listed as governors of the central banks of Kozacchyna, Brakav, and Vrosnok while their children studied in the most prestigious schools just to come back and help solidify their family's position as the isles financial hegemon. 

This cycle of self renewable continued until two twins began leaving their marks more obvious to the wider Nadiyan population, and those twins were Evelina Maximovna and her brother Pestov Osip Maximovna. The twins made their first appearance by being the top graduates from the Zarvospol High University of Finances, and Commerce which propelled them to the highest banking positions in Kozacchyna with Evelina being governor of a local credit union in Svitoba while her brother Osip took over a banking union in Petrograd, the twins then gained a reputation of being strict technocrats focused on making their institutions stronger and more stable either through dictator-like purges of corrupt elements or strong arm reforms to clean their institutions image and credibility.

 After the unification was completed and the Constitutional Convention was called by the NGA, the twins successfully lobbied for the introduction of a never seen before constitutional clause for the central bank to use, Article 51 of the constitution was passed by the convention alongside a series of other executive amendments which allowed for that specific article to go unnoticed by the general public as the constitutional referendum was approved by the population and the isles geared themselves toward the proclamation of the Confederation.

III) Evelina's rise to power & the Great War on the Underworld

In the wake of the first confederal elections and the election of Snezana Konstantinovna as Chief Executive, Evelina Maximovna was appointed governor of the Nadiyan Central Bank with virtually no opposition, her opponents tried discrediting her by saying she wasn't fit to govern such an important institution since she only controlled a minor credit union, but Snezana didn't back track from her choice and even justified it by saying "Nadiya's economy is in shambles with need someone that doesn't fear consequences at the helm of our Nation's most important bank to get us on the right track and finally be able to consider debt and our currency as minor issues." 

After all the ceremonial procedures were concluded and Evelina was sworn in as governor of the NCB, her first decision was fo fire the entire board of directors and replace them with fresher members who will bring brand new ideas to the bank, the decision sparked an outrage among the well established financial bodies who saw their position as powerful entities crumble as Evelina carried out reform after reform in the hopes of saving the Confederation from its self inflicted drowning. She then declared was against the black market in a famous declaration in which she said, "The previous governors of this bank clearly knew about the rampant issue of unofficial exchanges and under table agreements that undermine this institution's stability and reputation. But today I'm here to fix this mess once and for all because I fear nobody instead I install fear into the hearts of my enemies, head my words, ANYBODY that stands in the way of the Nadiyan Central Bank and our reforms will find their head on a spike and their stocks will serve as fuel for the insects eating at their foundations until their whole scheme comes crashing down. Nadiya will become a financial gem in terra, we will acknowledge debt, make our currency strong, rely on official and trustworthy sources for our income, and we will spend mindlessly and ignore the debt monster like so many nations do in Terra, I'll personally drag Nadiya into a better world even if she kicks and screams." 

Shortly after that famous declaration, she imposed a spending limit on the Konstantinova government which forced them to flip the government's situation from a 5% into a 14% surplus thanks to the bank imposed harsh austerity measures and complete defending of the armed forces alongside tax hikes on the mega corporations. The Bank's open war against the black market culminated in the raids of hundreds of exchange positions, closure of financial institutions that were found to be involved in underground deals, busting of illegal currency exchange offices, and the famous unleashing of the Bank's regulation on the Nadiyan Ruble by allowing it to float and match the value before orchestrating a subtle take over of the exchange markets by making them puppets of the bank.

 Those cutthroat policies eventually led to Nadiya paying off its debt and making it fall from 135% to an excellent 20%, while the bank turned its gaze toward the megacorporations dominating the Nadiyan market and violating every aspect of "intelligent finances", in a famous declaration Evelina said "You cannot be a financially smart nation when you have megacorporations dominating your market and suffocating everyone that doesn't subjugate themselves to them and obediently follow their orders like some obedient dog without free will." As every megacorporation found themselves on the chopping block and financial entities cleansed themselves of their corrupt elements, the Central Bank poised itself as the sole savior of the Nadiyan financial world even if it was to the expanse of the average Nadiyan.

IV) The Honeymoon and collision with the canons of war

As a result of the harsh austerity and major reforms, Nadiya was finally able to pay off its debt with Evelina allowing the government to run a small deficit budget in 5667 after 12 years of war against financial idiocy. In the wake of the war, the Commission for Fair and Humane Development with Babkina Vladimir Igorievna at its helm while Evelina's twin brother Pestov Osip Maximovna took over the newly created Commission for Financial Transparency and Stability. The trio of bankers took the reigns of power and allowed for the Nadiyan financial world to ripe the awards of Evelina's reform by maintaining the cutthroat standards established by her alongside pulling the strings of politics by making sure all the governments were obedient to the bank by threatening to trigger article 51 of the constitution. 

