Oberegg Universitat, October 29, 5629: Federal Minister for Sustainable Transports, Infrastructure and Communications Erica Kleinfelder was at Oberegg Univesitat meeting with University officials, community leaders and Hermann Auslander, the owner of Inland Bio to announce Inland Bio will be extending its bio bus service from Unterschloss to  Oberegg.  The route will take in the Oberegg downtown hotel and office sector, the nuclear power facility employee parking area and Universitat Oberegg where fuel making and refueling facilities will be located.
 
Central Bank will lend funds to Inland Bio for the expansion with funds appropriated to the Ministry of Sustainable Transports, Infrastructure and Communications.  The loan closing and documentation is being handled by Fendelhorst, Braunschweiger and Dorfmann.
 
Since 4962, Inland Bio has been producing bio buses for use in Dunburg initially for shuttle service from the airport to the downtown hotel area.[font=Helvetica, sans-serif] Inland Bio now also provides biobus services linking Dunburg to the down town hotel area of Unterscloss north of the river going through Dunburg in Oberveld and Neukirchstafdt south of that river also in Oberveld.  Service would reaches Karl Ulrich Universitat in Unterschloss.  [/font]
 
The bio buses are  powered by biomethane made from sewage and food waste. The production process used by Inland Bio to produce the renewable natural gas biomethane is anaerobic digestion of the organic material or biomethanation. Auslander processes biomethane from his fertilizer production plant which manufactures fertilizer under the trade name Dungemittel and adapts buses to run on biomethane.
 
The bio buses will produce 20-30% less carbon dioxide than comparable diesel engine buses and 80% fewer carbon oxides as well as be low in particulates entering the atmosphere.  A tank of the fuel will allow the bio bus to travel about 300 kilometers.

Arnulfsbrügge, Grozvic - The people of Arnulfsbrügge have started to meet their newest neighbors, V.I.P. neighbors, someone who usually doesn't linger around in a modest-sized city at the foot of the Grozvic mountains. They are the Goldbloom family, reigning in Sholemberg (now Amudim), and owners of an economical empire who, at their own words, were seeking stability outside their home nation, torn after a war and multiple secessions, and chose for this reason chose Dundorf, a promising candidate if you're searching for stability.
It's the branch of Jalen Goldbloom who will seek to relocate, Jalen is the brother of the current Monarch in Sholemberg, Elias III, and his branch of the family would not gain power any soon as they're far below in the succession line. But, they are also the primary owners of the Goldbloom's empire most valued asset: restaurant chain "Goldfoods", serving Yeudish food all over Terra and with a long history of being the main cultural symbol of the former Beiteynu across the globe. Goldfoods has been scaling down their Sholemberg business due to the instability, and the family was desperately searching for a new place where to restructure the business and settle; probably Dundorf will become part of Goldfoods' future investments.

Jalen Goldbloom and his family have bought the pictured estate for a price of 3.2 Million Marks and are expected to fully relocate there by the summer; the local government has assured them full privacy and the Mayor declined our opportunity to speak about, but the citizens are mostly positive about receiving new V.I.P. guests, saying that they will bring wealth to the town, while others see some problem with it, like the family not having any root or link to Arnulfsbrügge or them bringing too much chaous with the increased police and journalist presence.

Another related family, the Aristocrat-Goldblooms, owners of Aristocrat Energetical (an Amudimian Energy company), will move in the same state, but in an undisclosed town. Their business will remain in Amudim, they said, but members of the family will move to our country seeking "new opportunities".

Certainly, many people are curious: from the Goldfoods business, to the return in Dundorf, after many centuries, of any kind of nobility in a country that still is very cold to Monarchism or Nobility and thus doesn't recognize the validity of those titles.

OCCIDENTALIUM MONKS MEET TO REORGANIZE
 
Dunburg , May 17, 5630:  ODERVELD – LEUCHTFEUER caught up with Aulus Sempronius, Prior of the Schwabisch Gmund Chapter House of the Contemplative Monastic Order of Occidentalium, at the International Airport in Dunburg. The prior was returning from a convocation of the leadership of the Order at the Eliasit Institute for Higher Studies in Mavigny, Royaume Uni de Kanjor.

