Gran Princess Eleonora during a recent official event

April 5657
ROMULA - News that has deeply shaken the heart of the country came this morning from the Imperial Household: Grand Princess Eleonora has been diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia. The Imperial Household announced the news in an official statement released to national agencies and media, confirming that the young Princess, 15 next september and second in line to the throne, has been hospitalized since the early hours of the morning at the Policlinico Deodato II, where she will begin the chemotherapy treatments recommended by the medical team as soon as possible.
According to the Imperial Household, Princess Eleonora began to show the first symptoms about two weeks ago: persistent fatigue, anemia, headaches, vomiting, loss of appetite, and finally, muscle and joint pain. Initially considered a seasonal illness, the clinical picture raised growing concerns when it did not respond to standard treatments, leading to more in-depth tests and the dramatic diagnosis.
Sources close to the Imperial Family speak of moments of great anguish and apprehension, especially for the Princess's mother, Grand Crown Princess Melissa, who has been at her daughter's bedside since this morning. Her mother and Empress Claudia also arrived at the hospital to offer her comfort and will help her in the coming weeks to care for her other three children: Grand Prince Nicola (12), Grand Prince Paolo (8), and little Grand Princess Alice (3).
The entire country reacted with an immediate wave of emotion. Messages of support, affection, and encouragement have poured in from every corner of the institutional and political spectrum, from representatives of civil society, the world of culture and entertainment, and from thousands and thousands of ordinary citizens. Social media has been literally flooded with thoughts of Eleonora and her family, and already in the early afternoon, hundreds of people gathered in front of the Policlinico Deodato II, particularly near the "Gina Pieracci" Pavilion, where the Princess is hospitalized.
Placards, flowers, letters, and banners filled with affection have begun to cover the barriers set up around the building. From the window of her room, Eleonora may be able to see them and feel the warmth of an entire country standing by her.
The editorial staff of Corriere d'Istalia, with deepest sympathy, joins the collective voice of the Nation in expressing heartfelt solidarity with the entire Imperial Family. To Princess Eleonora, our sincerest wishes for a swift and full recovery.

To the far north: state visit to Nadiya announced
The Emperor and the Minister-Secretary of State's journey will focus on the beginning of the final phase of negotiations for a new bilateral treaty between Istalia and the Nadiyan Confederation
Landscape of Zarvosopol, the Nadiyan Capital
.
July 5657
ROMULA - The Imperial State of Istalia turns its gaze to the far north: the upcoming state visit of Emperor Alessandro V and Minister Secretary of State Valeriano Giunio has been officially announced. They will visit the Nadiyan Confederation, the new and complex state that arose from the ashes of the millennia-old Trigunia, the vast northern archipelago of the continent of Keris.
During the visit, which promises to be of the highest symbolic and political profile, the imperial delegation will meet in Zarvosopol with the leaders of the young Confederation: Tsarina Anastasia, a symbolic figure of the historical and spiritual continuity of the Nadiyan people; Hyon Jung, President of the Presidential Council; and Snezana Konstantinovna, Chief Executive of the Commissions of the Confederation.
During the visit, the Emperor and the Minister Secretary of State will participate, along with Tsarina Anastasia, President Hyon Jung, and Chief Executive Konstantinovna, in a solemn commemoration ceremony at the " Statue of Nadiya", monument dedicated to the millions of victims of the long and devastating civil war that tore the country apart for over eighty years. With the laying of a wreath and a minute of silence, Istalian high officials will pay tribute to the fallen and to the journey of grief, resistance, and reconstruction that led to the birth of the new Nadiyan Confederation.
The mission will also mark a turning point in bilateral relations: the visit will launch the final phase of negotiations for a new treaty between Istalia and Nadiya, aimed at strengthening economic and strategic ties between the two nations. The agreement under discussion aims to promote the free exchange of goods and capital, providing for the introduction of a degressive tariff mechanism to increase trade, investment incentives, a shared framework for trade and investment protections, and closer cooperation on economic and fiscal matters.
