Where is the Union for the Prosperity and Peace of Nadiya at today after the scandal? Is there hope for them?
------------------------------------
June 18th, 5650
------------------------------------
The Union for the Prosperity and Peace of Nadiya, informally and commonly known as the Love Party used to be the beating heart of liberalism in Nadiya. Now? Now it's known for simply being scandal riddled and sellouts. As Nadiya is formally unified into the Nadiyan Confederation, elections are likely to occur soon, and the Love Party will have to fix itself to enter the legislature. But where is it today? Put bluntly, it is in a sinking boat. Voters want something new from the party after it's last fiasco. But where can it even go? It can't go to the left, lest it steps on the feet of other parties, and it can't go right without being a repeat of the usual. Combined with the fact that the establishment is digging it's heels in and refusing to embrace reform, and the future is bleak for Nadiyan Liberalism.

So, that leaves the Union for the Prosperity and Peace of Nadiya in an awful position across the Confederation, with no solid stronghold in any of the sister republics. Whether it be in Vrosnok, Radin or Kozaki, the Love Party is simply unpopular. It offers nothing new to voters. So it isn't a shock that morale is low for what few voters remain. Unless incumbency fatigue kicks in, the Love Party is unlikely to be important in elections for a long time. If ever. However, it doesn't mean all is lost. There is still some hope for the party. Should it be able to provide a liberal vision that isn't too far left, nor too far right, then it can capitalize on voter fatigue and try to take advantage of a cluttered ideology spectrum on the left. It would require an extremely charismatic campaign however to bring voters onboard with liberalism, especially after the scandal. While there are a few reformists within the party, as long as the establishment is adamant on not changing, those reformists will have a hard time. But not an impossible time.

Whatever the case, the Union for the Prosperity and Peace of Nadiya will have it's work cut out for it. Lest it implodes and it's constituent parties break off to form another Nadiyan Party. But seeing as to how all parties are loyal to the Love Party for now, there is hope. But they'll need a lot more than just hope if they want to ever want to win big.

The NCEFT officially kickstarts the electoral season as they open registrations for the upcoming general elections, campaign posters already covering the cities: time for the test

Zoetergraaf, Brakav. Today the long awaited first Confederal elections were officially launched, more specifically the 5651 electoral season, as the Nadiyan Commission for Electoral Fairness and Transparency has released a statement stating the start of the political campaigns across Nadiya as part of the caretaker government's last policies to ensure the smooth transition of power and installation of a new administration into place. Caretaker president Dovhan was seen holding a rally at Rodashyam, shortly after the announcement of the NCEFT, in which he also announced that the confederation's electoral website was officially opened with all registrations either being done online or physically by going to local electoral agencies. Immediately after both declarations, the website was overwhelmed by submissions of both individuals candidacies and party registrations with the NEC parties transforming into Confederal ones while local parties have to manage new electoral laws if they want to participate in the upcoming general elections. Furthermore, new campaign reforms were recently enforced which has allowed parties to start immediately putting up posters, rallies are being planned and campaigns are being set up such as the Love Party who is desperately trying to rebrand itself from its reputation of being the party of kleptocrats and ultra liberals, but only time will tell if the Nadiyan Confederation will be able to face the challenge of the ballots without breaking apart.

Continuing IT investments; Platonava shockingly works with AVaK.
---------------------
June 8th, 5651
---------------------
The development of the IT sector has been time consuming, but it's been paying dividends. Most Vrosnoki are starting to actually talk. Not just survive. Actual jobs are starting to become possible besides oil work. While it isn't alot, it's a good start. As such, the state will continue IT developments as the work isn't done yet. The next step is creating the Volosgrad National University, with a strong support for IT, digital and software courses. Software engineering, data science, server maintenance, the VNU will look to not only provide a new outlet for college education, but also provide a flow of students for the IT sector. The VNU will be open to all students within the Confederation, and open to Kerisian students (however, there is not yet any talks within the government according to our sources regarding student exchanges outside of Nadiya). VNU will be operated directly by the state, instead of being a private university, and as such, VNU has pledged to keep tuition rates low and interest rates low (whilst also joking to keep interest in the university high).