Even when the right-wing Hosian Matriarchal Democratic Party swept the third confederal elections of 5670, they didn't dare outsmart the bank and instead adopted a pragmatic budget that bended the deficit cap but not enough to anger the bankers since they saw C.E Liliana Keitel Thaller as a wise and reasonable women who had already shown herself to be useful such as when she helped the bank fix Brakav's budget by filling the abysmal revenu hole that threatened to push the state into a recession, so it wasn't surprising that Thaller government and the bank trio enjoyed a long period of honeymoon until they snapped back to reality with murder of Lesnovian citizens by NEKK junta forces in the deliverance pass. Immediately after the incident there were talks about Nadiya launching a war against NEK in winter taking advantage of the pass freezing over which would allow for tanks and soldiers to roll over into NEK. 

When Evelina and her brother heard about the plans of the presidential council to drag Nadiya into an armed conflict the scales of which were unmatched ever since the Second Trigunian War, they both tried reasoning with the presidential council arguing that the Nadiyan can't handle the pressure caused by a war especially the banking system which was already licking the wounds from the purge of its corrupt elements. On top of that, a war would inevitably cause the annual budget to go into the deep red and inflate the Nadiyan debt, something the bankers desperately try to avoid.  However, even with all their warnings, the presidential council still declared war and marched over NEK all while the NCB and their commissions daily routine became an endless cycle of crisis management and ever retreating trust from international institutions they desperately worked to achieve.

V) Take over of the budget and establishement of the bankocracy

After the Kerisian war, Nadiya found itself at the edge of a financial cliff. The economy had retracted because of the war, the reckless decision from the government to borrow large sums of money to militarize the economy, trust in the Nadiyan banking system eroded as many saw the decisions of Petrograd as erratic, and to top it all off, Vamaj was in the deep red because of ongoing troubles in the Migrant's Pass. 

As soon as civilian rule was restored and the military was called back into their baraques, Evelina triggered article 51st of the constitution during the budget negotiations for the financial year 85. This unprecedented move was backed by the Supreme Cooperative Court, who rulled in favor of the NCB by declaring their hijack of the budget as constitutional. 

Shortly after the takeover, the NCB implemented a new budget by decree which consisted of a near total defending of the army and relocation of their funds toward investment plans alongside a titulage of the Nadiyan Commission for Financial Transparency and Economically Prosperity, allowing the bank to carry out whatever plan they have in mind for Nadiya's financial stability. The new budget made by the NBC flipped the previously 13% deficit into a 5% surplus with the NCB lowering interest rates as it turned its gaze back onto the banking system, which saw black market financial institutions flourish during the war as Nadiyans used them to bypass the government's ban on foreign currency exchanges.

Ever since the takeover of the budget by the NCB, Nadiya developed what is called a "bankocracy" aka the rule of bankers and their banks over a country's institutions or economy. In this case, the trimuvirate between the NCB, CFHD, and CFT has allowed them to essentially control the entire Nadiyan financial world to goals for growth and development while maintaining a tight leash around the government by forcing them to adopt a surplus budget every year until the debt lowers back to 20% of GDP then they would be able to have a deficit again yet the banking trimuvirate will still forbid them from ever crossing the 3% deficit limit since it would derail their plans for ultra stability in the Nadiyan financial world.

In an unprecedented move, chief executive Thaller has raised the minimum retirement across the federation by ten years through the use of an special ordinance from the Nadiyan Commission for Pensioners, Benefit Receivers, and the Handicapped. The decision was revealed by NCPBRH's commissioner Butusova Lidia, whose office released an official statement updating Nadiyans on the new requirements to qualify for specialized pensions such as the Handicapped Aids Assurance, the Widowed Assistance Aid, etc.

The pension reform wasn't received well by the general population with the Nadiyan General Confederation of Workers and the Federation of Unions for Prosperity, respectively Nadiya's first and second biggest trade unions, already calling for workers to march into the streets and demand the annulation of the ordinance since the reform wasn't approved of by Parliament.

"We were simply taken by surprise since nobody expected this administration to adopt such a drastic increase." Says Emilia Rosengarten, Secretary General of the NGCW, "We, [the workers unions], knew that the second thaller administration would be tight fiscally especially since the take over of the budget by the NCB's technocrats, but we didn't think that in their quest to achieve 'financial wiseness' they would attack our right to rest after years of hard work!"

On the other end of the spectrum, the business and financial world welcomed the reform with warm and open arms. The NCB's governor, Evelina Maximovna, congratulated the government in a RealFace post stating, "This reform was inevitable and I am glad to hear that this administration took a bold step and finally raised the retirement age in order to alleviate the burden of pensions on young people especially since the Confederation is expected to hit a demographic wall no matter what. Over at the NCB, we welcome this change with open arms as it helps us walk hand in hand toward achieving financial intelligence."