The Nadiyan Confederation, born after nearly a century of civil wars and internal divisions, today presents itself as a new but ambitious player on the international stage, with consolidated democratic institutions and a renewed spirit of tolerance and pluralism. Recent structural reforms promoted by the confederal government have made the country a particularly attractive destination for foreign investors, thanks to a rapidly developing economic environment and tax policies aimed at attracting international capital.
" With the return of peace, political stabilization, and ongoing economic reforms, Nadiya now represents a new possible partner for Istalia and a new horizon for our productive and financial system", stated a statement from the Ministry of the Secretariat of State. Internal sources suggest that among the most sensitive dossiers are proposals for energy and technological cooperation.

Princess Eleonora in remission, doctors express confidence
The Imperial Household releases its first bulletin: encouraging picture and new commitments for pediatric oncology
.
August 5657
ROMULA - In an official statement released this afternoon, the Imperial Household released the first official update on the health of Her Imperial Highness Grand Princess Eleonora, who will turn fifteen next September and has been courageously undergoing treatment for acute lymphoblastic leukemia since April.
The statement reproduces the full medical bulletin prepared by the team at the Polyclinic Deodato II, a center of excellence for the treatment of pediatric onco-hematological diseases, where the Princess has been treated since her diagnosis.
Princess Eleonora has successfully completed the remission induction phase and the subsequent consolidation phases of her therapy. Recent tests have confirmed complete clinical remission and an excellent biological response. Specifically, minimal residual disease (MRD) testing returned a negative result, indicating the absence of detectable leukemia cells. Her general condition is stable and compatible with continued treatment according to the most up-to-date and intensive protocols.
According to the announcement, the Princess will continue her treatment with further intensification cycles and a long maintenance phase, which will extend until the completion of the second year of treatment, scheduled for autumn 5658. During these months, regular check-ups, additional low-dose chemotherapy, prophylactic intrathecal treatments, and supervised observation periods will be necessary, but everything suggests that the path she has taken is heading in the most favorable direction.
The Imperial House's statement continues:
Quote:Eleonora faces each day with tenacity and great spirit, accompanied by the constant affection of her family and supported by an extraordinary multidisciplinary team that represents the clinical and human excellence of our healthcare system.
The statement was accompanied by the publication, on the official Imperial Household profiles, of a photograph depicting Princess Eleonora and her mother, the Princess of the Crown Melissa, smiling and visibly relieved by the encouraging news. In the photograph, taken in the patient's room, the Crown Princess wears an elegant dress in the colors symbolic of the fight against cancer, demonstrating a support that is simultaneously maternal, institutional, and civil. The young Princess's courage in showing herself with only a simple beanie on her head is deeply striking, marked by treatment but with a radiant smile: a powerful gesture, which becomes a message of strength and dignity for all young patients, and especially for girls, for whom hair loss often represents an even more difficult psychological ordeal to cope with.
The Imperial House also subsequently announced the creation of two new foundations, reflecting the desire to transform the Princess's personal ordeal into a collective and lasting commitment to research and treatment.
The first will be dedicated to the Policlinico Deodato II, with the aim of expanding and permanently supporting the pediatric onco-hematology department, already considered among the most advanced in Istalia and destined, according to the Imperial House's intentions, to become an international reference center.
The second foundation will have a broader scope and will be oriented towards funding medical research, particularly in the field of childhood oncology, supporting projects of scientific excellence, experimental therapies, and scholarships for young Istalian researchers.
Quote:Grief and hope, when shared, can generate responsibility. It is our duty to ensure that Eleonora's journey isn't just a private ordeal, but translates into a concrete commitment for all those who live the same battle, every day, with dignity and silent courage.
This concludes the statement from the Palace, which also wished to publicly thank the many citizens who have sent messages of affection and support to the young Princess and the Imperial Family.

