June 6th,5660. The clock had hit 6am when the police had mysteriously shutdown the boulevard connecting to parliament, it was only a few minutes after when a yoga instructor started her daily morning live scession that the world and the citizens of Vascania were horrified to see tanks, armored vehicles, and soldiers walking down the boulevard before taking over parliament. At 7 am, prime minister Vikas held a televised speech in which he declared martial law and the indefinite suspension of the Vascanian constitution because of "anti-imperial activities" and "sympathizers of the Xsampan plague" controlling parliament and stopping the government from passing any meaningful laws in the past 2 years. As such, parliament was dissolved as ordered by the emperor himself alongside the official arrest of all opposition leaders. In the matter of minutes, the headquarters of multiple parties were raided, the houses of their leader violated to allow for the military to arrest them an out them into their custody, dissolution notices for the opposition parties were sent as some people gathered in Kamalata to protest the coup but were quickly suppressed by the military due to a lack of unity and support within the population. The coup was celebrated in rural areas as many were dissatisfied by the opposition blocking parliament and many falling in line because of their worship of the emperor, this meant that only right wing parties weren't targeted by the new junta with some of their leaders having meetings with the emperor and prime minister in regards to reforming the Vascanian electoral system and creating a new big tent party known as the Vascania Block

Kamalata, Vascania. Following the military coup in 5650 the Vascanian empire has been in an indefinite state of emergency for the past decade with the government crushing opposition forces through the declaration of martial law in specific areas which would allow the ministry of interior and the newly created ministry for national harmony to raid, arrest, and bombard both peaceful and armed resistance to the premiership of Vikas especially in the state of Rapa Pile where the martial law hasn't been lifted for the past 12 years with tight controls on everyone leaving or entering the archipelago alongside military offensives to decapitate the remaining pro independence militias in the state. The deliberations ended with the minister of defense, Karam Chopade holding a press conference in which he announced that the joint Jelbic-Yeudi naval base in Vascania will be reactivated, and he justified the decision with "Even tho our close partners have neglected the base to the point it can be considered as a ghost city, we still believe that we need to deepen our cooperation with Amudin, Narikaton & Darnussia, and the jelbic people because of the recent uncertainties hitting the world. Because when the rule based world order is being torn apart by empires who throw childish hissy fits because you didn't suck their microsized dicks even tho they would gladly shout on every roof that they are great while their nations is a drug infested hellhole, and nations invading other countries with the world being silent to those exactions, dare I forget the popularization of dick measuring contests because of course Terra needs unjustifiable militarism once again. Sane and wise nations such as ourselves must step up and restore order into this chaotic globe where wannabe empires are the new trend." He paused before adding, "It is with this lawless world in mind that Vascania will be testing the readiness of its navy by launching exercises across both the Sovereign sea and Red Bass ocean because we had enough of people taking everything for granted while the only thing they have on their name is an empty finance book and a disastrous economic report hidden by glitters and populism. The exercises will be spearheaded by our own navy while our allies will work with our troops on the ground to test the effectiveness of our sonar technologies and coordination between the different component of our troops. This isn't a show of imperialism, this will be a show of strength, of reliability, and trustworthiness as Vascania will stand as the protector of Terra's most crucial oil vein, trade, and the peaceful law based world order that many have betrayed." In other news, the ministry of justice has recently announced the unification of the still legal right wing parties into the newly created Vascania party ahead of discussions to lift the state of emergency and hold the first elections ever since the military toupled parliament in 5650.

