After weeks of negotiations, conference calls, and different talks, the Royal Council was pleased to announce that Egelion has signed an exclusive deal with the SOMECO bloc in Majatra. The deal came after the Royal Treasury directly reached out to Deltaria in hopes of expanding Egelion's trade network amidst the ongoing global tensions. The deal, amended last minute by Istalia, was signed officially in Romula with all members of SOMECO present. Royal Councilor Cascabel, who took the place of Royal Councilor Mondragon II, represented His Majesty in Romula. Having previously agreed to the deal in private talks, the event in Romula confirmed Egelion's exclusive deal with the trading bloc now expanding Egelion's trade industry far beyond its usual areas.

Royal Councilor Cascabel stated that the new deal with SOMECO officially makes Majatra one of Egelion's largest trading destinations as the deal reinforces the major Egelian operations already taking place at the Grand Canal in Wrnuke. "With this deal.." states the Royal Councilor, "...we can guarantee our trade flows without issues throughout the entire Majatran continent. Our connections in Istalia, Deltaria, Selucia, Pontesi and Wrnuke have helped our trade not only increase but venture out in stable regions away from the Migrant's Pass." Novantica has already expressed its desire to open hubs in the aforementioned nations to ensure that global trade is not impacted by the ongoing conflicts in the region. With a new SOMECO deal signed, Egelion can ensure that trade with Majatran nation is not only fair but still remain vital to our nation's security. In this path, Egelion agreed with Istalian representatives and thanked them for their decisive input in the overall deal.

Royal Councilor Cascabel remained in Romula to chat with members of SOMECO nations before heading to Wiel to discuss with Egelion's close partner in the area. While in Wiel, Cascabel reassured the government of Altea's commitment to the future use of the Grand Canal and its operations. "While our deal with SOMECO is great for Majatra, we still believe in our access to Majatra and the Sovereign Sea via the canal. Istalia and Wrnuke remain our access to different good and vice versa. We are excited of opening new ventures with our new Majatran partners, and we hope they are equally excited to begin investing in our Egelian goods and services."

As the Corte Concordia meeting approaches, the IDE is working on ensuring that all efforts towards cooperation and inter-state talks are finalized to avoid distracting form the highly expected meeting. To this extent, Royal Councilor Cascabel and High Councilor Formoselle met at the IDE Palace to discuss a pressing issue amongst policy experts in Altea. Royal Councilor Cascabel, leader of monetary and taxation policy as well as the Royal Treasury's functions, stated that Tel Bira's constant narrative to create a state of friction and distantness from Altea was "confusing". Since the conception of the Egelian Institute of Diplomacy (IDE), Tel Bira has maintained an embassy and regular relations with Egelion, leading to confusion within the Royal Council itself.

"When talking about banking, we do not understand what discrepancies may exist while operating in Majatra. Egelian banks have been extremely regulated and have had significant security systems installed since we witnessed issues ourselves decades ago. We have one of the most secure networks in Terra. We do believe that this effort by Tel Bira itself is to leverage the situation with Pontesi, leading to great fractures in their old alliance." Of course, we will continue operating from Majatra now with connections in Istalia, Deltaria, and Vanuku as well."

The Royal Councilor however did not dismiss Tel Bira's attempts at trying to meet in Altea to iron out any potential miscommunication Tel Bira itself sought out. Royal Councilor Cascabel sent a personal invitation to Tel Bira to reaffirm a positive relationship and a potential entry into the BIFI system. While Cascabel stated that there are ongoing negotiations regarding further integration with Majatra regarding Egelian institutions, it should not put strains on any negotiations with Tel Bira. "We are at a point where we have been well-integrated financially with every continent on Terra. It would make sense for us to preview opportunities to deepen that integration and use the BIFI to further expand our services."

Royal Councilor Cascabel stated that "Altea's halls are always open. Whether Tel Bira takes this opportunity to join us and reaffirm what we had is up to them. We have clearly hosted them for years. We frankly do not comprehend their newfound animosity considering our mostly stable relationship." A consortium of Egelion's largest banks have already begun to create teams to study the BIFI agreement and identify potential benefits to Egelion. The consortium, made up of Banco Ibarra, Cascabel-Otienda, and Santamer, have all stated that the potential decision to join BIFI would be to pursue financial cooperation and avoid discrepancy stories as the one fabricated by Tel Bira.