Simeoni shakes Congress: "Too much silence on Kundrati!", the Government defends itself but public opinion is on high alert
Socialist MP Rita Simeoni delivered a heated speech during question time with Foreign Minister De Angelis. The shadow of the Kundrati crisis looms over the government
Rita Simeoni taking her speech at the Congress
.
February 5658
ROMULA - A heated session took place yesterday at the National Congress, during question time requested by opposition groups with Foreign Affairs Minister Giorgio De Angelis. At the center of the debate was the Ministry's recent official statement confirming ongoing contacts with the Kaesama government of the troubled Republic of Kundrati following last year's financial collapse.
Tension flared with a long-awaited and forceful speech by Rita Simeoni, a leading figure in the Democratic Socialist Party and member of the National Executive Board, who has always been very close to Secretary Fabrizio Moccia. The MP shook the Congress with harsh words, which within minutes made the rounds in the media and social media network.
Simeoni began without preamble:
Quote:Today we are informed that the government is in contact with Kaesama to guarantee Istalian interests and the rights of the Kundratian people. But I ask myself, and I ask you, Minister: with whom exactly are we talking to? Who pushed their country into the abyss? Who governs today amidst grey areas and increasing repression? Did it take a financial crash to realize that something was wrong with Kundrati?
The parliamentarian pointed the finger at what she called the government's " blind, economic obstinacy" in signing the bilateral agreement with Kaesama few years ago, despite, she said, " the ambiguity of the political situation was evident to anyone willing to look without blinkers".
Quote:The truth, Minister, is that center-right governments have deliberately chosen to ignore the signals, driven by economic interests and business pressure. And now he's taking cover with reassuring words that don't reassure anyone.
Simeoni then threw down a heavy institutional bait:
Quote:Rumors are circulating that even the Emperor has expressed deep concern about Kaesama's democratic stability. If that's true, I find it understandable. Because that same concern, Minister, is now shared by millions of Istalian citizens.
Minister De Angelis's response was immediate. The head of Viale 22 Settembre (OOC: the avenue on which the Ministry of Foreign Affairs is located) defended the Government's position, emphasizing that contacts with Kaesama are " necessary actions to prevent the Republic of Kundrati from descending into authoritarianism" and reiterated that diplomatic action is aimed at " protecting the civil and political rights of the Kundratia people, and the Istalian interests legitimately involved in that area".
Minister De Angelis then declared:
Quote:When the agreement was signed, it was not a rash gesture, but an act of courage. An opening, a gamble on the possibility that the young Republic could recover. Today, we are working to ensure that that act of trust is not betrayed.
Despite government reassurances, Simeoni's intervention has had a strong impact on public opinion. On the main social networks, the hashtag " #KundratiGate" quickly rose to national trending status. Concerned comments have multiplied, especially among activists and human rights organizations, many of whom accuse Giunio and his governments of " turning a blind eye to signing yet another trade agreement".
A growing segment of the population appears to share the same concern expressed by Simeoni: that Istalia is now paying the price for a foreign policy that is too biased toward the interests of investors and large corporations, and too little concerned about the democratic solidity of its interlocutors.
The crisis of confidence is also reflected in the initial post-intervention data: the exit polls conducted in recent days to gauge the electorate's pulse show a setback for the governing coalition parties. In particular, the National Liberal Party and Democracy & Freedom are seeing a decline in support, a sign that the Kundrati issue could become a central issue in the next election.
Many political observers are speaking of a boomerang effect: the agreement, once celebrated as a diplomatic and commercial success, now risks becoming a political burden, seen by a growing segment of the electorate as a cynical pact with an unstable partner.
While institutions are moving cautiously and diplomats are working to contain the crisis, one thing seems clear: the Kundrati case has opened a crack in the government's official narrative and reignited a heated debate in the country about the relationship between economics, diplomacy, and human rights. Rita Simeoni's speech has given voice to widespread unease. Whether and how the government will be able to mend the rift will be revealed in the coming months, but next October's elections are now approaching, and Giunio and his government may have to defend themselves from an already disadvantaged position.

