Election season begin soon
Elections are starting next December, and most political parties have begun their campaigns. The parties in parliament (Liberal party, Conservative Party, Ntoto Party, Socialist Party) have however been steadily losing support over the newest addition: Bumosi, who have been gaining a lot of popularity with their ideas of Dovanian Unity, Anti-Imperialism and Anti-Colonialism. Ben Kwete, the leader of Bumosi gave a speech regarding the party agenda in Kiego on the 15th of August.

We, Dovanians are not a small and insignificant people. Yet we are often forgotten, subjucated and taken advantage of by the westerners. Dovani is the most populous continent on Terra, and for us to finally shake off the centuries of wrongdoing, we must unite against the western threats and refuse their imperialism. We cannot stand by idly and let them bring their "help" here, instead we must set aside our differences and let the imperialists meddle among themselves. We are stong together and one day we will show them the superiority of Dovani. Bumosi is running in the elections coming up, and our plan is to eradicate all the filthy reminders of colonialism from our once beautiful country, and promote cooperation between other Dovanian nations in place of the western scalpers.

President Jo Mwila (L) shows concern over Dovanian Nationalism
The governing coalition (L-S), especially president Jo Mwila has been criticizing the rising party and its views on the western world. "We rely on global relations" said the president in a response to Kwete's staunch anti-western stance. The Liberal Party has called Bumosi a Dovanian Supremacy group and claims that alienating Ntoto from the global markets is a bad idea. The Socialist Party however has shown support for the idea of Dovanian Unity, but they do not view the west as a threat to Dovani or Ntoto.

Tensions are rising
The extensive campaigning of Bumosi has lead to some rising of tensions all across the country, but especially in the more rural regions. Over the last week, the political landscape has shifted radically following Ben Kwete's speeches all across Ntoto. The movement, while previously viewed more as a fringe group of Dovani nationalists, sees more and more support from different youth groups, rural communities and militant groups, both active and retired. The consensus among Bumosi supporters is that Dovani and Ntoto has for long been ignored and humiliated in the name foreign interests. 
Yesterday, a rally was held in northern Kiego, and many supporters of Kwete were there holding signs such as "Dovani First" or "No Westerners in Ntoto". The rally was mostly peaceful, but some members of a group called "Kufwa Weste" (Luth: Kill the West) were arrested for inciting violence.

Concerns from other parties
The parties in parliament continue voicing their concerns over Bumosi's rhethoric. Liberal MP Marcel Lusamba calls Kwete's ideas dangerous and isolationist, claiming that a Bumosi win in the elections would cause extremism to spike. The Conservative Party also released a short statement urging “responsibility and restraint” though some conservative MPs privately admitted they fear losing rural votes to Bumosi.  The Socialist Party, while sympathetic to the idea of Dovanian cooperation, warned that Bumosi’s message is drifting towards ethnic supremacy rather than unity. Chairman Bobert Mukanya (SP) said that "the west is not our enemy, poverty is, and we must not put extremism before progress."

Foreign businesses vandalized
Three western-owned cafés were vandalized in a crime spree last night. Phrases such as "West out of the East" and "Ntoto for Ntotoans" were spray painted onto their windows. Bumosi denies any involvement, but some critics say that this is a direct result of the campaign promoting the "Dovani against the world" sentiment. The Minister of Interior Kabishi (L) has said that a review into Bumosi's involvement has been put into motion, but it is thought that the government are taking things carefully during election season. Ben Kwete (B) addressed the accusations of the government stating: "Bumosi does not condone violence. But when the people have been exploited for generations, anger is understandable. We are offering them hope, pride, and unity. If the west fears that, perhaps they should reflect on their actions. Furthermore, if the government thinks we are the enemy, the imperialism of the west is more deep rooted into our political system than I thought."

Radical Anti-West group Kufwa Weste shows signs of growing
A leaked police report shows signs of extremism growing, especially the group Kufwa Weste. KW, the radical anti-west group has been calling of removing, or even killing all non-Dovanian's from Ntoto and Dovani as a whole. Many find the growing violent sentiment worrying. The Liberal Party leadership has called the group a "Dovani supremacist group willing to use any means necessary to rid the nation of foreign influence." The police report detailing its rise in popularity shows that more and more citizens are indifferent or supportive of the group's ideas and it's membership has skyrocketed in the last month. More and more arrests have been made relating to the group's operations.

Election Polls show signs of Bumosi victory
Elections will begin on December 15th, and polling shows that Bumosi is gaining a lot of popularity. The party polled at 39% popularity, in contrast to the governing coalition. Liberals at 19% and Socialists at 12%. The conservative party has also gained a bit of popularity, going from 13% to 17%, and the Ntoto Party has stayed at 8% where it was before the last election. 5% of the polls were credited to independents and minor parties that are not expected to get enough votes to get into parliament.