After tense negotiations, international observation, and constant compromise, Egelion, Kalistan, Nadiya and the provisional government of New Endralon and Kizenia have finally ended the Kerisian War. A new era of government and sovereignty has arrived for New Endralon and it's people. This morning, Royal Councilor Mondragon II and Royal Councilor Cascabel held a press conference at The Mondragon Estate in Norterra to officially confirm the ending of the summit. The end of the summit brings peace to Keris and the start of a new future. The Royal Councilors had a photo op for the press and held an hour long conference to answer questions. With the end of the summit, Kenny political analysts have said that the continent could finally breathe and hope to a new future.

Among the terms at the conference was the full sovereignty of New Endralon and Kizenia, their self determination and the demilitarization of their country. Many nations on Terra were concerned about the future of the nation, thinking that Egelion would seek to take over the nation. However, Mondragon stated that it is "easy for nations to make concern where there is none. Egelion was committed to peace and self-determination and that's what we achieved." The summit was tense as Egelian and Kalistani officials went back and forth, turning the conference into one about Kalistani security rather than peace for Keris.

"We understand where Kalistan is coming from regarding their security issues. We perfectly understood the position we were put in. As I've told my son and successor: sometimes you must give candy to the child to have them calm down for five minutes. I think our reassurances will bring peace not only to Keris, but to the Northern Anantonese as well. If Kalistan is happy, we're happy."

concluded Mondragon. The Royal Councilor stated that a team of architects, engineers and city planners are heading to Portesti next week to help with the city's development. Most of the battle torn places occurred in smaller cities in the countryside, which will be renovated. The Royal Councilor also spoke of the Zyldavian region and how ethnic conflicts may play a future role. "We will talk with the government of New Endralon to ensure is Zyldavian acquisition may need to be adjusted or completely removed from the equation." The Altéa-Nord Stock Exchange had rallied significantly following the final agreement and is already eyeing several investments in New Endralon. Together with Nadiya, talks of oil exchange, railway expansions, and new infrastructure for the nation are in the works. For now the continent celebrated a new peace and a free New Endralon and Kizenia.

With the Kerisian War ended and the rebuilding process beginning, the Royal Council took time this afternoon to take a look at the Norterra Treaty and ensure that Egelion would still be available to follow all of its terms. Royal councilor Cascabel made notes to Royal Councilor Mondragon II and stated that the annexation of Zyldavia is a challenge "that would hurt the social cohesion of a restored New Endralonian state." The councilor made the point that the annexation of Zyldavia would not only be a costly venture for Egelion, but would also lead to racial and ethnic tensions that the country is already prone to.

To address the underlying issues in New Endralon and Kizenia, the Kingdom of Egelion has officially decided to end any pursuit of the Zyldavian territory and instead assist the new government of the nation engage in "humanitarian, socially just measures to improve the social cohesion of New Endralon and Kizenia." Royal Councilor Mondragon II, set to retire next year, stated that a new royal council will soon be responsible for helping New Endralon and Kizenia, not only with infrastructure and social programs, but to address ethnic tensions. The Royal Council did state that His Majesty would continue to use the title "Prince of Zyldavia" as it has been used for centuries by the heir of New Endralon. 

Royal Councilor Ibarra, specializing in welfare and education within the Royal Council, stated that the Real Academia would work with New Endralon to ensure proper education and materials were available for the country's youth to teach about the history of the nation and how to curb violence in regards to ethnic tensions. The Real Academia has already spoken tot he Regency Council of New Endralon and have prepared a ten year long curriculum for all three regions of the nation to ensure that indoctrination of violence and hate and filtered out from their society. 
 
Royal Councilor Mondragon II spoke to the press this afternoon to make a statement regarding the official release of annexation:
 

There is no question that we would love the return of the crownlands of Zyldavia, but we must be realistic here, we are in a position of help not of opportunism. We will continue to support our western neighbors to ensure they have a proper future guided by principles of peace, cooperation, and self-determination. While we may understand there is hateful rhetoric in the press meant to legitimize Egelion's imperialistic tendencies, we however are capable of grasping the fundamental pillars of foreign policy well enough to understand that acquiring land, no matter how historical or engrained in our personal pride, is not what makes us a successful global nation. We will look to Zyldavia and the rest of Kizenia with cooperation and our full, good intentions in seeing them return to a prosperous nation.