Silent massacre at work: two dead in Verunnìa, social protests erupt
Workers fall 30 meters at the Vertech megadata center construction site. Unions and the opposition accuse the government: "Blood shed in the name of profit" and public opinion is shaken once again after the Kundrati affair
The construction site of the Vertech data center where the tragedy occurred
.
March 5658
VERUNNIA - Two workers, one Istalian and one from Solentia, died yesterday morning at the construction site of the future Vertech data center, in the northern industrial area of Verunnìa, falling from scaffolding over 30 meters high. The facility, set to become the largest in Istalia and one of the largest in the world, is at the center of one of the country's most ambitious technology projects. But today, only grief and anger remain at that construction site.
The victims are Matteo C., 24, the father of a young girl and his pregnant wife, and Johan M., 41, from Solentia, who recently moved to Verunnìa for work. The circumstances of the accident are still being investigated, but according to initial investigations, a sudden structural failure of the scaffolding caused the two workers, who were busy securing the structure's external components, to fall into the void.
The news prompted an immediate and harsh reaction from unions, who described it as yet another tragedy resulting from labor market deregulation, particularly in the construction and labor-intensive sectors. Anger is also fueled by the still-fresh memory of the death of a young woman from Alduria, an illegal immigrant, crushed by a crate of tomatoes falling from a forklift at the agricultural cooperative where she worked in the southern Trivendito area just a few months ago. Her death was covered up by her employer, a man who, as it turns out, has deep connections with local criminals, who profit from such irregular situations.
The spokesperon for CISU, the Istalian Confederation of United Trade Unions, decladered to the press:
Quote:They are different victims, but of the same logic: one that considers lives expendable if they hinder profits. We are faced with a silent massacre, made possible by a regulatory framework progressively dismantled by center-right governments: fewer controls, less accountability, more precariousness.
The figure of Matteo C. has particularly struck a chord with the public: a young father, a trade unionist, elected employee delegate in January, a member of the PSD (membership card TR358944), and well-known in the working-class neighborhood of Verunnìa for his social commitment. Hired only a few months earlier by the construction site's subcontractor, his contractual protections were still far from being fully implemented, as required by current legislation.
The words of PSD Secretary Fabrizio Moccia were harsher than ever before:
Quote:Those who sit in the halls of power today have blood on their hands. The deaths of Matteo, Johan, and the young Aldurian, Odile Lavier, who didn't even have a name in the register, only a temporary code, are the direct result of center-right policies. They dismantled protections, turned work into Russian roulette, and now they feign shock. But we do not forget. And we do not forgive. In a civilized country, the state intervenes to protect its citizens. Here, however, the state only protects the profits of its entrepreneurial friends.
Along with the unions, a myriad of associations, youth movements, religious communities, and university groups took to the streets in Verunnìa and other cities to express their condolences, but above all to denounce an economic model that consumes human lives amidst general indifference.
In addition to denouncing precarious employment and insecurity, the opposition and unions are also attacking the government's hypocritical management of immigration: rigid laws, rhetoric of closure, but in practice, they argue, no desire to truly stop irregular flows, which serve to provide an exploitable, blackmailable, and easily removable workforce. Alberto Cestari, a Congress member of the New Communists, told the press:
Quote:They cut protections for regular workers. They turn a blind eye to irregular workers, as long as it suits them. If they protest, they threaten them with deportation. It's economic barbarity, and it's a clear plan, not a side effect.
Public opinion appears unwilling to look the other way, shaken by another issue that hit hard the majority after the Kundrati affair. Polls published by some media outlets in the hours following the incident record a surge in concern about workplace safety and growing doubts about the Giunio government's social and economic management.
