Hyon Jung elected into the presidential council as the Pastels win back the NGA while the CoN and CoJ are dominated by the lovers and Matriarchists: what a strange first election
Backdated: 20th of April 5663
Zoetergraaf, Brakav. It is a historic day for Nadiya as the renowned Nadiyan newspaper Vemste! has come forward with their projections concerning the elections happening in Nadiya. Earlier today they declared the victory of Technocratic candidate Hyon Jung over his Pastel opponent Yelena Quamaniq with him securing a narrow vote share of 50,01% in the second round. Both candidates ran on promises of stabilizing the confederation and helping it administer itself during the first years of its formation alongside expanding the welfare system and starting massive economic plans to improve the standards of living in Nadiya. However the two front runners put a high focus on the Solmograd question due to the village and more specifically the Solmograd Viral Zone still existing even tho the bloody tears virus was declared functionally eradicate in 5626 and the BT-72 program was dismantled under the Dovhan administration yet the zone is still under martial law with the Lesnovian constitution being suspended in it, so to tackle the issue, they both stated their aim to eventually dismantle the zone and rehabilitate the infected residents within it but Hyon Jung's plan mainly focused on restoring civil order in the zone and putting it under the control of a board of experts who will examine, test, and verify on a semi yearly basis the state of the zone and then will dismantle it once they consider the SVZ as safe enough. In addition, Vemste's editorial team also projected a decisive victory for the Pastel coalition with them projecting a 31% vote share for the alliance and thus 300 seats in the NGA while the rulling People's Pact for Nadiya, composed of the SRs and communists, was projected to only win 20% of the votes, a far cry from their 40% vote share in the 5655 NGA elections before the formation of the confederation. However, the Pastels didn't manage to secure a lot of seats in the Chamber of Nations and the Chamber of Justice as the former is projected to be dominated by the Love party and the latter by the Hosian Matriarchal Democratic party. The reason for that stems from the transferable ranked choice system in those chambers which allowed those two parties to strategically mobilize their voter base and sway voters using their programs that are different from the dominant two coalitions with the matriarchists convincing that a stricter and more matriarchist judiciary is the way for the confederation while the lovers convinced that a liberal senate is more welcome than one dominated by the Nadiyan left. Not only that but what shocked the most was the collapse in vote share for the PTAN who saw their seats go from 170 pre dissolution to a mere 40 just enough for the future Tsarina, princess Anastasia to secure a seat alongside the traditionally politically active members of the family such as former Tsarina Maria and princess Olga who both viciously debated against their opponents to defend their vision of a politically relevant royal family.
Finally with 74% of the votes counted in, Vmeste with the approval of the NCEFT released the following maps:
Map of the General Assembly elections per Vmeste projections
Map of the results for the Chamber of Nations
Map of the results for the Chamber of Justice

Reviving the Krivian Language; Going beyond simply de jure.
---------------------
September 9th, 5654
---------------------
Reviving a culture is no easy feat. Sure, having a cosmopolitan confederation helps out alot, and it certainly makes it easier. But it's still hard work. While the VdAV-DSNP Coalition is looking to revive the Krivian culture from it's dormant and neglected state, there is considerable breathing room. Whether it be the confederation accommodating and supporting cultural revival efforts, or basic groundwork such as supporting the bread and meat of culture, it's enough breathing room to say progress is possible. Slow as it may be. However, it all comes down to language and words. Sure, Krivian is the official language of Vrosnok, and is a recognized language in the Confederation, but does it really matter when not many within Vrosnok itself can speak the language? Exactly. And that's where the VdAV-DSNP Coalition looks to make changes.
For starters, Krivian language classes will be mandatory in primary education. For those who already graduated, voluntary language classes. Furthermore, an expansion on language apps to further promote Krivian learning. Grammer tools, text to speech, etc etc. Alongside this, all state media must include subtitles for Krivian. Sure, not much will be able to understand it at the moment, but the option is there. Practice makes perfect after all. To encourage learning of Krivian, the state will offer scholarships to students who study Krivian linguistics and such.
But it takes more than teaching a new generation. For the current one, all official documents will also be printed in Krivian. To further encourage the spread of the Krivian language, literature. While it's being revived, it can always use a push. As such, classics from around the world, but especially from the Nadiyan region will be encouraged to be translated into Krivian. This is to be expected when a poet is president after all. As much as we'd all like to wish this effort would be successful by tomorrow, we unfortunately cannot control reality. What we can do, however, is continue developing, fostering and caring for the revival of Krivian. Someday in the future, it'll be the go to language for Vrosnok. But until that day comes, we will have to put in the work.