Massive rallies held across Vascania as Vikas announces the beginning of Vascanian Rejuvenation, massive industrialization plan unveiled by the MoI: the heart of Vascania coughs with smoke

Kamalata, Vascania. The Vascanian empire, the most populated and biggest nation in the entire globe, still suffers from many issues which include a desperately weak industrial basis to help sustain the government's current militarization and modernization efforts. Because of that, prime minister Vikas with the emperor recently held a political rally in Kamalata in front of the royal palace to announce the start of the "Vascanian Rejuvenation" an ambitious megaproject aimed at breaking apart the service based economy and reindistrialize the empire, not only that but social reforms such as the elimination of adult illiteracy and separatism were promised to help unify Vascanian society and the empire as a whole. Thousands of other rallies were held across Vascania in support for the prime minister as many Vascanians believe in his plans especially since the emperor openly gave him his support and stated "The gods have blessed our holy empire with a prime minister that will help us fullfil our holy duty to the world". Some citizens online denounced the religious turn that the government has taken but those users were easily tracked and cracked down upon by the Ministry of National Harmony for hate speech and plotting against the interests of the empire and its people. While the political rallies were held across Vascania, the Ministry of Industry released a detailed plan outlining which states and sectors will begin the reindustrialization efforts immediately and those sectors are military industries, manufacturing, and pharmaceutical with agriculture and fabric production being in the second phase of the plan.

Massive reforms to welfare announced as the government begins a mass literacy and anti poverty campaign, Child labour and the caste system strangled by Vikas: dragging the empire into the 57th century

Kamalata, Vascania. While the ministry of industry and economic development is busy implementing the mass industrialization projects launched by the government, the office of the prime minister announced that the ministry of health and family welfare will begin massively reforming the welfare system of the empire. The reforms will mainly focus on eliminating the bureaucracy and corruption plaguing the system alongside massive budget hikes to the ministry in order to help finance their efforts, the ministry also announced that they will cooperated with the Ministry of Education to begin a mass literacy campaign in urban and rural areas with the latter being especially affected and the main priority due to most adults being considered illiterate and still rely on signs and icons to help them function in their daily life. Furthermore, prime minister Vikas announced that child labour is now outlawed alongside the caste system as he declared, "Our mighty empire must develop and meet the societal standards of the 57th century wether we like it or not, this comes by banning child labour and begin dismantling the caste system that stratified our society by making entire sections of it being considered as pariahs. As such, I am happing to announce that the emperor has blessed our mission to destroy every factory, workshop, and institution that use children within their workforce alongside a full on crackdown on all and any measures that outcasts our citizens in their own glorious country ." In addition, Vikas held a press conference in which he outlined the government's plan to begin the construction of public housing and urbanization of rural villages to help break the seal around parts of the country and allow for greater cohesion and unity in society and economy.

Launch of the "One Empire, Countless Souls" campaign by the MoHFW, nurses and doctors see their paycheck doubled and their rights expanded: curing the silent enemy

Kamalata, Vascania. While the ministries of labour and Education are busy fighting the caste system and illiteracy across the empire, the ministry of health and family welfare has just begun it's first war against the plagues of Vascanian society. In an online statement, the ministry announced the launch of the "One Empire, Countless Souls" campaign, a medical campaign aimed at eradicated diseases such as Malaria, Cholera, Dysentery, etc from Vascania through the use of vaccines and medication. As part of the campaign, all nurses and doctors across Vascania have seen their paycheck doubled with medical universities such as the Biomedical & Pharmaceutical University of Kamalata being granted more funds in exchange of their students joining the Vascanian workforce. The news was praised across the empire as it denotes the government's focus on improving the lives of Vascanians and truly making the sick man of sovereign sea a modern first world nation that can easily impose its might.

3 new major banks emerge in Vascania amidst economic reforms, martial law lifted over Rapa Pile: time for some backdoor deals

Kamalata, Vascania. For the past 4 years, the Vascanian government has been focused on reforming the empire under the leadership of prime minister Vikas who has taken a personal approach to many issues. After launching a literacy campaign and a malaria vaccine program alongside the construction of at least 600k social housing units every year, the government now focuses on the economy and more specifically the banking sector which has seen a massive boom ever since Vikas took over the empire and cemented his control through a military coup that purged opposition forces from the political system alongside fiercely attacking and disarming all resistance groups which in turn strangled almost all disstabilizing factors within Vascania. As such, the government announced the start of an official partnership between the Ministry of Finance and the 3 major banks of Vascania, those being the being the Vascania Bank also known as the Imperial Bank of Vascania, the Ustal Kalam Nadu Bank and the North Vascania Bank, those three will specifically help install more confidence from foreign investors and help restore the empire's prestige economically. In addition, martial law has been officially lifted over the Rapa Pile archipelago as part of the economic reforms by aiming to revive the tourist industry in the islands after the last cells of Rapa Pilese resistance were crushed by the Vascanian Imperial Army and their leaders were even arrested and executed on charges of terrorism and treason for being allegedly funded by foreign forces. Overall the economic and social situation in Vascania is begining it improve at a satisfying pace, only time will tell if Vikas is successful in his gambit.

