Istalia at the 38th FOMAT with Amedeo Sperandio
The famous singer-songwriter returns to the international scene with “Il cielo sopra noi”, a refined and dreamy song
.
November 5652
Amedeo Sperandio will represent Istalia at the 38th Festival of Musical Arts of Terra (FOMAT), hosted in Kalopia in the city of Ammopoli. After hosting the previous edition, acclaimed by audiences and critics for its exceptional organization and artistic level, Istalia is now preparing to participate with one of its most iconic and distinctive figures on the music scene of the last thirty-five years.
Singer-songwriter and experimenter, Sperandio has crossed genres and decades with an always original approach. From pop music to lyrical composition, he has been able to create a recognizable and profoundly varied musical universe. Unforgettable are his songs such as " Mondi lontanissimi", " Minima immoralia", " Gira tutto intorno alla stanza", " Vivere a un'altra velocità" o " Chi se ne va che male fa?" ed " Essere speciale", both now considered classics among love ballads. Equally appreciated are his more cryptic and introspective songs such as " Avrei bisogno di..." o " Melodie Spensierate". But Sperandio did not limit himself to light music: he signed three operas that were successfully staged, showing a rare ability to range between registers and artistic languages.
In recent years, the artist had taken a break from the scene, dedicating himself to other projects: the latest opera " Taimanz", inspired by the mythological Qolshamite hero, and an intense pictorial activity. His return took place last year with the album " È stato un sogno", warmly welcomed by the public and critics. The single " Imprigionato a te" was taken from the album, which marked his return to the main music platforms.
It will be from this work that the song in competition at FOMAT will be presented: " Il cielo sopra noi". A song that reflects the artist's mature and refined path: an initially intimate and confidential melody, which gradually opens up towards broad and dreamy sounds, reaching a peak of emotional and musical intensity, and then returning to the original delicacy. A musical journey about love, but also about transcendence and desire, capable of touching deep chords.
With this participation, Istalia intends to reaffirm its commitment to promoting artistic and musical excellence. Il cielo sopra noi is the message that the country entrusts to the international public: art, emotion and vision.

Credito San Mauro is born, the new banking giant of Istalia
The merger between Banca di Credito Nazionale and Banca San Mauro gives birth to CSM, the first in the country in terms of assets and capitalization. The CSM Financial Group is now targeting foreign markets

The Banca di Credito Nazionale Tower, now CSM tower: the central headquarters of the bank in Romula
.
In what many analysts are already calling the most important banking reorganization in the recent history of Istalia, Banca di Credito Nazionale, the first institution in the country in terms of assets and number of customers, has officially announced its merger with Banca San Mauro, the fourth largest one. The union of the two giants gives birth to a new banking entity: Banca Credito San Mauro, or more briefly Banca CSM.
With almost 41 million customers and a balance sheet asset of 2,800 billion lire, the new bank is ranked first in the Istalian banking system both in terms of total assets and capitalization, which will exceed 120 billion lire. According to preliminary data, CSM will control 26% of the national banking assets, thus becoming a systemic player of primary importance.
But the birth of CSM represents only the first step of a much more complex industrial plan: the creation of the Gruppo Finanziario CSM. This new holding company will lead a profound restructuring of the entire corporate perimeter, divided into six main entities:
Banca CSM, the operational heart of the domestic banking system;
CSM Fiduciaria, specialized in fiduciary and trust services;
CSM Investimenti, the group's investment bank, active in structured finance operations and capital markets;
CSM Patrimoni, dedicated to asset management and funds;
CSM Capitale, oriented towards venture capital and the financing of innovative startups;
CSM International Holding, which will lead the global expansion of the group.
CSM International Holding represents the most ambitious component of the project: the opening of branches of CSM Bank in the main markets with which Istalia has entered into economic and commercial agreements has already been announced. The CSM International Holding aims also to be active in partecipating if not controling already existing financial realities in the interested countries. The first operations will involve Dundorf, Egelion, Hutori, Badara, Baltusia and Bianje, countries considered to have high strategic potential.
Behind this impressive reorganization is Corporazioni S.p.A., a financial holding company reborn after the war and which has grown steadily over the decades, to become one of the main conglomerates in the country. Corporazioni today controls numerous industrial and financial companies, and for years has been working discreetly on the construction of the CSM hub.