Asked what had happened at the meeting, Sempronius replied:
 

We reviewed the situation in each of the three nations where the Order has chapters.  In Badara while growth had remained small but steady since the founding of the Order there in 4900, it has now been in decline for some time. Growth came from a few novices joining from Badara itself each year and more coming from elsewhere to the home of the Order. With Badara pretty much in isolation, travel there is difficult to arrange and so new brothers from abroad have become quite rare and accordingly deaths exceed new arrivals.
 
With around six hundred brothers remaining, the Abbey located in the Tahir Highlands on Nashwa near streams that feed the Izdihar River is still a viable operation. The Abbot oversees several Chapter Houses. First Master Publius Vipsanius will remain at the Abbey but it was agreed future First Masters would not necessarily do so if one should choose otherwise.
 
Throughout the Order finances are still no problem because of good stewardship and acute investments for seven hundred years.
 
In Royaume Uni de Kanjor, the Order is an integral part of the Aurorian Patriarchal Church  (APC) community and the obvious choice for those drawn to a monastic vocation. The total number of those associated with the Order is a little under 2500. There are currently 15  Chapter Houses overseen by one abbot, the Abbot of Vitry le Francois.  It was agreed to appoint a second Abbot, to be the Abbot of Trois Fontaines. 
 
In Bundesrepublik Dundorf, we have our Chapter House in Schwabisch Gmund and sub priories in Degerloch, Sonnenburg, Pforazheim, , Ecterdingen, Boeblingen, Calw and Kornwestheim with about 1350 brothers and novices. Growth has been steady and looks promising in future.  The Bundesrepublik has long been a very wealthy nation, and there are those who really want to withdraw since they can and try and learn how one can have a loving spirit, the 700 year old quest of our Order.
 
Most of the subpriories will be converted to priories and we will have an Abbey at Scwabisch Gmund. The First Master will be appointing a Vicar General for Royaume Uni de Kanjor and Bundesrepublik Dundorf who will have authority from the first Master to appoint the Abbots thereof. And yes, I am under consideration for Abbot at Schwabisch Gmund.
 
The Order wants us to undertake three projects.  First, subsidize several  more APC secondary schools. Second, start an associated women’s branch of the 0rder, likely Mendicant Sisters of Occidentalium which likely will be for staffing schools.  Third look into feasibility of opening a bank with investment profits.  All three seem doable.
 
The Archbishop of Atyr, Reynard Bourdeselles, who officially confirms election of our First Master was in attendance and addressed the Convocatiion.

NEW DIVISION WILL BE MOUNTAIN TROOPS
 
Defence Ministry, April 17, 5631: ODERVELD – LEUCHTFEUER sources in the Defence Ministry  indicate Defense Minister Wolfgang Prawius has approved the Oberekommando Heer (OKH) recommendation endorsed by Oberkommando Bundeswehr (OKB) to form a tenth division which will be largely composed of troops trained as mountain troops.
 
This 10th Mountain Division (or Gebirgsjager Division) will have as divisional assets 2 artillery battalions with towed howitzers and mortars and truck mounted multiple rocket launcher systems as well as drones and counter battery radar.  It is expected there will be 3 brigades of gebirgsjagers and possibly some paratrooper commandos.
 
The 10th Gebirgsjager Division will be stationed in Julstoch Bundeslander for deployment in the mountainous region.  The headquarters will feature a pack animal training and operational center.
 
ODERVELD – LEUCHTFEUER  sources also say the next two areas of focus for OKB will be consideration of standardizing armoured personnel carriers for panzer grenadier battalions and reconnaissance companies and  a review of our missile defense systems.