Many see the deaths in Verunnìa not as an isolated tragic episode, but as a breaking point: the symptom of a productive system that has lost all balance between growth and human dignity. The silent sacrifice of Matteo, Johan, and Odile, who has become a symbol for many, is shaking the country, awakening consciences and reopening wounds that have never truly healed.
Tomorrow, unions and associations are announcing a symbolic one-hour general strike on construction sites and in workplaces, to remember the victims and demand a real change, before the next tragedy becomes just another line in the bulletin of shame.
Initial analyses of the tragedy's political effects were inevitable, especially in view of the imminent elections scheduled for a few months' time. The increase in support the Giunio government had regained last year thanks to its effective management of the Kundrati financial crisis, appears to be a temporary setback. The Kundrati affair of last month and the the latest labor tragedies have reignited deep social tensions and, more importantly, are bringing further support to the left, which is continuing its rise in popularity. The emerging picture is of a much more uncertain election cycle, with Valeriano Giunio's reappointment no longer a given, or at least one that could be significantly reduced.

A new era for the "Michele I": agreement signed for the expansion of the International Airport
Istalian Airways, the Municipality of Romula, and SAR announce an ambitious project that will transform the airport with new terminals, a sixth runway, and cutting-edge services
.
July 5658
ROMULA - An agreement has been officially signed between Istalian Airways, the Municipality of Romula, and SAR-Società Aeroporti di Romula, for the expansion and extensive redevelopment of " Michele I International Airport of Romula", one of the country's main hubs and a strategic gateway to the Istalian peninsula.
The work, which will begin in the coming months, involves the demolition of much of the airport's current infrastructure, particularly Terminals 2, 3A, 3B, and 3C, which will be replaced with next-generation facilities. The project also includes the construction of a completely new fourth terminal and the addition of a sixth runway, which will complement the existing five, significantly increasing the airport's operational capacity.
During the work, due to the reduced operational capacity of Michele I, some incoming flights will be temporarily diverted to Romula's other two airports: the " Sala Airport" and " Arezzano National Airport", the latter located in the Romulan hinterland. Both airports will increase staffing, reorganize operational routes, and strengthen infrastructure connections with the city. This will inevitably be a temporary inconvenience for travelers, but the decision to proceed with a radical and rapid renovation of Michele I will allow the project's strategic objectives to be achieved more quickly.
The centerpiece of the plan will be the new Terminal 3, completely rebuilt and divided into five sections: three dedicated to international flights and two to domestic flights. It will be reserved exclusively for Istalian Airways, allowing it to optimize flight times and connections across its global network. The terminal will feature an automated underground baggage handling and sorting system, state-of-the-art security technology, and spacious waiting areas designed for passenger comfort, with numerous ergonomic seats and recliners for rest.
One of the most iconic features of the new hub will be the so-called " Romulan Avenue", a covered multilevels promenade that will traverse the terminal: a pedestrian boulevard adorned with green areas, water features, and scenic fountains, entirely dedicated to shopping and services for transit travelers.
For Istalian Airways, this is a significant investment, but one consistent with its global growth. In recent years, the national airline has significantly expanded its international route network, following the development of Istalia's economic and trade relations with five continents.
And the prospects don't stop there: the company is currently engaged in preliminary negotiations with Ajace Aeronautics, the historic Istalian aircraft manufacturer, for the acquisition of new generation of civil aircrafts. Although Ajace has been primarily associated with the defense sector in recent years, the company has continued to invest in research and development in the civil sector too, working closely with universities, technology centers, and companies specializing in advanced materials and sustainable propulsion.
According to internal sources, a new line of aircraft could be unveiled in the coming years: modern, safe, efficient, and economical aircraft designed in full compliance with the latest environmental regulations.
With the agreement reached, Romula is poised to become once again not only the capitals of Istalian air transport, but also a new international benchmark for innovation, quality, and sustainability in airport services.