Corporazioni is in turn owned by Cavallini S.a.p.A., the limited partnership of the Cavallini family, considered among the most influential in the country. A curious and symbolic historical detail accompanies this rise: the Cavallinis descend from Matteo Cavallini, brother of Empress Elisa, wife of Emperor Tommaso III of the Third Empire, who was a successful businessman creating an industrial group that continued to growth and survived the vicissitudes of time until today. After the expropriation under the Socialist Republic, the family managed to regain possession of its assets after the Patriotic War, patiently rebuilding an economic empire in the shadows but today more solid than ever.
With the birth of the CSM, Istalia gains a national banking champion with global ambitions. The challenge now will be to reconcile international growth, regulatory balance and social responsibility in an increasingly competitive economic context.

State visit to Dolgava: Alessandro V and Giunio strengthen the bond between Romula and Aikums
Memorandum signed for future free Trade, fiscal cooperation and space partnership agreement between the two nations. It's just the first international commitment for Giunio
Panorama of Aiksum
.
January 5653
ROMULA - In an atmosphere of cordiality and cooperation, Emperor Alessandro V and Minister Secretary of State Valeriano Giunio were received on a state visit to Aikums by Queen Jaanika and the newly appointed Prime Minister Cäsar Einhorn. A meeting of great symbolic value, which produced tangible results with the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding that will lay the foundation for a future economic and trade agreement between the two countries.
Negotiations between Romula and Aikums had begun some time ago, and now the agreed terms outline an ambitious understanding. The agreement provides for the reduction of duties on retail goods and the introduction of measures to simplify and speed up customs and administrative procedures. For wholesale goods, degressive duties will be adopted with the aim of encouraging a progressive growth in trade. As per consolidated practice for Istalia, dedicated procedures will be provided for strategic goods, aimed at ensuring their joint and secure control.
No less important is the opening to free trade of capital, with the promotion of mutual investments and the introduction of safeguards aimed at guaranteeing financial stability and transparency. Particular attention will also be paid to fiscal cooperation, with common measures against double taxation and shared tools to combat tax evasion.
One of the most innovative aspects of the agreement concerns space exploration: the Memorandum provides for the signing of a specific agreement to start a structured collaboration between the space agencies of Istalia and Dolgava. The latter is among the few countries to have embarked on a new season of investments in space research, and Istalia has identified it as a partner for an alliance capable of generating far-reaching technological and scientific spin-offs. Among the highlights of the collaboration, there is the possibility for Dolgava to jointly use the Mobile Space Launch Platform "Aquila", thus allowing the Nordic country to carry out launches from equatorial latitudes, with benefits in terms of costs and orbital trajectories.
During the meeting, Giunio took the opportunity to launch a wide-ranging international proposal: to establish a stable framework for cooperation in research, not only in the aerospace field, but also in scientific, academic and industrial fields. An initiative that, in its intentions, aims to strengthen ties between nations, foster positive interdependence and contribute to the construction of a global order based on cooperation rather than confrontation.
Istalia's economic actors have already expressed great interest in the opportunities opened up by this new chapter. Among the most interested are certainly ICM Terra Terminals, which has announced that it is ready to start negotiations for the opening of a port and logistics hub in Dolgavan territory, and the newly formed Banca CSM, which through CSM International Holding, is enthusiastically evaluating the possibility of expanding into the Dolgavan market with new branches.
An economic, scientific and strategic alliance that promises to be promising, and which confirms istalia's desire to remain an active protagonist in the new global balances, investing in cooperation and knowledge as the engines of its own development and that of the world.
But the Dolgavan State visit is just the first of the international commitments of Valeriano Giunio: in conjunction with the departure of the Head of Government for the State visit to Dolgava, the Office of the Minister Secretary of State has announced the official dates of the international commitments that will involve Valeriano Giunio in the coming months. After having focused in these past years on important internal reforms, the Minister Secretary will now dedicate himself fully to foreign policy and diplomacy.
The next stop will be Badara, in what will be the second official visit of Emperor Alessandro V to the Majatran country. On this occasion, the Head of Government will confirm the excellent state of relations between Istalia and Badara, initiating new discussions on security issues in the eastern area of Majatra and discussing further forms of cooperation.
Immediately after, it will be the turn of Lodamun, a fundamental stop in another of the main powers of Northern Seleya. At this juncture, the Emperor and the Minister Secretary will address the negotiations already started with the Kensington government, but they will also take the opportunity to express the closeness and solidarity of the Istalian people to Lodamun in the face of the serious natural disaster that has hit the country, a series of devastating fires that have caused numerous victims and which have pushed Kensington to request assistance at an international level, an appeal to which Istalia has promptly responded by sending several teams of specialized firefighters to help, as well as two "watertankers" to support the extinguishing and rescue operations.