To continue developing the IT sector and ensure it fully thrives, a portion of state funds (which aren't being used to pay off loans) will be directed towards a Startup Incubator Network. The network will focus on logistics, rural Internet, and cold weather infrastructure technology. These funds will provide Vrosnoki with a public innovation fund to ensure the middle class doesn't dominate Vrosnok, but ensure the working class and non college educated Vrosnoki can thrive too. This fund will provide grants for Vrosnoki. Alongside this, the Vrosnoki Public Cloud. The megacorps are generous and helpful, but a healthy economy requires diversity. Both in the industries and consumer choice. The VPC will allow small firms to survive, thrive and compete fairly with the megacorps.

The most shocking thing however, has been the Platonava Administration negotiating, and working with AVaK (Vrosnoki Association for Krivian Revival). Previously, the government simply ignored AVaK, but this shocking turn has shown that Platonava is serious about reforms. So what does this mean? Working with AVaK for a cultural Krivian revival. Whether it be language apps for reviving the Krivian language (even if it is recognized as an official language within the Nadiyan Confederation), create digital keyboards, and create cultural archives. By working with AVaK, she has legitimized them and shown the public that maybe, just maybe, things can change. While apathy is still there, a disable portion of Vrosnoki are starting to become more engaged. Some are pushing for electoral reforms, others are pushing for institutional reforms to ensure Vrosnok can catch up with the rest of the Confederation. While so far, the House of Businesses remains in full control, and remains "high" approval ratings (it's hard to say genuinely due to apathy in polling), Platonava did claim she was a reformist. Whether she'll work with this new movement to embrace reforms, even if it means electoral reform, is yet to be seen. But working with AVaK has left some optimistic for once.

Platonava announces a roadmap for political reforms; A genuine reformist from the House of Businesses?
------------------------
September 28th, 5651
------------------------
As campaign season begins for the Nadiyan Elections, Vrosnok finds itself in a unique spot. The people are in a democracy. After all, they are voting for Nadiyan parties sometime soon, and they did vote for the House of Businesses. But apathy always made it hard to say Vrosnok is a democracy. When the winner is always the same, you can't blame people for not caring. So earlier this morning, when Platonava announced her intent to reform political institutions, and reform the electoral system, interest shot up fast. It wasn't the first time reformists announced new plans, sure, but working with AVaK? That sold the deal. So with interest, genuine interest there, even if apathy remains, what exactly is Platonava planning?

First, she's laid out a roadmap. Within the week, the Electoral Reform Council will be created to determine the future of the electoral system. By next Spring to Summer, the electoral system will be molded away from the technocratic status quo into a multi party direction, establish the Electoral Commission of Vrosnok, define how political parties can form, funding for them, and begin an effort to educate the public on civic discourse. Apathy can and will kill any genuine democracy so the fact that Platonava is accounting for that is speaking volumes. Ideally, by 5653, elections will occur, and other parties will have a genuine chance to compete.

Given this is just the roadmap, there is much work ahead but this is certainly bound to be exciting. AVaK has been quite enthusiastic with the reforms, claiming that democracy can continue facilitating a revival of the Krivian culture. There is much work to be done before we see new parties emerge, but perhaps the future is looking as bright as the Auroras in Snihovsk for once.

What this means for the House of Businesses is yet to be seen as depending on what the ERC determines, the House of Businesses may outright dissolve or reform into a proper political party. While it's hard to say what's happening internally due to party secrecy, we can only guess. It could be joy and euphoria, or the equivalent of a civil war. We can only guess. But what we can confidently say is, Platonava is a woman of her word. She claimed to be a reformist, and a reformist she is. While apathy will always remain, perhaps her being a genuine reformist will help bring the apathy down just enough for the next elections to thrive. For now, we can only await and hope for the best results of this roadmap.