Mariya Ulva elected representative of Haivan in the council while the FJIP maintains its dominance over Haivan, government negotiations begin between the Pastels and lovers: a path to stability
Backdated: June 5663
Zoetergraaf, Brakav. It wasn't a suprise when the results came from Haivan declaring the victory of the Freedom and Justice Indegnous Party's candidate for the council, but what suprised the most is the fact that the FJIP managed to secure more than 78% of the votes in Haivan with all of their seats in the CoN going to the FJIP and almost all of their seats to the NGA too. Not only that but their candidate, Mariya Ulva won with a landslide of 76% of the votes in the first round which marked the biggest victory in Nadiya for any political party. Yet the main reason for her success was the extensive campaigning she did during the electoral season by promising to help develop Haivan and establish the Indegnous Library of Wisdom as part of a program to revive the indegnous language and reinforce its use in not only Haivan but the whole of Nadiya in addition to announcing her plans to expand the agricultural and mining industry in Haivan while respecting ancestral native land in the hopes of walking hand in hand with the constitutionally mandated Socialized economy. In other news, the leaders of the Pastel coalition and love party met in Zarvosopol to begin government negotiations, both agreed that a gridlock this early into the confederation's life would only cause chaos and uncertainty but also because even tho the lovers only had 99 seats in the NGA, their dominant presence in the CoN would play a crucial role in passing legislation through the 2 chambers, the main point of uncertainty comes from the CoJ that's hung between 9 parties with a strong presence for both the PPN and HMDP that both stated their openness for cooperation in exchange of concessions.

Snezana Konstantinovna appointed Chief Executive after nearly 2 years of government negotiations, major economic and societal plans announced to boost the nation: getting our money up not our funny up?
Petrograd, Kozaki. It has been nearly 2 full years since the announcement of the electoral results yet Nadiya was still ruled by a technocratic caretaker government for that entire period, but it seems that the tides have finally changed as the NGA prepared itself to vote for the composition of the new government. The leaders of the Pastels, Lovers, and even the FJIP gathered in Zarvosopol to outline the ironed out Alliance deal between the 3 entities, firstly the Love party and Pastels will enter a formal coalition with the love party's demand to join back the Pastels refused, secondly a supply and confidence agreement was made with the FJIP in exchange for major concessions and promises such as allocating parts of the budget to helping develop Haivan and spread the indegnous language. In addition to the agreement on creating so called "Confederal libraries" aimed at storing knowledge and being free for all, and for all that the FJIP swore to back the government and help it pass laws and appoint justices. When it comes to the government, the Pastels and Lovers agreed on appointing Snezana Konstantinovna as Chief Executive of the Commissions, she's an MUP senator from Volosgrad that used to work as the caretaker secretary for the comission of finance and economic development, while the government itself was mostly composed of politicians from the Pastels while the remaining ones were handed over to the Lovers with almost all powerful commissions being held by women and most of the other commissions being held by women too, the Konstantinovna really showed how influential the MUP was during the formation of it. However during her inauguration speech and agenda for the legislature, Snezana stated, "My term as chief executive will be focused on reforming our economy through the use of investments and the balancing of our budget to reflect more the realities of our finances after I commission and independent team to establish clear and fact based stats on our finances. Not only that, I will also strive on reforming our society too by maintaining the current lax immigration laws and expand them even further for nations that are affected by political turmoil or natural disasters, and I'll also reintroduce culture and language revival programs that used to exist under the NEC and increase their funding to help ciment the multicultural world that is Nadiya. Either way, my term as chief executive will bring about a new future for Nadiya."

