Results of the September, 5620 Consultative Assembly election.

Kafuri's went to the polls to elect a new Consultative Assembly in the September, 5620 elections. In accordance with law, elections are to be held every 7 years and the last election, held in December, 5613 saw the moving of the timeline up to September from December. The Society of the King, the largest political party, has remained at the top of the polls in the run up to the election according to the al-Kasraj University's College of Political Science which, since the late 1950s has conducted in-depth polling to determine Kafuri's political trends and remains one of the most prominent institutions in research for Kafuri politics. In the election, several other parties were competing for seats, including the Majatran Socialist Ba'ath Party, the Kafuri Communist Party, Organization of Ahmadi Scholars, Constitutional Democratic Movement and several prominent independent candidates, including two members of the al-Ahaz family who have floated developing a political party. His Majesty, King Jalal, has welcomed the development of political parties over the past several years since the inception of the Majalite Kingdom, as did his predecessor, King Bassam II.

According to the Ministry of the Interior, which manages and formalizes the results, announced that the Society of the King won 289 seats, making it the largest party in the Consultative Assembly and securing 52.5% of the vote. The Majatran Socialist Ba'ath Party emerged as the second largest party, with 118 seats for a total of 21.5% of the total vote. Close allies and supporters of the Ba'athist, the Kafuri Communist Party, won 52 seats with 9.5% of the vote. The Organization of Ahmadi Scholars, which has been closely linked to the banned Ahmadi Liberation Party, secured 41 seats (7.5%) of the vote. The pro-monarchy Constitutional Democratic Movement secured 34 seats (6.2%) of the vote. 16 independents, including Zuhair al-Ahazi and his brother, Salaah al-Ahazi were elected. Independents won a total of 2.9% of the vote with "Others" winning no seats.

It is likely that the aging Prime Minister, Qutb al-Sabet who has served in his position since 5600, will step down in favor of a newer, younger candidate. Sources close to His Majesty, King Jalal, expect that the Society of the King and the Constitutional Democratic Movement will form a coalition with the Ba'athist continuing to provide support. Secretary-General of the Organization of Ahmadi Scholars, Abdul Khaliq el-Hamdan, has condemned the elections as "unfair", "undemocratic" and "...against Akim's will." despite being elected as a deputy to the Consultative Assembly.

Path of the People is a joint newspaper published by the Majatran Socialist Ba'ath Party and the Kafuri Communist Party.
September 5621 | Regional Secretary-General Raad al-Sadhi brings together Solentian Ba'athist in Kasraj.

Regional Secretary-General Raad al-Sadhi has brought together the Majatran leadership of the Majatran Socialist Ba'ath Party - Solentia Region and the Majatran Socialist Ba'ath Party - Mafqud Region. "al Mafqud" is what some Majatran irredentist refer to Solentia as in lieu of al-Sahil meaning "The Lost" or "The Missing" referring to the belief that the lands of Solentia are "lost" to the Majatran people. The leadership meeting, conducted at the National Command Headquarters in Kasraj, was seen as a chance for the two factions competing in Solentia to unify. The tension between the two factions was prominent during the mid-56th century and came to a head during the conflict in Solentia, this changed overtime and the two factions, while not unified often worked together at the end of the 56th century and dawn of the 57th century. The meeting is expected to merge the two parties, allegedly keeping the Mafqud name, much to the chagrin of the native Dudmani people and the government of Solentia.
  • Kafuri Communist Party elects Hadi Al-Mujahid as General-Secretary, succeeding Zaki al-Sayfi.

General Sheikhli was in attendance at the Kasraj International Air Power Expo, which was being held in Kasraj and aiming to expand the Kafuri Majatran Air Force (KMAF). While the focus for the Kafuri government underneath Chief Minister Hafez al-Fayad, especially in the field of public works where the Kafuri government has gone on a "modernization" program and installing sidewalks, paving roadways, installing traffic signs, street lights and traffic control lights, they have kept a careful eye on foreign affairs, especially regional affairs. The recent tensions in Deltaria internally provide "worry" for the Kafuri government and have been personally broached by His Majesty, King Jalal II according to sources close to the royal court say.

Kafuristan, a member of the Coalition of Royal Organizations and Willing Nations, has brought to the CROWN membership the establishment of an intervention force lead by Kafuristan should the situation in Deltaria further devolve. Officials from the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Trade and Industry, which largely oversee the external trade and economic development of Kafuristan have warned investors about further investment into Deltaria due to "...increased domestic tensions." Kafuri offer Jakania support on eastern border with Deltaria as crisis grow.
February, 5631

Chief of Staff of the Border Security General Directorate, Major General Ehenkouen ag El Mokhtar, announced that the government of Kafuristan was offering to deploy an independent battalion of Border Guards to Jakania to assist in operations in eastern Jakania. The situation in eastern Jakania remains tense as fighting has broken out across Deltaria; Chief Minister Hafez al-Fayed made overtures to the National Liberation Council in Jakania to accept their assistance. The BSGD would deploy an independent battalion, typically utilized to secure high-level facilities and areas, to eastern Jakania where they would provide assistance to Jakania as they undergo a transformation after years of stagnation and leadership crisis's. The government in Kasraj has approached Jakania, a fellow Ahmadi state, with caution but according to sources close to the Chief Minister, he believes this is a perfect time for the formation of a Ahmadi dedicated organization, a revival of the Ahmadi Cooperation Council (ACC) or the Majatran Ahmadi dominated, Majatran Cooperation Council (MCC).

April 5631 | Kafuristan modernizes air force, grants Hutori temporary air basing rights.
General al-Ghazal at the upgrading of al-Kader Air base.

Commander of the Kafuri Air Force, General Nizaar al-Ghazal, announced that the Hutorian government had requested temporary basing rights at General Hayder ibn Fathi al-Kader Air Base, commonly called al-Kader Air Base, should tensions with Deltaria increase in the region. The Kafuri and Hutorian governments have maintained cordial relations and Hutorian forces have often trained and cooperated with Kafuri forces over the years. The approval was given after a meeting between His Majesty, King Jalal II, General al-Ghazal, the Chief Minister and the Hutorian ambassador. In exchange, the Hutorian government will renew training and support agreements with the Kafuri Armed Forces and once again the Kafuri and Hutorian Armed Forces will train together, a massive boon for the Kafuri Armed Forces to have new training partners and support.

In addition, al-Ghazal announced that the 3rd Wing, stationed at al-Kader Air Base, would be receiving the new jointly produced J-10 fighter jets by Majatran Organization for Industrialization as part of a massive modernization effort. He announced that the 4th Wing would also be receiving these new aircraft. In recent years, following the Peninsula War, the Kafuri government had made upgrading and modernizing the Kafuri Air Force a major program. One of the key weaknesses that allowed such an aggressive invasion into Kafuri lands was the lack of modern aircraft and command and control. While the Kafuri's have dominated in the drone field, they have lacked behind in modernizing their aircraft.

The introduction of F-16 fighters from Lodamun, the increased production of the JF-17 and the new introduction of the J-10, the last two designed with Yingdalan firms, are potent increases for what Gath Defense Collective calls the "preeminent power" in Southeast Majatra.