From the Cisavugli statute to the identity turning point: Giunio Reform more than an institutional reorganization
Cisavuglian PNL proposal relaunches the institutional and symbolic debate: there is talk of direct election and retourn to the historic name "Silicia", while in Fidelia the idea of a strong link with the imperial dynasty gains strength
The Regional Council of Cisavugli
.
March 5653
PONTELASA - The first formal proposal for a regional statute since the Giunio Reform of the Regions came into force was presented in the Regional Council of Cisavugli. It was signed by local representatives of the Partito Nazional Liberale, with the support of Democrazia & Libertà. The proposal, although destined to fail due to a lack of cross-party consensus, nevertheless had a significant impact on the public and political debate.
The text provides for the introduction of the direct election of the Governor and an electoral system that assigns 60% of the seats in the Regional Council to the winning coalition, marking a clear break with the current model, of a fully parliamentary type, where the Executive and the Governor are elected internally by the Council. However, the initiative has encountered strong resistance not only from the opposition, but also from two majority parties: the Hosian Democratic Union and the Liberal Republican Party, which have expressed doubts about the system deemed unbalanced.
According to the promoters, it is a "provocative proposal", more oriented to stimulate debate than to become law. The objective of the PNL is to start the process of consultation and writing of a real statute, which, it is now almost certain, will be oriented towards a semi-parliamentary model. UOD and PRL have in fact said they are in favor of such a solution, as long as it includes more modest majority bonuses and a system that ties the political fate of the Governor to that of the Council, and vice versa. The debate has just begun, but according to internal sources, the general framework of the future institutional architecture seems already outlined.
Another element of the proposal has attracted attention: the use of the term " Silicia" (pronounced sih-LEE-chee-ah, with the full "-ia" as in Amelia) to designate the region, instead of the current official name " Cisavugli". An apparent detail, which in reality touches on an identity theme deeply felt by a significant part of the population. The term "Silicia" is the name by which the region has been historically known from the First to the Sixth Republic, passing through the First Empire. Its replacement with "Cisavugli" dates back to the 30s of 5000, under the Union of Quanzar and Alaria, which renamed all the regions except Trivendito, a reform that has lasted until today, as a sign of rupture with the unitary Istalia.
The name " Cisavugli" derives from the archaic term " Kisawuli", used during the period of the Emirate of Quanzar to indicate the region as " Wilaya Kisawuli", and which in turn dates back to the Majatran expression " Kisāwuliyy", or " land of those who wear the cloak", a reference and homage to the habit of the mountain populations of the interior of wearing cloaks that covered their head and body. These communities, descendants of the pre-Selucian and pre-Colsamite people of the island, allied with the Ahmadi Caliphate, favoring the conquest and converting en masse, in reaction to the centuries-old Selucian and even earlier Colsamite domination, accused to be usurpers who had driven their ancestors to live on the harsh terrain of the mountains and the internal plateau.
The change of name to "Silicia" at the birth of the First Republic was therefore a desired break with the Ahamdi and Quanzari past, with a return to a Selucian linguistic root, linked to the definition " Siliciana Terra", meaning "siliceous land", due to the mountainous and rocky landscape of the island. The term, derived from " silex, silicis" ("Flintstone"), was widely used among the Selucian colonists, and directly recalled the classical heritage considered to be the foundation of the Istalian national identity.
Although the official name is now "Cisavugli", the name has never aroused a strong sense of belonging. Indeed, according to many analysts, it would be perceived as foreign or even forced. The debate resurfaced forcefully after the Third Restoration, and the use of "Silicia" in the draft statute is nothing but the formalization of a trend already widespread in academic, political and cultural circles.
The issue, however, is not confined to the island: even in the region of Fidelia, in the south of the Peninsula, voices have been raised in favor of a re-examination of the official name.
Here too, in fact, a debate on the name of the region has received a boost from the reform, although the debate has more recent roots, dating back to the period immediately following the Third Restoration, and is developing in a decidedly different direction. The one who decades ago started the discussion was a war veteran and fervent patriot, Carlo Ricciardi, elected to the first parliament of the Imperial State and then active in regional politics. It was him, a few months after the end of the conflict, who presented to the Regional Council the proposal to rename the region with the name of " Appiana", in homage to the Imperial House Appiano De Borromei and its cadet branch, Appiano-Solari, that reigns today.