Prince Baek Seongmin granted asylum in Nadiya as he is elected into the CoN while hundreds of refugees are welcomed from Baeguk, celebrations held in Novo Gongmangdo: trailblazers from a broken nation
Rodashyam, Radin. Nobody in the chamber of nations and especially the senators from the Technocratic Alliance themselves to see one of their colleagues resign just for the recently exiled prince Baek Seongmin to replace him in a snap election yet nobody objected as his recent arrival was celebrated by members of the Nova Beagukiyan community as yet another member of the Baek royal family finds themselves in Nadiya and its political system. Coincidently, Seongmin's seat in the CoN is right next to the one held by Chaewon Beak, former empress of Beaguk, which caused a very awkward first meeting between the two royals that ended in Chaek teaching him the mechanisms of the CoN. When asked about his first experience as senator, Seongmin said in a very noticable Baegukian accent, "I personally think it was kind of confusing because no other nation in Terra has such a unique political system but it's oddly comfortable to me. I mean, I don't feel like I left home since everything I know is here but with a little charm you can't find anywhere else". In addition, the presidential council passed a measure granting political asalyum and Nadiyan citizenship to Beak Seongmin in accordance with the supreme court's rulling stating the constitutionality of foreigners running Nadiyan elections with the condition of them having lived in Nadiya for at least 3 months, the council also passed a motion accepting the arrival of 670 refugees from Baeguk into Nadiya under the guise of political refuge. Those wave of refugees has some worrying about a potential second Baegukian wave similar to the one witnessed during first Utopian era but chief executive Snezana quickly shut down those rumors as she reaffirmed Nadiya's commitment to working with both governments in Baeguk to help ensure regional stability and help achieve a peaceful solution to the conflict. Meanwhile, the city of Novo Gongmangdo announced that it will host celebrations for the Gao-shotan lunar calendar alongside a series of festivals and fares commemorating the deep link between Nova Beagukiyans and mainland Baegukans.

Modernizing Vrosnoki Education; Looking to create a diamond of education for the Confederation.
------------------------
June 23rd, 5655
------------------------
Education is vital to any nation. It allows growth, prosperity and all that good stuff. But most importantly, it allows identity to be explored, cultivated and grown. For Vrosnok however, education is often subpar. Compared to the rest of the Confederation, Vrosnok lags behind. To the rest of Keris, Vrosnok is depressing to say the least in terms of education. As such, the Kupala Administration is looking to change that. Not in a soft "throw money at the problem" kind of way, but in a drastic way. In a way that can one day, make Vrosnoki Education a diamond within the Confederation. Now, the biggest problem is defining what the goal of education is. For some countries, it's to succeed. Endless tests, stress, and numbers. Others focus on humanity. Breaks, student welfare, and mental health. But for Vrosnok? Education is an opportunity for culture.
As such, education in Vrosnok will be far more focused on culture. While higher education will be still be encouraged to be diverse, every Vrosnoki should be capable of being a poet (or at least completely understand their roots and culture) and that is what primary education will do. For starters, Krivian Identity and Heritage classes. These classes will be mandatory for students, primary focused around Junior High years. The goal of these classes will be to teach Krivian history, folklores, local geography of Vrosnok, Krivian communities abroad, and foundational civics. For history classes, they'll still be encouraged to teach Nadiyan History (we are proud members of the Confederation after all), but will be mandated to include a focus on local Vrosnoki history, especially before Nadiya's formation. Language Arts classes will be encouraged to teach about Krivian literature, and Music and Art classes will focus on historical Krivian instruments and embroidery.
But here's the big one. Egelion. Egelion is renowned for its elegance. And elegance means strong education. Their Real Academia effort is especially something that can help out Vrosnoki education, especially in modeling the national curriculum to be not only effective, but truly focused on culture. As such, Real Academia has been invited to establish a satellite office in Volosgrad for future cooperation between the Real Academia, and Vrosnoki educators. The Vrosnoki National University is expected to be one of many higher educational institutions to benefit immensely from this.
Alongside updating the curriculum, a budget boost. While it may put stress on the national budget, a budget boost will allow for modernized classrooms, better teaching materials, better paid educators, and it'll ensure that Vrosnoki education can compete with the rest of the Confederation. Whether it be paying for free lunches for all students (whether they be in private higher education, state higher education, or primary education), paying for teachers to be adequately trained and respected, ensuring classrooms aren't falling apart, or simply ensuring schools aren't flooded in snow, a higher budget will be worth the effort. Alongside this, of course, students from across the Confederation will be fully welcomed into Vrosnoki education, even if we aren't the first or ideal choice. While reviving the Krivian culture is vital, it must always be remembered. Non Krivians live, and exist in Vrosnok too. This is their home, as much as it is ours. Their identity is just as valid as ours. The Kupala Administration will need to balance both groups as revival continues.