Tsarina Maria abdicates the throne and appoints Anastasia as her successor, Anastasia called to campaign in the upcoming elections to become Tsarina: a leap toward Kerisian unity

Zoetergraaf, Brakav. From the halls of the Floral Palace in Zoetergraaf, the most shocking news emerged today as the current incumbent Tsarina, Maria the First, has announced her abdication from the throne in favor of her niece Anastasia Alexanderova due to the Tsarina being in a married lesbian relationship with her wife Elizabeth and the fact that she has no children, specifically daughters, has meant that unless Maria directly chose her successor it would prevent a potential succession crisis from occurring as Chaewon Beak and her daughters are also in the scession line. As a result of the abdication, the Nadiyan throne has sent an official emergency letter urging princess Anastasia to come home alongside her husband and start a political campaign to get elected into the NGA in order to be officially recognized as a legitimate heir to Maria, this means that Anastasia and her husband, the crown prince of Egelion, will have to debate, convince, and persuade voters of being good politicians and thus worthy of being elected into the legislature. The 2 royals are expected to become members of the Princesses and Tsarina Association of Nadiya, which as seen its position in the polls collapse due to them carrying out their biggest promises and not bringing in any new ideas or goals other than representing the royals. Finally when Maria was asked to mention the reason why she abdicated, she simply replied with "I don't want to be an old hag who dies on a throne, instead I would rather want to see my successors grow and become successful, but also I especially don't want my transition of titles to be accompanied with mourning unlike the other monarchies who would want to rule until death itself is begging them to let go."

Electoral Reform Council proposes electoral reforms; Platonava plays ball and accepts.
--------------------
March 28th, 5652
--------------------
As the Confederation modernizes and reaches for new heights, Vrosnok has to play catch up. While the economy is stabilizing, and there are talks about being able to pay off loans, Vrosnok is still in dire need of reform. Especially politically. Fortunately, Platonava is a reformist, and has promised to work with liberals (in the Vrosnoki sense, not the global sense) in establishing a multi party healthy democracy and embrace reforms. As such, the Electoral Reform Council, recently formed has proposed it's various electoral reforms, and been quickly approved.

So let's dive into the reforms. First things first, moving on from the House System. While it's worked wonders for stability, its largely lead to political stagnation, one issue party's, such as the House of Businesses, to dominate, and technocratic governing. As such, the ERC has proposed a proportional representative, open list, ranked choice electoral system, looking to encourage representation, a healthy democracy, civic engagement, and legitimacy. Voters will rank candidates from any party, and seats will be allocated proportionally by party vote, however individual candidates (such as independents) win seats based on their personal rank totals. The goal is to ensure party's accountability, and give independents a shot in elections. The Head of Government, the President of Vrosnok, will be elected via this system alongside members of the Vrosnoki Assembly. Each district in Vrosnok will send 3 at minimum, and 7 at maximum, representatives depending on their population.

For the formation of political parties, it'll be lax, but not laissez-faire. For registration, at minimum, a party will require about one thousand individuals registered for it. No registration fees will be included either. The electoral threshold for funding by the state will be 2.5%, whilst the threshold to enter the Assembly will be 3%.

As stated before, apathy can kill any democracy and Vrosnok is no stranger to apathy. As such, the ERC has proposed a civic campaign, looking to see schools teach civics, a fully funded civic knowledge campaign, and know your vote days. As expected, Platonava accepted and embraced the proposals. Alongside fighting apathy, the best way to do so is convenience. If it's hard and you hardly care, you'll hardly try. If it's easy, why not? As such, in person and digital voting will be allowed. For rural areas, tech literacy programs will begin to ensure they are ready for the election.

The next proposals have been... Controversial to say the least. As controversial as Vrosnok can get. Reformists within the ERC have proposed the forcible dissolution of the House of Businesses, and forcing it to become a proper party. The second is the establishment of the Канстытуцыйны кантрольны трыбунал (Constitutional Oversight Tribunal), responsible for handling the funding of party's, and electoral legality. While this one has been less controversial, reformists and conservatives have clashed over whether the HoB should be dissolved and forced to organize as a proper party or not. Ultimately the decision fell to Platonava, and in a rather surprising move, agreed to it.

The final proposal has simply been to allow candidates of any formed parties to align with Nadiyan parties. It was easily and quickly accepted.

As such, come the next elections, which is next year, Vrosnoki will have new choices to vote for, and will have many possibilities to express themselves. While new parties are yet to organize, we can expect that to change soon.