"Everyone is relieved to know that Nadiya has begun fixing its pensioner probably." Says Dudás Kevin, a stock exchange middleman in the RSE, "I mean, I'm all for welfare and all, but you can't expect young working people to keep holding the financial burden of pensions on their back forever. I know that Nadiya has a fertility rate of 3,4 child per woman, that rate is gonna last forever and we will need to face an aging population wether we like it or not."

Now the ball is in the administration's court, will C.E Thaller back down or face the wrath of the unions and her party with the sixth confederal elections scheduled for November of this year?

Plot twist in Nadiya as the Nadiyan General Assembly approved the Keitel Thaller reform with a slim majority with the help of opposition votes even tho all party leaders advised their MPs to reject the reform. The vote, held earlier this morning, was a fierce battle between two visions for Nadiya's future social and financial future.

Communist, Hosian Matriarchists, and Lovers argued in favor of the reform citing the Account Court's recent report warning that the Nadiyan pension system will most likely collapse and the social contract be ruptured if the confederal government doesn't significantly adjust the current system. 

"The current ages for retirement, 50 for women with above 3 children and 55 for men, has begun putting a serious strain on publica finances over the past few years." The court says, "The confederation already spends billions on the war induced complications veterans of the Kerisian suffer from. This accumulation of financial contribution will only lead to the rise of economic despair within the youth as they see themselves as mere piggy banks for their forefathers."

Meanwhile in the status quo side, the social revolutionaries, and servants, argued that Nadiya can afford keeping such a low retirement age especially since recent reports from the NCB indicated that the Confederation reported an impressive 8% growth of the economy with export revenue booming thanks to the veins of prosperity project currently being carried out by Nadyrail and Nadcomp across the Empire.

"So you're here telling me that Nadiya, one of Terra's fastest growing economies, can't afford to let people retire at 55 because of a supposed 'demographic' wall?" Kwok Tam-Hee, an SR mp, said, "These type of lies were spun around when Konstantinova introduced austerity and it seems that it's became a trend within the right to cut away at social spending in favor of more handouts to the private sector even tho our population fervently prohibits it!"

While this happened in parliament, the NGCW and FUP held a series of peaceful protests across the isles with the biggest one being in Zarvospol as the organizers reported 3 million participants compared to the 2,1 million the Zarvospol Metropolitan Police declared as present. The protests themselves focused on denouncing the Central Bank governor Evelina Maximovna, the president of the NCB's Commission for Fair and Humane Development Babkina Vladimir Igorievna, and Chief Executive Liliana Thaller, calling them "heartless technocrats whose sole interest is to make banks."

Millions of Nadiyans headed to the polls today to cast their ballot for the Sixth Confederal Elections of 5695 and unlike previous confederal elections, this specific election stood out for two major factors that will shape Nadiya's future as it prepares to step into the 58th century.

On the presidential side, for the first time ever in the history of modern Nadiya, a candidate from the Writers and Artists Pact for Nadiya managed to not only qualify for the second round of elections but also defeat the incumbent Eva Maria Frolova from the SRs as head of the Presidential Council. Edda Wahl, a drag queen from Zoetergraaf and former president of the Brakavan Free Democracy Republic, ran on a campaign of dissatisfaction from the incumbent parties alongside promoting the idea of further social equality by granting men enough rights so they're truly equal to women. 

A political outsider, Edda is most famously known for being the mastermind behind Brakav's recent renaissance in the field of music and theater with the city of Zoetergraaf as its epicenter. Under her presidency of the "Artistic" republic, the sector of entertainment, leisure, tourism, and artisanship flourished like never before while she managed to successfully strike a coalition agreement with the Brakavan Communist Association and the Social Democratic Party of Brakav, so she knows the ropes power and won't just walk blind into Nadiya's top political office.

While the presidential elections saw the victory of Edda and cementing of FJIP's grip over Haivan through the victory of their candidate too, the Nadiyan legislature saw a massive overhaul of its composition mainly thanks to last year's bill expanding the number of seats in the NGA from 1000 to 1200.

The incumbent parties saw their vote share be cut in half while the opposition rose even further with the exception of the FJIP which seems to still secure 13% of the votes every elections. The biggest winners tonight are most certainly the Pastels and Technocrats as both groups combined vote share makes up 42% of the seats in the NGA, but they couldn't manage to successfully make the HMDP lose their majorities in the Chamber of Nations and the Chamber of justices, meaning that the new chief executive will have to work with the HMDP if they want their bill to pass without a hitch instead of being stalled in the CoN.

At the end of the day, the Pastels are expected to negotiate a viable coalition agreement with either the TAN or PAN alongside electing their leaders into the presidential council while for the first time in the history of terra, a drag queen becomes head of state of a democracy and free country with many looking now at Edda with administration and fascination.
