Recently, while looking for something else, I came across this post:

Which calls Polish American, English American, German American, etc. as "...Valruzian Baltusian, Luthorian Baltusian, Dundorfian Baltusian, etc..."
I have to object to this. It's not hatred of Baltusia that raises the objection. Baltusia is not a cultural transmitter. It never has been. When it was active, it was fairly inward looking. Calling IG American "Baltusian" isn't supported in any of the RP or on the Wikis. It just doesn't make sense.
I therefore propose changing the IGE of American on both that forum as well as the carryover classic port RLE list at https://forum.prtcy.com/thread-119-post-...ml#pid1715 to either "North Seleyan", or just "Seleyan". This would more correctly fit the real world analog, where people in the US call themselves Americans, though American encompasses two whole continents. If those in Southern Seleya object to it, we could just say North Seleyan.
I think it is more correct to name the general culture after the continent than to name it after a specific country within the continent.