The proposal re-emerged recently with the debate around the reform of the Regions, and in Fidelia is founding fertile ground, a region that, more than any other, has benefited from the Restoration: Fidelia is today among the most flourishing areas of the country in terms of economic growth, employment and widespread well-being. It is the most visited region by tourists, and not only for the magnificence of Romula, the historic capital and favorite destination, and today returned to be a large financial and industrial hub, but also for its provinces, rich in food and wine attractions, picturesque villages, bucolic landscapes and a lush nature that alternates with historical ruins, ancient monasteries and hills inhabited by communities still deeply rooted.
In recent years, a further engine of development has also been added: the mining sector, with the opening of the rare earth mines in the Pheykran basin and the Lithium Mines near the ruins of the ancient city of Fidelia, from which the region currently takes its name, and which have given impetus to the growth of a whole thriving supply chain.
Today, therefore, there is no shortage of reasons to look to the future with an eye on the imperial tradition: many citizens of the southern Peninsula identify with the idea of paying homage to the Imperial House, whose origins are rooted in this very land and whose ancestral seat is in Romula.
Ultimately, Giunio Reform of the Regions has produced much more than a simple institutional reorganization: it has opened a path to a deeper collective reflection, capable of reactivating symbolic, historical and identity dynamics that seemed dormant, and which today return to speak forcefully to the heart of local communities.

The National Center for Nuclear Research opens
Built on the remains of a glorious past, the new multidisciplinary center represents a further major milestone: Istalia ready to climb at the top of advanced scientific research
The National Center for Nuclear Research
.
April 5653
INGONA - With the official start of operations of the National Center for Nuclear Research, Istalia takes a decisive step forward on its path to scientific new hights. The ambitious facility, destined to become one of the cornerstones of nuclear and technological research for Istalia, and surely a center of reference worldwide, was conceived under the second Saragat government, meeting the growing pressure of the Istalian academic world that had long been clamoring for a strategic investment in this field.
The site chosen for the new center could only be steeped in history: the old National Laboratory for Inertial Confinement Fusion, on the southern slopes of the Alkhayl, not far from Ingona. An emblematic place, which saw the light even before the foundation of the First Istalian Empire, when it was inaugurated by Michele Appiano De Borromei, then Head of the State of the Fifth Republic and future first Emperor of the Istalians.
Until the early years of the Seventh Republic, the laboratory was one of the most advanced research centers in the world. With the political and economic decline of the country, the center also suffered a long period of abandonment, interrupted only during the Socialist Republic, which tried to relaunch its scientific activities. But it was the Peninsula War that decreed its definitive dismisal: the most sensitive equipment was quickly evacuated, while the structures were severely damaged by the conflict. It remained like this for over a decade, until the decision was made to recover and transform the area into a new national excellence.
The result is a modern and multifunctional complex, where the historic installation for inertial confinement fusion has been completely rebuilt, from the Target Room to the laser amplifiers, and flanked by new highly specialized environments. Next to it, there are now the Nuclear Technology Research & Development Laboratory, dedicated to experimentation on technologies for fission reactors, and the Laboratory for Applied Nuclear Technologies, where nuclear applications will be developed in fields ranging from medicine to the materials industry.
Large sections of the center have been reserved for public and private entities for testing and research, with cutting-edge infrastructure. In the coming months, an electron synchrotron for the generation of synchrotron radiation and a free electron laser will also be installed, essential tools for a vast range of research in fields such as protein crystallography, earth science, paleontology, chemistry and physics.
Under the authority of the Committee for Nuclear Research, part of the National Council for Scientific Research, the Center is only one of the advanced research centers about to be inaugurated: the National Center for Nuclear and Particle Physics, in Nuxene (south of Nicoma), is expected to be operational within a couple of years: it will host an electron-positron accelerator for the study of CP symmetry, strong interactions and elementary particles, as well as a linear accelerator dedicated to high-energy physics and the generation of synchrotron radiation. Several universities and research institutions, first of all the University of Caleon, have also expressed their will to promote the construction in the site also of an experimental fusion devices, probably based on the stellarator architecture, given the growing interest of the research in this field by prominent researchers of the University of Caleon itself.
No less important will be the National Astroparticle and Cosmology Laboratory, recently approved and funded by the Moretti Government, in collaboration with AISA and the National Agency for Observatories. The laboratory will bring together theorists, observers and experimenters working in the fields of high-energy astrophysics, cosmology, gravity and neutrino physics.