Music often changes, it evolves and it embraces the unknown. When elements of different genres collide onto one music sheet, its fusion brings perspective and a multitude of emotions. As I listened to Rosaura's new song--and overall album--I was reminded of the beauty of classical music. Crying violins, the emotions of wind, and the heartbeat of percussion. Rosaura opens her album with a mix of opera--at least that is what we can call it--and fuses it with what she knows best. A model of traditional Egelian and more modern Caillean pop. Her previous albums that included an excellent mix of more urban, flamenco styled pop bode well with her audience, deeming her an artist who her understood well the beautiful craft of songwriting. Yet, with her song Divi, I was able to see and feel something that I have not ever felt. Pure, raw emotion and passion.

Divi starts off with a dramatic Dundorfian opera accompanied by the Caillean Symphony Orchestra. The piece, reminiscent of older Istalian violin chords, opens the scene of pain and the overdevelopment of heartbreak. As the song progresses, we see angelic vocals, weaved with such depth and quality that it often makes us forget that the song is from a pop artist. A transition to Egelian and Luthorian vocals transpires. Religious imagery, lyrics of heartbreak, visuals of anxiety, and a revelation of transformation occur, making one wonder the true theme of the song. While it may be up to interpretation, what this song represents, to my own thoughts, is a portrayal of the mind, the body, and our emotions when we ascend into a revival of our true selves. We may encounter heartbreak, we may encounter anxiety, we may go through a difficult time, but us drowning in them--such as dissolving sugar in a coffee, makes us into something new, something raw and divine. This is what we see with Rosaura's song. The music may be opera-like, classical, but with the integration of newer pop and deeper meaning, it becomes something new.

I believe her song embodies much of traditional Egelion and a newer Caille. What sublimity...What passion in the music. Rosaura has been touched by God at last. Us? We are powerless...powerless against the new age of pop. Or is this the creation and development of a sub-genre? What can we call this? I call it art. Rosaura is already being prepped for a FOMAT run. This may be her time and us forced to watch. Enjoy her creation as much as I have, for we are witnessing a deep dive into the fusion of the modern and the divine.

Prince Leon Alexander, heir to the thrones of Egelion and New Endralon, was seen in Deltaria this week with his younger sister, the 21 year old Princess Carlota, for what the Palace of Villamor called "private meetings". The palace had stated two weeks ago that King Artemio himself would be travelling to Deltaria to continue improving relations between Deltaria and Egelion, however, it was revealed that due to poor health, Artemio would send his two children instead. The Prince of Amateria arrived with Princess Carlota at Tsargrad, but did not receive an official state welcome as was previously done with King Artemio. The meeting was more informal as the young Egelian royals only traveled with a small unit of royal guard.

The Prince of Amateria and the Infanta were taken to the emperor's palace in Tsargrad where they were formally met by the emperor and his staff. The meeting at the palace lasted three days. The princes were given excellent accommodations in the palace and received an itinerary of multiple days to discuss the several "terms" between Egelion and Deltaria. According to press statements from Tsargrad and from Altea, the Prince of Amateria met with the Emperor to discuss what a future Egelian-Deltarian relationship would look like after he inherits the throne from King Artemio. The Infanta Carlota met privately with the Emperor multiple times throughout the three days. Sources say the Princess and the Emperor developed a fond relationship for each other and she help delegate several meetings between Prince Leon Alexander and the Emperor's staff. When the Egelian travel staff was asked about the relationship between the emperor and the Princess, they stated:

We believe Her Highness and the emperor have developed a rather close relationship that has brought great results to the more important Egelian-Deltarian relationship. We cannot comment on the previous activities and intimacy of the two. We believe this must be addressed by the Palace of Villamor and Tsargrad directly, but we can confirm that the Inftan has been courted or in the process of being courted by the emperor himself.

As was previously reported in the headlines of EL DIARIO, the Royal Directory of the Armed Forces in Cartablanca has approved the creation of an all new Armada fleet. The new Armada fleet, set to take a total of eight years for full completion, will include state-of-the-art Yadraz-Class Destroyers, Ameteria-Class Frigates, and Kinea-Class submarines, ships that are already part of the current Armada. The decision to expand the Armada came after the Royal Council concluded that "Egelion's increased presence in global affairs and continental matters" played a huge factor. Royal councilor Mondragon was asked about the expansion and for the Royal Council's rationale last week. he agreed that Egelion was "no longer bound by a regionalist foreign policy and is instead opting for a more internationalist, cooperative direction where the Egelian Armed Forces could serve as an instant response unit for global conflicts."