Establishment of the Haivan Indegnous Republic in northern Kozaki and its elevation as an autonomous region, Angirravut designated as its capital: an indegnous tale

Zarvosopol, Kozaki. Today the indegnous population of Nadiya woke up with the news of the formation of a new state specifically made just for them, named the Haivan Indegnous Republic, it was a clause agreed upon during the constitution convention in which all parties agreed that the indegnous people deserve their own nation in which they can thrive and prosper in. As such, Northern Kozaki, a region known for it's high concentration of indegnous peoples has been designated to host Haivan and its government, but the republic isn't a Confederal nation yet as per the agreement during the constitutional convention, it will at first be an autonomous region within Kozaki then after years of stabilization and political viability, the region will be upgraded to the grade of a Confederal nation. In addition, the Nadiyan constitution grants them 100 seats in the Chamber of Nations as part of the effort to recognize, empower, and spread the indegnous population of Nadiya by making it politically relevant to the confederation and thus an unavoidable topic for any future governments. Finally, Angirravut was designated as the capital of the republic and the Nadiyan Commission for Political Harmony and Stability will oversee the establishment of the entity and its successful implementation as a home for the indegnous people of Nadiya.

Party for the Vrosnoki Renaissance prevails in local elections; VdAV looks to support a Krivian cultural revival, strengthen confederal ties and continue developing the economy.
--------------------
June 3rd, 5653
--------------------
Election season has come again, but this one is special. Not only is it election season for the Confederation, an exciting prospect as even this gets through Vrosnoki Apathy because of confederal politics, but also the first elections without the influence of the House of Businesses being absolute. For starters, the Confederal Election is always exciting. This is the first one since Nadiya unified. An exciting time. While we can't exactly comment as we are not a Nadiyan Centric news network, the Central Government in Zarvosopol will be handling all matters related to the elections there. But what we can comment on is Vrosnoki elections. Several parties have looked to make a bid, of course aligning with confederal parties. So, let's go over the parties.

Starting off with the most notable, the Party for the Vrosnoki Renaissance (Вечарынка для Адраджэння Вроснокі), or VdAV. Campaigning on a nationalist manifesto, you'd expect it to be political poison. That would be true, if it were enthonationalism or secessionism. But VdAV didn't campaign on that. They campaigned on civic nationalism, cultural rediscovery, progressive governance, strengthening confederal ties, and bulking up the Krivian identity in Vrosnok. Their motto perfectly captures it, "Rediscover Vrosnok, Rebuild our future". Being led by Krivian poet, Vitala Kupala, VdAV has looked to make their campaign one of hope, rediscovery, and unity. And such a message for them the majority of votes needed to be elected. While not enough for a majority in the Assembly, they are certainly still a victor. And by coalitioning with the Democratic Socialist People's Party (Дэмакратычная сацыялістычная народная партыя), they've secured the seats for a progressive coalition. In terms of confederal politics, VdAV is aligned quite closely with the Social Revolutionary Party of Nadiya.

Onto the next party, the DSNP. As expected, they campaigned on a left wing platform, looking to promote universal welfare expansions, working with Zarvosopol for a confederation wise welfare expansion program, post loan recovery, an expansion of labour rights and justice in the IT sector. Being led by prominent trade unionist, Branislava Lukašuk, the DSNP were able to secure a solid group of seats, and have managed to form a coalition with VdAV. In terms of the confederation, they are strongly aligned with the left of the Social Revolutionary Party of Nadiya. Running on a strong platform for the working class, it seems socialism can thrive, even up in the cold.

Onto the next party, the most "right wing" party in Vrosnok, the Progressive People's Alliance (Прагрэсіўны народны альянс). Looking to promote a moderate approach to economics, they've defined themselves by promoting a focus on the loans, working with cultural revival groups, and promoting Nadiyan values. Being led by Radaslava Tumas, the PNA was able to do fairly decently, being more popular in the North as an alternative to the DSNP. Being aligned with the confederal party, the Matriarchal Hosian Democratic Party, the PNA has strongly clung to Hosian Democratic ideals.