In this context, Istalia is finally realizing its ambitions to return to being one of the most prestigious scientific centers in the world. Universities, research centers and individual scientists are receiving modern infrastructures and cutting-edge technologies. But not only that: the country is also preparing to welcome foreign researchers, attracted by a rapidly expanding national scientific network and by working and collaboration conditions that aim for excellence.

Diplomacy on the march: the Emperor and Giunio on a state visit to Kalopia and Badara
From the trade agreement with Kalopia to strategic cooperation with Badara: Istalia strengthens its regional position between environmental challenges, economic growth and intercultural dialogue
Panorama of Helios
.
May 5653
HELIOS - The new diplomatic mission of Emperor Alessandro V and Minister Secretary of State Valeriano Giunio, which will also touch Badara in the coming days, opened with a warm welcome in Helios, the capital of Kalopia. A state visit that will constitute a fundamental step for the diplomatic activity promoted by the Head of Government after the intense reform work within the national borders.
They were received in Kalopia by President Iordanis Sylkesios, with whom negotiations for a new bilateral treaty of economic and commercial cooperation were officially launched. The agreement aims to expand the free trade network built over the years by Istalia, and includes a series of detailed measures: from a regime of regressive duties to promote trade and support mutual investments, through the simplification of customs procedures and closer fiscal cooperation.
One of the central themes, brought directly by the Istalia on the table, concerns the introduction of common product certification standards, especially food products, to combat counterfeiting and protect the authenticity of “majatran” excellence. A particularly delicate point, considering that Kalopia and Istalia share a strong agri-food vocation and are among the main producers of typical specialties. The declared objective is to avoid unfair competition and promote healthy market cooperation.
During their stay in Helios, President Sylkesios accompanied the two guests on a tour of the main districts of the Kalopian ecological transition, strongly desired by the first Green government, one of the few in which an environmentalist party leads a sovereign country. An occasion that has sparked quite a bit of controversy at home: the Green Movement has in fact openly criticized the Giunio government for having maintained and strengthened the agreements signed by previous socialist governments, despite not adopting equally incisive environmental policies on Istalian soil. A spokesperson for the party declared:
Quote:It is paradoxical that we are helping Kalopia become a green model while in Istalia we are still far from a serious debate on the environment. This is an opportunity to reverse the trend.
After Kalopia, the Imperial plane will leave to the north, to Badara, where the Emperor and the Minister Secretary will be welcomed by Chancellor Hakim al-Sabah, Foreign Minister Mariamne al-Qassem and the President of the Majlis, Bashir ibn Ortoq. The trip to Badara has a predominantly political-strategic character: Giunio, in addition to reconfirming the excellent relations between Istalia and Badara, intends to consolidate the dialogue on security in the eastern area of Majatra and offer Istalia's collaboration to Badara also to resolve possible internal problems, but also to further stimulate economic relations, with particular attention to the oil industry, in which Istalia sees new opportunities for technological cooperation and supply.
There will also be exchanges on a cultural level: the intense academic activity that has recently invested the Istalian universities, has generated the interest of several universities for joint projects aimed at investigating the most ancient origins of the Majatran civilization, for better or for worse part of the country's history, whose first traces have their roots in the Badara islands.
With this double stop on the continent, Istalia wants to reaffirm not only the centrality of its diplomacy in the regional plan, but also its desire to promote a new model of multilevel cooperation, economic, cultural and on security, based on balance, vision and shared responsibility.

Istalia consolidates its economic network in North Seleya: State visit to Lodamun
Welcomed by President Menkyn, the Emperor and Valeriano Giunio lay the foundations for renewed relations with Lodamun. At the center of the talks: free trade, increased trade, investments and the proposal to join the international space initiative
Skyline of Kensington
.
June 5653
KENSINGTON - After the tour in Majatra the last month, a new and significant stage for Istalian diplomacy took place this time in the Lodamense capital: Emperor Alessandro V and Minister Secretary of State Valeriano Giunio were received on a state visit by President George Menkyn. At the center of the talks, the definition of a wide-ranging economic and commercial agreement, on the model of those already signed by Istalia with numerous global partners. The agreement aims to facilitate free trade between the two countries, increase investment flows, protect businesses, promote customs and tax cooperation, and adopt common rules on the use and traceability of strategic materials and products.
Minister Secretary Giunio stated during the summit:
Quote:Establishing a new bilateral agreement with Lodamun does not only represent a step forward in the relations between our countries, but a fundamental step for the global extension of the economic network built by Istalia, a network that consolidates and expands.