DRF’S HAEFSTAENGL ON DRF FUTURE
 
Bundestag, October 16, 5631: Asked by ODERVELD – LEUCHTFEUER if the DRF would enter the government this time, Dunforfusche Rote Front Secretary, Otto “Putzi” Haefstaengl, replied:
 

Highly unlikely.  It is true that there are enough votes to have a center – left government of the Social Democrats, the Greens and our Red Front, but Chancellor Leesburg seems still very much inclined to stick with the centrist government of DSDP and NDZP.
 
How could this change? We think it a waste of time to further adapt our message in the hope the Chancellor will change her view. What we are doing and the Greens are more successfully doing is increasing our vote totals so that between them the DSDP and NDZP do not have a majority.
 
Then we can see a center left government which is what our nation really wants.

Dunburg - Last September our country had an election and the Dundorfian people punished the two main parties, who have governed for the past eight years in a Grosse Koalition, and rewarded instead smaller parties left and right, one party was rewarded more than the others though, and it is the Green Party for the Planet. Hans Schumacher, GPP's Leader, explained that the party was looking to peel off support the DSDP and some moderate parts of the NDZP by presenting the party as an 'alternative' that can be trusted in a Government, profiting from what pundits and academics define as incumbency fatigue for both the Social-democrats and the Hosian-democrats. Voters liked that pitch, and the Greens were the best improving party in the Bundestag, while parties such as TLD and DRF saw more modest gains.

Chancellor Leesdorf held extensive talks with every party in the Bundestag (except the Thaller Party) to find a new coalition, and was especially interested in including the Greens in the new Cabinet, a strategic move to stop them from "stealing" the DSDP's votes, but also to address the request for change in respect to the DSDP-NDZP coalition (which would still have had a majority despite the losses). After months, Leesdorf has reached an agreement with the Liberals and the Greens, and the three 'traffic-light' parties have been sworn in into Government today. TLD, still identifying as a center-right party has refused to consider a permanent coalition and called this one a 'temporary solution', while the Greens seem more open to the idea of structural work with the DSDP. In the new opposion field, the NDZP will try to profit the crisis that is experiencing the Thaller Party, hoping to get their votes and potentially become the first party, also by virtue of being the main opposition. And it is said that the Hosian-Democrats will try to work more closely with the Julstoch Social Union, a regional-conservative party, in order to cement a center-right alternative coalition. DRF's leader was one of the first to comment, and in this term, will likely challenge the Greens and the DSDP for working with a centre-right party.

DEFENCE CONSIDERING PERSONNEL CARRIER OPTIONS
 
Defence Ministry, January 16, 5633: After incoming  Team Liberaldemokraten (TLD) Defence Minister Maximillian von Kluge met with the Chief of Staff of Oberkommando Bundeswehr (OKB) and their budget aides concerning adjustment priorities, ODERVELD – LEUCHTFEUER asked the Defence Minister what immediate changes were anticipated, and von Kluge replied:
 

Our panzer grenadier battalions and reconnaissance companies are employing quite a wide variety of armored personnel carriers and infantry fighting vehicles from various sources, most notably Pfeilspitze, Fuchstal Elektrisch, and Bundeskonstruction as well as some from Artanian Defense Group.
 
Most motorized infantry battalions have Dinkelacher Bruder trucks for transport which greatly simplifies repair, maintenance and for that matter replacement.  We are looking into standardizing panzer grenadier battalions and reconnaissance companies in this regard for that reason as well. OKB’s Ableitung II will be working with Oberkommando Heer on a recommendation which we expect fairly soon this year.
 
Since this is not a priority that will cost us such beyond staff time, OKB’s Ableitung II personnel will be initiating a study of our missile defense system in conjunction with Okerkommando Luftwaffe (OKL).

 
Asked by ODERVELD – LEUCHTFEUER if the governing coalition was likely to last awhile, the Defence Minister replied:
 

Believe it will last at least for this election cycle. International trade agreements have the votes with or without the entire coalition..  The most contentious domestic issues for TLD are nationalizing and over regulation. Such measures could pass without our votes, and as long as we can vote as we prefer, we will not be withdrawing should they pass. Our requirement to enter was no ban on religion and that is holding.
 