Kamalata, Vascania. In a major diplomatic development for Vascania, the ministry of foreign affairs and the Vascanian community abroad has released a statement recognizing the MRN government as the sole legitimate governing authority over Rildhanor. This comes after talks were held between MRN and Vascanian representatives were held in Kamalata under the supervision of the emperor, the negotiations concluded in the signing of an military and economic treaty that consists of the Vascanian government offering economic aids and training for Rildanorian forces in exchange of the MRN allowing the Imperial Vascanian Navy to take over an existing naval base and repurpose it so it can host naval units from the IVN. Furthermore, prime minister Vikas held a speech in which he denounced the "terrorist and traitorous government in Meriath that seeks to destabilize Rildanor and deceive people by promising them a better a future even tho that island is nothing other than a shithole", he then added, "It is clear that Rildanor's sovereignty was violated by the pariah state of Egelian whose imperialist goals has put at risk the peaceful rule based world order and undermined the security of the southern hemisphere. So it is our duty to help defend Rildanor no matter the cost". As of now, reports from the MoD has confirmed that a small division of the IVN's 12th section will be deployed to the newly acquired base with the possibility of it being expanded and more boats stationing there as the empire restores its prestige through the ongoing social, economic, and planned military reforms.

Literacy reaches historical levels as it doubled in the last 5 years, poverty and malaria on the decline: a true social miracle

Kamalata, Vascania. Many expected the social reforms brought by Vikas to be an utter failure mainly because all the previous administrations before him failed to address the issue by either neglecting the social aspects of governing or focusing too much on specific ethnic and religious groups instead of the entire empire. However it seems that Vikas betrayed all expectations as the recent report from the Ministry of Education has revealed that literacy rate in the empire has doubled from a mere 32% in 5650 to a whopping 86,7% in the span of 19 years with the highest spikes in literacy happening after the MoE doubled down on cracking the caste system as the average literacy growth among the population from 5664 to 5669 was an eye boggling 50% especially among women, who historically were less literate than their male piers. The main reason for the success of the literacy campaign could be traced to Vikas ordering the army to help crackdown on the caste system and build schools across the empire with every mayorship being required to have a kindergarten, elementary, middle and high schools, this policy in particular was aimed at the rural folks of the empire that tend to overlook education in favor of early work experience. The moves after tense negotiations were held with the Triad government regarding the construction of shipyards across Vascania, the Vascanian delegation was mainly focused on ensuring the protection of Vascanian sovereignty while the Triads wanted unshackled profits, this resulted in both sides agreeing on an economic deal with the Vascanian government promising to establish an economic zone where the markets and private companies could go wild. As such, Lavati, a city just south of Kamalata and Vascania's 4th most populated city has been chosen as the test subject for the government mainly due to its strategic geographical position as a chokepoint to the transportation of goods to the east and west. During an interview, Prime Minister Vikas stated that the LSEZ will be granted high levels of autonomy with it being allowed to pass its own laws and policies which means that the city will be free from all economic and labour regulations that are planned by the government after they launch negotiations with the trade unions representing the workers of the empire. Furthermore, Vikas promised to supply the LSEZ with everything it needs which includes cheap oil, plenty of raw materials, and a giant workforce, this in turn made the stock market in Kamalata skyrocket in value as many investors across Terra see Lavati as the perfect place to let out their most ambitious plans without the fear of government intervention or regulation.