With the future accession of Lodamun, the north of the Seleyan continent will in fact become the region of the Western Hemisphere with the largest number of markets reached by the Istalian network, adding this new agreement to those already active with Valruzia and Baltusia.
But the visit was not limited to the economy. As a sign of closeness and solidarity, the Emperor wanted to personally convey the condolences of the Istalian people for the numerous victims of the devastating fires that, in recent months, have hit large areas of Lodamun. “ We are at the side of your people and we will continue to offer all possible support” declared the Emperor during he join conference press with President Menkyn from whom came a heartfelt thank you for the timely dispatch of teams of Istalian firefighters, accompanied by two specialized air tankers.
In a climate of great openness and collaboration, Valeriano Giunio finally proposed to Lodamun to join the scientific and space initiative promoted by Istalia, already recently presented also in Dolgava. The project aims to create an international platform for cooperation in the aerospace, scientific and technological fields, with the objective of developing joint capabilities in orbital exploration, climate monitoring and advanced research.
The visit ended with an official ceremony and a joint declaration of intent, which sanctioned the commitment of the two governments to continue the dialogue towards the definition of the new treaty and the opening of a season of increasingly close collaboration.

Elections 5653: Giunio reconfirmed! Center-right wins again and strengthens in Congress
PNL and D&L gain ground, the Greens are the third party of the country, while New Communists and Alleance of Autonomies collapse

Composition of the new National Congress
.
October 5653
ROMULA - The final results from the Ministry of Internal Affairs have arrived, but already during the night, with the counting still underway, it was clear to many who would celebrate and who would not. 5653 elections ended with a new, powerful victory for the center-right coalition, a reconfirmation of Valeriano Giunio at the helm of the government.
For the Minister Secretary of State, this is the second consecutive victory, and this time with even more solid numbers. The National Liberal Party (PNL) gains 14 seats compared to the previous legislature, reaching 210 (144 civilians and 66 military). The Republican Liberal Party (PLR) also did well, rising to 7 seats. But the most surprising result was that of Democracy & Freedom (D&L), which with 20 seats (13 civilians and 7 military) established itself as the big winner of the center-right, strong in the role it played as external support to the Giunio government in the previous legislature.
The Democratic Hosian Union (UOD) paid the price, stopping at 29 total seats (23 civilians and 6 military), recording a strong decline of ten points. According to numerous analysts, the electorate punished the party for a perceived obstructionist attitude towards programs largely shared by its allies, as well as for the loss of political centrality compared to the dynamism shown by D&L.
Decisive factors in the vote were the reform of the regions, obviously, the increase in economic growth recorded in the last five semesters and a sharp drop in the unemployment rate. Public opinion has largely associated these positive results with the action of the Giunio government, reinforcing its legitimacy. Analysts, however, point out that these results are also due to reforms previously initiated by center-left governments and which are now bearing fruit.
In the progressive camp, the picture is varied. The most resounding defeat was suffered by the Party of New Communists (PNC), which went from 30 to 18 seats (17 civilians and 1 military), a sign of a clear rejection by the electorate. Their proposals, judged by some experts to be "interesting but too bold", were swept away by an economic context that played against the critical narrative. The opposition of the reform of the regions weakened furthermore the party.
The Socialist Democratic Party (PSD), on the other hand, remained stable, obtaining 153 seats (114 civilians and 39 military), while the Greens' Movement (MdV), which rose to 31 seats, recorded a truly historic result, overtaking PNC and also UOD, becoming the third party of the country, even without the contribution of military parlamentarians. The data clearly indicate that much of the decline of the PNC was translated into ecologist votes but also that a growing interest for ecological issues is growing and spreading. The fact that recently Green governments, functioning and attracting the electorate with relative fortune in other countries, like Kalopia and just few months ago Hutori, undoubtedly contributed to MdV success too. Economic issues were also crucial for the Greens, as they too stood out with critical positions towards the government but proposing decidedly more acceptable solutions, focused on circular economy systems, realistic programs about renowable energies and social responsibility for the markets.
The hardest blow at the polls, however, came for the Alliance of Autonomies (AdA), which was reduced to only 4 seats. The internal divisions, the growing radicalization and the "counteroffensive" represented by the reform of the regions implemented by Giunio in response to territorial tensions, which took away political space from the autonomist narrative, weighed heavily.
The new Congress is completed by three independents: two Alarian nationalists-independentists and a Feranese of Majatran origins, Omar Garufo, which already announced that he will form his own parliamentary group, called "Minorities for Concordia". The latter, although a non practicing Hosian, presented himself to represents the istances of the Majatran minority, although he was followed by criticism from the more conservative Ahmadi positions among the Majatrans, and not even for his being from a hosian family, but for being too liberal and progressive.