The new Armada fleet, set to consist of over 15 brand new ships, will be constructed mostly in Egelian ports. One can look to the ports of Libertaria and Yazdraz as the two main locations where the ships will be built to to their large accommodations. Some ships will be built in Norterra and Cartablanca as well to spread the job opportunities and access to resources. According to the Royal Directory, five of the new ships will also be built in Xsampa after an agreement was reached with Metz-Leonid. The new fourth Armada fleet, once complete in eight years, will be responsible for Anantonese missions including routine exercises and patrols down to Meriat-del-Mar base in Rildanor. 

The Royal Directory stated that the balance of having four armadas in four different theaters will help Egelion's response to global threats and to maintain peace in the region. The IDE has maintained that Egelion's policy of "peace through strength" is sometimes needed on the global level since the deterioration of liberal internationalism this past century. "What we're trying to do is establish balance. We need balance within our foreign policy and balance in the world. Like our responses with Rildanor and Kizenia, we may need immediate action in some cases or we can resolve issues diplomatically. we are keeping both avenues open for ourselves as we step up the leadership ladder", concluded Royal Councilor Mondragon II. The councilor also stated that the nation would begin to test new variants of the nation's ICBMs as well as the hypersonic missile program. Hypersonic production has increased since the Kerisian War and is expected to continue in the next several years, convincing some that ICBMs may be replaced and refitted entirely in the near future.

This afternoon, Her Majesty Queen Anastasia joined the Prince of Amateria, Leon Alexander, at the Paalce of Sorsuela to announce significant changes that would alter the entire dynamic on the continent of Keris and the further world. King Artemio, King of Egelion and Tsar of Nadiya, would abdicate from the throne next month, making his heir, Prince Leon the future monarch of greater Keris. Prince Leon, 24 years of age, is set to become one of the most powerful monarchs in all of Terra. King Artemio's abdication comes coupled with the acceptance of joining New Endralon and Kizenia in a personal union. King Artemio stated that Egelion would no doubt join a personal union to consolidate stability in Keris, but he would only do it if it meant he could abdicate in his favor. 

After a unanimous decision within the royal council, King Artemio announced he would abdicate next month in favor of his current heir, Prince Leon. This news was announced by Queen Anastasia, who led the press conference at Sorsuela Palace. The Queen, while visibly shaken by the news of King Artemio, stood tall and proud and stated that the Prince of Amateria was prepared to take on the responsibility and role as King. Prince Leon studied at La Academia Real de Altiflor San Mares in Altea, the home to the nation's enlightened absolutist thought. Here, the prince was trained in political philosophy, etiquette, language, history, and social thought. He then transferred to the university of Norterra, a popular location among all royals in Egelion.

The prince's extensive education and moral philosophy was deemed "natural and progressive" by those around him. His mother the queen states that he and King Artemio "fought at the table" many times over the current king's political direction. Many have stated that Prince Leon is looking to continue investing in welfare and architectural services similar to his grandfather King Romulo. Yet, one giant issue remains for Prince Leon upon hi ascension: personal union with New Endralon. Upon his coronation, Prince Leon will become monarch in Egelion and New Endralon, inheriting the titles "Prince of Zyldavia" and " Prince of Tyrgov" as it was for his ancestor, the last king of New Endralon and Tsar of Trigunia, Prince Karoly. 

House Montalivet remains the strongest contenders for the throne in New Endralon as Prince Karoly married a princess from the current Egelian dynasty in 5452, the Princess Valeria (as shown in the link). Their lineage has continued to this day with King Amadeo starting the monarchy in Egelion with this same bloodline. The Montalivets however, being related to the original Orléans-Vasser dynasty since the 50th century, remain a political force in Keris and now Canrille since the death of the last true Canrillaise heir. Queen Anastasia has stated that Prince Leon has thought of claiming the throne of Canrille in the near future as well, but confirmed that his interests remained within Keris for the time being. The Prince is set to take a trip to Portesti next year to accept his future role as King of New Endralon and Kizenia, but to oversee Egelian roles in reconstruction.