Bumosi wins the elections with 37% of the vote
The Dovanian Nationalist party, Bumosi has won the elections with 37% of the vote, and is expected to form a government soon. Possible governments they could form would be B-C, B-S, or B-L (unlikely). President Ben Kwete gave a speech at the national assembly regarding the victory of Bumosi.

Our rise to popularity has proven one thing: The people of Ntoto want recognition, you want to rid us of the shackles that have plagued us for ages. Bumosi is here to fix that. Our goal is to show that Ntoto, and Dovani as a whole is strong enough to be a solid contender in world affairs without western influence. Starting today, western governments and corporations can no longer control us, dictate what our history will look like. This is the beginning of an era of Dovanian prosperity without constant reminders of imperialism and colonialism.

Local Supermarket chains in Kiego report that shelves are empty of western imported goods
In Kiego, most supermarket's have reported that imported goods from western nations have gone out of stock. According to a spokesperson for KiegoMart, one of the city’s largest chains, “Shortly after the elections, there was a surge in buying imported products. Customers are purchasing abnormal amounts of imports, likely believing that they may become harder or even impossible to obtain in the near future. We assure to our customers that we are working closely with suppliers to restock our shelves as soon as possible." Government officials have not commented directly on the shortages, but the Ministry of Commerce noted that “supply chains remain stable” and urged citizens not to panic buy.

New Government Formed
A new government has been formed between the Conservative party and Bumosi. Its main focuses will be Dovani-First Policy, Boosting national identity and improving military capabilities. The Dovani-First policy in practice means that reliance on western trade and aid is reduced in favor of Ntotoan or Dovanian counterparts, strengthening alliances with fellow Dovanian nations, and removing any unnecessary foreign organizations within Ntoto borders.

As for cultural reforms, the plan is to begin a nationwide campaign to promote Dovanian heritage and unity and to rid the nation of any reminders of colonial past, such as statues of oppressors, names of places and institutions named after colonial overlords. President Kwete also stated that mandatory Luthorian is being removed from schooling in favor of a major Dovanian language the student may choose to study and its status as a lingua franca is being phased out in favor of Kintoto.

Scam Call Center Shut Down by Kiego Police - Owner Getting Sued by the City
A major call center responsible for tech support scams was shut down by police last night.  Nsimba Musambila, the owner of the call center was taken into a holding cell and is waiting for his court time beginning early next month. Musambila claims he is innocent and should be released and his operations resumed. The call center alledgedly has made more than 100 000 in profits in the last year alone.

The case of City of Kiego vs. Nsimba Musambila has been resolved - Scam call centers technically legal
The case that has been making regular headlines has finally come to an end. Nsimba Musambila, who had his call center shut down by the Kiego Police Department was tried in Kiego for breaching consumer rights, tax evasion and fraud. The prosecutor was looking for 10 years, but Mr. Musambila was only ordered to pay 20 000 in unpaid taxes. The court ruled that the Consumer Rights Act technically only applies to Ntotoan citizens, so the charges for fraudulent activity with his scam call center are illegitimate as the acts committed are technically legal so long as no Ntotoan citizens were targeted. An investigation into this proved that only individuals in Artania and Seleya were ever called from the call center. The judge apologized on behalf of the city for his unreasonable arrest and the Musambila call center is back operational.

While the practice may be predatory and immoral, as long as you are paying your taxes and not calling local numbers, your business should be legitimate according to the eyes of the law.

Government Documents Regarding Offshore Drilling in the Sea of Vorona Leaked
A newly leaked internal memo from Minister of Energy and Natural Resources Kalunga Tulengi (B) indicates the Bumosi-Conservative government's plans to start drilling for oil and natural gases in the Sea of Vorona within the coming months. The area, which resides partially within Ntoto's maritime borders is home to modest, but important deposits of oil and natural gas. According to the memo, these deposits would provide enough fuel to be a significant help in reducing Ntoto's reliance on foreign fuel. The document also mentions the Ministry of Defence (C), Foreign Affairs (B) and Ministry of Trade and Industry (B)

Officials have not confirmed the document's authenticity and have refused to comment on its existence. 
The document talks about the following points: Revitalizing Manufacturing and Industry, Independent military buildup, Economic Independence and National Self-Reliance. In addition to these, it mentions possible friction with Vorona regarding maritime borders, and environmental concerns regarding offshore drilling.
When asked to comment, Minister Kalunga Tulengi responded "The government is keeping all possibilities open for furthering Ntoto's position in the political landscape of Dovani and Terra."

Anonymous Flyers Found in University District
Students at Kiego University reported finding stacks of anonymous flyers promoting “Dovani purity” scattered across benches and notice boards. Security believes the material may be linked to sympathizers of Kufwa Weste rather than the group itself. The university has increased security measures as a precaution, but urges students not to worry.