The vote of the Armed Forces played, as usual, a significant role. For the first time, 5 military parliamentarians were elected in the ranks of D&L, a sign of the growing harmony between the military apparatus and the centrist-liberal party, and their vote also contributed decisively to the downsizing of UOD and PNC.
The new scenario, therefore, significantly strengthens the center-right coalition, which will now be able to count on an expanded majority, with more cohesive allies and a less fragmented parliamentary scenario. The downsized UOD will most likely be more reconcilable. On the other hand, D&L has the prospect of entering the government, a step that internal voices now consider imminent, after an entire legislature of external support. Great satisfaction also for the Greens, who are celebrating the best result in their history and an increasingly central role in the progressive panorama.
This the distribution of seats of the 9th National Congress:
National Liberal Party (PNL): (144 civilians + 66 military) 210
Socialist Democratic Party (PSD): (114 + 39) 153
Greens' Movement (MdV): 31
Osiano-Democratic Union (UOD): (23 + 6) 29
Democracy & Freedom (D&L): (13 + 7) 20
New Communist Party (PNC): (17 + 1) 18
Party of Republican Freedom (PLR): 7
Alliance of Autonomies (AdA): 4
Independents: 3
The Minister Secretary of State is therefore ready to answer the call of Quattroregni Palace, which given the results should not be long in coming. Valeriano Giunio will certainly form a new executive, to make room for the now considered certain entry of D&L.
Strengthened by this confirmation that has the feel of an investiture, with a significantly larger majority, experts and analysts expect even more incisive liberal reforms. Some within D&L already aspire to privatizations, industrial ones as well as in public services, aspirations that are in any case too enthusiastic for UOD which, although downsized, still represents the second party in the coalition. Giunio will certainly have to work more intensely to balance the positions and this time the PRL, strengthened by its growth and by the entry into the government of D&L, will not be too willing to act as a negotiator or scale down its proposals.

Romula goes rainbow: hundreds of thousands at the largest march for LGBT+ rights in recent years
In the wake of international mobilizations, the Capital fills up for the large demonstration promoted by the pro-lgbt+ rights' movements and supported by a wide political and cultural support: "Now the government can no longer postpone"
.

ROMULA - Less than a month passed from the elections and toady a river of people invaded the streets of Romula on the occasion of the largest march for LGBT+ rights in the last half century. An impressive, colorful and peaceful demonstration, called by the " Movement for Civil Equality" and the " Rainbow Coalition", which gathered the enthusiastic support of hundreds of thousands of citizens, in the wake of recent similar demonstrations in favor of equal rights that have already exploded in recent months in countries such as Luthori and Bianjie.
Behind the slogan “Equal, now!”, the protesters called for the approval of an organic reform in the field of civil rights, with the introduction of equal marriage, the full right to adoption for all families, the legal recognition of gender identity, and laws against homo-transphobia that are not just symbolic.
What we saw today was not just a street protest, but a national political event, which gathered a surprising transversal convergence between political forces, local institutions, and representatives of culture and science.
The progressive opposition parties, including the Democratic Socialist Party, the Green Movement and the New Communist Party, joined the demonstration in a compact manner. Also present were Democracy & Freedom, some representatives of the Liberal Republican Party, as well as several parliamentarians of the National Liberal Party belonging to the younger and more progressive wing.
The demonstration also received the united support of the " Forum of Professions and Arts", and the " Network of Mayors for Equality", which mobilized over three hundred municipal administrations throughout Istalia.
Behind this impressive mobilization is a broad, coordinated and well-rooted front in Istalian society that has been growing and consolidating for a decade now. Here are the main protagonists:
- Movement for Civil Equality
It is the largest national organization for LGBT+ rights in Istalia. Active in all regions, with a strong presence in large cities, it promotes campaigns, legal assistance, psychological support and civil mobilizations. Its "Manifesto for Istaliana Equality", published in 1964, has become the point of reference for the movement's demands.
An informal network of student groups, university collectives and urban cultural associations, it is the driving force of youth activism. It organizes local Prides, festivals, and citizen assemblies and has played a decisive role in bringing thousands of young people and families to the streets.
- Forum of Professions and the Arts
It brings together representatives from the academic, legal, cultural and artistic worlds, with a strong impact on educated public opinion. For years it has been pushing for a profound and progressive legislative review of the matter.