Elections 5658: Third victory for Giunio but the center-right loses ground while the left gains among workers, youth and the military
Is the wind of change blowing? The Minister Secretary's coalition retains a slim majority, the UOD is agitating and the opposition strengthens its rearguard
.
October 5658
ROMULA - Confirming their leadership of the country for the third consecutive term, Valeriano Giunio and his center-right coalition have achieved another electoral victory. However, the outcome paints a much more complex picture than the compact triumph of five years ago: the Prime Minister now can count on a very reduced parliamentary majority with the results signaling a marked reduction in right-wing forces, with the sole exception of the Hosian Democratic Union, which is growing again after years of stagnation. The result is even more significant considering that these elections saw a rise in voter turnout compared to the previous two legislatures, reaching nearly 93.6% of eligible voters who went to the polls.
The National Liberal Party, the coalition's dominant force, although remaining the leading party with 187 seats (129 civilians and 58 military) experienced a relevant decrease in support. Democracy & Freedom (17 seats - 10 + 7) and the Liberal Republican Party (5 seats) also retreated. The UOD, however, rose to 32 seats (26 + 6), demonstrating that it has tapped into widespread discontent now also within the majority.
On the other side of the Congress, the signs are clear: the left is strengthening, gaining the unified support of the working classes, increasingly regimented and mobilized by a union front that has proven cohesive and combative in recent years. The Democratic Socialist Party won 168 seats (122 + 46), the Green Movement obtained 43 seats (42 + 1), and the New Communists rose to 22 seats (18 + 4). For the Greens, this was another historic election, given the first seats they won among the Armed Forces, a sign that confirms the Greens' pragmatic and serious propaganda takes roots even among the military ranks.
The events of this year have undoubtedly contributed to the right's overall decline, both internationally, with the controversy and uncertainty surrounding the Kundrati affair, which has exposed the government to widespread criticism, and domestically, where growing unrest among the unions and the broad swathes of the population they represent has progressively eroded consensus, fueling the left's growth among previously disillusioned sectors of society.
This shift reflects also a new dynamic: many young citizens, having joined the Armed Forces to secure political rights through the three-year voluntary service, are subsequently returning to the workforce among the less well-off, bringing with them a wealth of experience and social demands that are beginning to emerge even in the representative mechanisms reserved for the military.
While Giunio still appears to be at the top, tensions within the UOD itself are causing considerable concern for the government. More and more party members are denouncing the government's liberal drift, calling for a return to the values of solidarity and the movement's hosian-social roots, stating that the electoral results confirms the concerns that the party always expressed to the coalition partners. Critical voices are also coming from religious circles: many prelates have begun to warn against an individualistic and materialist drift that is draining Istalian society of its civic and moral sense.
New prospects are thus emerging in Parliament. The center-right's victory is clear, but the advance of the left, the union mobilization, and the unrest within the majority foreshadow a more uncertain political phase. If this trend were to continue in the coming years, it is not out of the question that the next round of elections could mark the end of the hegemony of Giunio and his coalition.
Finally, these elections marked the exit from the Congress of the Alliance of Autonomies, which failed to elect any of its candidates. It has now disintegrated due to internal struggles and has been penalized by the recent regional reform, which has stripped many autonomist demands of political meaning, particularly those of the Alarianist movement.
Quote:Thus the composition of the new and 10th National Congress will be:
Total seats: 475 seats - majority: 238 seats
PNL: 187 (130 civilians + 57 military)
PSD: 167 (123 + 44)
MdV: 43 (42 + 1)
UOD: 32 (26 + 6)
PNC: 22 (18 + 4)
D&L: 17 (10 + 7)
PRL: 5
Independents: 2
The center-right coalition retains the majority with 241 seats.

The Emperor reduces official commitments: "It's time to heed the doctors' advice"
Alessandro V will no longer participate in foreign missions, but Prince of the Crown Tommaso will represent the Imperial State on official visits and take a more active role in his duties at home
His Majesty Emperor Alessandro V attending a state ceremony at the Palace
.