Finally, the last party. The successor to the HoB. The Civic Liberal Union (Грамадзянска-ліберальны саюз). Being led by Ullyana Maračkina, the HLS looked to campaign on economic prudence, expanding the economy, stabilizing the IT sector more to keep stable growth, calm centrism, and strengthening confederal institutions in Vrosnok. As expected, they've aligned themselves with the confederal party, the Party for Peace and Prosperity of Nadiya, informally known as the Love Party. Because of their association with the Love Party, they ran a calm, centrist platform. Uninspiring and not exciting, but stability is always craved.

With the local elections over, Platonava has chosen to retire instead of continuing politics, looking to simply be an advisor for the new Kupala government. While turnout isn't as high as Confederal turn out, it's an upgrade compared to normal local elections. In any case, this is a worthy celebration for Vrosnok. As the DSNP-VdAV Coalition looks to govern Vrosnok, and begin a cultural revival within the Confederation and strengthen ties to the confederation, we can expect exciting times ahead. Especially once Zarvosopol announces the conclusion of elections in the rest of Nadiya.

Reviving the Vrosnoki Culture; Bringing about the seeds for a Vrosnoki Renaissance.
------------------------
December 30th, 5653
------------------------
The VdAV-DSNP Coalition was elected on two terms. Bringing economic equality and a cultural revival. Cultural revival remains a powerful tool for any group of people. For Vrosnok, this has been met with many questions. Who are we after all? Nadiyan? Krivian? Something else entirely? VdAV has been particularly passionate about reviving the Krivian culture, and has wasted no time in bringing about measures to revive the Krivian culture.

As such, for starters, the basic pillars. Education is a pillar of civilization. Without it, any nation is lost. Any culture is lost. While Krivian is the official language of Vrosnok, many are left wondering where it comes from. A language without a home is not a good thing. As such, the Krivian Cultural Fund will be created. It will focus on local artists, musicians, dancers, and providing them with support to revive the bread and meat of a culture. Furthermore, support for other contemporary creators such as cinema, literature arts, and visual art. These measures are basic, yes, but the starting steps to a cultural revival for small when such a task is colossal.

To continue providing support, the Vrosnoki Public Broadcasting Channel will be created, with a special focus on Krivian documentaries, stories turnt into animation, and interviews with poets and traditional leaders. But what else is accessible en masse? Books! Books books books. As such, the state will fund reprintings for poets and authors. Alongside this, literature contests to create new forms of literature. Fun for the people and helps in reviving the culture.

But more can and will be done. As such, reviving the culture required looking to traditions. Festivals like the summer solstice, veneration of ancestors, and celebrating the end of winter. Alongside this, supporting traditional clothing. Clothing after all, carries identity. But it also means not forgetting the past. Museums will need to be well funded and supported. As such, the Volosgrad National Archive and History Museum will be created, and focused on developing the history of Krivian culture and helping in rediscovery efforts.

There is always more to be done, but the state cannot spend itself into oblivion. For now, these efforts will suffice in laying the seeds for a Vrosnoki Renaissance. For now, we can only hope that this helps in countering apathy for good.

The first Confederal elections finally held in Nadiya after nearly 2 year of campaigning, extraordinarily turnout of 86% as election results are expected to take months to be released: the great electoral test

Backdated: 13th of March 5663.
Zarvosopol, Kozaki. Today more than 68 million citizens headed to the polls to participate in Terra's biggest and most intricate political exercise, that being the first Confederal elections. The election consists mainly of 2 presidential elections with 1 specifically reserved to the Haivan Indegnous Republic while the second in a national one, those two elections will determine 2 out of the 7 persons that will sit in the presidential council. In addition to those, the election of the 3 chambers of parliament are held at the same time because during the Constitutional Convention it was agreed upon that the first elections will be held at the same time but after it the chambers will follow a 5-6-7 year cycle which helps keep the legislature stable and not cluster the electoral calendar. Furthermore, the elections marked the longest electoral period in the history of Nadiya as political parties and coalitions started campaigning the moment interim president Dovhan announced the upcoming elections, but those 2 years of campaigning haven't been in vain as a historic turnout of 86,52% was registered nationally, and millions of ballots were cast for the legislature and even more for the presidential candidates. However the Nadiyan Commission for Electoral Fairness and Transparency declared that the results will take weeks or even months to be finalized, but they will make sure at least 70% of the ballots are processed in time so accurate predictions about the elections can be done.