- Network of Mayors for Equality
More than three hundred mayors of all orientations, but mostly left-wing, have signed their support for the march. Many of them have long been symbolically celebrating civil unions and promoting local policies against discrimination. The Network today represents a crucial point of contact between civil society and institutions.
At the end of the march, the spokespersons of the promoting organizations delivered a petition to Parliament with over three million signatures to ask for the immediate start of a legislative debate on equal rights. Dalila Mezzadra, President of the Movement for Civil Equality, declared in front of a packed Palace Square:
Quote:The time for waiting is over! Today Istalia spoke with a clear voice. For too many years we have accepted compromises, postponements, half-words. Today, this square no longer asks for symbolic gestures, but concrete political acts. This crowd is not just an emotional wave, it is a collective voice, determined and aware, which says forcefully: we exist, we love, we live, and we want to be recognized. Ours is a simple request: full equality!
No one, not even those who cling to old ideological logics, will be able to ignore this voice any longer. And to those who ask us to wait, we respond that no true democracy can tolerate second-class citizens. We have talked, we have built alliances, we have listened: now we ask that politics listen to us!
We are not here against anyone, but in favor of a more just country for all. We will no longer be satisfied with vague reassurances: we want laws, we want precise commitments, we want a historic turning point. And if Parliament will not be ready, society will drag it forward.
The large demonstration in Romula has put the spotlight back on a topic that has been postponed for too long: the organic reform of legislation on civil rights and equality. Although it has been discussed for years, no structural intervention has yet been implemented, and the street mobilization now represents a political push that is difficult to ignore.
The new balance that emerged with the entry of Democracy & Freedom into the government has significantly shifted the axis of the majority towards more open positions on the social level. But if on the one hand discontent is growing within the National Liberal Party, where the younger and more reformist wing is increasingly less willing to tolerate conservative vetoes, on the other hand the Hosian Democratic Union, despite the electoral decline and the reduction in its numbers, still remains the second force in the coalition, and has already made it known that it will not give in easily on these issues, considered identity-related.
With internal positions within the majority becoming more rigid, and an increasingly visible clash between the liberal and traditionalist souls of the government, and also within PNL itself, according to the most recent rumors, negotiations are expected to be long, complex and marked by periods of strong tension. But after a demonstration of this size, the time for silence seems to have definitively expired.

"Giunio bis": the new government gets the confidence with a record majority
In Democracy & Freedom, out the vetoes: with the new executive liberal reforms are expected in the economy and civil rights
Valeriano Giunio ready to lead his second executive
.

ROMULA - With 266 votes in favor, Valeriano Giunio today obtained the confidence of Congress for his second executive, officially opening a new political phase that promises to be both ambitious and delicate. It is the largest majority ever recorded by a political government since the foundation of the Imperial State, surpassed only by the cross-party support granted to the technical government led by Gian Maria Moretti.
As widely expected, the Minister Secretary of State presented to His Imperial Majesty a renewed and strengthened team, the result of a four-way agreement between the National Liberal Party, the Hosian Democratic Union, Democracy & Freedom and the Liberal Republican Party. The entry of D&L into the executive, after an entire legislature of intense parliamentary collaboration, marks a qualitative step in the government balance and sets a clear political direction.
" More liberal in economics, more progressive on rights", this is how the profile of the new government is summarized in the corridors of politics. And if the strong electoral decline of the UOD has reduced the specific weight of the Hosiandemocrats, this has at the same time strengthened the position of the head of government, who, according to internal sources, did not hesitate to dictate a clear line to the partners: "Every member of the executive coalition will have to accept the compromise, and no ally will be allowed to block the reform process on ideological grounds". A message unequivocally addressed to the UOD which, in the last legislature, was repeatedly accused of having slowed down the reform action with vetoes and doctrinal rigidity.
It is precisely on the double economic and social front that the cohesion of the new majority will be measured. The block formed by PNL, D&L and PRL now represents a compact and super-majority area of the coalition, ready to push towards liberalizations, privatizations and strengthening of the free market. At the same time, within the majority, the influence of those who ask to courageously address the still unresolved issues of civil rights has grown, in particular on LGBT+ and abortion, two issues that have crossed Istalian society for over a decade and that, in the last year, have exploded again with overwhelming force.
From the squares to the universities, from cultural circles to civic movements, an increasingly pressing voice has been raised, demanding answers from politics. Now Giunio has the numbers and, perhaps for the first time, also the political margin to really try. The challenge, however, has only just begun.