If similar distribution occurs after next election, TLD is not averse to a continuation.

Bundestag, Dunburg - A short while ago, Federal President Friedrich Alvensleben has pronounced the presidential oath in front of the Bundestag, reunited for the occasion with regional delegates, after having been elected yesterday in the highest position available in our country. Mr. Alvensleben was nominated by the parliamentary group of the TLD, and was seen as a dead candidacy from the start. But a succession of events, such as the DSDP failing to reach an agreement with the Greens for a joint presidential nomination, and the NDZP unexpected withdrawal of their nominee led to this moment, the first time the liberal-democrats ever holds a Dundorfian High Office.
Chancellor Leesdorf congratulated the new President and will be joining him later today at Karlottenberg Schloss for an institutional dinner together with the five states' Ministers-President and the members of the Federal Cabinet; while Former President Rudolph Kaltenbrunner, after welcoming his successor and hosting a formal ceremony of transition of power, has returned to his countryside residence in the east of Oderveld, near Neukirchstadt, and has not yet stated if he wishes to continue or not his political carreer.

DEFENCE SELECTS ARMORED VEHICLES FOR RECON COMPANIES

Defence Ministry, November 16, 5635: ODERVELD – LEUCHTFEUER has learned from its Defence Ministry sources that  Oberkommando Bundeswehr (OKB)’s Ableitung II and Oberkommando Heer (OKH) have selected vehicles for use by the reconnaissance companies which are divisional assets of the ten Heer divisions.
 
The Laufender Bar is produced by Fuchstal Elektrisch and is a tracked vehicle white the Barenjunges is a lighter wheeled vehicle produced by Bundeskonstruction, one of the Bundesrepublik’s state owned defense industries. 
 
The plan is for OKB’s Ableitung II to replace armored vehicles in reconnaissance companies as the need arises with either Barenjunges or Laufender Bar vehicles.  In our two panzer divisions, most will be Laufender Bars with a few Barenjunges where lighter faster vehicles are appropriate.  In the eight motorized infantry and mountain divisions, most replacement vehicles in the reconnaissance companies of divisional assets will be Barenjunges but a few will be Laufender Bar for tactical flexibility.
 
ODERVELD – LEUCHTFEUER has confirmed that the OKB Chief of Staff endorsed the Ableitung II – OKH recommendation and Defence Minister Maximillian von Kluge has approved it. 
 
The Laufender Bar has a mass of 31.4 tons, a height of 3.1 meters for the turret roof, a length of 7.4 meters and a width of 3.7 meters.  It has a crew of 3 and can carry up to six passengers.  There is one piece crew cabin so in medical emergencies the gunner or driver can be replaced with another crew member.  It is designed so additional armor may be added as a module when desired for an operation.  It is powered by an 11.1 litre internal combustion engine with a great power to weight ratio  It has a maximum speed on road of 70 kilometers per hour and maximum range of 600 kilometers on road.
 
The Laufender Bar has hydrostruts hydropneumatically operated by water and gas and 5 wheels per side propelling tracks.  Its armor is modular and composite. Its main armament is a 30 mm autocannon while its secondary armament is a 5.56 mm light machine gun.
 
The Barenjunges has a combat weight of 23,000 kilograms, a length of 6.83 meters, a width of 3.04 meters and a height of 2.54 meters.  It has a crew of 2 and can carry 10 additional personnel. It is powered by a V6 turbocharged water cooled four stroke diesel engine. It is fully automatic with 6 forward speeds and one reverse gear coupled to a one speed transfer case for changing number of axles engaged for its six wheels which have coil springs and shock absorbers.
 
The Barenjunges is protected by steel armor and has a maximum speed of 105 kilometers per hour or 10 kilometers per hour in water. Its range is 800 kilometers. Its main armament is a 7.62 mm machine gun and its secondary armament consists of grenade launchers.
 
OKH and Ableitung II will shortly be recommending armored vehicles for the panzer grenadier battalions.