Snezana announces the start of the Economic Revitalization Program by investing into the IT, oil and agricultural sectors: big plans for a big nation
Zarvosopol, Kozaki. The General Assembly today examined the government's budget meanwhile the Chamber of Justice questioned chief executive Konstantinovna on her administration's handling of the previous 5665 budget that was approved of the legislature way before Snezana took office. After the audit and examination, both chambers formed a joint economic and transparency committee to iron out the final details of the new budget because among the 300 pages detailing every thing necessary to keep Nadiya afloat, 5 pages were specifically dedicated to what is named the ERP or Economic Revitalization Program with approximately 5 billion Nadiyan ruble dedicated to it. The economic plan brought by the government, according to Snezana herself, will most focus on the IT, fossile fuel, and agricultural industries through state investments and attractive loans from the Nadiyan Central Bank that will help both private and state owned companies take off and keep themselves afloat in the new market. In addition, the confederated republics, alongside Haivan, will also have access to those benefits with the example used of Vrosnok and their recent investments into their own IT industry with promising results from it. Furthermore, the foreign co-ownership of Nadiyan oil and gas fields will see its limit raised from 40% to 55%, this will allow for an even greater space for foreing oil companies to invest into Nadiya because as of now the Lourennais have the biggest share as they coown 25% of Nadiyan oil and gas fields but their shares are put into question as Petri Royale operates sites have collapsed in term of productivity and efficiency compared to the ones operated by Nadcomp. It remains unclear what are the government's plans after the finalization of this one, but one thing is certain, Nadiya is gonna be back on track with full force.

Evelina Maximovna appointed governor of the NCB as she declares war against "financial banditry", the Nadiyan Ruble to undergo "major changes" she promises: an iron gantlet strangling the snake
Petrograd, Kozaki. Big changes are happening in Nadiya as the government enacts its economic reform of the nation by appointing Evelina Maximovna as governor of the central bank. Evelina used to work for the Brakavan ministry of finances before being appointed central banker of Radin where she stabilized the Radinese economy and helped them not default on their still eligible NEC loans, she is renowned for her bold approaches and strong gripped tactics when it comes to stabilizing institutions. So her appointment was a suprise for some of the opposition parties but still welcomed due to the Nadiyan economy stagnating in recent years following the improper regulation of the NRB and the laissez faire tactics of the old Danylivna administration that caused the ruble to collapse compared to its neighbors in Egelion and Dolgava. But as soon as her appointment was finalized, Evelina held a press conference in which she "declared war" against the 240 financial and banking institutions involved in dubious transfers and exchanges that evade the jurisdiction of the bank, thus she declared that major changes to the NRB will be implemented which means that Nadiyan citizens will "taste the sour first layer of the pill but once they lick the first layer out, they will taste something extraordinary" meaning that the cost of livings will increase and with them inflation because one of the key plans for Evelina's reforms is an increase in the value of the NRB through either its pegging to a more powerful or the forceful stopping of the central banks printing capacities alongside increasing Nadiya's foreign currency reserves. Not only that but she also floated the idea of letting the ruble loose and grant the right to determine its value to the market which could help attract more investors in exchange of higher inflation and a more volatile economic atmosphere but the threat of legal action persists due to her plans narrowly breaking the constitutional amendment mandating that the confederation must have a Socialized economy. Now only time will tell if her gambit with the Nadiyan economy will pay off.