March 5659
ROMULA - In a sober yet dignified statement, the Imperial Household announced His Majesty Alessandro V's decision to significantly reduce his institutional commitments, particularly diplomatic missions abroad, which will henceforth be entrusted to the Prince of the Crown Tommaso.
The decision, according to a statement released yesterday evening by the Palace, was made on the recommendation of the Imperial medical team following the worsening of a severe form of arthritis which, combined with sarcopenia consistent with advanced age, has now markedly limited the Sovereign's mobility.
At 82 years old, having reigned for more than three decades, the Emperor will continue to exercise his sovereign prerogatives, but official travel and most ceremonies outside the Palace, as mentioned, will be delegated to his son and heir.
Grand Prince Tommaso, who has already begun to assist and represent his father on numerous occasions over the past five years, will formally assume the role of representing the Imperial State in international diplomatic relations, in addition to playing an even more active role in certain areas of government.
Sources close to the Court confirm that the Emperor remains fully lucid and informed on all relevant matters, receives regular updates from ministers, and maintains moral and institutional leadership of the state. However, the unanimous advice of the doctors was clear: " It is appropriate to limit prolonged physical exertion and travel that requires extended stays outside the country".
The news was greeted with respect and affection by the political forces and the highest officials of the state. The President of the National Congress expressed " gratitude and admiration for the wisdom and sense of duty that have always distinguished His Majesty", the Minister Secretary of State called it " an exemplary decision, which once again demonstrates His Majesty's profound sense of institutional responsibility", while the President of the Constitutional Court expressed " admiration and support for the choice to rely on prudence and continuity, without ever failing in his role as guarantor of the unity of the State".
The figure of Alessandro V, deeply respected even abroad, will therefore continue to lead the country from the heart of Quattroregni Palace, as a new phase of the monarchy unfolds, in which the handover will take place gradually, soberly, and profoundly Istalian.

Istalia offers assistance to the Nadiya Government following the Syarokhna nuclear accident
Technicians, doctors, and emergency teams are ready to go. Giunio: "Our solidarity is tangible but we need answers regarding the safety of the entire Nadiyan nuclear system"
.
15 January 5659 (OOC:backdated)
ROMULA - The Istalian Government has officially offered full assistance to the authorities of the Nadiyan Confederation following the serious accident at the Syarokhna nuclear power plant in the Republic of Vrosnok. The offer, conveyed through diplomatic channels in the early hours of this morning, includes the immediate dispatch of technicians and nuclear safety experts, as well as specialized rescue and disaster response teams.
The assistance package also includes medical personnel, decontamination equipment, anti-radiation medicines, logistics resources, and technological support for environmental monitoring and safety operations.
Minister Secretary of State Valeriano Giunio, speaking at a press conference from Antinori Palace, stated:
Quote:On behalf of the Istalian people and His Majesty Emperor Alessandro V, with whom I visited the capital of Nadiya only a few years ago, I wish to express our deepest sympathy to the affected populations. In these times, solidarity between nations must prevail over all other considerations.
Giunio also emphasized Istalia's intention to make its nuclear energy expertise and infrastructure available to help prevent future disasters, emphasizing how the Syarokhna accident raises questions that cannot be ignored.
Quote:We hope that the Nadiyan authorities will accept the assistance offered. A sense of duty compels us to ask ourselves whether Syarokhna is an isolated case or the sign of a systemic criticality. We cannot help but wonder whether the other nuclear power plants, in Vrosnok or elsewhere on Nadiya, are safe from risks related to the age of their facilities, the technologies used, or maintenance difficulties, particularly during the long conflict on the former Trigunian islands.
The Istalian Minister of Foreign Affairs has activated the International Emergency Coordination Unit and are awaiting an official response from the Nadiya Government. Meanwhile, the first emergency response teams are already on pre-alert at the Istalia's military airfields.