Volosgrad City Council announces intents to develop public transportation; Keeping the city moving.
![[Image: vladivostok-russia-march-bus-rote-depart...125328.jpg]](https://thumbs.dreamstime.com/b/vladivostok-russia-march-bus-rote-departs-public-transport-stop-snowfall-early-sprin-spring-212125328.jpg)

Public transportation is vital for any major city. For Volosgrad, this is no exception. But unfortunately, Volosgrads public transportation is rather lacking. Something the Volosgrad City Council is all too aware of. And today, they look to change it. It's been announced that investments and efforts to develop the city's public transportation. Particularly with a focus on buses and teams. As such, the city has begun designing plans for an integrated tram and integrated bus network into the city, with the goal being to minimize potential disruptions. The Volosgrad Transit Authority (Валаградскае транспартнае ўпраўленне) will begin mapping out potential routes and plans for trams and buses. The goal will be to make sure public transportation isn't sidelined, but a main focus of Volosgrad. So far, 3 initial routes are being planned. East to West, North to South, and a cultural district loop. Pragmatic, and viable for tourists and history seekers.
The later phases of this goal is to launch the buses and trams, building the infrastructure for said public transportation, and roll the out en masse. Public transportation keeps cars off the road (allowing more mobility, essential transportation, commercial goods to be faster, and avoids traffic), and it also gives Volosgrad an identity beyonds being the capital. The City Council has confirmed that public transportation is a right, not a privilege and will be fully cost free. This is not only effective at normalizing it, but you can't beat the price of free. The buses and trams are likely to be contracted for construction from other Republics, but aren't expected to be rolled out onto Volosgrad until next summer. Already existing buses will need to be modernized, and will currently be given a funding boost to ensure smoother management.
This isn't going to be easily done for awhile, and is expected to fully he accomplished within a few years, but the Volosgrad City Council is certain that the move will benefit Volosgradians for decades to come.

The confederation to have its first ever surplus budget as major cuts toward welfare are done, pensioners start protesting the recent changes: sacrifices are necessary
Zarvosopol, Kozaki. The NGA was in uproar as chief executive Konstantinovna forcefully passed the budget for the year 5666 by proclaiming article 54.3 of the constitution that allows the chief executive to force through a bill in the NGA with the approval of the presidential council. The budget itself was passed last November but one of the key legislation inside of it were being stalled by the opposition in hopes of killing them off. The legislation that were targeted were the "Welfare Restructuring & Filtration" Act that put strict requirements for welfare and even shut down multiple welfare programs in favor of regional level and private welfare, but also pensioners and veteran payments too because ever since the Nadiyan Liberation War more than 3 million ex soldiers and veterans were collecting welfare checks and abusing the government sponsored pride reduction measures. As such, more than than 45% of welfare was cut from this year's budget with the NCB reporting that the 5666 budget will be the first one in the history of the confederation to have a surplus. The surplus expected following the welfare cuts was calculated to be around 7% of GDP, this would allow for Nadiya to start paying off its debt that was calculated to be around 130% of GDP, alongside the recent reforms to the NRB that central bank governor Evelina announced last year, Nadiya is set to begin working on improving its credit rating and ultimately become more attractive to investors. Finally the law wasn't met with compliance as multiple pension organizations have announced that they will begin protesting the decision be it in the streets or through the justice system so they can take the matter to the supreme court and have it rule on its constitutionality.
